221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: November 15, 2017, 09:20:08 AM
Is this coin worth mining?

You can check it like this.
Check hashrate of your hardware: http://monerobenchmarks.info/
The hashrate is same for intense because it use cryptonight algo which is same as monero.

Go to a mining pool like http://itns.intensepool.net/
Enter your hashrate in "Estimate Mining Profits" form.
As an example I get 500 H/s with my Ryzen 7 1700 CPU so I enter 0.5 kH/s in the form.
The response right now is 1088 ITNS/day. This value is changing depending on mining difficulty but it is an estimate of the profit right now.

Check the value of ITNS on stocks.exchange
Right now 1 ITNS has been can be sold for 0.00000018 BTC (highest buying bid)
1088 ITNS = 1088 * 0.00000018 BTC = 0.00019584 BTC

Check value of 1 BTC
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/
1 BTC = $6930

1088 ITNS = $6930 * 0.00019584 = $1.36

There is better hardware like AMD Vega 56 GPU that with tweaking can get 2000 H/s.

As Always you have to think of price of electricity, Power draw and price of hardware. If you beleive the value of the Intense coin will rise in future it might be even more profitable to mining and holding the coins. But so far has mining been quite profitable.

Ok I got a 1070, and according to the site it says I should get 500 H/s.  ( same as you )
I guess the profit is the same as ZCASH.
I have to read up more on this, not sure if I should change.

thx

Is this coin worth mining?

Yes it is! You need to think for future and pe patient. When price rise on 500-1000 satoshi you will be sorry why you have not mined now when diff is so low.
Price 500-1000 Satoshi? oh, dreams of a dream .... Maybe in a year or two, but in the near future very much I doubt

where can I find the price of thing?
I cant see it on any exchange.
So your saying I should stop mining ZCASH and go all in on this?

Any solid pools in Europe where they have  Einsteinium (EMC2)? I have read bad things about supernova.

Can you let me know what bad things you heard about supernova?  I am currently mining other coins there, they seem ok.
Thanks

Guys I installed this new wallet
https://github.com/bitcoinz-pod/bitcoinz-wallet/releases/tag/1.1.0_1.2

on my D drive but it installed the wallet wallet.dat file on my C:\Users\Desktop\AppData\Roaming\BitcoinZ directory.  Why the heck does it install it on my C drive?  How can I change this?  If my PC blows up then I am screwed.
Can I change this directory to another drive or does it have to be on my C drive?

Hi,
can someone tell me exactly how I can buy some of these coins at Bitrex?
Do I have to first create a wallet there?
I have ZCASH and Bitcoin at another account, do I have to send them into a Bitrex wallet?

Regards

make an account on bittrex, send some bitcoins to the bitcoin wallet associated with your account (there are tutorials here on the forum), and buy some EMC2 with bitcoins.

Thx I tried to create a EMC2 wallet there, they disabled it!!
But I dont need to make it right? I guess i can just buy with bitcoin correct?
Also would it be wise to buy now? Or wait for a pullback?

Also, QT wallet is 1.5GB and not 150GB.

This does not look good:
https://www.bitsonline.com/bitcoin-gold-scam-btg/

"Coinbase, Bittrex Refuse to Support BTG

Two of the world’s most dominant crypto exchanges—Coinbase and Bittrex—have officially come out against supporting the Bitcoin Gold fork.

Coinbase is standing their ground as the BTG devs refuse to release the BTG code, which is a huge “red flag” for Coinbase’s compliance officers.

Bittrex—the 3rd largest exchange in the world—is refusing along similar lines:

“At this time, the information and codebase presented by the Bitcoin Gold team is not in a functional state and Bittrex will not commit to opening a Bitcoin Gold trading market.”

One question what does "Round earnings est:" mean on the suprnova Dashboard settings site?
Is that the number of coins estimated to be earned per day?

Regards
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Gold? on: November 13, 2017, 09:56:04 PM
I have been on supernova for past 12 hours so far the total earnings are:
0.06231782 BTG
this is with 4K Sol/s

Not bad i guess, but the problem with their site is I cannot even see numbers on my dashboard, seems like they fancy graphics instead of just plain text, so I cannot see my confirmed and unconfirmed totals.

This BTG is just a big joke

I mean, a scam you try to hide it... but this! this is to much!!
If you don't take part in it, it really is funny!

I enjoyed the SIGT drama, but this one is killing it.
stolen testnet hash, official website down for days, premine scam after launch,
and now the split chain!!

Come on! What's next I wanna know!!!

Your 100% correct,
this is not only a joke but a complete nightmare for me.
I have been jumping from pool to pool, then guess what, the wallets are not working!

Your right, the website is completely dead.
Luckily for me I, setup everything beforehand and still continuing to mine.
whew, that was close

Best bet for now is suprnova because you don't need a wallet for now.
I would never mine on the official pool, they already demonstrated their professionalism and we all know they are crooks, so...

Yeah I am mining on Suprnova, currently have Unconfirmed: 0.0402 BTG.  Not bad for a few hours of mining.
Just hope I could get paid somehow.

Also moved to Suprnova... hopefully the BTG from the official pool actually comes through somehow.
Hi, for me it's not even possible to connect suprnova webpage, it seems that it's overloaded...
