221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 10, 2024, 01:41:36 PM
I don’t see any discussion here at least on the last 3 pages of this thread so I’ll begin do you’ll think the Indian management has taken a step back by bringing Kohli and Rohit in to the T20 squad because this was an excellent time to test youngsters before the upcoming T20 World Cup. Furthermore I also wonder if they both underperform in IPL will they really be dropped or they’ll be selected citing experience is needed?
I disagree. Rohit and Virat are class performers and it's best to stick to the big guns in such big ICC tournaments. T20 World Cup 2024 is just a couple of months away which is why their selection makes complete sense.

If it was many months away, I would have agreed with you. They just need more luck to go their way in the finals of these big ICC events.
222  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Overview] Comprehensive list of Crypto Sportsbooks v2 (Updated) - New Poll - on: January 10, 2024, 06:49:54 AM
Just stumbled onto your review thread op and I really like how you organised everything neatly which isn't the easiest thing to do especially with Bitcointalk's archaic formatting tools and is worth appreciating.

I advise adding more popular sites like Crypto.Games, Rollbit, Fairlay etc to your list in the near future. Just my 2 cents.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2024, 04:11:22 PM
The ground on which the second Test match between India vs South Africa was played ended in less than two days, earning a demerit point by the ICC. The match ended two days early and both teams bowled a total of 600+ balls due to which the second Test ground earned this demerit from the ICC. Earlier we also saw that against New Zealand, Bangladesh earned a team score point from the ICC for producing such poor wickets. Basically ICC gives such demerit points if the wicket is of extra poor quality.
Makes sense! Personally, I enjoyed the test since wickets were falling like dominoes everywhere and it turned into an ODI before we knew it. The ICC should start giving demerit points to themselves too for some of their shitty, archaic rules.

They need to give demerit points to umpires too since their decisions are turning out to be wrong way too often in recent times.
224  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 09, 2024, 03:58:30 PM
Take for instance in this very forum as majority of the forum users have already known that 1xbit is a scam company, even if they return to promote in this forum with a good amount of money, you will still see many forum users who will sacrifice their accounts to promote them because of the bucks of dollar they will bring to the table.
True. Greedy idiots keep checking this forum on a regular basis for shitty sites like 1xbit to resume their signature campaigns in order to earn easy money since their negative tags block them from all legit campaigns.

That is exactly what happens with those blockchain explorers and other sites that 1xbit advertises on. They do little or no research about the company since the age of the domain is old enough they will assume that they are sincere and keep advertising them to get the money.
Many of those sites are aware of 1xbit's reputation, but still advertise it for quick profit based on what I observed.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casino has the best bonuses? on: January 09, 2024, 06:40:23 AM
Almost all popular crypto gambling sites offer similar bonuses which is why I wouldn't choose them based on this particular criteria. Instead, I tend to focus on more important criteria such as reliability, deposit/withdrawal fees, wagering requirements etc.

Also, many sites drastically decreased their bonuses in recent times which is why they aren't very appealing anymore.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 08, 2024, 05:34:42 PM
Sri Lanka should be ashamed of themselves to be frank. They almost lost against a weaker team when the target itself was small on their own turf. They barely won at the end thanks to the tail performing well.

Ngarava was phenomenal and decimated the Lankans along with Raza. Great stuff Zimbabwe!
227  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 08, 2024, 01:41:27 PM
Of course, I will not use the gambling site as I know anytime my money would be gone, but I can't help but say that they are really good in marketing. If only they were able to manage their reputation, they are probably one of the biggest casino now.
They are connected to big sites like 1xbet which is why they have access to plenty of resources due to which they extensively marketed themselves on various platforms and signed some big sponsorship deals.

However, I doubt they would be extremely popular even if they fixed their reputation completely since there are way better alternatives out there.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich, you have to become immune to the money.......! on: January 08, 2024, 06:09:36 AM
Everyone knows how to become rich -> Hard work + Luck! Both are required in tandem to ensure that you earn a shitload of money majority of the time. Exceptions are stuff like lottery wins etc which only depend on luck minority of the time.

Also, 99.99% of us cannot become immune to money which is why the quotation that you shared is silly op.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 07, 2024, 08:13:48 PM
I think earlier in cricket it was seen that weak teams won't win easily against any strong team but now if you look there are good teams they lose a match to a very weak team in a series. And according to the performance of that match we cannot guess which team is better or which team is weaker.
Big example to justify whatever you stated is Afghanistan. They ended up defeating big teams like England and Pakistan in the ODI World Cup and almost brought down the winner of the tournament(Australia).

This sort of volatility is what makes the sport of cricket way more interesting and entertaining.

[Overview] Bitcointalk Contests And Giveaways
Great suggestion! I found out about this thread a long time ago, but forgot about it completely. It's pretty evident that he updates it regularly which deserves appreciation in my honest opinion.

This is probably the best solution that members like @Lucasgabd are looking for.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2024, 01:13:09 PM
In English conditions our chances against any SENA country in a one-off test (finals) are slim. So yeah,  another choke might be on the cards. Not because we are weak but teams need some match practice to get used to the conditions. For SENA it's familiar conditions so it suits them more. The situation would be exactly the opposite if WTC finals are scheduled in the Subcontinent.
India could still win the final in a SENA country if Ishant could play along with Bumrah, Shami, Ashwin and Siraj, but that won't happen since Ishant got old and Ashwin is getting sidelined.

On the other hand, the Indian spinners would have a field day if the final took place at home thanks to the slower pitches as you mentioned.
232  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 07, 2024, 06:59:25 AM
The KYC is a norm now and the established casinos and exchanges will continue to ask for KYC whenever they need it but a new setup often uses terms like No-KYC to convince users that you're not going to be asked for KYC details even in future. But, they can change their policies anytime and no one can stop them or do anything against them.

I believe the KYC enabled casinos aren't bad at all because they're asking for KYC but surely one would prefer a non-KYC casino if he/she thinks a lot about his/her privacy.
Well said. I have noticed this particular trend too a long time ago. I used to feel delighted seeing so many no-KYC casinos, but not anymore due to all the reasons that you specifically mentioned.

The only proper no-KYC casinos are the decentralised ones which have their own set of issues like low liquidities etc.
233  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: January 06, 2024, 07:47:59 PM
While on slots the RTP always stay the same. In one hour you will be able to play hundreds of spins on any slot, how many 3000x parlays you can build in one hour on a sportbook?
Quality over quantity! You stand a greater chance at winning x3000 parlays if you are skilled and if luck goes your way when compared to slots where the house edge is higher and it's completely dependent on luck itself.

I bet smartly by compounding arbitrage bets equalling x1000 odds and carefully avoid getting limited by sticking to popular markets.

oh, haven't seen this one
I wish roobet had a newsletter or there was a way to receive emails about new contests in bitcointalk
sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the new content around...
I don't think any of that is really necessary to be honest because checking the services section of this forum now and then is what most members including me do and that's how we find out about these art contests.

Also, it's very easy to find them in the services section since it's literally the only contest that Roobet consistently organises these days.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 06, 2024, 01:53:37 PM
T20 is great and we see more people are watching it but look at what it is doing, to the traditional cricket form which is test cricket and we witnessed the shortest test match recently between IND vs SA and the last record was in 19th century.
I don't know why so many are bummed about that particular test being the shortest test ever since I enjoyed it a lot. Tests as the name implies are tests for both teams in all areas which is why they can end in 1 day or not end even after 5 days.

Exactly, all these leagues are more money than the actual sport which uses the fanactics drive their business and try to reach new heights.
All of that doesn't really matter as long as we are getting entertained at the end of the day which is the whole point of these sports events.
236  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 06, 2024, 04:43:59 AM
Congrats to all staff of sportsbet, I know it's a huge amount for you guys but it's also a milestone for the company and to the winner as well.
Why in the world would you congratulate the team knowing fully well that it's a huge loss for them? Lol! The team should only be congratulated for dispersing such a humungous amount in a timely manner without any issues.

It might be necessary to celebrate the championship on the podium and the prize should be given symbolically, to inspire other gamblers.  Cheesy
Inspire other gamblers? Bad idea. These are extremely rare wins which is why trying to replicate them is just silly.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 07:27:00 PM
So fascinating to see how much Indian board is dominating but it doesn't look good for the future of cricket right?
Wrong. The Indian board is dominating because their country has the highest population in the world and many of them watch cricket on a regular basis which is why they deserve the high percentile share.

Franchise sports are more of a business than sport so if it starts to take over the international games then we may not see the cricket to be seen as a real sport.
Wrong again. Firstly, which major sport isn't a business? Secondly, franchise leagues helped cricket as a sport immensely recently. Leagues like the IPL rank among top NBA, NFL, FIFA leagues these days.
238  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 05, 2024, 04:57:49 PM
Holy smokes! 42 million bucks? That's enough money for several generations for most people around the world. He is obviously a whale which is why I wonder whether he is still in profit/loss overall.

Anyway, this sort of stuff happens very, very rarely especially in slots where the house edge is high, but it's good to see such crazy wins being paid out through crypto gambling sites.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 12:58:26 PM
Looks like the Aussies are all set to whitewash Pakistan as expected. I thought that they could at the very least draw the match, but they messed up big-time thanks to Hazlewood absolutely decimating them.

Australia continues rising while Pakistan keeps falling across all formats of cricket these days.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees and how we accept its volatility on: January 05, 2024, 06:35:26 AM
This is predictable. The fees will definitely return to 100% normal level soon, but the big issue here is that we have no idea when it will go back up again thanks to ordinals crap and miners focusing on their own profits(Understandable).

This is why I decided to completely switch to altcoins like LTC whose fees are always dust until the BTC fees mess gets sorted out completely.
