ROI was recently added to CryptoHub exchange  Shocked

https://cryptohub.online/market/ROI/

This is an awesome NEWS! Finally!

Thanks to everyone who helped this happen.

I am confused what is the current price for ROI at Cryptohub. It can't be right. It's quite high if I read it right. I wish it's that high though.

last price was about 56 sats at CoinsMarkets which is way too low. I just checked CryptoHub and the highest buy order is 40 sats but only for 37 coins and after that it is 4 sats for 12475 roi. I don't think anybody would be crazy enough to lose that much money and sell the coin for  4 sats. Might as well just give it away for free lol. The sell wall looks good with the lowest sell order at 500 sats right now!

There are a lot of crazy dudes out there in crypto selling at all kinds of crazy prices -.- and 4 sats is still better than giving it away for free. Imagine 5 years from now : 1 satoshi = $10,000! Smiley

And we all be happy we 12 month our coins Wink

That is the part I was confused about. On top of CryptoHub page is says that last price was 0.00005 BTC or 500 Satoshi. Am I reading it wrong?

Also, if I check Sell ROI, it goues for 0.00004396 and Buy ROI for 0.00004404.. More confusing..

Sell is what you list them at. Buy is what you want to pay for them.

I know that but average price is 0.00004 BTC which is 400 Satoshi or $0.47 USD. That can't be!? What am I reading wrong?

Seems a good price to me Cheesy but you missed something 0.000004 = 0.05 usd

Can anyone help me understand how to use CPU Miner — Affinity Setting Tool ( https://phempshall.github.io/cpuminer-affinity-setter/ )?

I manually configured affinity but this web site said to  "Launch CPUMiner with the following parameters: " --cpu-affinity 15 --cpu-priority 4 ".

That's what confusing me.

If I mine in the pool I use:  hodlminer.exe -t 10 -q -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u myaddress -p x

Do I use affinity parameters in this command?

what did this tool use for ,any profit when mining?

Configuring affinity helps with H/s and better CPU utilization. I have it already configured manually as it was discussed before in this forum. Now I am using less CPU (saves power too) and getting higher hashrate.

Setting the CPU affinity can be hit and miss on some systems. I know on my own system it is a pain to set the affinity so I my self use the windows task manager to set my affinity. The down side to this is I have to do it each time I run the miner. However I have cut my power use and increased my hash rate.

Quote
Run the program with out any -t command in the bat. Then go to task manager. Click Prosses tab. Then RIGHT click the hodlminer and click go to details. Right click again and click set affinity. Then you can select the CPU threads you wish to use

Following the info above my system is allways under 52% CPU use and getting more hash rate than it was befor.
Some of you may think 48% saving is not much but when each cpu is using 130 watts of power and you have 4 of them (520 watts) and you drop it to 52% that drops the power use to 270.4 watts from the CPUs. Big big saving Cheesy

I agree 100% withy everything you said here, and in some follow-ups on this discussion. I was just hoping to use command line (at the same time I start miner) instead of, as you said by yourself " The down side to this is I have to do it each time I run the miner". And yes, it works on some, but not other computers. I was still able to cut 50% on CPU (and save on power) on half of my computers.

Im happy to help cut your costs even if not on on all of your computers.  Did you see any HR go up?

As a matter of fact, few really good computers did see HR goes up. Not much, maybe 10%, but CPU utilization went down 50%.

I think that you said it befoe, and I agree that miner probably can be improved if 50% of CPU gives 10% more HR.

I wish someone can rework miner to use 100% CPU and theoretically, it would provide 50% higher HR.

Im using https://github.com/Orava2/ and find I get the best hr from his miners.

I am working with him to see if we can find that gap to see if we can get the miner pumping more hash out.

One of the big things with this miner is the affinity. It would be nice if we could see it set up much like xmr stak locks on to the cpu cores.
But as you and I know the problem with the miners is some cpus are happy to sit at 50% and pump the same or more and others slow down when changing the affinity.

This is what I have been saying once the network hash rate jumps this coin is going to be hard to get lots of without term deposets. So let them sell them off cheep if they dont value there work. In time they will be the ones siting back and saying ow shit I sold my coins way to cheep.

Very good to hear. Thanks for listing it on your exchange....

Now them who sell coins dont go and undervalue your coin. Roi will become hard to mine once there is a lot of hash on the network.
Dont you be one of them who says in 2 years "I sold 20k coins for 0.00000000000001 BTC each and now there 0.001 BTC."

Raster.

That's what you hope for but who knows what the world looks like in 2 years from now? There are probably 100,000 coins by then.

Yes but there will only be one ROI coin. We see new coins come and go all the time. Just look at the XMR forks. I have seen loads of cryptonight coins come and go in the last year.
There will always be a call for crypto coins now. ROI coin is one of the few coins out there that could work as a globle coin for buying and selling on the web. Even lil billy can mine it and make coins. Even if you can not mine you can buy just 1 coin and get over 700% intreset on that one coin in a year. I know of no other coin that will give you such reterns that is not a ICO coin.

With work we could see websites taking ROI coin in like they would cash. Yes all sites can do that with any coin. But roi coin gives the lil guy the chance to make coins as he plays games on his pc. I my self play on my PC at 5k res and still have it mining ROI as I play by just changing the affinity so some of the cores are free so I can play my games.

A coin is only worth what you value it at. Just like a us doller. That holds its value by what you place on it.

Last year I was mining a shit coin and someone said after a month of mining it the coin was worthless and they had 500k of the coins. I offered the guy $10 for his coins and he said no. I just said well its not worthless then is it.

at this point in time the network has around 95KH on it. Mining the pool with 1KH will net you around 600-800 coins a day. If the network hash jumps to 200kh that will half. if it jumps to 400kh that will half again and so on. Lets not go and forget that most miners of this coin have stock PCs with a 8 core CPU mining pulling them around 500hs so they will get around 300-600 coins a day today so if that is /4 thats 75-150 coins a day just with the network hash jumping to 400kh.  The term deposet starts looking very nice then.

It was about 10-15%

How do you do that exactly. I have a dual xeon setup with two X5650s and using the miner in the wallet i get around 580h/s. However powerdraw is around 150w per cpu. I would like to reduce power draw while keeping my hashrate. Is that possible? If yes how?

I should make a note to other miners of this coin to play with the affinity of there miners.

I have found that setting the miners up in the same way as I would XMR Stak seems to work best.

My test rig is a HP DL580 with 4 x e7-4850 CPUs.

I find that running the miners with no -t setting to be best. Then I set the affinity from windows task manager.

My cpus are under 60% on each running in a manner of 11101010101010101010. So 1 being active thread and 0 being inactive thread. And I have them set like that on each CPU its giving more hash speed and using less power.

My laptop is runing a i5 2 core 4 thread and just 3mb L3 cache. I have that set to 3 thereads and that is doing the same amount of hash per sec as it would on 4 threads. So check your affinity you can save on power and get the same or more hash per sec.

EDIT:

Im now running my cpus as 10101010101010101010 on each of them. so core on HT not in use.

NOTE: Terning HT off in the bios slowed the HR down 10101010101010101010 was done by windows task manager. /affinity xx did not work for me.
/node 0 or /node 1 and so on do not work for me correct on the hodlminer.exe so just manual setting in windows task man seems to be the way to go.

So what miner are you using? The in-wallet miner?

Im using https://github.com/Orava2/

I do test other miners I find as and when that support hodl algo.

We are only 100-150 who mining this coin.
We need to be on more pool so people can see us, but no open source pool software have this algo in stratum code default.

I want more peaple can see and hear about this coin, everybody can mine this with there computer whitout expensive hardware.

We can see this like Premining its going to be big. hehe Smiley

Yes more pools are needed. It would be nice to see the coin on more than just one pool. Cheesy

There were some doubts about this coin from my friends, but I believe in success.

I must say when I 1st looked at this coin back in nov 2017 I to had some doubts. But the doubts did not stay long once I seen how active the devs was and how they set for the 1st fork and then fixed the 2nd fork.

90% of coins flop when it comes to the wallets and blockchain forks. This team was more than up to it.

The things they are doing with the coin and the fact there infront on the road map is top stuff. All my hash power has been on this coin since back in nov 2017.

ROI coin has a very very good outlook for a alt coin. I my self can not wait to see the coin over the next 5 years. The coin can offer so much that other coins can not.

The fact its a coin almost anyone can mine. Even with a old computer if you only got 1 coin a day that would be around 8 coins a day with the 15% and the 12 month term.

Its a coin anyone can mine and get more ROI over time.

Now we just need someone to set a website up so I can buy CD keys with ROI coin Cheesy and all is good Wink

Replace xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with your wallet address, and save
Edit *.bat file that start mining in pool with this line
Quote
hodlminer -a hodl -o http://127.0.0.1:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 4 --coinbase-addr=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Again replace xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with your wallet address, save and than execute *.bat file
The wallet must be running to in order to mining the coin in solo mode

Thanks! I got 240-270 h/s on solo mining Smiley
and in task menager I see that miner use only 1GB of RAM, if I increase it would my hash power also increase?

No more instances will keep the same hash rate but move it over 2gb and not just 1 gb.

Can I mine ROICoin if my cpu doesn't supports AVX2 instructionset?

I have old laptop with i3 M330 procesor and I want to mine ROICoin on it, but when I open hodlminer on it, hodlminer crush.

I see this error describe:

Files that help describe the problem:
  C:\Users\Frycu\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE407.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
  C:\Users\Frycu\AppData\Local\Temp\WEREFBB.tmp.appcompat.txt
  C:\Users\Frycu\AppData\Local\Temp\WEREFBC.tmp.mdmp

Can I repair it?

Or maybe there is another miner for ROICoin than hodlminer?

Hi there,

Give this miner a go. Use the sse2 and see if she fires up Cheesy

https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binary/blob/master/hodlminer-orava2017v2.zip

I run it, but after few second it close.
Last line say about stratum restart.

Core 2 non aes works, but it make 15h/s ... it's terrible small amount of hashes, ss2 should give better results?

Ok it may be that your CPU is not sse2. If you have -t in your bat file remove the "-t 4" or what ever you may have. sometimes the -t bugs it out.

Other than that I cant help much on this one sorry.

Sounds fun, I'm in. Currently my wallet says it's 10 weeks behind. How long does it take to synchronize usually?
Also is this a proper address?

RLeVJvFsNV8B71d5AbnEZHn8zTXpMjQMbb

Thanks.

That looks like a correct address to me I sent you some coins to have a play with Wink enjoy. Wallets are fast to sync much faster than most coins. I have downloaded the block chain a few times without any problems.

Raster.

Very good news from the dev team!
I sincerely hope that this coin will live long and prosper. And am silently dreaming of a new pool on suprnova.cc. If they are not too busy doing other coins  Smiley

I to would like to see a pool on suprnova. I have emailed them more than once in regards to getting them to run a ROICoin pool and have yet to get a responce back.

Maybe if others contacted them to asking for them to do a pool we will see one there. Thats not to say I dont like the coins pool because I do. But I like to see coins have more than one pool incase of problems with pools miners can then jump to the next pool.

So drop them a mail and lets see if we can get ROI a 2nd pool. Who knows maybe if they get enough intrest they will pop a pool up Cheesy

I have invested time and money in this coin. I have patiently waited for the fork,  so the currency would enter to the exchanges. It has not happened yet.

I asked this questions previously and nobody answered me. I hope to be lucky this time:
What will happen to Roicoin? Will it be included in some exchange? Yes or no?

Its on a Excange right now. https://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-ROI.htm

The exchange moved to a new datacenter and moving and syncing and making things work so traders dont loos coins takes time.
Keep checking the exchange. Feel free to contact the exchange your self and ask them why you cant trade there yet. They will tell you the same things take time to move.

Very interesting, I also wanted to buy eoy coins, because I earned a little in the subscription, but will it be listed on the stock exchange or not? It's very important to know the plans of the developer.

When I said an exchange I was referring to Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex, Cryptopia, C-cex, Hitbtc, ( Yobit ) etc.
Is it in your plans to put Roi coin in an exchange?

Sorry I am not a dev on the coin I just help out here and there.

From what I know the devs have payed for yobit and are waiting for coinsmarket to get right befor they go live with that exchange. The coin has also had a problem or 2 that was not forseen and they are taking time to know that all is good befor pushing on. There is a market push due too. Read the whitepaper and road map. The team are ahead of there plans so all is good Cheesy
