221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bithumb Got Hacked Stolen 30 Million dollars worth of crypto (June 20, 2018) on: June 20, 2018, 05:06:32 PM
Why do we hear of exchange hacks now every time? This is not good for cryptos. Bithumb must shoulder the damage. It is their fault and I blame an in-house staff that could do that. I hope this will not suffer bitcoin price to crash again.
Most of the things that happen like this are somehow linked to an in-house activity and that I must say is a huge amount of funds. Relying totally on exchanges for the security of one's fund is something no one should ever do. What is important is to trade only the things you can afford to let go.

No exchange is above being hacked, as there could be some loopholes that hackers can utilize to do just that. Hopefully, they are going to be fixing the damages as mentioned by the team.
222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need money... on: June 20, 2018, 04:08:34 PM
Yes, there's possible chance for the market to gain some pump in price in 15days time because the bitcoin usually pump when it Q3 of every year and as you can see the market is strong around the $6000-6500 price range.
15 days ? There is absolutely no way anyone can know that, so it is always better to know that the future is unpredictable, the market may go lower and it may end up going upper, but the current situation of things with the OP require an urgent need.
Unless he can source for the funds from somewhere else without it ending up as a pressure on him in the short term, then, that would be the best move while waiting for the market to recover, otherwise, he may not have any other choice.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ? on: June 20, 2018, 01:14:30 PM
Probably I will be too simple, but I count as the unique advantage of online gambling is that you can totally chill during the game this fact can be really helpful in win.
I do not understand that in full sense. Chill after winning a game or chill at some point after losing ?
That is not a unique advantage, as chilling only depends on each individual and asides that you have people around, the same feelings when playing a game that you will have in a casino is the same feelings you will still have online gambling. Also, nothing is helpful when it comes to winning, and the most important thing is to know your chances of losing is high.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: June 20, 2018, 11:52:10 AM
Almost all type of gamblers don’t know how to control their emotions and how to control themselves and they continue to gamble until they get themselves completely destroyed in the process and yes it is like a drug because many people get addicted to it, they destroy themselves and then they have no idea what to do with their condition. In this way gambling becomes a curse for gamblers and that’s why portrayed negatively in the world.
Controlling emotions or the impulses that comes with gambling is usually the hardest part of it all and for those who can; it makes it easy for them to face the reality when it comes to gambling while those who cannot are the ones who end up bringing up the negativity that surrounds gambling to them. With this, a lot of people are usually in the last category and that is one reason that makes gambling to be portrayed negative everywhere.

Same is the case in gambling where once you will become addicted then will find it more hard to quit gambling forever.
Then what will be the wrong in portraying gambling as a negative thing everywhere. Addiction causer cannot tolerated at any cost. Gambling should be avoided hence portraying it as a negative one is most welcome action.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: June 20, 2018, 11:19:06 AM
I am not an addicted gambler anymore, actually not even close even if i do gamble once in awhile. So, i can proudly say that i can live with or without gambling and i mean it. Gambling only excites me at first but later on i became careless with my strategy, i mean it happens all the time most especially when we are just playing inside our home and with family members like my bro, relatives and friends.
Only an addicted gambler will actually have a problem with staying away from gambling for a very long time and of course that is the reason we can attribute them to addicts. Gambling should never be something one cannot live without and once that is the case, such a person should start knowing there is a problem immediately.

I do not gamble often, although it was becoming a hobby at some point, but I had to reduce it which even got easier when I hit a very stressful and well-paying job, so the time anyway is usually not there anymore, but maybe once in a blue moon, paying a visit is not usually a bad thing.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: June 19, 2018, 07:34:02 PM
do you experience that after losing on gambling that you thinking you will quit gambling for good and never come again to gambling but then next day you are already positive  that you could win in gambling?

that happen to me a lot when i lose in gambling but a could never leave gambling. Cheesy
This same sentiments of every gambler after losing, because including me whos having this attitude everytime lol..there comes a time that we almost argue with my wife because of this, those time that i promise her not to play again after loss but when theres another extra money, then betting continues 😂😂😂
It is just self-control and the inability to control one no matter what is when the real problem sets in. It is normal for the human nature to want to forge ahead to keep doing something as a result of the urge and gambling comes with a lot of it, so it takes self-discipline and high level of control to be able to stick with what you want and not let your emotions drive you into doing what you would not want to do, which I believe has always been a tough one for most gamblers.
The idea when it comes to gambling is controlling oneself to the core and anyone who feels like quitting after losing and does not, is obviously finding that very hard to do and it is a lot bad with such a person looking for something they can never find which is trying to win at all cost or trying to recover losses.

Gambling is a game of probabilities and luck, and it is better to always have that mindset of huge chances of losing than even winning before starting any game. Most gamblers do realize these after a loss but they do forget it in vert next day too. That is the reason they keep gambling and quitting it has become almost impossible for them.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Features to favor ICO on: June 19, 2018, 06:29:55 PM
The most important thing for any ico is the idea of the project.  Its scale and ability to adapt this idea to our society.  And the second most important thing when choosing is the team.  I recommend to study each member of the team, where he shone earlier, what results he achieved.  We must approach the choice responsibly.  I have lost money in the last 3 months in two ico ... very unpleasant residue remained
Sure way. Like some have said, team and product is a good way to go, but even at that, if there is a product, there is a real need to consider how such a product is actually going to fit into the society to be able to create demand for it in the long run or is it just some product developed by some team just for the sake of having a product and at the end will not have a real life use case.

As long as this is feasible and the team looks like they are ready to keep working and developing on it, that makes it easy.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an Altcoin below ICO price rise again after falling? on: June 19, 2018, 05:42:06 PM
Hello, please I want to know if an altcoin which has fallen below the ICO price can rise again and yield profit.
I have up to 3 coins which has fallen below the ICO price and kinda nervous. Should I SELL or HODL?

it could be if the ICO have a real usage and function in real life, not just only a platform.
for example after the main sale, few months later the platform is working and many peoples use it, the token price will be high because many peoples need it.
That is where the real demand comes to play and not just some pump and dump coins. It is even normal for coins or tokens with no real life usage or product to even still get pumped as I have sure seen that so many times before, but the thing is to understand that it is normal to trust in holding a coin with a product which would fuel in demand for it as that is where the promising aspect comes in. Being below ICO price just like every other market is low right now, does not mean it would not do great in the future.
229  Other / Off-topic / Re: Backup is important on: June 19, 2018, 05:12:45 PM
Good day, just want to share my experience,
I am using 2fa as my security in my emails and exchange accounts, so one day I nearly lost my phone and that phone holds majority of my pins, 2fa, etc. so I thought I lost all, luckily I found the phone. So now I'm thinking of buying an extra phone for backup. What else do you recommend for backup?

It depends on the website honestly. If the website uses google 2fa, then you can easily back that up. There is another application for both iOS and Android (Called Authy) which actually stores all your 2FA based on your account, so even if you lose your phone, you can just log into the website and either get the 2fa codes there, or restore it to another phone, and it works fine.

Personally. All the websites that I use 2fa on also have an option to text the info to me. So worst case scenario, I lose my phone. I can get a new phone, port my number over, and get the 2fa sent there, which i can then use to log in and disable 2fa and then redo it from scratch. Almost any website that uses 2fa as an application (google authenticator or w/e) also has the option to send you the same code over text message. If the website doesn't do that, I consider it a bit of a dangerous game to play.
That was one of the reasons I had to move all my accounts 2FA to authorize as it brings the backup solution most of the time just in case you end up losing any of your device. It is understandable that it would be worrisome in cases like this, but at least with that features on this application, it makes it easy not to have to wonder what would happen to having access to your accounts in cases where you lose your device.

I have never actually seen a way no one won't be able to unless they ended up not being able to remember some security details they used for the backup, which in that case is where problem will start.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: June 19, 2018, 12:12:46 PM
Prices can only be manipulated when a large amount of bitcoin gets into the hands of few people, usually whales. They may control prices by making the prices dip when they suddenly begin to sell a lot of their bitcoin at very comparatively low prices so they can buy more bitcoin. They can also buy a lot of bitcoin suddenly with a relatively higher bid to raise prices.
In every financial related sector is that there would always be such people in the market and they are indirectly called the market makers. As far as I am concerned, it is a way for them to get the best of their investment since they know exactly when to accumulate and when to sell off. However, in the middle of it all, they get to find a way to trick traders based on some pattern and that is where I normally have problem with, but it is what it is, it is an unregulated market and until then, we live with it.
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin "again" ??? on: June 19, 2018, 11:41:51 AM
Is there first if bitcoin Will incur rise? After a few weeks of downtrend, is this a good time to add investment to bitcoin?

It's right on the dip, or still There will be a second, third or even worse dip?

Give your opinion on this.
Thanks
I think it's the right time to buy bitcoins. Because it's steady at $ 6,000 to $ 6,500. Certainly, when the whales buy again the bitcoins are hampered by its price. And sure that we do not control it so far turned out to buy bitcoins while we still afford its price.
There is no doubt about that and while a lot of people are focusing so much on the present condition, some are using it as an opportunity to buy for the future. That is the idea for long term investors and as long as you understand the main value that it creates, it makes such decision easy because in the long term you are still going to end up making huge gains anyway, and looking at where we have been coming from, there is always a chance of retesting it in the nearest future, so why waste the present moment ?
232  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and retirement - how do you see your future? on: June 18, 2018, 03:07:37 PM
Future seems bright Smiley

haha

You can for sure plan your retirement with bitcoin and cryptos... I read an article somewhere long back that a man made 21 millions in btc ; cashed out 20 million for his retirement and kept playing crypto game with 1 million

Could be an effective strategy / goal ?
Yeah, there is no doubt about that but as bright as it seems, it is always still necessary to always take into consideration the possibilities. We may see it to be bright today but anything can still change, I am not trying to be a pessimist but a realist and in a business, being a realist is the only best way to always make good decisions and not be blinded by the current situations. I am bullish long term but at the same time, it is always necessary to be smart with investments or savings.
233  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what is the best exchange in 2018 on: June 17, 2018, 07:17:33 AM
Best exchange in crypto currency world....
Most reputed exchange
Hitbtc
Bancor
Binance
Mercatox
Houbi
Medium reputed exchange
Idex
Idax
Low quality exchange
Forkdelta
Etherdelta
YoBit
Did you just copy all that from a site with no single knowledge of any of these exchanges, or practical usage before, otherwise you would not even be adding exchanges like HitBTC on reputed exchange. Bancor though is more of a native wallet than an exchange with just an inbuilt token swap which is what I would prefer calling it.

I still prefer Binance when it comes to centralized exchange over any other exchanges you have mentioned. Stock.exchange is doing perfect job in crediting our deposits and processing our withdrawals but recently they have raised their bitcoin withdraw fee from 0.001 BTC to 0.002 BTC.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin "again" ??? on: June 14, 2018, 08:41:53 AM
Bitcoin has just dump itself again. lols Just take a look at Bitcoin price chart. RSI and MACD is telling people Bitcoin is oversold, you must buy a huge. but as for me I am buying some altcoins and the half is in BTC.
Yeah, the indicators are already in the oversold zone, and on the 4hr chart, both RSI and MACD showed bullish divergence which confirms reversal, so in a way, we may actually say the trend is rounding up gradually even if we end up going a little bit lower.

Overall, we are in the oversold zone and in cases like that, the market is bound to easily reverse and change trend, but notwithstanding, we can stay in the oversold zone for long and it is important to monitor the support level around $6300. If we are able to manage to buy more at this moment then we can enjoy big profits in very short period of time itself as market is expected to bounce toward $10k levels in coming days.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: June 13, 2018, 04:00:50 PM
Cash is certainly necessary in the whole society, but as you say our money is always devaluating, it is believed that the encrypted currency will soon take over the model, and at least many people know that the money can be kept in the bitcoin.
Well, we cannot say if cryptocurrency will be taking over or not, but one certain thing for sure is that, as things are going economically, the possibility of seeing more attention being paid to digital currency is huge. By the way, the topic and discussion is economically related and not all about cash.

In most developed countries, as well as most business men and institutional investors, the use of cryptocurrency to store up value may actually be the case for a lot of them. The good thing is that the crypto space will obviously grow to that effect.
236  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you need site to sell your goods and services for bitcoins? on: June 13, 2018, 11:36:08 AM
It's a great idea. I want such a site Smiley Type in forums like bitcointalk write to find people interested in CryptoCurrency. if you have a budget, advertise on Youtube, According to the cookies of the users, advertisements are coming out, so you reach the target audience.
It is really a great idea. One way or the other, there is always this mindset people usually have when you have an ecommerce store where they can easily go to place their orders easily without stress. It is also important to note that it would not be easy at first as it would take some getting used to and trying to make sure everything goes in order, but it is a lot of an edge for anyone who is willing to give it a try which most times, being a first starter usually give a lot of advantage.

since bitcoin is not that popular for the ordinary people it is better to sell here we have that section for selling stuffs here
It will not take more time when people will ask you to accept bitcoins for almost all the goods and services. Already people have started asking to accept electronic payments. From that we can assume, in near future why not ask for bitcoins.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis bullshit? on: June 12, 2018, 06:37:31 PM
I am not yet sure if TA actually works with crypto currencies.
I haven't had any success with pure TA so far. However fundamentals and news seems to do better job at predicting the price of a crypto.

Or Am I doing it wrong? I tried a simple RSI strategy to trade and it didn't workout well.

Should I even bother with technical analysis when it comes to cryptos?
TA still works in cryptocurrency but 80% of the time is bullshit and your best bet is to always use your discretion with a very tight stop loss most of the time before making a trading decision.

This was what exactly brought me to the idea of a huge manipulation in the crypto space but I am not surprised since much of that should be expected in a new environment that is completely decentralized in a way, and sometimes, it is more like the whales always love giving the traders wrong signals, and once they hit the market, they gain a lot from stop loss being hit.
238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk in hodling and trading strategy on: June 12, 2018, 03:15:18 PM
I am in favor on your analysis, Hodler is more risky than trader, especially when you hold more of some Shitcoin bought in some ICO project... There is no chance of winning of them.. I prepared to trade all my ICO coins when hitted to market, that will lower the risk.. Trading is more on waiting and patience, plus the factor of a good timing!
Normally, it would be stupid of any holder to be holding shit coins long term and for that kind of strategy, you want to be holding coins that can at least give you something very substantial in the long run and you can be so sure you are not going to end up bag holding.

Everything comes with a risk because as a holder you are not sure of the future as policies can even change a lot of things, but you have a better position as a trader because you are making the best of the opportunity you have but in this case taking even more risk but if good, it is even a better to risk to take for a better profit.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a Crypto day trader? on: June 12, 2018, 02:02:22 PM
I think the first thing to note is the activity of the coin on the market, because it will be decisive for the future, because trading in crypto is high risk.
Trading in crypto is a high risk indeed but that is where knowledge and information comes to play as you cannot do well without those. So many people think they can just be getting lucky from trading, but there is actually more to trading than getting lucky as most of it has to do with making good use of your strategy to increase what you have which most of the time comes with some pretty crazy decisions that one has to make.

Trading becomes interesting only if you know what you are doing, otherwise, anyone without it is in for a very bad ride down the route of losing everything.

I felt that too so what I did is to find another past time that is addictive but not that dangerous. And the one that I found is gaming. Try exposing yourself in online gaming or console gaming and you will surely forgot all the money that you have loss.
Yeah, that helps a lot and it may not necessarily be gaming, and it could be other SANE real life pleasure, could even be business or something that can get you busy and make you lose focus entirely from gambling. An idle mind, they always say is the devil's workshop. As long as you are idle, there are thought about things you should not be doing that will lead you to eventually do those things. The most important thing is to get yourself doing things that gets you occupied and would even give you a better chance at life goodies than gambling.
