when fork guys
Fork? Really?
I have never heard about fork of Stellite.
Could you give me original source of information on Stellite fork, please.
Dude, are you kidding? It's literally 15 posts above yours...

Quick question regarding the xtlrig miner. I tried it, but right now it crashes when you put in "variant xtl", so this option is only for after the fork (or for testnet), correct? Otherwise it runs as smooth as the original one. Wink

dave_bbp boinc manager in linux w/gui?  Grin
Yes of course, that's the beauty of BOINC. You only need ONE GUI machine (Windows or Linux) to control EVERY machine that you have running BOINC (Server, Headless PC, Linux etc.) with that manager. It's simple. Just write down the WAN IP of your "controller PC", connect to your server, sudo-edit
/etc/boinc-client/remote_hosts.cfg
and past your controller's IP in there.

Then you start your BOINC manager on your PC, go into "advanced mode", then File-->select computer and you enter the IP of your server. DONE! Smiley

Hi all. One of the Slovak guys messaged me with an issue he is having that I couldn't help with. Perhaps someone can give mesome ideas to help?

Basically:

1. On a Windows server, same machine as Linux boxes he owns, all his cpu stats are 100% on Rosetta. Or in other words, all of his processing power is BOINC-ing.
2. On Linux server, with WCG exactly the same, all cpu stats are 100%.
3. On Linux server, with Rosetta, some cpu cores are 100%, others are much lower.

He is on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
So for some reason Rosetta on Linux is not downloading enough tasks for his machine?

He tried reinstalling and restarting server but no luck.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

What is the RAM utilization on the Linux server? Rosetta is much more RAM demanding, it may be throttling the number of concurrent tasks because of the RAM limit.

Nice suggestion, I forgot about that.
I checked and there is still 7Gb RAM free.
Is it just a case of wait for Rosetta to send more tasks?

The easiest thing to solve this is by checking this machine with the BOINC manager GUI. There you have all the settings, stats etc. Maybe for some reason it is not set to 100% CPU time and 100% CPU cores utilization. Or there are not enough tasks.

One thing that happened to me from time to time (resulting in exactly the same situation that not all cores are fully utilized) is that one or more Rosetta tasks were stuck. BOINC then keeps them forever in "running" mode although nothing happens. You can easiliy see this (again with the BOINC manager) by sorting the tasks for "elapsed" time. If there is a job that took many hours or even days, just abort it and everything should be fine. Wink

Well, I don't know about all the lower levels of the staking requirement. What I DO know is that as soon as you reach [stakebalance]>18*RAC you get 100% UTXO weight. I'm certain, because I've been on that threshold several times over the past couple of weeks. Cheesy

I got another PoDC payment at 2:05 and now again at 17:41. 15 hour difference. Looks like BBP day was shortened today. Maybe due to PoW difficulty or lack of PoDC payment prior?
Looking at these two PODC blocks, they were 200 blocks apart (as expected), but that is fascinating, its almost as if the system was self correcting its time.

I will need to analyze the difficulty levels in more detail to see if the issue was the low diff coming off the first PODC with CPIDs all of a sudden able to solve (due to having magnitude), IE an inrush of available miners.  But that doesn't explain it because that would have driven DGW up, so this needs more analysis first.

If I observed this correctly, then this issue occured at the time of the superblock yesterday. As soon as the block hit (49405) the blockchain made a leap to roundabout 50-60 blocks in advance. Not sure where these blocks ended up (somehow the block explorers don't really seem to work right now, all showing only blocks from 49614 upwards).

Hi all,

I have a problem with my wallet, it reports wrong balance. When I execute listtransactions command, I can see one "receive" transaction, which shows 0 confirmations. Later on I figured out that this transaction info is also missing blockhash, blockindex and blocktime fields.

There are some transactions after this one, and they are shown properly (with over a hundred confirmations at the moment).
I have viewed my address on online biblepay explorer, and can see the transaction I'm having problems with normaly, same as all the other transactions and with lots of confirmations, and it shows propper balance of this address.
I have tried (multiple times), to delete all the files in .biblepaycore folder except wallet.dat, client resyncs after that but still no luck. Transaction has 0 confirmations and my wallet is showing improper balance, not allowing me to send those coins.

Does somebody have an idea what might be the issue?

This what I did to fix similar wallet issue I discovered today:
1) stop wallet
2) delete all files in .biblepaycore except for wallet.dat  (including hidden .xxx folders and copied biblepay.conf aside)
3) start wallet

After wallet showed non correct amount - I restart and it was showing the correct amount.

So I needed two restarts after cleaning folder.

I second that. Had the exact same phenomenon on a Windows 10 wallet. Wink

ok but the cluster doesn't work i have try it many day and connection refused.

Yes, that's right. The cluster is currently being rebuilt completely. Until then you have to stick with suprnova (and collect the fractional payouts) or try you luck solo mining and see if that works better for you.
I don't know what hashrate you have, but maybe try the pool for 48 hours and remember the amount of ROI you collected and then try solo mining for 48 hours and compare how many blocks you hit.
The lower your hashrate is, the longer you should make the time frame for comparison, because it could very well be that you cannot find a single block in 48 hours. Wink

Sorry, but i know bitcoin since the price is 0.50 cts, i know the system , and for all currency i mine, when i found 1 block, i received many currency, not only %
today someone found a BTC, he received 4 BTC, that true??
if i found 1 ROI, i must be recompense with 120 roi ? that true ?

but i received only the same thing of the other one found a block
I'm not sure if you are trolling or just really bad in expressing anything in English. But the things you write make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Just try solo mining from the wallet. If you find a block there, you get the full 120 ROI reward. Wink

This is a bug introduced in 0.6.1.
ZM doesn't output stats properly if you use the '--dev' option.
It's fixed already in the current development branch.
Ah thank you so much. That explains it, because indeed I used "--dev 1". Awesome work! Smiley

Lichtsucher im miner.... all our money goes to dedicated machines and we supports orphans and this things ....
No, you don't! Miners who spend money to buy machines (to collect more BBP) and not to buy BBP coins don't support a single orphan or charity, simple as that! The charities are (at least nowadays) supported by FIAT money, which means BBP coins are sold monthly and for this we have to find BBP buyers every month. THESE are the people who support the orphans/charities!

P.S.: The truth is harsh, I know, because right now I am one of those "useless" miners too. Wink

hello, dear,
i mine on suprnova pool, and i have found many block, but never received 120 roi for recompense in my wallet?
what the problem?

you can see the block 118858 is found by me, it's confirmed and it's green, but nothing in my wallet?

thanks for answer

I don't think you quite understood how a mining pool (and especially suprnova) works. The whole purpose is for people to share their hashpower in order to find blocks faster and more regularly. In consequence everyone on the pool gets only a fraction of found blocks (i.e. the percentage of hashpower he contributed).
On suprnova especially you have a unique login, which "collects" your shares/payouts. On your profile ("My Account") you then have to specifiy a ROI address (from your wallet) where the pool should pay your coins to. Moreover you can specify a certain threshold for automatic payment from the pool to your wallet. Without this the pool keeps collecting your coins (you can see that on the dashboard under "My Balance" --> confirmed).

If you really find a lot of blocks on the pool, then you probably have a lot of hashpower and could consider solo mining (with your wallet). Wink

Code:

getblockhash 49485

cbb05f1f1ccfbdab2ef2cbccb24c1c3c3d15fe7a3830b8641907d70a2639d248

Purepool & and biblepay-central are on the same chain:

getblockhash 49485
cbb05f1f1ccfbdab2ef2cbccb24c1c3c3d15fe7a3830b8641907d70a2639d248

Just re-indexed all of my sancs and they seem to be consolidating to this one as well.

I'm at 49489 now.

getblockhash 49485
cbb05f1f1ccfbdab2ef2cbccb24c1c3c3d15fe7a3830b8641907d70a2639d248

Well it seems like this is the "main chain" for now. Although it's quite strange, since I'm pretty sure that was the chain which was almost 60 blocks ahead when the superblock "hit".

Unfortunately the main pool is not of much help either, seems like it needs a restart, only showing "current height -1" and spamming different errors all over the leaderboard. Cheesy

I just tried reindexing, but it's useless. Apparently the majority of the hosts is on the wrong (forked) chain. Moreover, the PODC payout seems to have landed on the wrong chain too, so everything is fubar!^^

Rob to the rescue! Grin

Edit: Does anyone know of a host that is on the correct chain? Maybe we could then reindex with this one as an "exclusive node"?
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: May 30, 2018, 09:13:20 AM
It seems like we have several forks going on right now. For example look at the purepool statistics, it says "current height" 49404 (probably the correct one) and "last blocks found" 49456. My miners on the main pool currently show "blocks" 49468...

Let's all just wait until 49405 on the main chain has passed.

Edit: Well, seems like it's not that easy. I just received the PODC payout for today, but right now this is the only balance my wallet shows. I'll try reindexing, because somehow also the freshly started wallet landed on 49475 instead of 49405... :/
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: May 30, 2018, 05:59:05 AM
but wallet on ccex is down... so if it stays offline then all bbp stays there for 3 months...

I would call it that the c-cex owners have cashed out their profits in BBP fees and run away to Bahamas with the BTC in the bag. And the buyers seem to be trapped.
Nah, that 10M dump was Rob himself, who cashed out his BBP and now went on a 3 month vacation with Yuri.  Grin Grin

Just kidding of course, I thought we could use a little humor in here after all the troubles^^. On a serious note: orphaned PODC updates indeed sound scary. In that case it would be best to leave all controller wallets offline or restart them with utxooverride=-1. I personally left mine off the whole night, wouldn't want to see all my BBP (temporarily) gone. We are now 15 blocks away from the next superblock (which obviously will pay the PODC rewards according to the Mag from 2 days ago). Let's see how everything sorts out after that.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 29, 2018, 10:10:11 PM
Tony is waiting for a token to continue with the wcg payouts:

Quote
rewards are not working now because of GDPR https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=api#834  I contacted them and wait for a token
(from slack)

As far as I do understand, every participant has to provide its token to let the particular data access by the API. Probably the bot has to be extended that every campaign participate has to provide the token when it signs up, similar to the payment address.
Just a quick question: any updates regarding the WCG server issue? Seems like your coin is not the only one having that problem with WCG after the GDPR deadline. Strangely enough other BOINC projects don't seem to be that hard on their data request policies.

Great day to be MIP lol
Of the last 151 blocks:

top 5 winners:
CPID: 96892ec0fc8a2710fa84f26c9c84cd3e 48 Blocks
CPID: 6f10570756afd25e02ca7d0ca6bf1a44 18 Blocks
CPID: 684b644e09134455f34639d65bea3851 10 Blocks
CPID: fa5062d1c29baf2e298b674f40ee59b7 5 Blocks
CPID: 4928c2303e4e4ff44eb031b5a95403b3 4 Blocks

24 blocks to "unknown" / no CPID
lol, I'll never understand how this is possible. I remember last month when we had this issue there was one guy on the main pool who received almost every single block (alone) and he himself had no clue why. Cheesy
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: May 29, 2018, 06:06:01 PM
Yes of course - as can everybody else today (like every solo miner too). So where's the difference?

Ok, maybe I simply misunderstood your post Smiley
I don't see any difference between solo and the pools right now. Both pools are finding blocks right now. Slow, but that is to be expected ^^
Last main pool block: 49337
Last Purepool block: 49343
Ah I see, so the pools actually DO find blocks. I was just wondering, because on main pool the "block distribution" shows the last (paid) block as 49198 and I haven't received a payout after that... Wink

Yes I think so too, but all this should imo NOT influence the chance of the pools finding blocks, or am I wrong here? The percentage distribution of hashrate today shouldn't be different from two days ago.

The pools are finding the blocks with the miners -> If the miners do not have a valid CPID, they can't find a block in the first 15 minutes after a block was found -> The pool can't find blocks in this timeframe Smiley

While the error itself seems to be normal, the rate with which it occurs surely isn't (maybe two dozen of these per second...).  Roll Eyes

I honestly wonder who is mining the blocks right now, because somehow the pools (or at least the main pool) don't seem to have gotten a single paid block since 49200..

From my understanding, there is a fall back after 15 minutes where anyone can mine a block. So, I believe this is how it will work until the next daily superblock is in effect. Since we all effectively have no magnitude for one blockchain day, it becomes a race to first acceptable block after 15 minutes of errors in the log.
