Hello Community,

Great news I just got from the cool guys over at www.CoinVault.com

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Hello mastertrader777
Sorry for the late reply I was on holiday  Grin

I would be happy to add MTR to CoinVault I'll be looking in to it this week and trying to add it asap.

Cheers

So what does this mean?

Well I will be able to update the ToshiDesk CMS with a new wallet web wallet/api using MTR blockchain. ( Since CoinWallet.co got hacked and shut down )

Crazywhack should be happy about this one.

Cheers,

MasterTrader777

That's great news! Glad to see a payment portal will be available for MTR.

How does the DAO interest look? I'm interested to see if they are willing to throw something into helping this project move a little smoother.

Thanks for the update, looks like you guys are putting in a lot of time for coding and making it right.

Any update on the MTR use case? I saw that it was not the only payment method.

So who's this VC you keep mentioning?
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: May 27, 2016, 12:01:18 PM
Our health insurance and dental insurance are close to the same as our house note: approximately $1,750.  House note is more than that.  We have more than $4,000 in monthly obligations just with our house note and insurance.  Then we have a few credit card bills, utilities, grocery, gas, car insurance, etc...
Blimey O'Rielly. Feel like a slave to your existence, much!? That health bill is crazy to a Brit/European.

Yes, it a very high health and dental insurance plan.  It's considered a "cadillac" plan.  It's the plan my wife had with her previous oil and gas company.  We chose to continue with it instead of getting into O'Bummer Care.  The deductibles are very low.  The highest we would ever pay for a deductible would be $200.  For example, if my wife got pregnant again and she had to stay in the hospital for at least one night.  That would be a $200 deductible.

I've seen many other peoples plans under O'Bummer Care with deductibles ranging from $2,000 to as much as $7,000 while only paying $280 less than us each month.  Yes, that adds up over 12 months.  However, we still get to see the doctor WE want to see.  Most cannot do that under O'Bummer Care.

My deductible for physical therapy is 2,000... I said I'll live with the back pain for now Wink I'm not on Obama care but the insurance company just informed our company it was dropping coverage in my state. Next year who knows what we will do.

The rest of the coverage is good, except X-rays. They pay 5%...

I hope ETH crash like MTR Grin

It is and will continue to until BTC levels off. Might slow down a bit for the long weekend but I suspect we see some good movement upward in anticipation of halving.

Copying really long reply threads to hide negative posts are we?

Come on, seriously you're disappointing me and I've been a supporter for quite a while now.

Bad Execution of premine dump:
Exactly what you did

Good Execution of premine dump:
- Announce it in the thread, give a week warning
- Treat it like an IPO, generate interest but show it has value
- Give people time to prepare/move funds, tell friends, etc.
- Selling the MTR cheaper than it was going and using it as a platform to promote Toshidesk is a good idea, but not driving the value into the ground, that was simply insulting
- Constantly communicate any changes to plan

I think we can all understand needing funds for Toshidesk launch, but the way you went about it and don't seem to see a problem is not a good sign.

Playing with fake currency in Toshidesk testing is all good, but I have to question whether I can actually entrust any real funds to a platform you control (or recommend it to any others) when you are making such questionable decisions.

Don't forget he's hedging most the premine on an ETH long that he thinks will pay off.

He's basically gambling what he dumped on us without warning...

Thanks for the advise guys.  It slightly getting better (the feeling of loss)

I did build it from less than what I have now, so I know I can do it again. Just more cautiously:)

Or try something like okcoin, bitfinex, kraken, that give you the option to use Leverage your stash 3x-10x

To be honest.  I'm scared as hell of leverage.  I've never used it.  Totally ignorant of it.

EDIT:  I don't like the sound of owing someone money if I mess up.

Lol good plan. I have only tried it a few times. Each time it freaked me out when a small movement happened and I pulled out.

All in all I think my profits stand at .01 from margin trading Wink

Cool.  That kind of eases my concern about my own ignorance with leverage.  I just don't think I can handle the stress.  Dealing with pump and dump schemes is stressful enough by themselves without leverage.  There was all kind of shorting going on during our climb up with LTC last year at its halving.  I was one of those shorting it on the way up.  I remember dumping EVERYTHING several times and getting back in on the dip as we climbed upwards.

When it began dumping hard, it looked like a potential short again at first in the beginning of the dump.  I had approximately 120 BTC when I dumped with it.  Bought back in on the dip and it dumped hard again, then again.  I was getting burned and losing BTC.  That's when I said, "enough... it's over."  Sure enough the climb upwards was over and settled with 110 BTC.

I don't feel I would be as level headed with leverage.  I would probably be too cautious as well and get out too soon or get in too late.

I tell people all the time who play poker, "You cannot play the way you NEED to play in a cash game if you are not COMFORTABLE with the amount you have sat at the table with.  If you are not comfortable with losing $1,000, you have no business buying in for that much cause you will be too protective of your stack and less likely to bluff when you need to in order to take down a pot, etc..."

One cannot play poker the way it should be played if they are fearful of losing what they bought in with.  It's best to be comfortable with what you bought in with before one can be comfortable with playing poker the way it should be played.  I believe the same applies to trading.

Very good analogy, never thought about it that way.

10 btc is quite large amount for trading point of view, i think you haven't setup 2fa in your email address or atleast you should connect your phone to email so that everytime when someone try to login to your email with different browsers you will get code which you have to enter to gain access. Which email provider you have used? And its always suggested never to use same password in all site you register into.

2fa was not turned on...

Email verifications were sent but not in any box.

Was using hotmail.
238  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Email hacked, funds stolen, anyone wanna jump down a rabbit hole? on: May 25, 2016, 07:18:06 PM
I have been there when my blockchain was stolen via my gmail, not a clue about 2fa on gmail back then. I am sorry and I know how it feels, but as you say its was on you, how could you leave 10 Bitcoins sitting on an exchange, thats the main mistake, because if you don't keep such a high amount in an exchange this risk is always present, and last but not least, stop using that Windows sh it load operating system, stories like these are becoming common, my gmail was hacked from a windows PC too. At least as you say you learned your lesson.

Final advice of mine and you will never have any problems anymore( I have none since doing this)
Change your email password and add 2fa via Smartphone if you have one or via sms service if you use Gmail (make sure you do these steps in a Linux environment ,preferably just installed)
Keep your coins in cold wallet, or desktop wallet if you need them for daily transactions.

After this I never had any problem after, its basically almost 2 years since this happened to me in September 2014. I strongly suggest you switch to Linux OS, it has become as user friendly as Windows (Linux mint for example) only a much better security, but you still should be careful with Linux too.

Hope this helps and you implement these steps right away and I wish you success. I would be very sad if I had lose 10 Bitcoins.

Thanks man, your right it's on me.

The Windows is the hacker. I was using an apple device.

Ok here it goes....

Out of my own stupidity of not securing my funds better, I lost approx 10 BTC on bittrex.

Ultimately the hacker gained control of my email and was able to sell/withdrawl all the funds from my bittrex account.

Feel sorry for you mate.Hackers accessing email accounts are increasing nowadays.Thats why i keep on changing my pass for email on daily basis.

I'm asking for the communities help in tracking down the person

I have addresses, txt ID's and IP address from whence the event happened.

Any other info please ask, and yes I know it's a long shot here but hope dies last Wink

Well addresses, txt ids and IP addresses may help a very little as addresses maybe new and for IP addresses hackers can use TOR/VPN leaving no traces. Anyway you can shoot what you have.I will give a look onto it.

Sux man but thanks. I always thought I would be ok, call it laziness or me thinking I was safe. But I learned a hard lesson....

This is the address that all the BTC was sent to...
19gMr1mTG7GQkEXSDx6zpHsgRTV5AmK8WF https://blockchain.info/address/19gMr1mTG7GQkEXSDx6zpHsgRTV5AmK8WF

Funds were sent in 4 different transactions.

The most recent address is either a cloudbet or c-ccex address of mine but I have not investigated there yet as the amount is so low.

Here is the IP... From what I can see is that it is Olympia WA Comcast. The most recent is me trying to log in and discovering my password was compromised.

The hacker liquidated my altcoins and withdrew them as BTC (except) a decent amount of SSD (soniccoin) which he withdrew. My guess is to an alternate bittrex account but possible off site. UNFORTUNATELY The block explorer for this altcoin is down. I am waiting for a response from bittrex if the funds were sent off site or to another account. I am also waiting to hear back from the developer on the block explorer.
