Just a tip for the road up to your next level: Many sMerit awarders also look at post history and kind of frown on very heavily populated bounty posts. While these post are legit (if not spammed all over the place), they kind of are a forest that do not allow the trees (good posts such as your OP) to be seen. Next rank is a bit tougher to reach... I understand this, but at the moment it is one of the main ways of my earning. I do not know how to fix this. I very often make good posts, and apparently because of this they are not noticed. What he was not offered there only, and I do not understand, but what are people ready to really go for merit and is it worth it?
Let's figure out, for what you need Merit:
1. In terms of performing bounty campaigns, namely signature campaigns, Merits, namely, rank, gives a greater number of shares obtained.
By the way, 1 person with a rank Legendart, receives as 7 people with a rank Jr.Member.

2. The ability to establish itself in relation to other people.

Since the creators of the forum started a chip with a Merit, then need to continue it somehow. They can not just do it and leave it, they have to modernize it. And this is one of the options Negative merit is prone to abuse. You either have to allow that abuse to occur or appoint more administrative actions towards it, which increases the already-high workload of moderators. And at that point, you're making it subjective based on the moderator's perspective which has generally not been the case with rules (i.e. ponzis, scams, trust abuse, etc)
Plus, you may get some wonkiness with users ranking up/down sporadically. Undoubtedly, the system is working on improvements, but I repeat once again that the main idea is to take the Merit from people who simply do not deserve it, who got it when they just entered the system or simply by forbidden methods |

Even though i like the idea on how to mark a bad post, i dont like the idea of negative merit. It would be easier if its just a dislike system, without a weight, but people can see all the person who dislikes it. Simple but if someone who is unbiased and smart dislike the post then we know that post is not that good.

How on earth couldn't you find a single merit worthy post in the entire forum while there are hundreds of posts being Merited every day because of their quality?  People say that the Merit system is working fine and the quality of posts have increased by now, and if that is true, then why do I still find people opening threads like this saying they can't find enough constructive posts to reward them with Merits? It really doesn't make any sense to me. Why am I doing this?
I understand that I myself have a small amount of merit, but I hope that people will support this idea.
That might be the actual reason behind such services popping up everyday even by people having almost nothing more than 2 Merits in their pockets. The hope of support from people in shape of Merits is what encourages every other person to start Merit Rewarding services and become too lazy not to surf the forum properly to find some good posts themselves and reward them. You have the right to think of anything, and I can not prevent it. But in fact, if you collect all the posts in 1 topic, then not only will I be able to share the merit with them, but also other people. They will notice that this or that person needs it. By going into this topic they will know that here you can find many interesting topics that they can support. |
