Well, this topic is much better than one. where someone asked to find empty bitcoin blocks from the beginning Thanks for a good guide! My mother tongue is not english, so I have difficulties on expressing myself in english when posting something. Thank you for this post TMAN. You inspire me learn and practice more english to become productive in this forum and not just shitposting.
While I appreciate the kind words, giving me virtual blowjobs wont get you merit. What you need to do is get out of this thread and action what I have suggested elsewhere. Action speaks louder than word, that is what I did. These 7 merits that I got is the result of your advices.

nMerit is not an option, why? because just in sMerit there are many abusers, so abusers will use this nMerit to abuse. Just think of sMerit as an upvote, do it need to have a downvote? I don't think so.
And nMerit is not the opposite of sMerit, because sMerit stands for sendable merit, so if you don't like the post then don't send, so there's no need for nMerit, there is a negative trust, no need for negative merit.

Indeed we might need to take a closer look, because they are swapping there sMerits to rank up, maybe they know each other, or maybe they engage on some sort of deal, maybe some of them owned many accounts and they are just sharing there sMerits to them. This kind of actions need to be minimize because these won't make the forum healthy.

Thank you for mocking my post. I myself also laughed of what I've posted. But just think before you click. Thank you for asking, What I meant is unlimitted sMerit for the merit sources, because they won't give merit for no reasons right?
I would also ask you to think before you post. If you did you probably wouldn't ask if the blockchain looked like a Beehive. I'm not sure an unlimited supply of merit would be a good idea unless it was given only to the top percentage of highly trusted people. An account in the wrong hands could be used maliciously and having an unlimited amount is just ripe for abuse. With that being said, if someone is giving it out appropriately and is constantly running out of it their source should be extended as appropriate. I am just being silly about that beehive thingy. I see that is the reason. For me those merit sources are highly trusted people. I remember I posted it on the off topic section that beehive thing. So, no worries.

And what I intended for unlimitted sMerits is from the merit sources, because all of merit sources is only limited to 17+k merits per month.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3531472Check out the last couple of weeks. 12/13/14/15. If you count all the merit given, the amount of merit given/sent this month was roughly ~18k. nNew was roughly 27.5% for that month alone, so i guess you can conclude for sure that that didn't come from sources ( since i believe most of the sources were assigned at the beginning of the merit system). So, the amount of merit that came from sources that month could at maximum be somewhere between 13-14k. Although i would argue that it's even way less than that since there's still alot of other users that have alot of merits.. Knowing this, i don't think merit sources currently have a shortage of merits to hand out. Rather some kind of surplus. 17-14 = ~+3k Indeed this kind of replies is what I expected from higher, knowledgeable and reputable ranks.

Who would it be unlimited for? Everyone? Then what would be the point? I don't think you've thought this through. Merit shouldn't be given away for nothing and should require some effort to acquire, but more sources will likely need to be added to meet demand. People also still need to put much more effort into their posts as well. People who are making great contributions seem to have no problem in getting the merit but it's those that who are making sub-par contributions that will (and should) struggle. It's hard to get merit nowadays even though you post quality and constructive post. Maybe because of limited sMerits?
Maybe because your posts just suck? We all know that blockchain is a decentralized technology that is used to record transactions and etc. But what does blockchain look like in real life? a spider web? or somewhat bee hive maybe? Lol. It actually resembles a potato. And what I intended for unlimitted sMerits is from the merit sources, because all of merit sources is only limited to 17+k merits per month.
If they're giving it out well their source can and likely will be upgraded. Thank you for mocking my post. I myself also laughed of what I've posted. But just think before you click. Thank you for asking, What I meant is unlimitted sMerit for the merit sources, because they won't give merit for no reasons right?

It is for signature purposes 😅
Well, that's the real problem, you admitted it. People like you posts spams just to earn money which is wrong. Although you're in a campaign or not, you should make your posts more "Quality". Not shitpost How to post a quality post when you discovered crypto just a month ago?

reply on the thread that you join a campaign
Buddy this will result in moderators banning the user or deleting the Topic. It depends on the thread, if it is for bounty then it will be okay, same as when you do a report. You won't post proof of authentication on bitcoin discussion right?

Maybe because of limited sMerits?
I don't think so. May be your efforts are not enough to get merit. Over 34,000 ethereum smart contracts containing $4.4 million in ETH may be vulnerable to exploitation. That’s the conclusion reached by a quintet of researchers hailing from Singapore and the UK. Their technical report, which is currently undergoing peer review, suggests that millions of dollars in ether may be at risk from poorly coded smart contracts that contain a variety of bugs. https://news.bitcoin.com/report-claims-34000-ethereum-smart-contracts-vulnerable-bugs/Smart contracts help you exchange money, property, shares, or anything of value in a transparent, conflict-free way while avoiding the services of a middleman. The best way to describe smart contracts is to compare the technology to a vending machine. Ordinarily, you would go to a lawyer or a notary, pay them, and wait while you get the document. With smart contracts, you simply drop a bitcoin into the vending machine (i.e. ledger), and your escrow, driver’s license, or whatever drops into your account. More so, smart contracts not only define the rules and penalties around an agreement in the same way that a traditional contract does, but also automatically enforce those obligations. https://blockgeeks.com/guides/smart-contracts/Just for example. We can do better than this, can we? It is for signature purposes 😅

Proof of authentication is posting authentication message using your account and you copy that link to paste it on google form. Like bounty manager sylon required to you to post on his thread if you join his bounty. If you join bounty campaigns then reply on the thread that you join a campaign and if you not join the don't post proof of aunthentication. Simply as that.

sMerit is undoubtedly making this forum healthy, imagine more users now post something helpful and constructive just to get sMerits.
|
|
|
Aside from being redundant one of the reason is it is not constructive, specially if the topic is a question, because I once posted a topic that I asked a question about their experience and it got deleted because it is redundant, and not constructive and quality one. make sure if you post something , someone might get benefit from your post.
