21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do to keep your digital assets safe? on: January 24, 2019, 10:29:52 PM
dont you ever click on things that you arent sure or no knowledge about that particular link, it might be a phising sites or a virus. Always bookmark those sites that you ee using so that it will prevent you from being hacked by someone or a theft. Also dont you ever give out you private key to someone, just keep in you.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Advice for Bounty participants on: January 24, 2019, 12:00:45 PM
I understand everything has not bloomed and bloomed well
But let’s endeavor to be at an alert because in crypto currency

When you are tired weak and feeble, that is when good and valuable projects pass you by
But when you are excited to work, you get only peanuts project

So work now that you are weak
Persevere and don’t burn your opportunity because of short term  comfort

because ico nowadays seems not so legit, you can only count those who really bloom or atleast make it to the coinmarketcap, others were just scam or no value at all or if its hit the market, the value are so small that you cannot make a profit from the coins you have earned from them.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ethereum is the best crypto next to bitcoin. on: January 24, 2019, 11:37:05 AM
I started to like crypto and being an enthusiast with it lately. I had read many articles around in the internet and found some good attributes regarding on the  different kinds of crypto in the crypto market. And i found out that ethereum is a platform which also supports mostly of the altcoins being introduce by  its mean using ICO. Conducting a project from the crowds budget and in return from the contributions are the giving of tokens instead. And afterwards the tokens will be used in an exchange they prefer to partner with. That is why i am taking credit to ether as best crypto next to bitcoin because of the platforms being used by most of the crypto as well. What do you think? isn't it ether is the best crypto?

not anymore right now my friend, ethereum has been dipped down below since last year and its like its recovery will take a lot of time too, ripple has taken its place as next to the bitcoin and this is very threatening to the ethereum because once ripple go high, ethereum might go low in the ranking of coinmarketcap.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 24, 2019, 11:33:28 AM
When it comes to picking your altcoins, do you take into consideration coin supply?  And if so, do you prefer high or low supply coins?

these two category has certainly both advantages and disadvantages but let me get straight to the point, the more supplies, the more it will circulate, it means, price will be very much volatile, on the other hand, the less supply, the demand will be high and the price will also increase, but still i wanna choose high supply.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam. on: January 24, 2019, 11:27:26 AM
Apparently, ICO investors continue to fall prey to innumerable ICO scam. The effect of this is very devastating on investors perception of crypto-project ICOs.
While it appears there is no apparent solution to address the current scam associated with ICO in the crypto space. I propose that we help each other in finding out the best ways to identify and separate genuine ICO from fake ones....
Share your view and help a friend from falling prey to ICO scam. Let help build a healthy crypto environment. Fight the scam now.

simply do some thorough research about the that certain initial coin offering or ico, who the one manage its bounty campaign, the team involved in that particular ico, theyre project proposal. The more you dig, the more you will not buried. Be wise enough to investigate every ico that you are going to be part of.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exchange fees that no one talks about on: January 24, 2019, 11:24:20 AM
how is it that every one is complaining about bitcoin high fees etc. but they arent talking about the ridiculous exchange withdrawal fees? these fees cost 10$ usd. that is sky high fees. this is tradesatoshi site. other site were charging alot too. u want to send and receive but these exchanges are making more money that the miners. where are you guys going to send and withdrawing your coins? these exchanges charging a dime for the withdrawal fees is not going to drive up adoption. i rather transact with a visa card. imagine buying some kfc and ur sending bitcoins through but get charge 10$ extra because exchange fees. thats bs.

somehow im gonna agree with this post, very true. A lot exchanges out there in the loose charging a massive fees for every transactions that you are about to make, it really sucks for some crypto people who were just starting their way to the crypto world, it might make them quit crypto and never to return again. Sad reality though.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have to invest in bitcoin or ethereum. on: January 24, 2019, 10:36:16 AM
I see that BTC and ETH are two coins that have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap.
But I don't know why Bitcoin is still up and ETH always maintains current prices.
Why did that happen? And now, I have to invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum?
thank you

if you would ask me about that situation or question, i must answer you that i wanna buy and invest with ethereum, ethereum has been there already and a greater chance to be at the most of it like it was before, the price of ethereum right now has been decreased 5x more since 2018, nice time to buy at its lowest rate.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chance that XRP can defeat BTC? on: January 24, 2019, 10:33:12 AM
Based on https://coinmarketcap.com/. XRP defeated ETH again. Is there any chance that XRP can defeat BTC too in the future?

absolute zero chance at all, how would ripple takes on the number one spot when every crypto people were in the sides of bitcoin and if bitcoin will be dethrone, theres a possibility that crypto will also fall back on its knees and im gonna hate to see and experience it.
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is trump the problem or is the media just hating on him on: January 24, 2019, 10:29:43 AM

I might not be a citizen of the United States but I'm a 100% trump fan. Although I still prefer trump the businessman more than the politician. I just saw this tweet above and it got me laughing and thinking at the same time. Is trump the problem or are the US government/media confused I ask this question based on the fact that,  if it was a more likable president that suggested the building of the wall he/she would had been supported massively but because it's trump everyone now against it.
Just saying...

media will always reverse every issues for as long as they can make it viral or atleast people will buy onto it. Donald Trump is a good president, he is like Rodrigo Duterte of the philippines, they are both frank on and off the camera and that makes them my favorite.
30  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can I quit smoking? on: January 24, 2019, 10:26:36 AM
I started practicing cigarettes since I was 9 years old. Regular smoking starts from the age of 12. Now I am 26 years old, I'm trying hard to give up smoking, but can not do  not? Can someone give me some good advice to quit smoking?

I am a smoker too back then, a heavy smoker as they say but gladly i was able to stop it due to the fact that somehow i have this in my mind for a long time that i believed i will stop smoking and it happens its like, its just a mind over matter thing. Just live a healthy life, do jogging every morning, it will help.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the obstacle of Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2019, 10:23:40 AM
the price of bitcoin has been changing dramatically, and many people have invested in bitcoin. And they get a generous return. these stories attract more people to join Bitcoin. in my opinion, this is precisely an obstacle. It is an obstacle for Bitcoin to be used on a large scale. It requires a stable value for a currency that is used on a large scale.

the very obstacle of the bitcoin is the fact that most in the government and banks hate bitcoin for a reason that bitcoin avoids graft and corruption among people in a certain area. Theyre trying to get rid of the bitcoin so that they will still continue to control the flow of the people and its need.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is The Most Ridiculous Invention Ever Made on: January 24, 2019, 08:29:27 AM
https://youtu.be/pSbSKGDypPY

The above video shows that by buying Bitcoin one is selling ownership of something and buying ownership of nothing. This is because Bitcoin is just a fancy name for changed digits, and the fact is that something cannot appear or disappear by changing digits. Since Bitcoin is the first time in human history that people voluntarily and massively give up something to become the owners of absolutely and literally nothing, this makes Bitcoin the most ridiculous invention ever made.

or ridiculously amazing because banks right now were threaten by the invention of the bitcoin, with this, transfer of money from any place has become so easy and cheap, unemployed people were getting and earning a right amount of money that involves blockchain technology.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why So Bloody Hard to Buy Crypto? on: January 24, 2019, 08:25:13 AM
Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are becoming more accepted these days.

Why then, is it so bloody hard for the average person to learn where to buy it?  Is it because it's considered "dirty money?"

Your opinion?

like what? youre giving a wrong information to everybody here mate, buying crypto is just as easy as shopping online, i guess what you are trying to reach out to us is the difficulty of some crypto exchange, of course, if youre a beginner, youre gonna take time to learn but after that, all will follows smoothly.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela - communists are falling, so might btc on: January 24, 2019, 06:25:19 AM
Due to rampant inflation/corruption in Venezuela, quite a substantial percentage of the population had chucked their investments into btc.

Looks like the political problem might be resolved shortly, if it does btc will fall if currency controls are relaxed and the population feel more comfortable.

Expect a 15/20% fall as a result.

is there really a connection between venezuela, being a communists type of government and the bitcoin or rather the crypto world, i dont see any connection between these three so it means it wont affect the price of bitcoin in the crypto market. And i dont think venezuelan had a greater impact in crypto world as of these days.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did Bitcoin REALLY Hit The Bottom? Are We There Yet? on: January 24, 2019, 06:20:43 AM
I know a lot of users thought 6K was the bottom for BTC...then it plunged another 50% down to $3200. Right now BTC is looking pretty strong, it had a HUGE spike from the support level. This COULD mean a reversal is imminent  Grin Right now, I've been trying to accumulate as much NTS and BTC as possible. Every time BTC or NTS dumps a little bit on Nauticus, I've been picking some up. I think this bear market could be coming to an end and if it does we might see the next bull market start. Now, this could be a bull trap, but right now a lot of traders are optimistic and appear to exiting short positions and going long, so we will see.

Look At This Bullish Chart Action! - https://nauticus.exchange/exchange/NTSBTC

the good news is that, bitcoin is still in the middle of its prime and we didnt even at the bottom at it. We can  say bitcoin is still hanging on to its dear life because once bitcoin reach its bottom, every altcoin in the market will be dragged by it to and nobody wants it of course.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest or wait ? on: January 24, 2019, 06:16:41 AM
Hi.

I have been part of this community for a while now. And i never got the chance to make any investments as i was short on money. But recently i got a little money and i wanted to invest but looking at the market as it is going down and down again, i have decided to learn from you guys and take into account the advice of you people.

What should i do.

Invest in right now,
Should wait,
or Should i just put my money in some other industry like Real estate ?

Need your opinion guys. What would you had done in a similar situation at this point of time ?

its time to invest in this hard times though everything seems hopeless and very much discouragement, investing is still the right thing to do for now, invest then wait for it to rise again and if that comes, comeback is real and it will gonna be a lambo.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: January 24, 2019, 06:14:26 AM
Hello guys,

here i want to start a discussion about the possibility of getting rich with cryptos. if you start off with an amount of lets say max. 1k i dont think so. If we say you are able to invest like 10-100k you can still earn alot of money but in this case you are already very wealthy. Here is no enough space below this post to either say "Hey man you got it right" or just prove me wrong. leeeeeeeeeeeeets go  Wink

i believed it also but the chances of it right in this recovery year would be 15℅, only the elite and expert can have a chance and we noob will have the slightest chance of it nevertheless, just be patient, green days is just not far away from us
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALL in CALL in Cardano JAN 2019? on: January 24, 2019, 06:11:29 AM
I've been waiting for almost a year for this coin to correct and when it hit $.028 in December, I thought about buying a huge chunk of it. Lo and behold, it climbed almost up to $.05. I just can't wait anymore and I just want to go all in at the current of price of $.042. I know this coin has a huge potential in the future, I just want to know what the community thinks about my opinion to go all in???

I will post my purchase and post it via Youtube for y'all to see.

I am trying to be calm like the water like this...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYfIJ9DXMZc&t=54s

cardano is also a good choice to invest in,it has a wider range of potentials and will have  a chance to increase in value and price but still whales will have a part in it but if they wont participate in it, cardano will stay as it is, in its ranking in top 20.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ? on: January 24, 2019, 01:55:41 AM
WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?

ethereum cant even surpass ripple as of now yet its dreaming yo overthrow bitcoin, thats just insane and ridiculous however once whales starts to boost ethereum again but it still wont claim that number one spot because bitcoin is always been the master of every altcoin in the world of crypto.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: January 24, 2019, 01:53:19 AM
I would like to hear people's opinion on XRP/Ripple.  News, Trends, Concepts, Technical Issues... anything pro or con that might be indicative of it's survival or growth opportunities in actual real world use cases.   Or things that indicate it's failure.

Here is my two cents to start it off, starting with a Disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I have weighted portfolio of Bitcoin (5 - 10%), Ethereum (70 - 80%), XRP/Ripple (10 - 25%). I'm a HODLer, not a Day Trader,a nd reportionments are done rarely based on trends.  My purpose of this post is to try and determine whether a repportionment of Ripple is appropriate.  And I am currently of an equal mind.  33% to lower stake.  33% says stay hte course.  33% says increase shares.  So real certainty here I tell ya!  LOL    Hoping someone will say something here to un-jam my mental logs.

My current facts as "I" see them....

CURRENT PRICE:  Ripple is doing absolutely nothing.  No real motion in any direction except sideways.  Only recent facto that may be contributor is the court case that allowed prior founder (McCaleb) to unload his billions of XRP at a current rate of "0.5% of average daily volume for each day of the week, including weekends and holidays".  So hardly anything of much substance, however, the fact that the price hasn't gone down means that there are at least enough buyers to keep the price even.

NEWS: I keep a very steady eye on Ripple, constantly trolling news, webs, boards for info.  Again - nothing.  Almost a total black hole of current news.  The only recent "news" are name dropping tidbits about SBI Holdings in Asia wanting to use Ripple.  Microsoft Azure being open to Ripple blockchains.  R3CEV hinting at Hyperledger open to Ripple use cases.  Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) running a Ripple Blockchain Trial.  Press Releases about 42% savings to banks using Ripple.   And vague references to Interledger, which is sort of analogous to Hyperledger or Lightening network in a way..... talk, no real world scenarios yet though.  And all of this very hypy-vague.   Just little tidbit trickles of "News", "non-News" actually, that basically says, "Hey, we're alive."

GENERAL THOUGHTS:  I think Ripple/XRP IS still alive, and due to the nature of its business model, is in "secret development" mode.  I mean, you won't see news, until you see news, but whe that news does come - it may be a hard break.  My opinion is that will most likely be up (obviously - I DO own it), but I guess it could be down, or it might even be just a really really slow up if the news is not dramatic enough that other coins (Bitcoin/Ethereum etc) aren't also releasing big news, and thereby suck up all the investment money that might go into Ripple/XRP - thereby blunting the reaction.  However, it could go the other way,a nd we could get good news out of Ripple / bad out of Ethereum/Bitcoin, and the pressure could be exacerbated up.   Also- the whole "premined" aspect doesn't bother me that much.  With all my crypto investments I am looking primarily at actual eventual use case scenarios to determine value.  The 2nd tier money coins (Lite, Dash, Monero etc) are of no interest, and even the Utility coins (Emercoin, Maidsafe, etc) seem a bit too spiky/dodgy and subject to market manipulation/risk to me.

Ripple is obviously a top tier player, but a little lacking in discussion at present.  Thought I'd fire up a topic.

Peace,
- david

for the most part of 2018, every altcoins were in the verge of massive falldown yet ripple climb up its way to the top and secure that number two spot in coinmarketcap. Ripple has the potential to be one step behind bitcoin, ripple cannot overtake bitcoin but it will be behind it for a long run as long as ethereum wont recover.
