You could also do the following for fiat: USDpax --> KMD --> LP --> BTC --> fiat I am working on a special project that may give a more direct access to fiat with fiatpax. I guess USDpax is a kind of token/asset? I think the point is: how to make the swap USD --> USDpax in a secure and decentralized fashion. Maybe the komodo notary nodes will be used to secure a kind of gateway for fiat deposit? Each currency is its own chain. That is the power of Komodo. As to how they are created, i need to study that more. |

Let me guess monero bashing BTCD again ? Well nothing new they bash all other coins and even say it will replace Bitcoin... look they dropped from 20$ to 3$. 2500 BTC for the 2 years James has been working on the tech and him writting by himself for the most part, is nothing when a copy past coin can get much more.

2235 BTC (collected so far in ICO) + 6800 BTC (from BTCD swap) = 9035 BTC marketcap And there's still about a month more to go, bad thing is that it might not leave much room to grow in terms of price per coin/market cap when coin launches. I think it is no point in investing in this ICO. it is already close to bloated or will be bloated by the end of ICO. Not a single ICO has fared well recently. All those ICO that sold out in first 10 minutes are trading below ICO at the moment. If you believe in the project it is in investors best interest to buy in after the coin is launched at exchange. Of course some posters will tell you otherwise and make you feel like you are missing out if you don't invest in ICO but the reality is that most of them are just the insiders (or paid by dev to create hype). Seriously? We have reached 7.5% of the max cap and there are still complaints? If a index fund can raise 10M, you dont think the next generation of crypto is not worth more than 2k BTC? |

I am researching providers, but they need to be English speaking. And obviously must still allow a profit. I found some, but much to expensive.
In Asia specs can be 32gb ram 500gb ssd 8 threads or 4 if really needed. Please let me know the location before you proceed as you need approval for the smaller spec. Sh i have nodes for 300usd if anyone needs one. |

I came across this post in the Byteball thread: Regarding ICO wallets, I reached out to James (jl777) who is currently running Komodo ICO. He replied that keeping the received bytes for himself he considers unethical, and he will use the bytes as additional funding for Komodo.
I'm quite happy with this decision and hope other ICO founders will also use their funds responsibly.
I was wondering if the byteballs would add up to one's BTC investment, meaning if an investor invests n BTC, and the n BTC get q BB, then the investor would be considered as having invested n+p BTC where p is the BTC equivalent of the q BB. That would just complicate things. Should be used as free capital to further komodo. |

EDIT: To make it clear, the revenue flows BTCD was promised are not going to migrate into Komodo.

The revenue share that was supposed to be given to BTCD holders will be migrated to a asset chain on the Komodo platform. There will be a snapshot taken at about 2 weeks after the ICO to tie the asset chain to the private key of that wallet. Then once the swap is done, you will use the private key of that BTCD wallet to claim the assets. |

Launch an ICO for a new coin that has any remotely connection with revenue or any technological evolution and get rich. For example a coin for fast international transactions, a coin that has faster transactions than bitcoin, a coin for further anonymization of transactions, a coin for e-sports competition for ordinary people, casino games, betting, an investment fund for altcoins, a coin that uses revenue for supporting buys at exchanges, a coin for paying people publishing articles at an information site.
You have misunderstood something too. The projects listed on that picture are not coins, they are 'assets'. Assets don't have their own blockchain. The only coin is BTCD, and in the future it will be Komodo. Futhermore, not all assets listed on that chart are related to SuperNET or Komodo. I meant that in general ICOs are a way to get extremely overpaid for the coin management. That will be news to James. He has been working 16 hours a day for over 2 years without getting paid. |

Is Komodo developing something novel like ethereum? Why does it need 30K BTC or 18 million USD just to patch up ZCASH protocol on bitcoin blockchain using notary nodes?

Where does it say KMD needs to get 30k BTC? That is the maximum to protect investors just in case a huge whale decides to invest. It has already been stated what has been raised up to the point is enough to proceed with Komodo. I would suggest for you to actually do some reading and not make ignorant comments.
