221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: October 23, 2016, 11:28:21 PM
Is it better to hold on to SLK or send it to SLK ICO?

That's a call only you can make based on your investment goals.  I think both are good investments.  But you need to hurry, clock says 33 minutes

I sent a test deposit to the SLK (ICO) address 30 minutes ago, but its not showing up.  Is this normal?

Yes.  I believe they are still handling the transactions manually.  Check the Silk explorer and if it shows up there as confirmed you should be good.  They have their work cut out for them as far as posting everything.  I think it's going to be some long hours for them for the next few days, but they are persistent and enjoy working on fumes Smiley

The link to the Silk explorer is everywhere but just in case ... it's ...
https://slkexplorer.silknetwork.org/

Good luck

Ok, and just to confirm,  I should send the SLK to the SLK (ICO) address in the weaver account I created correct?

Yes, the address they created for you labeled Silk (ICO)

The one labeled Silk is not the ICO

Ok- I just sent them over from Bittrex and they are showing up in the blockchain explorer.   So, I should be good?

Yes.... I wonder which block contains your transaction ...  50006 and 50009  It if was 50006 ... it makes me feel really small Smiley

I'm not sure how to reference the block 50006 lol?

224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: October 23, 2016, 10:35:27 PM
It seems this is the end, sell all my Lisk and go out, ICO profit remained.. Good luck to all believers  Wink

I bought into the ICO too and sold.  It really hasn't much to do with LSK itself but more so with the established downward trend which prevents any new investors coming into Lisk and why current investors are cashing out.  On top of that, there is also much competition from other coins (Waves, Synerio, Stratis) that are going up that investors are buying into.  I think the only people buying now are the ones that sold at higher prices months ago and getting back in for the long term.

Only reason to hold at this point if you are willing going long (Q1 Q2 2017), but there's equally a good chance the coin will not rebound.

What are you talking about, they raised 14K BTC, and you think there's equally a good chance the coin will not rebound  Grin  Grin  Cheesy  Cheesy

Good luck with "other coins"

I honestly hope it does.  But this is Crypto world and anything is possible.  I've seen many coins that held a lot of promise and did not recover from their highs.  Right now, there is a clear and established downhill trend spanning months which guarantees that it will continue going downhill at least in the short term.

The ICO finishes in 3.5 hours, ignore the 0:00 timer on the site.

The ICO totals invested over the 4 week period so far are 76.46821188BTC and 4,881,852.68914499SLK.

The DSLK payouts will be carried out over the 5/6/7th of November, in no particular order.

We are excited to release DarkSilk on the 5th of November and to also announce all the rebranding/project information.

If I went to send SLK to the ICO, I just want to confirm that I send to it to the SLK (ICO) wallet in weaver, correct?

Lisk down and up,down and up to 0.02 BTC.

Unfortunately, its a clear downhill trend over the past several months and people have to make the decision to either stick with it in the hopes of it going back up in the long term or risk it going downhill further which is going to happen in the short term and it may not recover.  I set a threshold for selling and unfortunately, it went down to that point.   I wish everyone good luck with Lisk.

IMPORTANT NEWS - 15th Oct 2016

After the work completed on Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver over the course of the last two years, it has become apparent that no matter the quality of our codebase, technology or team, the bad connotations tied to the name Silk and the image of the Camel are hugely detrimental and are simply holding any progression from happening in the business world or with other projects.

Many businesses and investors have shown a real interest in the vision and aims of the team and the possibilities we have presented them with the two independent blockchains and platform, however, when the word Silk is mentioned the deal is off and they no longer wish to invest or show further interest due to the fear of having their reputation or company associated with the name.

To advance this project and complete business deals, partnerships and attain contracts to provide blockchain solutions, it is required there is a rebrand to match the professional and focused direction the team wishes to take this project.

We as a team believe the community would want to see this two-coin system succeed and have invested into this project not just for the name it holds, but the team behind the project itself.

The original technology promised will remain with just one change to the decentralised marketplace, it is not being removed but being adapted to function within the focused direction we are heading, Stormnodes will be available and the ICO will also payout as promised.

Nice- Are you taking name suggestions?

Looks like lisk is going down. It's time to buy. More than 10% dump.

Agreed- I just bought more.  Buy volume is also increasing.

On Polo, the sell orders seem to be all small quantities, but the buy orders are all large orders.  It may just mean the whales are waiting to buy large quantities  at low points and then pump.

I'm receiving an error upon attempting to send from the web wallet:

"Expected type string found type null"

Advice?

Bump!

I've followed several projects on here. Anytime I've had an issue with a wallet, etc., and posted about it in the announcement thread I've always received a quick, helpful response from the community.

This is the first time that that wasn't the case. Instead all I see is a bunch of bickering about the price.

This is a known issue I've also raised with them and they are working to fix it.  Instead, use the Nanoclient and make sure the time on your PC is an auto sync.

Lisk is making a rebound-back at 30K.   You have to stick to the facts, solid team that's making constant progress.   It takes years before a good project takes off.

Just keep in mind that other end of the selling, there are people buying.   The people that are selling are doing it out of fear and people that are buying are doing based on strategy.

I'm trying to send out Lisk, but I keep getting an error of "Expected type string but found type null".   If I try to send out from the Lisk Nano client, I get "Invalid transaction timestamp" error.   Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this?

Just figured this one out if anyone has a similar issue.  Data and Time must be set on automatic sync on the computer.

Sorry for the noob question, but what's the difference between SLK and DSLK?  Also, if you have SLK now, how much will they be worth in DSLK?
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: October 12, 2016, 01:11:19 AM
I personally invested into the ICO and have not sold any of my LSK since then.  This is not a coin that's going to skyrocket immediately.  Look at how long Etheruim took.  I remember so many people calling it a scam in the first couple of months after the continuous delays in getting it take off.  Things take time and its probably for the best.  Don't we want to have something developed correctly rather than rushed and full of bugs.  The guys behind this project are continuously making improvements and releasing updates.  Compared to many other coins out there, this is a solid coin which has huge potential.  We just have to give it time to mature and get its name out there.   If people are selling, its because of emotions or they're looking to invest in other coins.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but can anyone recommend an etherium wallet which I can withdraw my Iconomi tokens too?

Thanks!
