I'm thinking about running a Twitter Retweet Promotion. Imho it's more like a faucet (it'll be controlled by a bot and automatically payed out) then a giveaway. Are we free to discuss the implementation in the ANN post - and promote it? Looking at the OP that should be okay, right? Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Hey guys We have just finished developing free fully customizable and installation-friendly price and calculator widgets. You can display and convert FAC against any crypto / fiat on your webste Check it out https://www.cryptonator.com/widgetVery, very nice :-) One thing though; can you add a rounding option? Now it shows that one FAC is 0.0000063846 BTC. I'm used to reading from right to left (1 FAC = x Satoshi) and that 63846 plays tricks with my mind ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

is the price good enough for buying right now? i think the price isn't cheap enough.
Take the following numbers into account: - There are about 50.000.000 coins - The current value is about 0.00000615 BTC - I personally (my opinion!) assume that any well established coin can reach 1% Relative BTC Target Value (based on DOGE, PTS, LTC). - For FairCoin that would be (21.000.000 (max BTC)/50.000.000 (max FAC))/100 = 0.00420000 BTC/FAC - Relative price at 1% Relative BTC = (0.00000615/0.00420000) * 100 = 0.15% of possible value - Do the same calculation for DOGE, MINT, LTC, PTS, BC and ZEIT Decide for yourself if the price is good enough for buying right now. Disclaimer: I'm just doing the numbers here. And remember; results for the past are no guarantee for the future

So what's the status on the new website? When will it be ready?
What new sites online? Look forward to FAC.
Different parts of the domain and website have been configured this morning, last night and yesterday. Still some work to do. Once everything is set up correctly and the main site is up & running, we'll do an announcement here.

BTW, since titles are up for grabs, I have appointed myself "Community Entertainer".
I can only imagine that would look good on your resume ;-) "FairCoin Community Entertainer"

I'm in touch by email with a guy from italian fairtrade office (I'm from Italy) and we are discussing about that. Since he knows nothing about cryptos, he's asking for a list of merchants' sites all around the world accepting faircoin and generally cryptos to better figure out how big our community is. Do you know where can I find a list like that?
We'll be working on that list ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) In the meantime I'm working on a way to streamline initiatives like these. Right now they are only snippets located on TitanPad, but eventually I would like to dedicate forum posts to this when we have a place of our own :-) I've marked this as the FairTrade Initiative. So me and Thokon00 (still have to ask him, but he wanted to contribute on this initiative, so it'll be okay lol) will coach you where ever we can. I think that first we need to establish what we want to do for World Fair Trade. (Did you know it's World Fair Trade Day today BTW? So Happy World Fair Trade Day ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ). When I look at the site: http://www.wfto.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=167&Itemid=1- Get in touch with Fair Trade Organizations in your area - Buy Fair Trade Products when you can - Celebrate World Fair Trade Day - Look out for Fair Trade campaigns you can join - Get involved in Fair Trade Towns - Make a donation to WFTO We need to cherry pick the best options. Having the option to pay only for fairtrade products with FairCoin sounds like a great idea, but might still be a bit out of our league yet. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It's certainly something where we can work towards though... What are your thoughts on this? What goal is achievable? I certainly have some ideas ;-) edit: one more note; I'm not sure what the structure of Fair Trade actually is. There are so many fair trade sites. Something we need to find out as well. edit2: right now you have more coaches then team members ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Who wants to contribute some of his(or her) time to think this through?

:'(Hope that the new team can bring FAC to a higher level. I have been waiting for so long, do not make us disappointed again and again. I really love this coin.
We'll do what we can, but it'll depend greatly on the community. To manage expectations; don't expect miracles over night. Steady development and supporting community driven initiatives takes time. whats the current wallet client version, any updates?
The same as always, v0.9.0.1. A new version of the wallet will be released in the near future. A link to the wallet can be found in the openingpost. As you can validate, it's at this moment the same as the link in the old ann post. Any reason in particular why you asked? Why the old thread locked?
The explanation to why the old thread is locked can be found in the last posts of the old thread and in the openingpost of this thread.

what you think guys? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi62.tinypic.com%2F1079g7n.jpg&t=663&c=sgjPhedyml5Lwg) Superb! The second one really omits power. Afaik there was one other design that has to be taken into perspective from the old thread. This one, by foxy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487212.msg6601734#msg6601734![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FYoiHj3j.png%26t%3D540%26c%3DiiYDA4htzR57_w&t=663&c=6aZhXumFkEagqA) @Foxy; are you still around to promote your logo? The PPC was the first POS in world history to issue coins ========================================= the first pure pos.... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ============== This is a POW/POS ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) You're right about this and there should be something else on it :-) But what? "In FairCoin we trust"? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I think we need to establish a new official website Public development members personal photos, increase the community's trust, learn the good experience of other products
This is on our backlog and has high priority. Once we've established the basics we'll get started with this :-) We are still in posession of FaircoinTalk.com domain and would like to set up a forum there since FAC is reborn.
Still need to see if there is enough interest for dedicated forum.
Thanks for the reminder. I've added a note to the backlog so that we can discuss what the perfect moment would be to bring FaircoinTalk.com back. We'll be in contact!

We have a FairCoin multipool plan?
Of course we have :-) You can safely mine your FAC as HashCows. There are no plans at the moment to built one of our own. It would take too much time and energy to compete with HashCows. Guide: - Create an account at HashCows - Goto Coin Settings - Modify Coin Settings - Put in your FAC Address - Modify Payout Currency - Set to FAC - Check your workers and setup your mining config - And start mining!

I like this idea very much. However, I think it will be a while before we can actually make a proposal. The most important thing now is that we stabilize this coin and it's environment. That doesn't mean that this idea cannot already be initiated. There's is nothing withholding you from setting up a thematic FairTrade Affiliation Team which can work out the details how, why and when FairCoin could work together with FairTrade. So HackaB321, would you like to rally up a team for this initiative and pull this off? Communities in need of some fresh things
who knows?
FAC need the power of COMMUNITY!
Maybe you guys want to contribute to this as well? you look very enthusiastic ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Regards, - Drakandar

Fellow Fairconians, As you may know, after FairCoin has been left adrift and the original Dev abandoned ship, we've taken the liberty to take over the helm. Together with you we want to set sail on a new journey. To do so, we'll leave behind what has to be left behind; all the negativity and vagueness from this Thread. We've started a new thread, with a new ANN Post and information that will actually make sense. This thread will be closed shortly. Do you want to find out who we are and what plans we have for FairCoin, do visit the new thread at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=601280Kind regards, The FairCoin Development Team

I am very sad. my faircoin was stolen by NXT-E.
Please don't use NXT-E as an exchange. As previously noted the relation between FairCoin and NXT-E is disturbed. We don't know who to blame. I've added a Story to the backlog to ask NXT-E if they can remove FAC from the exchange until further notice. If anyone wants to pick it up, let me know and I'll assign the task to you.

Hi,
We're forming the new development team and write a road map for the upcoming months ahead.
Any assistance/contribution is welcomed, please contact: support [at] fair-coin [dot] org / or private messages (as mentioned in older posts of Gladimor / smartaction / etc).
Regards, Dee.
Dee, can you put me in the loop? I've also put up a first version of the backlog. This can be found at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13ZycWGX8-ArxoWLYPW4rjuNcCPqzuXSX2INGhYOXTdc/edit?pli=1#gid=1791852011If anyone has any contributions to it (you're all stakeholders, literally ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ) please PM me.

Hallo Adam,
could you please clarify how you're exactly related to Cinni, so we can quickly proceed in a transparent and trustworthy way.
Nevertheless we should establish a communication platform where the core members and actually everybody who wishes to contribute to FairCoin can orgnaize them selves. Do you have experience in that field? Do you have any idea what free tool could be used? Appending more and more to this obsolete thread doesn’t seem an efficient way to move FairCoin forward.
drakandar, thanks for your efforts so far! Do you think you could contribute in this field?
regs Thomas
P.S. Adam, drakandar what time zone are you guys in? I'm in CEST (UTC+2)
Hey Thomas, I don't have any experience in resourcing opensource and/or cryptocoin initiatives. What I do have experience in is: - Software Engineering (Java mostly) - Source Management & Continuous Delivery - Backlog & Agile Management Regarding to the team; who's in it? and what's your history? Let's establish a group ASAP so that we can discuss the backlog for this coin. I'll start a PM thread with me, thokon00 and Gladimor. Message me if you have previously volunteered to be on the core team and we've missed your message :-) Regarding to Source Control; the sources of the faircoin wallet are on GitHub. Obviously I forked them. I tried to create a new Organisation named 'FairCoin', but that was already taken w/o any repositories. Do any of you guys have access to that Organisation account? In the meanwhile I created a FairCoinTeam Organisation and forked the sources to that. https://github.com/FairCoinTeam/fair-coinLast but not least; as long as we don't have control over the OP, my proposal is to reflect the backlog and the core team using GitHub and the README in the FairCoinTeam/fair-coin repo. Edit: timezone GMT +2, A'dam.
