Can we try your logo with just a single strike through ?
The reason I ask is that there is actually an ASCI/ UTF8 code that has a Latin character O with a single strike. This would make it really easy to price goods with a currency symbol.

making that symbol is def. what we should do! thats one of the ideas ive seen yet! keep up the good work yep! Ø (ALT + 0216) is better... You can use the ALT code! Maybe saad can make a version of that... Or what do you think? sry but that is the symbol of the arithmetic average... lol -why not using this one ¢ or this © i like the versions saad has done so far, but I would prefer to use the current logo as well at the coino.org and all other websites... I think it is something special. Look at the whole other coins which have jsut these boring static brand logos... If we talking about forms or static ads in newspapers - or if we have in the future a merchandising shop.. with t-shirts, longsleeves, stickers, cups and so on we should use the version saad had done. I also like the logo Saad has done but for writing out a currency value on your keyboard it would be good to adopt an existing ASCII symbol, and the LATIN O with Strike is the closest symbol to the logo. It doesn't mater if it's the mathematical average sign, there is no reason it can't be used when referring to coino quantities I also like the ¢ symbol but maybe to refer to coino cents 500¢ is equal to Ø5.00 But I think µØ looks pretty cool anyway I think that's a good idea. What keystroke combination makes the 'Ø' symbol? I just copy and pasted that one. |

Because they want to make money but they don't know how.... mining has a learning curve. Coino has advantages over the scam coins..... it's not a scam for one. |

The cost of buying Coino with Coino is unusually high!
It comes down to the exchange rates. The site uses a dollar value converted to Coino. There isn't much room going from Coino to items.
But, going from cash to coino has a fair amount of room. The issue is the fees to process "cash" type payments. Say for example someone wants to inject money for coino using a prepaid credit card. They are safe to take because they can't be charged back. But, we still pay 3% to process/sweep them. Plus the time and effort.
In theory, one could take gift cards etc and just resell them without sweeping. But, to do that leaves it fairly open to abuse of someone double spending a gift card. Once you factor in sweeping a card and issuing a new one, its cheaper to mail cash!
At the moment, its taking coino based on .00001885 BTC per Coino. But, its selling coino at a value of .00003000 BTC. Thats why you see the weirdness of 1250 Coino costing more 1250 coins. It is basically a raw look at the spread.
I also registered the domain CoinoCard.com and ordered a few sample POS units. I would prefer to see Coino used instead of Bitcoin in POS applications due to processing speed. We won't take BTC right now at retail because we don't feel like waiting an hour. 60 seconds is a much better deal. Of course processing time would rival Visa/MC if the transaction was entirely on the "Coino network".
Don't get me wrong. I love it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to start my own coino store - but my idea is to make it a charity/thrift shop style store. |

I guess the bug has bit hard... I couldn't resist setting up a little Coino store. It is really only of any use to you if you happen to be in Canada. While the store is live and orders can be processed, I'm somewhat looking for a couple bored people to just take a look and see if the interface makes sense. Its setup in OS Commerce. Once you flip the currency to Coino it shows the item amounts in coins. The processing is manual at this point - but it does make an official way to both sell Coino for cash and buy Coino with cash. I don't think there are too many alt-currencies doing that. You can find it at http://www.BillsBitMart.comYou will notice the rate to purchase things with Coino is competitive. The rate for buying Coino itself is a little steep. It includes room to sweep the methods of payment using traditional processing options. I think one of the advantages is that I'm going to run it openly at our three retail locations. One of the big problems I see with any digital currency is that buying it from a guy at the coffee shop really isn't an option to be taken seriously. Any news on the gravity update? Would be nice to know how that is coming along. yes it will start with block 157250 so in ~10 days! You can update your wallet next week. I don't cry (because i know the potential) but if someone will tell me that the real rate or exchange will not be real... i have to put it in order... why should i lying???

I think it wouldn't require a lot of action to see your 100 Euro investment turn into 200, 300, or more. Mining is the best way to make coino right now. A coino mined and saved will bring the market up. |

I think there are three reasons: 1. the multipooling 2. if it goes down most of the people are thinking: I have to sell before its nothing worth anymore 3. the value of the bitcoin is decreasing at the moment but if you want to know my personal opinion it is just a short down move... the value of the orders isn't really high till 10000 satoshis... best time to buy but everybody has to find his/her conclusion by him/herself.... 1. You guys have to keep a couple of things in mind before automatically getting discouraged about price dips. The volume is very low this early on so it does not take much at all to drive the price up or down by a lot. Also, these exchanges are not taking volume into consideration when displaying the ticker price. The price can be at .0001 and then someone can sell 1 coino for .000003 and then the ticker price will show as .000003. This causes confusion and panic so the next person puts up a sell order for .000002 and so on. No traders and no money behind the coino thats the problem. 10 solid reasons is nothing when you cant support your coin on the market and dont know how to do that. I think your apostrophe key is broken. I'll sell you a new keyboard for 1000 coino plus shipping and handling. |

As we all watch coino going through highs and lows we all have one common bond. We're here to make money. Like any money making endeavor, there will be moments of encouragement and moments of discouragement. I'm not going to tell anyone not to say what is on their mind, or attack them for feeling discouraged but there is a lot of reasons to be optimistic about coino and cryptocurrencies in general. At times I'm happy that I mine coino - I create the value of it - for the long haul. If my plan was to flip it into fiat currency value I'd have to panic over the value of what the dollar, euro, pound, etc is worth - what it can buy. But I know that the euro, dollar, pound, etc have gone through times where they couldn't buy nearly what they're buying now and they've gone through times when they could have bought more than they can now.... Do you remember that the dollar was in crisis only 7 years ago? And the solution was the U.S. Treasury printing more money to cover their expenses! Now there are twice as many dollars out there than there was only 7 years ago. This means that money is worth half of what it was before. Smart business people saw this and invested in gold - a safe harbor from fiat - now gold is only worth 50% of what it was worth 7 years ago. The bottom line is - money is becoming more and more worthless everyday. In order to spend money we pay fees and taxes and other costs(time for one). Do you really think the government is going to eliminate sales tax to save you? No way! Do you think the bank is going to eliminate all their fees for your convenience? No way! You've got to see the existing monetary system is dying - it's choking on all the previous methods to squeeze a little more out of it. The world needs cryptocurrency to succeed. So why coino? What makes it so special? Why can't I pay my rent with it already!? Why isn't it better than everything else today? What you're really asking is: Why isn't this saving us from our fiat misery? The answer is: It can. If we work together. If we withhold our needs from clouding our judgement. If we fight the temptation to screw other people over. Simply put, if we participate. Could any currency work if our plan is to sell it? I'm working to think about how to use it.
