Just another observation for those out there still sitting on the fence with regards to coino. Like every other crypto with threads on bitcointalk we will get our fair share of haters, and the more popular this coin gets the more haters we will attract. Theses will be like the DOGE fan trying to convince you this coin is shit, has no future, it's dead etc. Let me point out that these people will not be representing the DOGE community, they will be representing their own interest, their "bag" of DOGE. Any other crypto that doesn't die early is a threat to the possible value of their holding. If the demand for his DOGE drops due to interest in other coins he is looking at a loss. Don't let these people influence you into panic selling. We also have our fair share of dumpers. These tend to be the multipoolers, or individuals with large hashing power trying to make a buck. These people will, in the short term, adversely affect the value you see on the exchanges as they will try to out sell each other at 1 sat less to get the quickest sale and turn a buck. DO NOT assume that coino is on it's way out and panic sell on this either. Gravity Well should sort out the multipoolers but it won't stop the individuals with many mega hashes. It's been said before and I will say it again. Coino was VASTLY over priced when it first hit the exchanges because us core coino fans basically set it that high. This had the effect of making coino look VERY profitable to the big miners because the difficulty was so low and they jumped on in and started mining and then dumping their loads thus normalising the price to what it is now. If you really believe in coino's future you would be advised to buy all the coino you can from the non believers at the current low prices. Because as more miners come on board and the starts to increase again the price can only go up  |

We also need to do something OUTSTANDING to bring the RIGHT people here. I know there is this talk about a coino debit card but hey, a few hundred coino enthusiasts having them is NOT going to bring attention to this coin. We need MERCHANTS to sign up, you know those people who sell shit. We need GAMES where people can spend coino and have a bit of fun. This could include a few games on Facebook, if the game is good enough then the Facebook masses will start to wonder "hey were can I get some coino from to play this game ?". These are the kinds of things that will start to attract the attention of investors rather than what we have at the moment which is dumpers. So come on people, lets bring the chat back here, kick the tyres on a few ideas hey the crazier the better I say. Lets make this community worth coming to and have some fun on the way We have a lot of these ideas in motion actually but unfortunately yes we havent been talking about this here I think after this weekend there will be a few things to talk about...  Yes Ocean, I know there are things going on, I am the one building the coinocasino and I will continue to post updates, previews and discuss this here from now on as well as in the coino forum... And now other people know stuff is going on as well That's the point, we haven't been vocal enough HERE, I have also not been as active here as I feel I should be as a coino advocate and I will try my best to change that. I understand that this forum is important for the people involved into the specs of these coins. Somehow you need to be here to get notice by like minded people. However, if a coin wants to bind my wife, other (no coin minded) friends, parents in law etc. this forum will kill them off. Its like reading those manuals that comes with new gadgets.. Look on page 35 then on 19 and don't forget that I posted something about it on page 235 too Anyway, if you want to keep this community happy it seems like you have to put time in here with posting these kinda post. I am ok with it. Now if you want your coin to reach the masses then think Facebook and their Russian counterpart (VK). Give away coins there to attract "normal shopping people". Post it on Facebook, 100 coins to spend on shoes and give them the link to those shoes. Within no time my niece will like the post and will share it to all here 2200 other facebook friends. It will spread like fire. and I will put those posts on ignore (like I do with most of them  ). For people I speak on party's: If it it isn't on Facebook it doesn't really exist. They love to win, share and post. Coins need people like us to create and mine the coins. But it needs the rest of the world to spend it on things. Hmmm I'm not convinced about that at this stage. 99% of the world doesn't even know what bitcoin is let alone other crypo currencies, and if my daughters can't spend it, it's worth diddly squat. Crypto is not for the masses, they don't know what to do with it. They can't spend it, they can't or won't mine it and they have no idea how to store it. It's basically too damn hard for them to get their heads around. There is however a "type" of person interested in crypto and that "type" of person is right here on the bitcointalk forum's or one of the asian/chinese forums... I believe that even more important, at this moment in time, is MINERS and traders, and they ALL come here... We need to significantly raise and sustain the hash rate which means we need to show the miners out there that this coin is very much alive and very much kicking and we as the coino community can only do that by posting HERE in THIS thread. The forum has it's uses for give aways, technical issues and buying and selling some stuff, and frankly i think IRC should be for support anyway, not that I don't use it by the way, I know its convenient and for off topic chat it's great but it does NOT provide a permanent record of discussion around coino.. The main problem is that most people are busy... busy busy busy... They do not have time to sign up to "this forum or that forum" or follow multiple IRC channels for the coins they are interested in, and lets face it they will mostly be interested in many more coins than just coin(O). And that my friends brings me back to the point in question. Bitcointalk is where these people come. They will hang out on the fringes for a while to see whats going on and then jump in when they feel they know enough. If I had personally been hanging out on the fringes for the last week or so I would have died from board um by now. Forums aren't for everybody, personally I think they are a pain in the ass, too many different discussions under too many topic headings etc etc. By comparison Bitcointalk is EASY just ONE thread from beginning to end. If you want to tip people the odd coino then tip influencers in the crypto world a few coino to get there attention for a while. And who knows, if the coin is interests them they may just stick around. |

Agree with above about the forums. I didn't even know there was a coino forum, and I don't want to have to sign up for a dozen different forums for different coins. Keep it here, keep it central. I too thought the coin was dying as there was no activity here, and had stopped mining because of the above. Think I will start mining again tho.
Welcome back The forums has its use though as there is not allowed to be giveaways and such here. Yep it does. So announce the fact there there are givaways on the forum if people want to participate. That is not disallowed here |

Hit the 25k mark today  that feels good! Going to make me a lot of money this year I will try to talk more here. You are right it gives the wrong impression with all of us on IRC and the forum, and appears like not many of us are active. The truth is far from that. We have the most dedicated core groups I've come across, and the coin is so young. To be honest.... If it was me I would shut down the coinoforum and move everything back here because it will be difficult for people not to post in the coinoforum if they are there. THIS is where everybody comes to see whats going on and at the moment the lack of positive coin(O) vibe here (because it's all in the coin(O) forum) is smacking me in the face. |

It has gone down because it started off with an inflated value to begin with and then was balanced out by the market. The exchange rate and diff will always have balance and right now the diff is very low. The current exchange rate has just dropped to reflect that. The .0001 price you saw on day 1 was just because that was what we, the initial miners, set it at to start things off. You cant prevent the market from balancing that out though.
If you use the profit calculator on coinwarz to see how much money per day you can make with about 1 to 1.5 MH/s it will typically be about 8 to 10 dollars a day. If any coin becomes more profitable than that, it ends up at the top of coinwarz which brings a lot of sudden traffic from multipools. 2 things come of this sudden traffic. First, an increased difficulty. 2nd, a lot of dumping. Both of these bring the profitability of the coin down. When the profitability of the coin drops, multipools stop mining it, so then the diff drops. When the diff drops, profitability increases again, so multipools start mining it again. This will always happen and prevent the profitability from getting too much higher, or lower, than the norm of about 8 to 10 dollars per day from 1 to 1.5 MH/s.
Profitability is not the exchange rate. It is the exchange rate in relation to how fast you can obtain the coins.
The current exchange rate of coino is what it is supposed to be at its current diff in order to maintain the 8 to 10 dollar profit per day per MH that the market self-sustains. The exchange rate will always be relative to the diff. Not just the diff though but the sustained diff. The multipools coming and going will keep the per day earnings of coino to a regulated norm, but as non-multipool miners keep joining in on Coino, the diff will see a more sustained increase, rather than the temporary artificial increase caused by multipools.
If you are day trading coino, it is worth just as much as any other coin. (at least during the times of the day where it is high up on coinwarz).
If you are holding Coino for long term, stop worrying about how the rate went from .0001 to .000035. This had to happen and the fact that it didn't drop to .00000001 within the first 2 weeks means that the people that are actually mining coino for long term are still holding. Trust me, if it weren't just multipools dumping, it would go to 1 satoshi real fast. It hasn't lost its value, it has just settled in to its actual value. The .0001 price at a diff of 3 was never real.
It will not drop much further than it already has because it is relative to the diff which is almost as low as it can get. Now, if the core miners start leaving in masses then the diff could potentially drop to under 1 and price will plummet and the coin will be dead. This isn't taking place though. Diff has been bouncing between about 2 and 3.
The way that you get a big payout by getting into a coin early and holding, is for you to be able to mine a bunch of them when the diff is low and then waiting for the exchange rate to go up. The exchange rate will increase when the coins are slower to mine. You cant expect to be able to mine at a diff of 2, bring in 300 or 1000 coins a day, and them be worth a dollar a piece. If that were the case, everyone would mine that coin until it balanced back out to the normal 8 to 10 dollars per MH per day.
Coino is doing just fine and as long as the real miners (non-multipool) keep going with it, the multipools wont be able to bring the price down any more. They can only balance it. New "real" miners are joining every day but so far they are just replacements for people that lost faith, instead of additions that can help raise the diff, and therefor the exchange rate.
If you are looking to get rich overnight, go play the lottery. Its your only chance. If you want to get a big payout from being an early adopter of Coino, support the coin long term. A month is NOT long term. Have patience and do what you can to bring other people over to mine Coino. The more people that join in, the slower you will obtain coins. But, the coins you have already obtained will also be more valuable since they are now slower to get. There has to be a cutoff point between the period where you want the diff low so you can get as many coins as fast as possible, and actually putting in effort to get more people to come over and raise the diff so that your existing coins are worth more.
tldr; Coino is fine, be patient, the price is right where its supposed to be.

The activity here is giving the impression nobody is active, this is not true because we have quite an active forum on coinoforum. I think discussions on coinoforum should be left to promotions and non-coino talk between coino enthusiasts and that the real discussions need to come back here where people starting out will more likely discover it and join in. |

First preview of new coin(O) Slots game This is currently fully functional on an HTML5 client but I still need to finish the server games engine i.e. for payments and the rest services etc. You can download a tar.gz version to run locally for a play if you want from https://mega.co.nz/#!3IcSjLhC!M9ou9X51cP5oPK1aEMJ9hoYOCUGHK4O6XPZnI9S-ZHU Just unpack and open the index.html file your browser.  This is just the first of many games that will sit on my new games platform including Keno, Texas Hold'em Poke, Black Jack, Video poke, Roulette and more slots... This slot machine works exactly like the real thing i.e Random number generation and virtual reels. I haven't worked out the payback yet as I will have to dig into my brain to reawaken the area that deals with probabilities but I will set it to pay back between 92% and 98%. Once the new game server is configured it will also use sampled AM radio frequency background noise to increase the entropy of the RNG in a similar way to that used by random.org. There will also be an Arcade room where you can just play for fun. I am thinking of turning these games into a Coin(O) faucet room where you can earn just for playing.... Later on I will release the framework so that anybody else can write games for either the casino or arcade. The platform will be touch/gesture enabled and will run on any modern browser including on smart phones and tablets. Anyway, I'll provide more details over the next few week but hopefully we can start to get people to hold onto their coin(O) for fun later Just as an aside I am funding this all myself and will put 3,000 of my Coin(O) into the casino pot to start with (but any donations welcome).... I've just received my steam "Total War: ROME II" game from con.poolers.org giveaway. So, it was for real in the end.
... this does compensate some of the losses I have because of the recent price dip . But I'm still holding, waiting for promised CON mobile wallets, may never sell it if that actually materialize. Good luck! We are all glad that you got the game, but why would you have thought it wasn't for real ? The pool owner would stand to gain nothing from this and as he stated earlier, he is running his pool at a loss for the moment. |

Is it end this coin? Prcie only goes lower and lower... Possibly. Now the miners are starting to dump. Whats on the exchanges isn't even a fraction of what's been mined and this trickle will turn into a bit of a torrent. As I pointed out earlier in this thread, the natural value of this coin is possibly in the 100 satoshi region if that (0.00000100) when everybody's done dumping. 3.5 million mined coins are mined every month so I can see why people want to offload them now while these prices exist. Once it reaches it's natural level and goes on an exchange, the price could rise from there, at which point it will be in competition with all other coins. It's looking like a pump & dump IMO which will be history in 2 years time. I think it depends on what the "investors" do - if coin(O) finds an investor and realise a successful marketing campaign .. it will give the currency a real movement ;-) But at this time, to say anything regarding the future of the coin(O) is premature.. We have the normal "pump & dump" going on at the moment, and there is nothing we can do to stop this. The future "plan" from coin(O) is just that.. A plan. They, and we, would like that an investor will come along and back this coin, but don't bank on it... There is only one group of people who will make this coin a success and that's US... The community. Don't get me wrong here, the dev's have a VERY important role to play in this. But they are the dev's and will be seen as biased. We are the community and will be seen as passionate. If we are here for the long haul, then this coin is worth investing in, dumpers or not... Two years is a long time.. and I have stated here more than once that I will be the LAST community member to sign off. Every alt-coin has an enthusiastic launch and an expectation that it will become THE next big thing. I am not going to tell you that coin(O) is the NEXT big thing as I don't have a crystal ball and if I did I would be better on the Lotto instead. What I will say is this... Coin(O) has a great community and a great dev team. If we, as a community, buy up the dumped coin for the low value it currently is, then WE as a community can only prosper. I truly believe that coin(O) has a potential of $23 USD per coin, but it will NOT happen for at least the next 2 years... This means that you 2 years is just the beginning Two weeks ago we launched on an exchange at more than 2000 satoshi a coin. and even now we are still above 7000 satoshi a coin. Some would say we are over valued, I would say we are under valued, but the market will settle over the next 2 weeks and then we have to add value from ther |
