ETH in freefall. Must be because of the problems.

Does that mean that the invested amount is lower now? Like Lisk?
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth Behind New Altcoins on: October 06, 2016, 04:37:41 PM
If you're new to these forums and think this place is legit...

I will tell you this.

96% Of any of the new coins, including many of the repped ones, are a few groups of thieves who produce and dump code where they alter some non-important piece of code that they describe in confusing terms to make the coin look good.

They attract new users who have not learned about this scam into paying them even before a coin launches.  They build up some btc from the release, keeping coins and investments, then just disappear.  You will see a mysterious new user post an alt coin days later that happens to be from the same group of people.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. ITS ALL BS.  There's a handful of actual legit coins the rest are either 100% scams or are simply dumped later on.

ALSO WHO THE HECK RUNS THIS FORUM?

IF YOU HAPPEN TO LOAD THIS UP ON TOR BROWSER YOULL NOTICE THIEVES USING THE TOR IP's WITH BANNED ACCOUNTS.  MAKES SENSE BUT YOULL ALSO NOTICE
THE FORUM OPERATORS WILL UNBAN THIEVES IF YOU PAY THEM IN BITCOIN.
HuhHuhHuhHuh??

The sad faces at the end. What were some of the coins that you invested in that made you make this thread?
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Monero? on: October 06, 2016, 04:34:38 PM
So would this be a good time to buy some Monero, considering the news is fake. People should be more responsible in what they report. Assuming the price went down because of this news.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: October 06, 2016, 04:13:06 PM
I just have a question.  How many nodes are there on the MAIDSAFE blockchain? I mean, how many people are keeping the network up?
Also, is there a way to "ping" blockchains to see how many "nods" or active users / wallets they have?

Don't you guys think it would be good to be able to hav a list somewhere of how many nodes all the blockchains have? Can't someone do that, or tell me how?
I would gladly host a website regarding that data. I think its very interesting to  be able to see how many users all the blockchains actually have, or I mean, active constituents, in a comparative chart, as it could shed some light on actual scope of magnitude of the crypto community as a "whole".

SAFE doesn't use a blockchain, that's the big difference with other crypto projects. Think of it as nodes that connect just like BitTorrent but with messages and a cryptocoin implemented. SAFE solves a lot of things at once. So you can share data just like BitTorrent but in this case it's encrypted. You can register a domain just like on the normal internet, but in this case decentralized. You can update data that's stored on the system. At the moment the nodes run locally on a datacentre  Grin but we've had several testnets where we ran nodes from home. This thing scales to 100K users at ease. To a million as well. With Bitcoin you need to have some dedicated hardware to mine coins. On SAFE you just use your computer to deliver data to the network. That's called "Farming" and I think we'll reach a million users quite fast when the network goes to BETA. But first we'll see Alpha 2 and maybe 3. Not really sure.

This is a really good explanation. The one thing that I want to know is how many users are participating.

Iconomi: "Your ICONOMI account is suspended".
Here is why: .

Are you able to access your coins yet? Is there a scam going on?

Did you invest or is it bounty coins?

I don't think he invested any amount into the project, because some that has already invested some BTC into the project is not a bot and has a stake in the project already and will be treated as an investors

But there are some people who invest and are also part of bounty campaigns. He wouldn't lose his invested money I hope.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: #Rimbit scam is now stopped at IGG and Thai police contacted on: October 06, 2016, 07:58:43 AM
What's the back story?

What do you mean?

Mark Karlsson is a scammer and has been lying all the time about the #rimbit project. You can just go to the rimbit.dk forum and read. There is also this initial site that revealed the lies: http://rimbithub.com/

It's just the first time I've heard of this coin since I don't follow everything often, but I hate scamers and I'm always interest to see how people scam.

Okay  Smiley #Rimbit could still be saved if the scammer Mark Karlsson burns the 250 million Rimbit (or more) he owns and did promise to burn after the end of the IndieGogo campaign was over and he step down and let us the true investors take over. Right now he is continuing lying and trying to steal money from people who don't know better.... if the read on Rimbit.dk they would know better.

I'm reading it, but it's pretty much just talking about his writing style, personality style, and his alts that share of the similar traits.

So if he's willing to go through all that trouble it doesn't sound like he's honorable. So hopeful you guys can find his true identity. I also don't think someone who loses his temper that way has such a high IQ.

That is sad, if it's true. But at the end of the article it said something about AlphaBay being back up. None the less, I really hate seeing people get manipulated and lose their money in such a fashion.

Maira there are other currencies toting the same promises of an "internet on its own"
you also have Ethereum doing the same, along with Blocknet (which also has a decentralized crypto exchange) as well well I/O coin which is still in development, although also plans a decentralized exchange, and is also an "internet on its own"

Kim dot Com also plans a Megaupload 2.0 with his Bitcache, which also plans to be an "internet of its own" an internet within the internet, beyond public hackability, sort of like a global private intranet...

I know these are vague statements but that's the general gist of it...

now if only there could be "one ring to access them all and in the cyberspace combine them!"

It sounds like there will be a lot of competition for the hard drive space. I'm assuming that will determine the winner. The internet has a lot of content so to be successful this will need a lot of users.

Noooo, but that's not a bad idea. Create an account to specifically talk about how smart and attractive they are.
233  Other / Off-topic / Re: One book per day on: October 06, 2016, 05:41:52 AM
The last book I read is called "That Was Then, This is Now." But I don't know about reading it in one day. You would have no time for anything else.
234  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has a woman created Bitcoin? on: October 06, 2016, 05:38:14 AM
Not possible.
They are technically inclined.
And that is a scientific fact for the women here that say otherwise. Grin

It's possible for a woman to have created Bitcoin. Some girls are technically inclined. I lean towards it being a guy, due to Satoshi being a masculine name, but it's still a possibility.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: October 06, 2016, 05:35:44 AM
SINGULARDTV wallet under maintainance in bittrex this is approx 3 days, anyone know about this?

So the coins are locked on Bittrex? That doesn't sound good.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: October 06, 2016, 05:33:25 AM
This is looks like a really exciting project. So basically this will be an internet of its own?
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: October 06, 2016, 05:28:16 AM
You signature bounty stake is calculated by post count, not time, am i right? I.e. I post 20 during 1 month in ico so i get one stake, another guy who has the same rank posts 20, he has joint 2 months, so he also gets one stake? Or two stakes?
looking at the rules it should be the time, the one that joined two months will get 2 stake, the difference will be the additional 30 posts

Looking at the rule you get a stake for every week you have your signature on. Plus 1 stake for every 30 posts.

The total number of dogs is 9 while cats is 12 Smiley
I counted 8.
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: what will you do when you are in a bad mood? on: October 04, 2016, 05:32:04 PM
I typically just hold it in until it passes. I tried to avoid showing anger to other people that way I won't act in a way I would regret later.
