I always believe in second chances that everyone should be given once in their life to prove themselves as we progress being humans we make mistakes once in a while. Jamal made some mistake and he is now repenting which I think is most important. I knew him from last few year and on some occesson we exchanged money and it all went smoothly. He has a good hear. Thats why I beliebve he should be given another chance here to prove himself .

I wouldn't count on getting a specific criteria to get a local board because I don't think that Nigerians got it either, and if you think about it its even better not to have it as it may get abused. The most important thing is to keep being active in both your local topic and your request to get one and eventually you will get your own local board. Just don't get disheartened if it doesn't happen in the next few months because as we noticed, this procedure may take some time. Yes, we asked for the same thing out of curiosity, but we didn't get any response from theymos or any direct response from the staffs, so we kept going, ignoring some of the comments we received on our request thread, where some members told us that it was impossible because English is the official language of Nigerians and the Pidgin cannot be translated, making it difficult to moderate such a board. We eventually decided to lock our official local board request thread and stick to our single local thread. We received the local board when we least expected it. all the best Pakistan!!!! Has anyone from Pakistan contacted Theymos and Cyrus yet? That is the most frustrating part of not getting any response from the mods on when we will get the local board or what further needs to be done in order to get the local board. It happened with you (Nigerian board) too that you never got the response until one day you find out that you have been awarded a local board. Don't know what is the purpose of this silence by the mods. Maybe it's not under their job description to create a new board. Only an administrator can perform such tasks and they rarely respond, Better just wait patiently. |

There is no limit to the number of local boards that can be created to the best of my knowledge and it is no surprise that others would make a push for the creation of theirs close after someone else has gotten it. It shows that the creation of the Naija local board inspires hope in other forum members and they would want to share in their success story.

Seems like all this debate is because we do not have clear rules mentioned about the local board creation. If the rules were clearly written and the criteria for the creation of a local board were known to everyone, it would not be a problem. -snip- There are no specific rules for creating a local board. I think this reply best explains it. The brief answer is that posting translated coin announcements in Other languages/locations threads is -snip- Best advice I can give you right now is to help create an active Pakistani community on Bitcointalk, it's a long term effort and in the end the forum might help you expand in a board of your own. However, the latest local board created was the Philippines one, before it being created their lthread had ~600 pages. |
