221  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need help removing broken screw on: June 23, 2018, 02:35:46 AM
Lol. I wouldn't try all that useless "life hack" crap like drilling into it or using an elastic. Idk why people make these guides when a tool already exists and works souch better. I guarantee if you use the proper tool it'll come out just fine. I'm just not sure if this will be small enough since it's usually meant for 'normal' sized screws: https://www.amazon.ca/Irwin-Industrial-53535-Extractor-5-Piece/dp/B00004YOBF?th=1&psc=1&source=googleshopping&locale=en-CA&tag=googcana-20&ref=pd_sl_9t3mp5lc3m_e

Sometimes you just need to get the right tool for the job and not try to improvise. It'll save you lots of time and frustration.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: June 22, 2018, 03:49:33 AM
They can tell you it's illegal, they can try to do everything they can to stop transactions from taking place but in the end they can't actually stop you from owning bitcoins. Just hang onto them and they'll be worth more and more compared to your local currency, since banning something will certainly add a premium to the price.

Amazing trading dues. Good business, flawless results, aesthetic plan!  Good luck!

What? The exchange isn't even ready yet so... Obviously you're just shitposting for the sake of shitposting.

What is the purpose of these insiders to to build their own site with btc nvst pairs?

The point is because they wanted to, then did.

Blah blah blah I'm a sockpuppet

You are literally the definition of a sockpuppet account. Please log into your main account so we know who we're talking with. Thanks.

Why do you attack investors who are complaining about what is beginning to look like a scam? I was all for this project, but I am beginning to wonder if there will ever be any result or if NVO will turn out to be the next scam. Why don't you address the concerns of the investors, which is no updates, CMC delisting and a so-called message from the team that says that the wallet is only 30% complete when it was supposed to be launched 3 months ago? Why do you feel the need for personal attacks when the investors just want facts and results. What are you trying to hide behind your attacks?

It sounds like you're confused. Radiumsoup is an investor but you're asking questions like he's running the show.

2017
Investors giving their money to a one shady guy, who'd promises to build a Decentralized Exchange.
Investors gets a decentralized blockchain tokens from a singe issuer as a guarantee the project not a scam.

2018
Investors asking some 'mythical team' (not sure if it really exists) to to do something to list that decentralized blockchain token on any exchange.

Let just ask. Where is actual decentralization if everything going in so centralized way?

Omg this is huge news. I can't believe no one told me this before. All the money was paid to one guy?!

Based on this evidence, we should alert everyone on the forum that Lauda = Minerjones = Blazed. Omg. This goes all the way to the top. Do you think they're all just alts of Theymos? Probably.

1 year and 3000 BTCs raised, with nothing to show for it?

Wallet = nothing. Damn.

Enjoy the 6-star hotel in Dubai, or a nice beach in Greek, with the free money Smiley

Damn, life is good, for the developers.!

I had no idea Ton's hospital was in a 6 star hotel in Dubai. Thank you for bringing these facts to my attention.

All in all I can say that these are very compelling stories pieces of evidence and I'd better cash out my bags at the bottom. There's nowhere to go but to 0.

226  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 1000+ btc - Serious Inquiries only on: June 01, 2018, 03:58:18 AM
You're looking to buy 1000 bitcoins... On a forum... For $7 million+.

Honestly, why don't you just use an exchange? You're willing to pay 1% when most exchanges would charge <0.25%. If you're not willing to give an exchange proper KYC documents why would you be okay with giving it to some random on the internet? Also, most people would want to charge a much higher fee for a (somewhat) anonymous buyer. It doesn't make sense.

You have 0 rep here, and you say you have an escrow that you would like to use. Who exactly is the escrow? If it's not someone known around here we'll have to assume it's either you or a friend of yours.

Sending in small batches means nothing when a small batch is 100 Bitcoins.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always stay skeptical with your digital cash people. Cheesy

Maybe you should meet up with this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4311387.0

If you were familiar with bigger OTC transactions you would know that most sellers are willing to offer a discount for that big of an amount. So if you take that in account as well as slippage on most exchanges it actually make sense for both parties to agree on a price based on the spot on a arbitrary exchange at a given time. I understand that there is a lot of scammers hanging out here but the process I described above is as transparent as it can be. If you would like to know more feel free to send me an email defisico@protonmail.com

I'm very familiar with OTC trades and if also very familiar with people who avoid exchanges and why. If we're talking about an obscene amount of bitcoins, it's an (attempted, but never successful) scam 95%± of the time.

Pardon me if I just assume it's a scam and it works out. This just isn't the place to buy $7MM of Bitcoins, and if you read the forum history you would know that.

Shorting. Look it up. I wouldn't suggest it for the long term.

Oh are we at the bitcoin is done again phase

R.I.P.. We're definitely a done for this time guys.  Roll Eyes there's nowhere to go but to zero hahaha.

You know what's really efficient and brand new? Fiat. If only we could get people to use fiat more our problems would be solved.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: May 28, 2018, 10:40:27 PM
actually I will be releasing a website that enables the BTC pay feature on the counterparty dex making buying/selling NVST with BTC a breeze
I'm curious to hear more about how that works though, so the more details (and the sooner) the better.
There is a function in the counterparty protocol called 'bitpay' where one can place a buy order for a token using bitcoin instead of xcp or another token. It's a bit tricky to do - the buy side requires two transactions, and the timeout for any order match is just 20 blocks.

It can manually be done right now - you can see the history of matches from the very beginning of the NVST listing. But it's not as simple as just sending the bitcoin to the seller address.

Basically, the flow goes like this: Seller places order to sell NVST for BTC. Buyer places an order to match. The CP protocol says that once a match is made, the buyer has 20 blocks to complete the trade by making a second transaction that sends the appropriate amount of bitcoin in a transaction that includes the bitpay opcodes. You can see from this that a problem is created when a user places a buy order first and a seller matches the order while the buyer is away (or asleep, whatever.) Since the second transaction must be placed after a match, only a connected client can send the required bitcoin, and web services cannot reliably do that in an automated manner. Knowing this, the Counterwallet team disabled bitpay transactions some time ago from their web app.

Another hitch in the process is that if you send the bitcoin to the seller but the bitpay transaction doesn't confirm before the 20 block expiration, the tokens are not credited and the buyer effectively loses their bitcoin unless the seller sends them a refund (there is no mechanism to enforce refunds, you must rely on the seller's good graces.)

The method TSWR is setting up is a fork of an existing bitpay website that doesn't currently work - he and I are modifying it to work properly. Right now we are working on fixing a fee bug, but it should be ready to go...soon Wink

Well that sounds like a tough fix! I'm glad we have some competent community members that can come up with these solutions. Thanks guys!

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are getting very hard to get in. on: May 26, 2018, 03:01:10 PM
It sounds like you're hear to turn your fiat into more fiat. That's not a very good long term solution.

I only invest in things that I believe have a future or will change the future for the better. There honestly aren't many projects like that, so  not invested in veryany projects. Also, if the idea is so out there and way too good to be true, it'll either take forever to come to fruition, or it'll just fizzle out and fail.

I'd suggest just getting into normal cryptocurrency so that if you're left holding the bag, at least it will still be able to function as initially intended.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: May 25, 2018, 04:09:01 AM

chances are hitbtc would have taken the listing fee and then never even list NVO... that is way they did with Kapu coin.  20 btc of dev funds down the drain!

Any exchange that takes a fee for listing a coin is a crappy exchange. They don't care what they lost and only want to make a profit. They'll just desist it later when it has no volume. HitBTC is sketchy as hell.

at what stage is the project now? the sale of tokens is over, right? how many tokens sold? and where you can track the price of your token?

Really? Do you even care about an answer or were you just posting a few questions to make sure you hit the 75 or 100 characters to get paid for your post? Read the OP for literally everything you asked.

What's new with this shitcoin? I'm unwillingly holding some for the time being and got kicked from the discord for saying it was heavily censored. Which is actually hilarious since all they did was prove my point.

I wouldn't trust these guys. They've over hyped the whole time and at this point they're out of steam. They just bend over backwards for regulators and are the opposite of cryptocurrency. I'm off to better projects. Who needs the legacy debit/credit card system? None of us do.

Okay goodbye. Dont need idiots like you anyways. Probably mad you didn't get 10x gain overnight.

Lol they ain't out of steam. They are only getting started.

I'm pissed that these clowns ran an ICO to pay out dividends then proceeded to get rid of... you guessed it, dividends. Yet another useless ERC20 token. I know they're just getting started, a year after their ICO and I still can't get a card even if I wanted to, which of course I don't.  Roll Eyes

not much news here, they released their app but didn't test it yet. I prefer to wait for my card if there will be any...
it's true that they censor evrything, I remember I laughed on telegram 09/17 when they released their first "app" totaly useless and I got banned Cheesy

It really shows how they treat people that gave them money. Calling it a shitcoin is a compliment. At least shitcoins can be mined and are somewhat decentralized, this is a shit token generated out of thin air and the CEO just changes anything that was supposed to be good about it in the first place. It has 0 value whatsoever. You don't own part of the company by owning an ERC20 token, otherwise they would need to register with the SEC, which is why they said they got rid of the dividends. The cards might be fine for some people, but as an investment, "I'm out" lol. What a joke.
