That's a shame. PayPal is the devil.

Been getting a lot of 401 Authorization Required errors recently. Haven't changed anything and the user and password for bitcoind are correct.
223  Bitcoin / Project Development / Android ROM developer donations on: November 29, 2012, 05:31:12 AM
Custom Android ROMs are very popular and most developers on XDA or RootzWiki have paypal donation links. If you use custom ROMs or have a favorite consider suggesting they accept bitcoin for donations also. It seems to me they would be the type of people who would like bitcoin but I have yet to see a ROM developer give a bitcoin address.

I'm over my cashout limit for confirmed litecoins but I haven't been paid for a couple days.

Probably you set too low "Payout Threshold" value.
Detailed reward system is described here: www.coinotron.com

I don't see Payout Threshold on the front page.

CGminer says P2Pool is dead after switching to v9. It also pops up with errors about not having the merkel root.

NM, it's working now.

In your smug face Mitt Romney!

Weed has been shown to prevent Alzheimer's, reduce the growth and size of some tumors, kill MRSA infections, fight nausea and help appetite, treat PTSD and other forms of depression, and a bunch of other stuff. You can get a lot more ethanol from hemp than you can from corn and it takes basically nothing to farm because it grows like a weed. Pun intended. Paper, fabrics, plastics, fuels, etc, can all be made from hemp. People that are for prohibition are either crazy, stupid, or are profiting from it.

While sparking one up don't forget we might be getting Puerto Rico as our 51st state.

Voting against Steve King felt real good today.

The one that pretended to be a cop to pull people over?

I've seen about 24 different Mitts during the campaign. Which one is the real one and can he even tell anymore?

Has v9 been successfully tested? I'd like to see what this pool can do after the fork.

Botnets have been mining so they flag pretty much all miners as a trojan because they assume you didn't install it intentionally.

I'm running Win7 64bit with 12gb of RAM and a 3 core 3.0ghz processor and P2Pool is always losing connection to bitcoind. What can I do to keep bitcoin running properly?

edit I created a symbolic link to the Bitcoin folder in appdata and moved the blockchain stuff to a faster drive in my computer. I'll see if this helps.
I have linux VM w/2GB ram running two p2pools and 5 xCoind`s w/o any trouble Smiley
Try exclude bitcoin and p2pool directory form virus scanning.

Excluding from the virus scanner seems to have helped. It must have been rescanning the whole blockchain every time a new block was found.

I do 3D and my computer is rendering most of the time. When I'm not rendering it's folding@home or seti@home or running as a server etc.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Representative Mark Warden Utilizing Bitcoin for Campaign Donations on: November 01, 2012, 11:50:00 AM
The quotes on his website are hilarious.

"He supports my right to not wear a helmet on my motorcycle."

Does he support the right of the first responders to not have to scrape his brain off the road or the people at the hospital that could use their time better than trying to sew his face and jaw back on? What about the people at the assisted living place that have to wipe his vegetative ass and the people paying more for healthcare if he doesn't have insurance? What about the therapy for the little kid that just saw a guy's head explode all over the intersection? If you don't wear a helmet you're not just endangering your life but you're fucking up other people's lives and that's where liberty stops. Having liberty doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want to and fuck everyone else.

All my life my computers are always doing something so they are always on. They last for years and years and years with almost no problems. 6 months of always on should never kill anything unless it is running abnormally hot.
