Easy win for City in an away game.
They are now close to the top once again.

Btw I can't see how they can lose the title.

An easy win for Manchester City but that doesn't mean these guys are still the team that used to dominate in every game, these days when Man City are playing is like they're trying to be very careful and you see that touch of brilliance they're losing it in every game and I don't think they can be more deadly when KDB fully recovers.
Pep Guardiola to come out to say other clubs are wishing them (Manchester City) to lose in every game, to me that's not mind games anymore but he has gotten the message that no team in the EPL is that scared to go head to head without trying to get a point, on like last season, so I don't see the Citizens winning the league this season.

It is easier to be successful because they were matched with Everton, a club that placed at the lower table. I admit that this squad is not the same who dominated the league before. They slipped on a strike from Jack Harrison. But they are competent enough to the clubs on top. Firepower will undoubtedly increase with KDB and Haaland returning in January. Because of this, the gambling market remains stacked in favor of Man City over Liverpool and Arsenal. Their return is inevitable and Man City will close the season defending their championship.

Manchester CIty has played it's 18th game and Arsenal is playing their 20th tomorrow. Considering that, Manchester city are already in number 2 spot just behind Liverpool due to Goal difference against Arsenal. The top 5 position is highly competitive till date, still hard to determine which among Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Tottenham would miss the champions league. The team which would be able to be consistent would take the trophy and Man City are playing an impressive game though failing to score at times.
222  Economy / Gambling / Re: PvP Games in Casinos | What's your thoughts? on: December 27, 2023, 01:02:43 AM
I'm always fascinated by PVP games in online casinos and wonder why there are such few options.
I had previously played rock paper scissors on at least two gambling sites with a real person but both of them seems to be not working at the moment. Though being fairly simple the game can go to any lengths and is an example of game theory.
There was also a lightning bitcoin site that provided simple coin toss game between two players but can't find it now. Another simple game was Tic Tac Toe, but it has a limited moves. The easiest way of playing P2P game is poker, there are dozens of dedicated sites for it and there are a good number of players on the table.
223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Trump is Americas best option on: December 26, 2023, 08:23:57 AM
US citizens again have a choice to make between two evils.
Trump who acts like a bully from Cartoon TV series. And Biden who is the face of corrupt US corporations.
Trump would not have been a viable competitor if the Biden party had played it safe and to slightest degree acted for the sake of people.
But in contrast they were more focused on preventing Trump from running by misusing the state power which backfired and made people realize that its not the people who owns the state. They literally gave away the election to Trump.
Trump's election would further increase social polarization and weaken US democracy which is still better than continuing current bidens administration.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 26, 2023, 06:48:46 AM
Now what will happen if these three players retire from international cricket and concentrate solely on franchise cricket? Afghan cricket board has gone crazy. In tier-2 test nations, it is not that rate to have players skip a handfull of international matches to focus on T20 matches. The board has over-reacted this time, and this is going to be mutually detrimental for both the sides. Are they going to do the same against Rashid Khan as well? They don't have the courage to do something like this to him, so picked up the weak players.
After the impressive performance in World Cup I was feeling now things are going positive for them, and they are going to have good future in white-ball game but their policies and handling of their players like this now creating other level with most chances we can have another West Indies type model cricket here where mostly players will go against their own board and try their all luck and energy for the Franchise cricket which is surely going to have better future for them in all ways.

Even these all are too early but now with this first drop from Afghanistan Cricket Board now my mind-set is completely changed about their future in this game, and we have to wait for the more reaction how others will go with this punishment for their fellow players and what will be consequences happen for both parties.

Afghan cricket is still in its early stage and don't have the grassroot structure like that of west indies. This generation was the first set of naturally talented players.
With all the politics, controversies and economic problems, they'd be unable to produce younger talents and the cricket would lag behind when this set of team retires.
This has occurred to many teams like west indies and Sri Lanka which unlike Afghanistan, still have financial incentive to keep on operating local level framework.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 26, 2023, 05:27:46 AM
If a new casino launches an announcement here in Bitcointalk what are the requirements or criteria that will make you trust them?
Within six months after they launched their announcement here

Launching a review and signature campaign?

No complaints or scam accusations?

Very responsive representative here?

Good reviews from casino review sites?

Please vote and tell us why this is your choice all reasons are valid points but if you're going to pick one that will be the best answer what will it be?

Review and signature campaign are a good thing and is part of the overall advertisement. They should be able to attract new users to try and experience the platform.
There can be complains but how they handle is more important. Specially the newer ones need to be very cautious about your image in early days. Even a few stupid users with their stupid complains may play against you.
Responsive representative is a part of overall customer service and that includes response to complaints.
Review from casino review site doesn't hold any importance as we know it's buyable. Better to focus on trustpilot reviews.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 26, 2023, 03:10:13 AM
Afghanistan 2023 ODI World Cup has been the biggest surprise as they have defeated two tough opponents like England and Pakistan. Moreover, Afghanistan's top order batsmen performed well as usual and lower order batsmen especially Rashid khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman could bowl well as well as bat fairly well. That's why Afghanistan's score is much higher than other teams. Moreover, most of the players of Afghanistan participate in Big Bash, IPL, PSL, Carribbean League, County League at various times. That's why they have some kind of experience working inside their batting and bowling which makes Afghanistan perform like an experienced team.
Yes you are right. They played well in the ICC World Cup. They was just near to the Semifinal Qualification. But Australia defeated them. Especially I remember the Maxwell batting.
By the way I was expecting that the Afghanistan will perform well. But they didn't make a higher target. I was expecting that they will make 250+ runs but they didn't do that. But their bowling was quite well. They restricted the United Arab Emirates team below 110 runs. They have one more tour match and I hope Afghanistan will win that match too. After that they will play T20 series. They will play 3 matches. And I hope Afghanistan will the series. So let's see.  Smiley

Afghanistan currently is the best team among the associate nations and are presenting well in world stage. Provided we have a few more challenging teams, the very rule for the elite teams in cricket would be challenged. The problem with afghanistan is there's future is troublesome. With the national level ban on women cricket in Afghanistan, there has been rising pressure to ban the mens team as well. And even if they are not outright banned, they'll get less exposure and considering the economic situation, creating new talents would not get a priority.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 26, 2023, 02:11:05 AM
The problem is it's difficult to decide if a person is mentally unstable or not and even if he/she has a medical record, it's difficult and not a good idea to tag and prevent them on something simple as opening a bank account or using internet, which are enough to start gambling.
The people that are financially responsible for such people can limit their use by budgeting and asking for bills but if the person is financially independent and has no legal obligation, we can't just restrict them for using their money anyway they want.

Another form of similar attack are malwares and app that reads clipboard and can get your private key once you copy them. It is better to not deal in private key and type your mnemonics using a combination of keyboard and on-screen keyboard. Store the mnemonics writing the words in a notebook.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features of the worldview of a gambler on: December 24, 2023, 11:53:32 PM
I watched videos about gambling addicts, in which the channel’s hosts interviewed them. I was amazed at how many of them were pathological optimists. More precisely, it’s hard for me to use the word optimism in conjunction with the word pathological, but still. Any loss for them is just a short-term nuisance. Optimism takes over and they play again and again, not paying attention to loans and debts.
At the same time, many openly admit that they are gambling addicts. But they talk about it as a minor detail of their lives. They admit that they are gambling addicts, but this does not make them stop. They, as usual, strive to continue the game.
I have repeatedly encountered the fact that the very concept of risk management is either unfamiliar to them or they do not attach enough serious importance to it.
I would highlight the following features:
1. Pathological optimism.
2. Lack of risk management.
3. The desire to understand some fundamental issues of the game (they talked about this themselves in interviews)
4. Love for the game process itself.
What do you think are the features of the worldview of a gambler?

Nicely explained. The problem with gambling addict is they think they have a chance of winning but they don't. There can be one or several large winnings but on the long run, the maths of odds would be largely visible and no one wins more than they lose. Every game has a house edge be it sports betting or lottery. You may thing it's your analysis that made you pick the right option but put those wins and losses in long term and they'll come similar to the house edge you get in other games.
The problem with gambling addict is either they don't consider probability and if they do, they believe they can beat it.

Given their unpredictable current form, you can't even be too sure they can go past Osasuna  Grin

I don't see any way out for Barcelona at the moment. Maybe by some miracle all the injured key players heal and start playing in by January, which we know is just a fantasy. While Real Madrid are also faced with their own injury crisis, at least they can afford to go to the market and grab a couple of mercenaries, something that Barcelona can not afford right now.
Barcelona is currently scrumble, both in terms of unpredictable form and a notable injury crisis. But I think they will be solving this situation soon enough, because while Barcelona may be going through a tough period, the dynamics of the sport mean that they have the potential to bounce back, especially if key players recover from injuries. Regarding the injury crisis, while it's true that Barcelona may not have the financial flexibility to make immediate signings, the January transfer window could provide an opportunity to address some of the team's needs.

Barcelona has a history of nurturing young talent through their renowned youth academy, La Masia. The club may turn to promising youth players to fill gaps or provide additional depth during this challenging period. This approach aligns with the club's traditions and values. Integrating new players into a team requires time, and chemistry is a crucial factor in football success. Real Madrid, too, could face challenges in seamlessly incorporating new additions into their squad.

It's not just the injury and form. Politics and management has been a greater issue for the team and the mismanagement of funds has turned Barcelona, one of the richest club of Europe to one that has to think before bringing in a player.
The political issue of Catalonia, the fiasco of Messi and his contract before joining PSG. Not being able to pay players on time. Briebing refree and getting a fine for it. All of these have accumulated in the fall of Barcelona.
233  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 23, 2023, 02:16:52 PM
A lot of them seem to be hastily assembled clone sites with very little effort put in and gimmicky marketing. Do you guys have any thoughts on this... plague?

Gambling sites are coming up like mushrooms as most of the gambling experience can now be served with APIs. It's getting similar to how traditional gambling sites were being implemented. They serve sports betting through a larger bookie and slots through embedding a third party service. There's very few native coding involved and such site just focus on the GUI and promotions.
Though there are some dedicated ones and with such wild competition, it would take people to filter out the good ones and bad ones. As gambling is sustained by recurring players and not the one that hits and bounce.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 22, 2023, 11:44:26 PM
I no longer understand what has happened to Barcelona, even though it currently has a better squad than 2020/2021/2022 season... and also a coach, one of the club’s legends and their beloved Xavi, who is one of the best midfielders in history, and the return of Laporta and Deco to manage the club, and despite that, they are going through the worst situation with this. They struggled even against the small teams.

I believe that Barcelona hasn't been able to upgrade it level and there are many players who don't deserve to wear the Barcelona shirt, they should be sold as soon as possible. If they didn’t fix everything before the winter mercato, Barcelona will lose many or even all this season’s titles.

After winning La Liga last season, Xavi's Barca is now 7 points behind Real Madrid in this season's championship race after only 18 rounds. Many players have lost themselves, but Lewandowski is not the only one. His reasons are injuries and age. It's not easy to change when you're a football player at the end of your career. Kounde, Balde and Raphinha were all not at their best. Their midfield, too, is poor.
Regarding the coach, Xavi's vision is not far away. And the final issue remains to be decided, Debts are still at stake in Barcelona. They do not have the primary financial resources to change players. On the contrary, they have to sell their players.

Barcelona has been emptying up for years and now it's more apparent on the field than ever. I'm quite surprised of them winning the league last season are qualified to UEFA league knockout stage this year.
Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla would be the last game of the year on la liga. This would be more significant to Atletico Madrid as a win mean they would replace Barcelona for the third place for the holidays. Sevilla is not performing well and the game is in Madrid, so it should be a walk in park of Atletico Madrid.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have any one had experiences with banned bank/providers because of gambling? on: December 21, 2023, 04:59:12 PM
I find this very frustrating when i see people complain about their funding bank/provider account being banned because of gambling related activities. My younger just called me and told me his raven account was banned and he has been using it to deposit dollars in his gambling platform and also paying for subscriptions online. I want to get this clear.

Is it because of the gambling activities that got his account banned or it is because of the legitimacy of the funds that raven are more concerned about?

Is there any gambling platform that needs to be avoided?

Since i woke up we've been trying to contact their support for complaint and no response yet. Is there anyone with similar experience?

Not a permanent block or ban but in past I had problem with my skrill for withdrawing my gambling funds. If you don't know, Skrill was the most popular payment platform to get money to and from your bank and into and out of gambling sites. Paypal was always problematic and many gambling sites didn't supported it.
I had money from different sources and my bank in the skrill account, I deposited some amount to a popular gambling site to bet for the world cup. I made a decent profit and withdrew it to my skrill. It went without an issue but there were trouble from skrill on getting it to my bank as I had mixed my gambling euros to non-gambling euros. With months of trouble, I redeemed my cash but stopped using skrill.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 21, 2023, 04:30:29 PM

One player who can stay at one club for the duration of his career is Thomas Muller, he is so loyal to Bayern Munich. Now he is set to remain at the club after extending his contract.
He is a player who contributes to the team, although he doesn't always score many goals each season, but his presence is felt during the game.
One of the reasons why he is so at home at Bayern Munich in my opinion is because at Bayern Munich the chances of getting the title are so high and we can see it now when Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga in a row for more than a decade. No one can break their dominance during that time.
Thomas Muller is very good player for Bayern Munich and in my opinion I think he should continue to play their and retire as a legend at Bayern Munich, Muller might be getting older but he's still good at the ball and has lots of experience to offer to the team, and I'm quite sure alot of younger teammates would be looking up to him as a role model, based on his loyalty and good record in the club.

It's a good thing Muller extended his carrier with Bayern Munich, cause the chances of him retiring as a legend in the club could become a reality, also I think Manchester United would had made a silly mistake in try to get him, despite the fact that he's a good player, I don't think he'll blend into United's style of play and the fact that he's not younger should've even discouraged them from getting him
Yes I think so too, he will retire with Bayern Munich and Bayern Munich themselves will certainly be in the middle of it. For a few seasons, there weren't many rumors about him moving on or any clubs really interested in signing him. Even if there was it was just a rumor that in the end we never saw the transfer actually take place.
He's very comfortable at this club, in fact I've never heard of him having any problems, be it with fellow players, with the coach or with the club management. That proves he has a good attitude and can be mature enough to control himself.
You are right, even if Manchetser United can get this player it is not certain that he can play like at Bayern Munich, especially with the problems that always come to Manchester United that in my opinion will make him uncomfortable.
Thomas Muller is currently 34 years of age but looks somehow older than his physical looks who I believe is a natural to some people. He's already considered as a legend in Bayern Munich and I don't think he's fit enough to make any big move to a big European club at the moment. When Muller was younger, he had received a lot of offers from numerous football clubs across Europe Manchester United included but the former German international never considered leaving Bayern Munich and that's why I don't think he'll be leaving now. Of there's any possibility of seeing Muller leave Bayern Munich, then I think it'll be to one of the Saudi Arabian clubs or maybe a Major League Soccer club.

At his current age and performance, it'll be absolutely unwise for Manchester United to sign a footballer like Thomas Muller.

German players are content on their national league. Bundesliga has a large following, huge sponsorships and their own style of playing which involves a fast paced attacking game.
It's not as easy for other players to get used to the Bundeslliga and Bundesliga player into other leagues. That makes them somewhat isolated. There are players that switched between leagues like Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Kevin de Bruyne, Heung-Min Son but not any large german names.
Thomas muller personally has always played in German clubs starting as a kid to current age. It would be safer for him to retire it from the Munich.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 20, 2023, 04:35:17 PM
Manchester City have won the EPL, the Champions League and the FA Cup. The team spent a lot of effort to make this treble. So this season, they will most likely save their energy for rebuilding. And City will most likely focus on winning the Champions League. I expect Manchester City to recover for next season and they will once again fight for the championship in the EPL.

Losing a lot of energy this season is not an obstacle for them to continue playing consistently. At least the chemistry must be maintained by all the Manchester City players, even though they have not dominated all the matches this season, at least they can get a trophy this season for the title race this season, it looks like Manchester City still have the opportunity to achieve it, even though sometimes they lose consistency in every match or the players experience fatigue in some of their important matches, as defending champions this season.
Before the season ends, Manchester City always has the chance to win the League. Their performance this season raises some doubts about their success like last season, they dropped too many points in the last few games to leave them far behind the top of the standings. Arsenal and Liverpool are still very consistent in maintaining their performance, Aston Villa is also starting to provide competition in the top four.
The new strength that Aston Villa has formed makes them a dark horse team that is ready to beat big teams. Manchester City has also experienced Aston Villa's ferocity this season. As teams increase in strength this season, such as Liverpool, which is starting to enter the title race, Manchester City's chances are getting smaller, especially since recently they have not been able to maintain their performance.

There's still a lot of game to be played but the performance of Manchester City is not improving but going on a downturn. Football is all about the team sports.
And when Manchester City is not able to save a 2 goals lead in it's own home against a team like Crystal Palace, no miracles are coming if there's not a change.
I'm not quite a fan of Manchester City as in modern times, they were never as strong till arabs bought every good players, yet they have some capable individual players and an excellent coach, Pep Guardiola, that I respect. I'd be happy to see old school teams like Arsenal and Liverpool win the league this time.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 20, 2023, 03:56:26 PM
There were quite a few surprises from the IPL auction yesterday. Players who were retained would be complaining that the ones who got the bid this year benefitted a lot. Mitchell Starc setup a new record, with a bid of $2,980,000 from Kolkata Knight Riders. Pat Cummins was not far behind, with a bid of $2,470,000 from Sunrisers Hyderabad. But the real surprise package was Daryl Mitchell who got a bid of $1,687,000 from the Chennai Super Kings. Cricket Australia would be most happy, as they will receive a fraction of the contract amount (20%) as foreigner release fee.
I am also surprised with few bids because I have feeling Pat Cummins not deserved this but still he is happy with Cricket Australia is enjoying this all because we all know this IPL is well benefited for the B-4 and they all enjoying and having good financial help as well, but my biggest disappointment was Phil Salt which is today's social media hot topic as well because he scored two back to back centuries and already having good time in T20i for the England he also deserved good bid but no franchise goes for this which is surely big disappointment.

Overall we have nothing new thing as Australians were expected to have this with their recent ODI world cup win in India and mostly other players were already retained by franchises, but I have a feeling Pat Cummins is going to be overrated on this price.

Yes IPL is a win for every player drafted and more so for the large bid winners. Australian players have proved their worth not just on current series but they also have made significant effect on every IPL tournaments. The difference on the ones highest paid and others that are not so highly paid may not have such huge difference in performance.
And the team bidding such price might have reasons for that and IPL is not just about winning for the teams. It's an overall advertisement platform.
What viewers and gamblers get overall are thrilling close contest short format game entertainment.

Man City would play Danish champions Copenhagen a team which I believe is a less formidable opponent thus I don't think it is going to be a difficult match for Man City they two clubs previous meeting ended in favor of Man City they played a goalless draw at Copenhagen while in second leg Man City thrashed them 5-0 at Etihad stadium I think in this round of 16 Man City would have an easy qualifications same with Arsenal who play Porto, however after their qualifications for the quarterfinals then they would likely be drawn against a much more formidable opponent, from my own point of view Man City squad of this season isn't as strong like that of last season thus their chances of retaining the UCL would be very tough and unsure.
Copenhagen in the group stage did take us by surprise with the qualification they were able to get pass the group stage when we leat expected from them because at the beginning of the season, they did appear like they wear a weak team amongst others in the group, they only had Galatasaray as their equal but then it turned out they are now qualified for the round of sixteen.

I believe Manchester city will still win Copenhagen because Manchester city does even better in the champions league and they don't look more superior to Copenhagen both in their team depth and strength so I think unlike the group stage games, Copenhagen is really going to find it difficult in the round of sixteen because the competition here is even more intensive. Arsenal looks like a better team against Porto and I definitely not expect any much from Porto but more from arsenal to win this game because they look more promising with their performance this season.

Manchester city did have a lucky draw, with their current form, Copenhagen won just 2 of their six league matches and was just lucky that other in the group performed inferior.
Among 9 English, German and spanish team in the top 16, none of them are competing each other except for Leipzig vs Real Madrid, just because there are no other team left.
And English, German and Spanish are expected to come victorius and the only competition I feel is for Real Sociedad who would play with PSG.

The Biden bannered team have already lost unless something huge unforseen event happens on the US politics.
Legally not allowing Trump to run was a good idea but they don't seem to have same level of influence on judiciary as they have on media.
Another large loss to the hegemony was the buying of Twitter by Musk. Musk has said he'd remain neutral and when there's no Twitter to feed the propoganda, it's hard for the establishment to remain in power. Trump is the safe bet for now.
