Maybe if you had a job, you wouldn't be blaming others.

A Vietnamese anti-semite racist, hmm.  You're very lucky to be in the U.S.  I'm guessing Vietnam doesn't have the same kind of freedom of speech that the U.S. does.

222  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: June 07, 2016, 11:27:12 PM
Yeah, you should BUY, not sell.

If the price is $800 now, it is over valued, so I will sell. As the price is just $420 now, I will buy.

Pretty amazing- in just 2 months the price has gone up nearly 20%!
223  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Tile tracking device! .05 BTC includes shipping! on: June 07, 2016, 03:55:37 PM
Well it looks like I might have my first customer!!!

It is to goldflake, who lives in India.

In the OP, I stated that I wanted to keep delivery within the U.S. as a first go-around.  Goldflake has pm'd me, and has convinced me to send it to him, so I am going to go to the post office.

To anyone from the U.S. who has had experience shipping to India, is there anything I should know?

If this works, I will take more international orders  Smiley

Thanks!

I got it!

I found mine in my apartment's postbox today so it may have arrived much earlier. I'm very happy with it. I think I'll buy one more soon.

Nice!  Good to hear, Goldflake!  I hope you will be happy with your purchase.

I guess I feel a little more confident selling worldwide.   So if you're interested, please let me know.  Thanks!  Smiley

You think draft-dodging donald is the answer or the problem?

Chicken donald will end up being worse than dubya.

Hillbill doesn't seem much better.

Anyone voting for the libertarian party?
225  Economy / Goods / Re: help me buy something? on: June 06, 2016, 11:11:33 AM
Web slicer, I did a quick search and I found some sources offering without a prescription on ebay.

I would offer my help, but I think it is too risky to send someone medicine who I don't know, and, more importantly, I am not in the medical field.

Good luck!

I wonder what He finally did.

I was thinking the same thing!

If he had simply invested the money in bitcoin and held onto it, he would have made quite a profit in less than 2 months.

To those who don't trade, I still think buying and holding is a good strategy.
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loan for trading? on: June 05, 2016, 04:12:07 AM
Have you checked out any of the bitcoin lending sites, like btcjam and loanbase?  You can be a lender or a borrower.

Lending can be tricky no matter where you do it, because there are so many scammers and people who don't know how to manage their money properly.
228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Status of Bitcoin and PayPal? on: June 05, 2016, 04:01:49 AM
Please, somebody answer the OP's question ' will PAYPAL block the sellers account' if the account is used for BTC transactions?

Thank you

Don't do it, unless you like taking risks.  Paypal with close your account and you will feel the pain.  If you want to read about many people's woes, search on the forums of localbitcoins.  Some people think that, maybe if they have a middle account, they won't get caught.  But based on everything I have read, if you sell or buy bitcoins with your paypal account, you are indeed violating their TOS.
229  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 02, 2016, 01:54:25 PM
What is this??
I have asked about this before and no answer.....

This is horrible.
I just placed an extremely LARGE order and I don't think anyone will pay a 4BTC tax... this is insane.

Your estimated VAT's would be 4.99 BTC ($2,679.64).  Shocked Roll Eyes

Even more insane in the membrane  Shocked

Yes, it is unreasonable!  minerjones, what a way to get your response from BTCC  Huh

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Hi!

Although the group buy doesn't officially close as stated by minerjones until June 6th, I was wondering if you would be so kind to post your payment sooner, perhaps by June 2 or so? Of course, this is merely a friendly question, but apparently Bobby Lee (BTCC) has stated that they are selling through the first batch of coins relatively fast and the window could be closing on getting in sooner than we think.

Thank you for reading this! (And sorry if I am overstepping my bounds as a certified newbie!)   Grin

Sincerely,

tothemoonsands

Right, until June 6th!  But I paid in May, because, I was being so kind.  I am that kind of guy- too trusting.

To the certified newbie (Bobby Lee):  You overstepped your bounds by railroading us to pay early and then by improperly declaring the goods.  Undecided

230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to buy bitcoins on: June 01, 2016, 03:37:42 PM
Hey , i want to buy bitcoins with my credit card , what legit site that i can trust can help me?
Thanks.

You can find a reputable trader on localbitcoins who will sell you bitcoins with a credit card.

Just be aware that you will have to pay a premium , because many scammers use stolen credit cards to buy bitcoins.  The seller will cover any potential scams by charging a lot more for your bitcoins than with cash.

Hope that helps!
231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading --- your end goal is more fiat or more btc? on: June 01, 2016, 03:01:32 PM
If you are continuously buying and then reselling, you are doing arbitrage.  So, then the cycle is never-ending: you're constantly buying btc below spot and re-selling for more than what you bought it for.  It doesn't matter what the price of btc is, because you will sell it at a mark-up and then purchase more with your fiat.

In arbitrage, the goal is to continue to grow your wealth, so you will be buying more and more btc just to resell them again.  Because the volatility of btc is much more than the volatility of fiat (U.S. anyhow), the way to see if you are growing your wealth is to gauge how much fiat you have.

If it weren't for my TILE, I would've pulled my hair out!

I lost my phone this morning and tile helped me find it!  (Okay, the phone was in the bathroom...eww Tongue)

But, still, I found it with that sqaure little Tile! Grin

So, now it's time to get your very own TILE!

Also, because of the rising price of BTC, the NEW price until otherwise noted is: .035 BTC each, or .06 BTC for two!

A t-shirt for over $60?   Huh

You have to reprice your products.
236  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OPENDIME: Zero-Trust Physical Bitcoin Wallet – Bearer Bond – Credit Stick on: May 30, 2016, 07:15:20 PM
I really like these!  I think they could be used to initiate newbs to storing and transferring bitcoin.  Or just to have a cheap disposable wallet!

My biggest issues is my paranoia about any kind of hardware wallet device, whether it is this or trezor, etc: that there may be malicious code built in to steal the bitcoins.

I know I am paranoid.  I will freely admit it.  So, how can you guarantee that my btc are safe?

Thanks!  I know it must be tough convincing someone like me, but I definitely would buy some if I was pretty certain they were safe.

- Don't give your cell phone to your trading partner
I assume you mean "cell phone number", right? I would never give my phone.
If you're afraid to give your number, get a prepaid burner phone. Here I pick up a prepaid cheap Samsung phone including credit for 10 euro, and the battery lasts for weeks. This way you keep your personal number private.

Yes, I mean't cell phone number

Good point about the burner phone.  Once you give your cell # to someone, there is no taking it back unless you get a new number.  You may get people texting you in the middle of the night.

I'm new to this, but if I have phone specifically designated to BTC sales/trade. Why would that be a bad I? Sure you get calls in the middle of the night. But what else would be a risk ? Thanks

Until you trust someone, and even then, your cell phone number can be used as part of social engineering (con) to gain control of your accounts.  For example, a trader I know got his localbitcoins account hacked via social engineering. The scammer had the guy's cell number among other info, like where he went to college, etc.  With some of that info, the scammer took control of the victim's email account and it snowballed into owning the LBC account.  It lasted only a couple of days, but some damage was done.

Honestly, if you are the type of person who doesn't buy too often, say once a week or month, I doubt anyone will do anything harmful with your phone number.  If on the other hand, you are a big trader, you could be a target of a scam.  It also depends on how anonymous you want to be.  I know someone who is constantly selling to many different traders.  I have bought from him a couple of times and still he prefers to message me through LBC.
