221  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ChainLock your online accounts using a bitcoin address on: October 26, 2016, 05:16:29 PM

sorry.. but um, nah.
i think bank of america will do their own bitcoin 2fa without "chainlock" as middlemen thus remove a security flaw (middlemen)

The first commenter seems like a person that immediately assumes he understands everything about anything, and why it won't be adopted.

Please believe that ChainLock is...[edit]

It doesn't matter whether a few people have doubts. It's just a matter of time before the entire Internet adopts ChainLock as the standard for locking online accounts.

I agree with what Franky is stating and the response to him just points to why people should be weary of this business. Its bad tact
to insult people that are actually reading this advertisement that is actually in the wrong forum to boot.
You are asking people to "Please believe..." and that is sketchy as hell, when we are talking about you acting as the secure link in transactions. Finally it does matter if people have doubts and you should be working to address the doubts rather than tossing them to the side because you believe the product is superior. You need to work harder on talking to the customer,as you are coming off in a manner that is raising multiple red flags.

The main issue I have is you did not explain why Franky is wrong and I would like to see you address this.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain for President: How It Can Disrupt US Voting Machine on: October 26, 2016, 05:07:18 PM
This will not happen for a very long time, reason being who owns the voting machines in question.
Once you see Soros name you realize why they are being used and why people factor in elections being rigged.

http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/concern-grows-over-soros-linked-voting-machines/

Quote
Concern is growing over revelations that voting machines in a significant number of states could be linked to a company tied directly to billionaire leftist George Soros and his personal quest to create a nationless, borderless global state.

223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc authority on: October 26, 2016, 04:45:04 PM
The point of BTC is to NOT have this.
I know, but as people, governments and states are becoming more and more aware of the potentional of btc, do you think that they'll just let it be o will they try to create some sort of superstructure to it?

If government steps in to regulate, they would most likely adopt a similar crypto with their rules in place.
They would also start a campaign explaining how bad bitcoin is and what sleazy perverts use it for and why its better to use Sheepcoin instead.
If people want to regulate and get down with government they are not bitcoin fans at all.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Used a Bitcoin ATM in a gas station today on: October 26, 2016, 04:41:23 PM
As for weird spots,I got off a transit train in the dowtown core and caught a bitcoin atm stuck in the corner that was buy only. Couple months later I thought I would give it a shot and the security guard had no clue they had one or where it went,so I reverted back to the old spot.
Was trying to explain bitcoin to the security guard well 8 cops lingered around giving me funny looks as there was a alert on bombs that day if I recall right. Cut the conversation short when I noticed they where taking a little more interest in me. Cheesy

The gambling aspect is saturated and dead sites can be seen all over the forum, why copy the same path when it is showing little profit.
The established sites will continue to attract the majority of the players and you would have to dump a arm and a leg in bonuses and freerolls to attract players that would just go back once you are bled dry.

One spot that I continue to have problems with is sites that allow you to convert bitcoin into other payment forms.
Say giftcards for bitcoin, the sites that do this are regional and mostly American.
Finding a way to convert bitcoin into pokerstars funds would be a real big boost but of course stars would have to play ball. Have known them to allow things if approached correctly in the past, but most people do not know how to engage them in the right way. Not saying I do either but I know people have problems moving funds in and out.
227  Economy / Economics / Re: Foreign Aid For Development Assistance on: October 25, 2016, 05:43:12 PM
Aid is often ate up by admin paper work, corrupt management and people along the way.
For the most part these aid groups give themselves a lot of pats on the back but pull out as soon as it is unsafe, which is often.

Some of these Countries the aid is actually more a bribe than actual help to the current regime.
228  Other / Meta / Re: Negative trust comments are useless on: October 25, 2016, 04:54:07 PM
"Negative trust comments are useless" is like saying "reading 3rd party reviews of businesses/sellers is useless"

Feedback from users/buyers/public is one good way to get generally decent feedback about a person/business.

Saying it is useless is ignorant.

This depends on the verification of the reviewer.

Thought most people where not buying into these reviews due to how often they are exploited by the people being reviewed.
For example any hotel you are about to visit could show up as the best or worst depending on if it was self reviewed or reviewed by a competitor.
It is obvious that some trust comments here are based on scratching each others backs to drum up more business.

Also a lot of copy cat trust users hoping to make a name or get in with certain folks creating a bit of a circle.

Not saying established accounts do not deserve more weight but the negative trust is exploitable.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks plan to hoard bitcoins to pay cyber ransoms on: October 25, 2016, 04:41:41 PM
When it comes to any wacky stories about limiting peoples rights or hoarding for a potential issue they should be ready for or not openly acting like they are walking around naked,it never fails to be the U.K! Just really hope that most the things they are attempting are shown to be foolish.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legitimate reasons for needing your bitcoin 'washed' on: October 25, 2016, 04:38:47 PM
We are in a time where we do not know what the future holds for bitcoin when it comes to regulation and rules,so keeping as much cloaking as you can has to be the best way to proceed for the future. I also limit myself to social media that has no real details and go looking to make sure I do not have to much personal details floating around the net.
As much as we control it is really just a attempt. I google myself from time to time and recently came across a problem. My email, cell number and location where all there to be seen for like a week until it suddenly disappeared. The problem being that only government had all those details when I opened a business and so some one that worked there leaked it knowingly or its just standard practice for them to air it out like that.
Was a shocker but it is not the first time I have come across issues and I try to keep all my details offline as much as possible.

Should be in every ones interest to limit exposure for when the potential crack down happens, they will most likely not see a difference in current and past users.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: October 24, 2016, 05:27:54 PM
Find it odd that people would rely on a exchange to keep their coins safe after all the things that have happened through out bitcoin history. It would be like leaving your wallet on the front seat of a car with the key in the ignition and expecting it to still be there 3 hours later in the seediest part of town.
It surprises me that people still do this but not  to big of a shock that a segment of the bitcoin universe is still doing this.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: How to deal with the "bitcoin has no physical existence" argument? on: October 23, 2016, 08:50:10 PM
Hard argument to take on because most people believe they actually own the land they have a house on as well and do not realize how easy it is to toss them out of the location.
When you look at anything there is a line that can alter ownership and bitcoin being digital just makes it that much more clear, comparing it to say real estate where people are not usually running into issues where the land below them is going to be used for a pipeline and they need to move along.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: The next financial crisis and Bitcoin on: October 23, 2016, 08:47:20 PM
People do not run to bitcoin when the markets go haywire and I recall watching a some what dip time recently where gold and bitcoin both went down as well with the markets. The simple fact is people with large amounts in their investments do not suddenly pull out of the markets because the wind changed direction. Bitcoin does well when it already has people on the ship adding to their portfolio,as opposed to running to bitcoin when things head south.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: What is happening in USA? on: October 23, 2016, 08:44:31 PM
This happens every election, people get a little jumpy when they do not know a set outcome that could dictate the way the Country operates the next 4-8 years.
Investors are always a reactionary bunch and it does not take much to swing the markets. USD is still the go to for most people and investing in any other currency is more of a stretch, especially with signs pointing to America being ready to come out of that nasty 2008 slump.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: October 21, 2016, 11:40:56 PM
Feel like age has made me more in tune with my financial investing and having a lady in my life keeps me from going off the deep end and doing something stupid with my money. So I make a point of talking to a lot of older folks to tap in to their wisdom on how to make a decent life with what you got and its really made me respect money more than I used to.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: October 21, 2016, 11:38:06 PM
We really should be addressing the issue of poor and having internet access, a large segment are not in range to receive internet.
So talking about bitcoin changing their lives is not really being fair to having a honest discussion. Recall reading Zuckerburg discussing internet access and the challenges of getting it to these places and he mentioned that a large segment still would not be interested in it even once its global.
That is a very interesting aspect to the discussion. If they are unwilling to join, how do you make bitcoin a even smaller segment something they are interested in?
You factor in governmental control over the internet and its a wash.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of Bitcoin will not be felt by the mainstream until governments.. on: October 21, 2016, 10:48:54 PM
Read a article in the NewYorker about transitioning from paper to digital and it was pointing to Sweden,Denmark and Norway getting very close to achieving this. It took me back how easy it was for them to start implementing the plan. Started by eliminating small currency bills, making transit take cards and limited cash, bars going cashless and it just trickled into all aspects.
After reading how they did this I started to notice the same thing has been unfolding here in my neck of the woods with eliminating the penny! Cheesy
Maybe a bit slower but I read they want to take away a few other coins as well and our transit has become very cash unfriendly with these stupid cards we have to register.
Other interesting things from the article where how much money is under mattresses in higher denominations like $100 USD. They gave a percentage of how few are actually in circulation. Also made me think how much easier it would be to drop negative rates on us if we had gone all digital. Almost like they let the cat out of the hat a little to early and hope we do not connect the dots.

Here is a link to the story:(Honestly only read about half before I was uprooted, will read the rest tomorrow)
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/10/10/imagining-a-cashless-world

I honestly am getting a little worried realizing I am not prepared for government to strangle me financially and need to smarten up and get to work.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much damage would VISA have suffered if they'd hit a transaction limit? on: October 21, 2016, 06:37:37 PM
Not sure why people keep coming up with this comparison for bitcoin to a credit card.
There is personal information behind the service that tracks you in countless ways, hell I was reading that in the UK they want to add biometrics to the credit system. Not just talking eye scans but the way you type, move and locations. So you may get a service that offers a quicker way to move funds but the future is going to be much more controlling as the system looks for ways to track and control the populations.
Speaking of UK I also saw they are thinking of tracking people that watch porn and making sure they are over 18 to watch.
So in doing so are creating a massive data collection to gain control of people. Is this what you want in the every day aspects of living or do you want something that runs counter to these bloodsuckers?
239  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: October 21, 2016, 06:22:57 PM
A fact about passive income is it quickly gets saturated with like minded folks once the idea is public knowledge.
So any good means of making passive income is either going to take money or is on its way into the ground.
The idea that some one is going to point you in the right direction at the cost of their own skin is foolish and points a big sucker tag on you for thinking in such a manner.
Look at bitcoins history of passive, semi passive income schemes and you will see they dry up or take a bit of cash.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: October 21, 2016, 06:19:15 PM
You ever see people interviewed after buying a lottery ticket for a large jackpot?
They all have the same look on their face like they already won the thing and are planning how they would spend it.
Bitcoin seems to be a pipe dream for a lot of people in the same sense gambling may rescue them from a existence of a life unfilled. Its really a trap mindset and its best to treat bitcoin as it should be. Not a investment strategy to get rich quick but a means to have a backup if your government suddenly rips you a new asshole and takes everything.
The get rich plan is nice till you take a step back and realize that bigger fish are in play.
