221  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA miner monitoring fanspeed RPC linux/win/osx/mip/arm/r-pi 3.8.4 on: December 03, 2013, 09:21:26 AM
Any chance of getting the Drillbit thumbs integrated? For some reason when I run 2 instances of cgminer, 1 for my BE's and 1 for DB thumbs, my laptop will crash. Not an issue with the laptop, it has been running for over a month with cgminer for the BE's and stratum proxy.
Haven't got one yet - I'll probably be visiting him soon Smiley
So I've no idea what's required to make them work.

https://github.com/drillbitsystems/cgminer/releases/latest

That's a link to a forked version of 3.8.1 that Drillbit came up with, that might help to speed things up a bit. Smiley

Hoping for a mild fall with Peercoins.
223  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: November 25, 2013, 07:20:03 PM
I have a couple of questions I haven't found any answers to.  I asked a couple times on the other forum, but never got a response.  Maybe I should have started a new thread to ask.

Do the eight chip Drillbit boards have any provisions for hardware and software temperature monitoring?  What are the safe  operating temp thermal specs on the boards?

On a side note...I am a Linux noob.  Could some one help me out by posting a quick guide on how to build the Drillbit modified cgminer source on a rpi with raspbian wheezy?  I've tried doing it the way I do with the main branch, but haven't had any luck getting it to work.

Thanks!

Chad

Not sure exactly what to do with the RPi port, but you might get a better response on http://drillbitsystem.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0

Either that or sit tight and hope Kano and ckolivas put it in the next version of CGMiner ASAP.

How far off until BFGMiner supports the Drillbit thumbs? Just got mine today and want to start running them on my Pi with BFGMiner as soon as possible to keep power consumption down, as CGMiner is too unstable on the Pi at the moment.

Is it dead dead or merely resting?
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin massively undervalued? on: November 18, 2013, 09:54:44 PM
It's more like gold to Bitcoin's platinum. Silver would be Peercoin at the moment and I guess a smaller, more plentiful alt like Feathercoin would fit the description of bronze better.

Go Zombiecoin! Grin
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to fork Bitcoin on: November 16, 2013, 06:31:24 PM
Fork it! Fork it all! You've all gone and forked it up! Motherforkers!
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 16, 2013, 11:35:41 AM
Selling for about $AU5.00 at the moment according to BTCMarkets.net. Far from dead, IMO.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTP RIP 2013 Now about to go to $0.00 Find out why CLICK HERE on: November 16, 2013, 10:30:44 AM
Guess this means I can take advantage of a relatively cheap price and acquire quite a few more. I'm willing to take a risk on the price going back up again.
231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Apple the new IBM of our time? on: November 15, 2013, 07:53:49 PM
Apple is bordering on being a religious cult in its own right. I remember seeing people cheer outside an Apple store when the iPad2 went on sale and found it somewhat embarassing and disturbing at the same time.

May well be an incentive to shift manufacturing operations back to Sydney for a future round as part of quality control.

Considering they were designing it themselves from the ground up with a small team, I'd say they've done relatively well in terms of the overall time frame, along with a forgivable delay due to issues beyond their control.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Bitcoin to fight crime on: November 15, 2013, 02:37:50 AM
Or use the current value of them to buy enough materials to build your own Batsuit and fight crime head on.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 04:09:03 PM

LTC is not dead, it is overvalued.

I'm finding it hilarious, personally.

You are still on Bitcoin forum and thus, even though you are obviously oblivious of the fact, adding to BTC value and subtracting from LTC value.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!  Grin

"We have ways to make you talk, but you have nothing interesting to say."

I'm actually checking both this and the LTC forum right now, does that mean they cancel each other out?
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 03:49:53 PM
at least now i know which bitcoin store not to use. i would never do any business with people who have this kind of attitude. if he for one second thought about the benefits of diversity that can be promoted then he might see how the business can flourish based on many different groups finding interest. i for one would love to do bit of shopping with coins i mine off gpus. for a store owner it would make no difference at all since he can easily exchange alts anytime. i honestly dont see whats the problem here. we should all develop as one and make good example of cryptocurrency community. acting like this dont make us any better than modern day masses made into being competitive and greedy over always deminishing fiat value.

Bitcoin community and this forum does not need you. You need them. It is a leech and host game, not two leeches or two hosts game.

what can you do ? makes us leave? .... oh yes you cant, so sad, meanwhile I am enjoying reading your posts Smiley I have this picture when you are so mad eating your shit.. everyone will read this post will take just a moment to know what kind of a person you are.

I'm finding it hilarious, personally.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are connected with the LTC? on: November 14, 2013, 03:23:39 PM
LTC are connected to greed and MtGox Smiley
MtGox are incompetent, nothing more.

you guys are really pity, I mean  you are the bright ones who invested in the best coin and you are saved, but you still come here and cry about Litecoin, you know I find the psychical part of it amazing.

This is Bitcoin forum, dumbass. You came to our piss-yard, not other way around. I and many here would be very thankful if you LTC people
stop coming here and keep LTC debates (including "developement", what next Bitcoin exchange might add LTC and so on) at your piss-yard.

You arrogant worthless incompetent leeches are soooo lucky that theymos is owner of this forum. I would not tolerate you for a second more.

The arrogance is strong with this one.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E FTC Delisting Scam on: November 14, 2013, 03:11:50 PM
Crypto-Trade is a good alternative and more trustworthy, IMO.
240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Opinion on the US on: November 14, 2013, 08:33:58 AM
I don't suppose it would be a matter of time until a third political force start to challenge both the Republicans and the Democrats?
