They are very different from each other but the very profitable strategy for me is holding because you will just hold your cryptocurrency over the time and you just need to do some understanding in the chart of the cryptocurrency and that is how you are going to plan your exit in the market in long term basis which means that you have a lot of time to feel the maximization of the profit.
Holding bitcoin may better after all than trading it if you are just too emotional when trading. If you are really serious in learning it then it would better to do it now when the price is not that high so you wouldn't be that furious when you have a loss. Just think of your losses as a tuition fee to learn more and be better with trading because you would get it back again when you are already familiar with the market and you have a strategy that would help you in achieving your goals. |

Yes, I totally agree that the postponement creates another panic causing the price to go down again. Those speculators who get into the picture thought that it might be approved but since they consider this delay as a negative news, they sold and newbie traders panics again. Its really a disappointed and we are back to square one again waiting for another positive news that can help us get the price again above $7K-8K.
ETF is the one people anticipating to break the bear market but unfortunately the decision has been delayed which is a strategy perhaps of those people who wanted to buy back cheap coins and some who wanted to short the market. It has just been delayed but not rejected though that's why people shouldn't panic like that. Nevertheless, this is a lesson that once you have profits, you should consider taking some or all of it to secure it because crypto prices is just too volatile that one moment you are in profit and with just a blink of an eye, you are at a loss. |

I will choose both. Because both are different from another. The tools used in trading in stock market is similar to crypto, but then they are both different asset. Stock market may be stable, while crypto is starting, I believe crypto is the future.
In terms of trading, I would like cryptocurrency more because of its volatility and I need a little amount to trade whereas in stock market, it is somewhat stable so I would need a bigger amount in order to have massive profit from it. It may be better to trade in stocks if you are conservative with what you are trading because at least it is legal and backed by government and cryptocurrency is not backed by government yet. I would like to invest in both though because I would like to diversify my investments. |

Well, expect big from the nation which is one of the super power of the world thru their military and economy, that they have also their own version of advance technologies that far superior than other nations in the world, that if China survived of having their own internet and websites, then how much more in crypto currencies in which they have ensure that all investments are purely legal and purely will benefits the Chinese people?
Well, they are successful in having their own version of those famous sites because they don't want to just adopt something but they wanted to make their own. It would be the same for cryptocurrencies as well that they wanted to isolate it because they wanted to control their people. Price went down again due to the news of delayed ETF that would be announce again next month. As for your judgment of being not our year. It's too early to judge OP as we are still on the 8th month and many things are still unfolding. Who knows what bitcoin will do again this year. Many are surprise about the shoot up last year when bitcoin made thousands of dollar gains in just a few days. You just have to continue taking advantage of the fluctuations and accumulate more coins. |

I can relate with you OP. Way back December, I am holding a coin that is worth $2,000 and it is from airdrop! I became greedy and I waited because maybe the price would go up some more and then I watch it go down until now it is just worth $20. I am just disappointed I didn't cash it out during that time so for now, I am just waiting for it to go back up as the developers are still active. The market sentiment during this time is not that encouraging though. |

There is no stupid decision, if you own your bitcoin then you have the right to do whatever with your bitcoin don't listen or do what others say you to do, it is your bitcoin so you decide how to do with it.
How can it be a stupid decision if you are just following your trading plan. What's stupid is letting others control you and act base on their own opinion. Do not be persuaded by others and letting them get to you. I think the advantage that makes me interested in trying to invest in the cryptocurrency world is that cryptocurrency can be used as an asset in the future, even though we have to be patient to be able to enjoy the results, but at least cryptocurrency can be used as an opportunity and can be used to earn side income besides salary when we work. No, but really new people are always welcome because they widen the "society" around crypto and make it more "every dayish". new people or new investor can create new demand in to cryptocurrency market.and it can bring positive impact to bitcoin price.old investor that usually weak hand can replace with this new investor that maybe has stronger mental and psychology. Even though there are people who will decide to leave the cryptocurrency market for good, there are still new people coming in every day that would be an additional demand to the crypto market. They may decide to leave when they realize that they cannot profit from it eventually but if they know how to manage their investments then they would stay. It all depends on what you're are holding. It may be wise to be worried if your assets doesn't have any price stabilization quality.
Not all tokens would rise during a bull run.
Always be updated and do your own research.
If you are holding coins that has been rising when bitcoin rise then you shouldn't worry that much but if you are holding coins that are new and you don't know yet how they will react to the next bull run then better be prepared and always have a plan as to what you will do. If you can still have a stop loss then just do it and then buy back later on as you don't know yet what will be its reaction when the rising of prices comes. If the team is active and then you shouldn't worry that much but if it is clear as day that the project is abandoned then better sell what you are holding and buy something that has good fundamentals. |

It is clear from vitalik's statement that etf and mass adoption both were must to progress big. Etf could pave path for the investment from large scale investors, and causes immediate price pumping, while the adoption in the low level common people will cause a gradual rise and this is quite strong and never required for the dependence over etf.
ETF would be the way to call the attention of some people and it will cause the pump then and then the price would be sustainable if those retail investors would join in. For now, it is dipping and maybe it is just getting ready for the incoming run then. We should just always plan our trades and have some target prices so that we can secure profits. We need a catalyst because some people got discourage of the previous bear market and for the people to join in again, they should see the price shoot up and get their trust again. |

Having bitcoin in your cryptowallet is really a tough and challenging one since rise and fall of its market price is inevitable. HOLDING is the key to become successful and even applying the most basic and effective of all strategies of investment which is buy low, sell high.
It is the most basic strategy but more often than not, the opposite is what many of traders are doing because they cannot avoid being emotional. There are times as well when you are forced to sell low when you just have to cut your loss but later on, you will just have to buy low and sell high again. Patience is really the key but it takes time for you to really have a good grasp of being patient because we want something to be fast. If you don't know how to be patient then trading will not work for you but investment may work. |
