222  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [S9] brand new S9 not working on: December 12, 2017, 01:08:17 PM
Relax bro, I'm certain you have just configured the miner wrong.

If you want to test worker settings you could try to mine for a second on my account.

Pool: stratum.kano.is:3333
Workername: torepia.test
Password: x

Keep in mind: You need to wait for about 10-20 minutes before the S9 will actually start working and show data under "Miner status" page.
Refresh the miner status page every minute until you start seeing updates in the "Miner status" page.
When you see data on the status page, and Pool = Alive, then you know it was just a miner config error, and you can configure it to mine on your own account!

The errors in the kernel log you are seeing is NORMAL! Smiley

Cheers!

Thanks for answer , will try but i let the antminer settings at 1st and wasnt working to.other antminer i have (not sha256) dont take 20min to start and this one restart fewly
Think i will had cgminer release then

224  Bitcoin / Mining support / [S9] brand new S9 not working on: December 12, 2017, 09:34:09 AM
Hello friends , as the luckiest guy (<-joke) i got 1 S9 today , just plug it (ever got antminers)
enjoy the noise of fans and then nothing in miner statut ...

the miner fans is go slowly like normal way , the green light is on (normal) and then fans gone crazy again , and again ....
like restart ... very unhappy, i feel sick  ...

Guys.  I'm setup with zpool with 6 D3's.   Running around 17/GH each.   What diff should i be running?   Im showing roughly 20/GH total on Zpools dashboard.  I'm totally lost.  Thanks for the help.

zPool shows the exact setup for a D3 on their home page with the dif of 92

"Bitmain D3 Settings:
URL: x11.mine.zpool.ca:3533#xnsub
Worker: <WALLET_ADDRESS>
Password: c=<SYMBOL>,d=92"

I have always used them as my backup to nicehash and since the hack they have been having issues with the pool since there are so many new users. I get a pretty close match on the hash reported.

How much do you make with zpool in 24h? Zpool had a history of taking 20% hidden fees before, so i am afraid of using that pool, i have prohashing as my backup pool.
dont worry it s only 15% hidden now ...

Hi Folks!

Absolutely the same stuff I'm having now with my L3+ too.

I had a well working L3+, then by mistake flashed it with D3 firmware (instead of different ASIC device... to fix the "x" issue solved in the 20th of November 2017 formware for D3). After that I immediately re-flashed back to the L3+ firmware but got what i got, Zero chips on each of the four hash-blades...

I tried all the stuff including Micri SD image as did here and the same it didn't help.

I also need this suggestion on which hex file to take and from where (the path) on the correctly working hash blade from another L3+. So I "ssh" the L3+ and should "scp" the file ?? to the same location on the malfunctioning L3+ (do that for all 4 blades) and then reboot. Cirrect? Which path to the file then guys?

Please help.

Thanks,
Egor

I had the same issue with my L3+. Mistakenly updated with D3 firmware. I was able to bring it back to life with PICkit 3 and hex file from another L3+. Many thanks guys!!!

Happy to help man , please share the file to flash , i will edit 1st post with different solution later Smiley

unfortunatly no , it seem to stop here , and seem in default cause fan are running 100% , but no redlight on front
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Issue new antminer l3+ on: December 08, 2017, 11:20:44 AM
I am currently compiling a custom L3 firmware version for you guys. It tries to force flash the PIC's on the board. I really have no clue if this works, but I do have hope it can bring your L3's alive.

there you go:

WARNING: Don't flash this to anything else as a bricked L3(+) caused by flashing a wrong firmware version, as this might harm a working L3(+).

let me know if it works / post your kernel log if it doesn't  Wink

thanks , just receive your MP , will try it now Smiley

edit : after reboot fan go 100% permanent even if low fan is checked, logs seem to stop after board detect and not flash ,
overview got : Hardware Version   Socket connect failed: Connection refused
SD card could be better ?

It;s prohashing related. I actually found what's the problem so it will be fixed in the next release
ok , fine Smiley

As Nicehash is down, my miners lost in DevPools I think. They don't use 2nd pool or 3rd pool, which both are alive, last seen there 6 hours ago. Attached kernel log can say more...

It worked perfectly normal as what I see from your log. It switched to your 1st pool after nicehash went down. Of course it switches to the dev pool every 2 hours (the last line).

Blissz, check picture in the same post, last seen alive, last column on miner status...
Fact is at the time of kernel save was not mining Nicehash(normally, down) but not MiningPool either, which was 2nd alive pool. Still, miner showing 18 k Gh....where??

I see the picture now and the LS time is strange... I will have a look at it

edit: nevermind I checked your kernel log again: you're not on the latest version. This is a known bug on v1.01 (see the changelog). Please upgrade to v1.1

i'm in 1v1 , and i seem have this sort of issue to, dont come back auto to pool 0 , at least with prohasing in priority ... when i restart miner it connect again

Hello,

I activated today in my new antminer l3 + but I have the exact same problem, it does not recognize any Hashboard.

I opened ticket to bitmain. (*the product is new has never been used.)

how did you solve this problem?

Thanks

*I can not open antminer because I lose the guarantee.
bitmain will told to open , and sent them hashboard ... where come from your miner ?

"We need your financial support. As you already know, we are a non-profit team, but some team members without whom the project will not be done , will not work for thanks. Likewise, we need to get more D3's for ASIC designers, developers and for an Alpha test with reliable statistics. At the moment the project is funded by us. That's why we need your donations now, so the project can go further."

Hi!

I installed Blissz firmware in my d3's and I made a mistake copying the cgminer archive from /usr/bin from one of the d3 to an l3+ I have too.

Of course it started up in the l3+ with the --scrypt param but it didn't mine anything.

I flashed my l3+ to stock again but now it doesn't recognize any of the chains on my l3+!

I'm begining to enter in panic! Could somebody help me with that? What should I do?

I think is because some additional files created or some script running in parallel with cgminer. I don't know really but that file is the only I changed "trying to not touch the filesystem" :S.

By the way, Is there any plan to make a firmware for l3's? It would be nice! on d3's are running amazing.

Thanks in advance.

BLISSZ  .....

Can you please help us....
There are many more  who did this....;(  Angry  Shocked

Please give us a hand...

Bitmain sent me a replacement control board for free. Even thought I said it was my mistake and put the wrong firmware on it. From opening of ticket to delivery it was 7 days to the UK. Not bad shame the rest of the business couldn't be that smooth

control board will not change nothing , i try with an other one , hashboards are fail , i ever told taht

@Blissz please answer to mp Smiley

, I succefully install everything , and actually sync the chain from node.js launch ... i fastly put an exchange wallet adress , how can i set up a new adress with private key with linux shell ?
dont find the wallet commands ...

Thanks,
Egor

need to plug programmation stuff in 6 holes on the right of eeprom texas , and extract hexa file from a working l3+ hashboard, then flash it manually on the fail board $

and share the hexa file for some of us have only one fail l3+ but no other to fix Smiley
