221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: November 08, 2017, 03:24:03 PM
China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.
We are not definitely dead without China but China is indeed a big contributor to bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as well. But i wont believe that all of the China's cryptocoin holders could have really sold their coins. The sudden fall on price can also be attributed to those who have panicked about the news during the past few days. Maybe some real chinese holders are just laughing right now because othe nationalities are selling while they are still holding and buying.China is helpful also to us.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Increase in value or decrease? on: November 08, 2017, 03:17:07 PM
Hi guys, i'm just a newbie here. I've been curious on how the value of bitcoins increase and decrease through time. Is it because of the investors coming in for bitcoin? Are there ways that we can predict this? If yes, how? And in addition, what do they mean by forks? Are forks bad? My friend told me to sell my bitcoins before forks happen. Should I follow this?

I'm sorry for giving a lot of questions since i've been very interested in bitcoins and I really want to try to put an investment on this. I've been reading a lot about bitcoins and i've seen records from 2013 $7 bitcoins to now, $7000btc
The value of the bitcoin is both increasing and decreasing.Base on my opinion the fork is always bad. Any money likes stability and predictability. This bitcoin can't provide. Many people may disagree because after every fork they get free coins. But I think that it is a very small compensation for the loss of image. To sell your bitcoins you need now if you need money urgently. In the future it will rise in price. It is essential for you to invest in bitcoin.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people attract for the BitCoin than other crypto currency? on: November 08, 2017, 03:11:29 PM
Please give your opinions.
People attract for the bitcoin than other cryptocurrency because bitcoin is quite helpful to many people. The support of the people to bitcoin compared to the other coins is growing fast, its reputation is growing fast. This just means that the price can also grow fast. The hype for bitcoin will continue. Bitcoin led the crypto currency world. It is the fastest growing coin, a great asset means a great profit for many. Bitcoin has already helped so many people especially in their financial needs.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is making this world a better place? on: November 08, 2017, 03:04:07 PM
They say, money make the world go round. Without money nothing will move around.

Money is key in building any human civilization and bitcoin is more than just a money, it's something bigger.

Do you think bitcoin value and speed will help change the face of our current civilization for good? Share with us what you think... thanks Smiley

Yes bitcoin is really making this world a better place, I think bitcoin will change our lives deeply. Maybe our life will be more convenient, and the communication with the world will be more smooth. Bitcoin is valuable. It's the bridge that links us.Bitcoin has really helped so many people.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: November 08, 2017, 02:57:59 PM
I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.
If you are worried about the future of the bitcoin.Nothing to fear or worry about the future of bitcoin. All that's happening with bitcoin is positive and till date haven't shown any signs of destruction. If it is towards the end, now the entire technology advancement should have come to an end without new usage implementation. Bitcoin future is really good.

227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoin is more secure than investing in gold ? on: November 07, 2017, 04:36:18 PM
Is investing in bitcoin more secure than investing in gold ?
If you invest a lot of money in gold where to put it to be secure ?
In Fort Knox may be is secure. Or may be not ?
http://www.4thmedia.org/2013/04/16/federal-reserve-refuses-to-submit-to-an-audit-of-germanys-gold-held-in-u-s-vaults/
Yes investing in bitcoin is more secure than investing in gold because for now of course investment in gold is safer, but maybe for the future investment in bitcoin is more profitable and safe (not just bitcoin but depends on cryptocurrency ). What makes people think now if investing in bitcoin is not safe because you know for yourself that bitcoin is not controlled by anyone and the price is fluctuating. Essentially it all depends on your own decision for now.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: November 07, 2017, 04:27:21 PM
Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.

I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?

I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!
You should invest in bitcoin now and do not wait for a while, do not waste your time. It's never to late to invest in Bitcoin . I am a person who believes that one day one Satoshi will be equal to one USD so it's never to late in invest . But you have to be fairly rich already to make huge profits from Bitcoin. Better is to earn Bitcoins rather than buying and waiting for a long time.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin falling again on: November 07, 2017, 04:06:08 PM
OMG, Bitcoin falling again, current price = 3866USD.
What happen? we losing money every hours. Need exchange BTC to fiat?
Who can explain this situation?

There are so many reasons why bitcoin is falling again. It's never to late to invest in Bitcoin . I am a person who believes that one day 1 Satoshi will be equal to 1 USD so it's never to late in invest . But you have to be fairly rich already to make huge profits from Bitcoin. Better is to earn Bitcoins rather than buying and waiting for a long time. It is really not stable.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: November 07, 2017, 04:00:21 PM
Is it better to get BTC via mining or buying now?

It was no longer profitable early this year for mining. However, with the recent price surge, does mining becomes profitable now?

If yes, any suggestion? There are quite many cloud miner in the market.

Thanks.
Bitcoin mining and buying is both useful and helpful. I would prefer buying than mining sir because it does not require a lot of your time and money because in mining you need to focus your time most likely every time you need to stay tuned and be active on the internet while in buying you just to monitor the price you said it yourself the price surge if that would be case then isn't the appropriate time to buy bitcoin because you never know the price could surge again .
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which is the best for bitcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 12:07:28 PM
i am new here ..But donot inderstand which is the best wallet for bitcoin. I want to know which online wallet is the best for bitcoin and which wallet fees is low .
The best for bitcoin is that it is able to get so much money using the bitcoin, This has been asked many times, you can find 50 topics with the exact same question. No one can tell you what is the best wallet as nobody knows what do you prefer, and nobody knows what kind of wallet you prefer. You should search what are the different types of wallet and then identify what you like most. Then choose a wallet according to your preferences. Bitcoin is the best of all.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ? on: November 02, 2017, 12:00:57 PM
i was thinking about the Bitcoin and it's Future in Banking . can it remplace money in transactions ?
Yes bitcoin is the future of banking, if bitcoin replaces fiat money completely I think it can not, we know for ourselves to use bitcoin we must have internet access and other devices that can support and also bitcoin prices are not stable, we also know not all places can get internet access, and bitcoin also has no physical form, I think bitcoin is more suitable for long term investing place. Bitcoin has a very good future.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: November 02, 2017, 11:46:25 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

i agree with this and i believe that bitcoin is the key to end unemployment although not all people can do bitcoins and not all has a knowledge to operate the phone, computers, laptop to access the internet and apply for online jobs that pays in btc. some countries mostly the poorer ones are still doomed to poverty and unemployment problems unless the government can provide them a free gadget and free training about bitcoins so that they can use it to work  online.
yes bitcoin really becomes an aid in able to eliminate the rate of unemployment in our country. Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. In bitcoin many lives are changed and many people are able to earn so much money.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is the Year for Bitcoins.... on: November 02, 2017, 11:40:13 AM
I was browsing for news in bitcoins last week when I got intrigue with this title in an news article.  In deed, the biggest test for bitcoins in this year for there are a lot of scares with its operations.  There has been issues with its legal basis as China and South Korea has halted their exchange operations.  The all time low bitcoin value then the sudden increase of its worth... It has been a roller coaster... but thankfully it survive and here we are...
Yes 2017 is the year of bitcoins, because in this 2017 many people are already using bitcoin , I agree to you this year has a great influence to bitcoin industry, 2017 gives so much opportunity to bitcoin users there are many flactuations happen in the past months but they all lead to one thing its the value appreciation of bitcoin like never before. I think that because of this the trust for bitcoin increases as well as the investors take all the opportunity to buy bitcoin when its low.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends? on: November 02, 2017, 11:34:19 AM
Some people like the Brazil Central Bank Chief called Bitcoin a Bubble & Pyramid Scheme, how can the bitcoin industry prove this wrong and make sure bitcoin never ends but grows bigger?
We can make sure that bitcoin never ends because I think no one knows the future of the bitcoin if will going to last or not but i believed bitcoin will going to last forever because of the hardship experiences that we have gone through like China ban, JP Morgan, the segwit and many more plus the increasing number of nations that adopting the bitcoin but we need to share our part too by continue to support it and keep it sharing to the people. Bitcoin is supported by so many people that is why it will never ends.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: November 02, 2017, 11:27:56 AM
i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  Huh
I think no, buying and holding bitcoin is not the only way. I feel that it's definitely better for you to use fiat to exchange Bitcoin if you are just going to buy one and miner to mine. Apart from that would bring your profit to however much you want but do note that mining difficulty do increase so a constant calculation might not work.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: November 02, 2017, 11:20:33 AM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
Yes bitcoin is an asset and also a currency, I can say bitcoin still functions as a currency and an asset. At first, the main purpose of creating bitcoin is to use it as a digital currency, bit due to its value that continue to rise over time, people consider  it as an opportunity  to gain profit. So that how it begins to be an asset. On the other hand.
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin price increase or decrease? on: November 01, 2017, 04:26:06 PM
We see sometimes bitcoin price increase or decrease. How I can predict whether bitcoin price increase or decrease.Again, who controll this price.I appreciate if you kindly share your experience.
You can predict bitcoin price of increase and decrease because I guess no one control the increasing and decreasing of bitcoin price, so no one can predict it. Maybe we just need to be updated on every news about things that may affect currencies prices, because for me a certain action done by a person or a group can affect bitcoin price if their actions are related to the digital currencies world. By that you can predict the increase and decrease of bitcoin.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoins on: November 01, 2017, 04:16:02 PM
In future will the banks be able to exchange bitcoins?
Now we are exchanging from traders...but when (if) the popularity of bitcoin increase a lot then the traders will not be able to exchange such amount of bitcoins...so what about the future of bitcoin?
The future of the bitcoin I think is really good . I think in the future banks around the world use bitcoin for transactions between countries. Perhaps moreover all countries use bitcoin as the official currency, so that every transaction can be done quickly, but many countries are not familiar with bitcoin and its technology. when that happens, it will become a new era in the world economy and finance. The bitcoin has a very successful future as I look at it.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If people stop buying bitcoin on: November 01, 2017, 04:11:14 PM
What will happen if people just stop buying bitcoin? Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?

How will the market value react to it, people wanting to sell bitcoin but there is no one to buy.
If people stop buying bitcoin, Price of bitcoin will go down as per the representation of supply, demand and price relationship. If everyone would just hold their bitcoin, then economic status will go down. Consuming is part of the economy because the gold or value moves around the economy.Somehow, I don't think that people buying bitcoin because Bitcoin itself is useful as a technological currency or cryptocurrency.
