my GPUs simply come up and report OFFLINE or DEAD, but going back to Scrypt seems to work fine.
Scrypt-N is more intensive and will tax your GPU to the max, chances are that your GPU settings are not stable enough so they keep crashing. It's somthing more than that, because I have several rigs which run scrypt fine. I converted to vertminer and they were all DEAD. I then tried a bunch of setting changes, including removing almost everything and letting vertminer choose the defaults. Still, everything comes up DEAD, even at intensity 8. Switching back to Scrypt, everything runs fine again and I get good hashrates at intensity 20. So, in summary, there is either a problem with how vertminer chooses default values, or with the scrypt-N running on certain brands/models of GPUs. Then it's a RAM issue, how many and what GPUs are you running and how much RAM are you using? One rig has 4x Sapphire 2Gb 7850s and another rig has 4x PowerColor 2Gb 7870s. I don't know if system ram comes into play, I thought all the work was done on the cards, which are attached via 1x powered risers. However, if it does make a difference, each of my rigs (including the ones working correctly on VTC) have a single 4Gb stick. Make one of the rigs 8GB RAM and it will magically work smooth

Only turds mine and buy this, it was known from the very beginning by many posters including me that this chit was instamined on the ninja overnight announcement.
This coin is worthless and devs have dumped their stash and moved to new scams, I mean coins.

cheap VTC coins There aren't any cheap VTC... only about 30-40 coins < 0.00180
|

|
50% of my hashrate is on Vertcoin+MON and the other 50% is in DRK, mining scrypt with GPUs is a waste now.

So seeing as you've demonstrated a wealth of knowledge in the valuation of startups, how would you value the company for the purposes of the IPO? $1 million dollars of course.

Can't wait to see all the Litecoin clones get 51% attacked starting with feathercoin and ending with dogecoin. The next 6 months will be exciting.
LTC can be easily 51%, the reason that the difficulty hasn't reached 20,000 is because it wouldn't make sense for the current people (whoever they are) that are mining with ASICs to put more machines in there because they would simply be competing against themselves.

Where can we observe the impact of asic miners on different coins? network hashrate increase, dificulty change,...
In the 200% increase in difficulty in less than 2 months.

Yep, VTC for now.
I'd avoid X11 unless you use a FPGA
Who's using FPGAs for X11 ?

Guys please just stop, you got played, you lost a lot of money on AC... accept it and move on
move on where? If the next coin could also be a scam coin then ?? keep crying That's your way of dealing a crysis. We are united to salvage the situation and it's our way of dealing a crysis Crysis? You invested some virtual coins in a virtual coin scam, get over it.

I have no idea why the price dropped but I think I should buy just in case.

X13 good, promotion is garbage, the price is even worse.
Should learn about the XBC, WC, BDG. For most miners have a good income. May be relatively large initial investment, but the developers benefit the most from the whole. But also conducive to the promotion.
There should be a plan. Let more people know
+10 Yes, we need a plan..love the coin and the low diff. but at some point we need a plan for the future. +1

Hi everyone,
Just got back from work. I see some of you may not have received payouts from my node (p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk) - I spoke to Erik and will update the scripts later tonight to lower the minimum payout threshold (even though this will result in a slightly higher proportion of payouts being used in fees - like 2% instead of 1%) and hopefully that will get some of the smaller hashers their payouts quicker. I can assure you all the scripts are definitely running, and I have made numerous payouts of both VTC and MON, so it is working, but due to the delay in coin maturity plus the minimum payout theshold, some of the smaller hashrate miners might have to wait quite some time for their first payout.
I'll have to call BS on this, unless the ones that are getting payouts have 50mh/s... I mined in your pool for a few hours with 5Mh/s and nothing, I mean not a single coin came in VTC or MON, check my addresses: VTC: VayQ1YUUjJ2fwMio3VpSSMLL9nTqCoeYNC MON: MPncN5QrbjULVrVVARvfBG8854EUqghM5c I have been mining on stratum+tcp://p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk:9555 since Friday, May 2, 19:19 GMT. That is 1 hour after launch, so almost 20 hours now. So far, I have the following balances: 6.43463462 VTC 10.65941561 MON My hashrate is 2240 MH/s. Is this good? I am new to Vertcoin. Good for you, I posted my address so Boris could check his pool because it has no front end and we have no way at all to know what is going on
