We need this info before you keep going, I'll spam this until you respond:

What's Starting Difficulty?
What's the Block reward?
Are you gonna have binaries ready before launch?

As title says.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestion - Disallow JR members from posting new topics! on: May 09, 2013, 04:45:22 PM
Maybe what we really need is non-imbeciles that support every new altcoin that appears out of nowhere to support rich-quick scheme.

Hint: I'm now converted and I'm one of those imbeciles that jump to the alt-coins.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RoyalCoin - a new scrypt based coin on: May 09, 2013, 04:42:00 PM
it's few hours old, too early to talk about exchanges.

yea a few hours old but yet difficulty is at 12. and almost on block 6000 ummmmmm strange

10 hours is more than a few

ummkay yall have fun

Whats a Trucoin? Can we mine those?

what's kinda sketchy is someone is already trying to sell 17,000 royal coins. At this point in the game I don't even have to tell you what this looks like . we are all smart people here .  this coin is 10 hours old but yet someone has 17,0000  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200142.0

It's very ironic that you are bashing a coin of being "fishy" while you support the biggest scam ever.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm giving it a bit more time.

LOL yea, give it 30 more mins to get him his starting 10k coins then he can say "wow so unlucky after 2 hrs we got our first block  Grin Grin Grin"

1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][ROYALCOIN][POOL][RBPPS] RoyalCoin mining pool on: May 09, 2013, 02:17:51 PM
well the network hash rate is around 430 000 kh/s, gives us a less than 10% chance per block at the moment. Just wait a bit more.

Pool hashrate: 32885 KH/s

Still no blocks.

I think the admin is stealing the first few blocks. Fuck this pool I'm mining solo now.

What's up with all these releases when everyone is asleep in america without prior notice?  Roll Eyes

Could perhaps have something to do with the block reward setup and the fact that they are all launched by moron JR Members for quick profit. Naaaaah...

I know:

Anyway, I know this is another get rich quick-scheme, however from previous releases (FTC, CNC and BTB) I've learned that no matter how much you expose the flaws and scams from these coins, peoplre are going to still buy it.

What I learned from those releases is that you buy early when it's being heavily mined and it's "cheap", few days after everyone forgets how much of a scam the release was and the price starts going up, after a few days or weeks its price is 2x or 4x what it was on release and 1 week after that it duplicates again when it reaches an exchance.

So yea I'm stocking up on YAC

1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAC - The best altcoin up 'til now on: May 09, 2013, 05:40:52 AM
I think the launch was very sudden (watched the thread for days with no updates then next day I woke up and I was 6 hours late) and the main node was too far away from me so had only orphans. Other than that it's the "best" release since LTC I guess.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official YACOIN Orphan Blocks Thread on: May 09, 2013, 05:37:55 AM
About 18 hours mining.  I have nothing special other than 3550k using built in miner w/ command line I am at about 45 confirmed blocks w/ about 8 stales.  I am surprised I am still finding blocks, just did two in the last 2 hours.

Are you in europe?
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official YACOIN Orphan Blocks Thread on: May 09, 2013, 05:10:14 AM
Got my first valid block after 14 hours of mining.

25:1 rate

Well, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Everyone knows that the pump is going to happen, so people will try to hop onto it, creating the pump itself.

Eventually someone is going to lose a lot of money and people will start to just ignore the launches of all these random coins.  If you look at BTC-e these new random coins like ChinaCoin etc are doing much more poorly than NVC or LTC at release.

True, but self forfilling or not, it get's forfilled so I'm happy.

Secondly even china coin is going for 1.64 BTC / 1k, so that's about 50 LTC / 1k, much better than the rate we've seen for YAC so far. Prices have already increased from 13 LTC / 1k -> 20 LTC / 1K at the moment in a matter of hours.

You I saw one thread of one guy buying at 15 LTC per 1K and he got a lot of YAC and I thought he was fukin stupid for giving away his LTC... then I realized what was going on and bought at 16.5 LTC / 1K lol

For those of you who don't realize why there was a flood of coins, and orphaned blocks (For the mentally challenged)

DIFFICULTY LOW

BLOCK EASY TO SOLVE
EASY.

OKAY.
SO.

EASY BLOCK MEAN YOU CAN SOLVE AT SAME TIME AS SOMEONE ELSE.

DIFFICULTY SO LOW THAT MANY BLOCK FOUND IN SHORT TIME

HOWEVER

DIFFICULTY ALSO SO LOW THAT MANY BLOCK FOUND AT SAME TIME

SO ANYONE WITH LOW END PIECE OF SHIT COMPUTER CAN MINE MANY BLOCKS IN SHORT TIME SPAN

THEY ALSO MINE BLOCKS AT SAME TIME, SO MANY, MANY ORPHANS.

DIFFICULTY READJUSTING, VERY FAST NOW

SO BLOCK BECOMING HARDER TO FIND

AND REWARD DECREASING AS DIFFICULTY GET HIGHER

SO YAC GET MORE AND MORE RARE

/thread

difficulty is so low that people with lowest ping to the main nodes get the blocks /thread

Amazes me that 1.8 million of these were mined in like 14 seconds (slight exaggeration but not much).  Despite that, people are CUTTING IN LINE to hand those early miners, likely bot nets, their hard earned BTC.

WHY ?!?  The crypto mania has reached a crescendo with this coin.  FTC and CHN were sketchy but this takes the cake.  CPU only.  WAT ?!
Or, you could actually take a second to realize that difficulty was so fscking low that you could solve a block with a pencil and a piece of paper

yep, that's why huge number of people with better things than pencil haven't mind anything or almost anything but orphans.

I would estimate 1, maybe 2% of miners had problems...

oh phuking really?
