I dont know if its right to post topic like this, but i just wanted to ask is there something we can do to prevent or limit posting of the same topics? While reading on different threads i noticed that topics that were posted are almost the same. I dont know if some are posting these topics because they wanted to learn, are curious, wanted to share new knowledge, or they only wanted to increase their posts. Wherein some of the topics or questions posted can be searched on different sites. Whats also disappointing is that there are some users who reply but are just copy pasting. I observed it while reading replies on local board. At first, i was amazed of the long reply that one of the users posted in, its like a poem, then i found out that it was lyrics of an old song...and thanks for those who report those users who used to plagiarize. Im just sharing my observations. No offense.
If there's duplicate threads then report the new one with a link to the older one and they'll likely be removed. Also report users just copy and pasting irrelevant stuff. It's much easier to get away with this in local boards that don't have many mods who can understand the language. The entire Vietnamese board was mostly just users copy and pasting bits of crap like nursery rhymes to farm their accounts and cheat signature campaigns and it went noticed for quite some time because nobody was reporting it.

2fa is enabled in essence because when someone tries to hack and take access of your account you can lock it via the link in the email you get if it wasn't you. The issue is is that most people complaining in Meta are waiting for their accounts to be restored to them by an admin which isn't really happening. Better 2fa options will be available on the new forum but the email lock is probably as good as we're going to get on this one.

Report the others. What does it have to do with bitcoin? If you're not transacting with bitcoin in some way then it doesn't belong in the Marketplace. Those sorts of threads should just be trashed in my opinion because they're just pure spamfests propagated by bounty hunters.

There is already an authentication email sent once you try reset the password and/or change your email.
A hacker changed my password then my email address with out access to my email. I have sent you an PM with proof of my identity. Thank you Then you should have received en email where you can lock the account. I can't do anything about restoring accounts so you'll need to PM an admin but if you haven't got a valid signed message you might as well forget about it because even accounts with them are taking months to be restored if they're being restored at all.

I really don't think there's enough demand for these boards. Bitcointalk also doesn't have to have sub boards for every possible topic.
I never said that it needed to. But allowing a broader band of topics to discuss instead of lumping everything into a single forum is much better. There are plenty of users to the point where it could be used. Not to mention, there are a lot of developers as well. Being able to discuss code, best practices, etc, would be beneficial. It's not much better if there's not much demand for them. If we have a sub board with only 4 topics in it it's useless and that's why they're only added once there is clear demand. If Off topic was constantly being swarmed with topics about coding or games then there would be demand but at the moment there really isn't.

Someone can tell me what is wrong ? I am trying to recover account for 3 moths+ now. I have a signed message using bitcoin address and no one rersponding to me via PM. Is there any admin that can make this explained and can end my problem ? I dont understand why no one even replayed to my pm saing no, yes, never or anything even replay with only "dot" in msg will be nice...
I've sent multiple messages to both cyrus and theymos about your account and numerous others but if they don't respond or look into it then there's nothing you or anyone can do about it.

Are you sure it verifies? PM me or post it here so I can check. If it doesn't verify or isn't from a valid address you won't get it back or likely even a response.
Yes. If you can post a signed message from that address once verified I'll pass on the details to the admins (though there's no guarantee they will accept it or do anything about it but it's better than doing nothing).
Probably not. Some people use bots or auto-refresh tools etc so it will skew their actual logged in time considerably.

Well it's banned right now.
Wow, I haven't got a clue about this. Then my only guess is that it probably was hacked and banned for something because I definitely haven't done anything that might have violated the rules to slightest extent, and I am dead sure here. Well, at least it becomes clear why I cannot restore the password. Is there any way to appeal? Or it's the lost cause now and even a signed message won't help me because I just have no idea why/how it got banned. Edit: And yes, all last forum posts on that account are mine, but they should be in line with the rules of the forum. I have no idea what it was banned for but you should be able to still try restore access to it, you just wouldn't be able to do anything with the account. Are you sure you got the email address right? It ends in @tutamail.com.

You'll have to learn to sign a message from it if you want it back, but even then accounts don't seem to be getting restored. Also, what was that account banned for? It's not locked as potentially compromised or hacked.

You could use the 'watch' feature at the top right or just bookmark the thread in your browser.

Well, to get a clearer picture you might want to look at whether someone was included before or after leaving positive trust to their "superior". For example, I don't remember exactly when Blazed added me to their trust list but I haven't left them a rating until 06-20-2017. I am not completely sure about my rating on hilariousandco; it may have been posted after I got added which would nullify his case.
It was left after. I added you on July 11 2017.

Did you post the address anywhere? Ones in profiles likely won't be accepted.
No idea. I'm not sure they're getting restored at all any more.
