EDIT: mauvaise idée après réflexion. Voir message suivant.

Genjix you were quite brave to talk in front on those quite "corporate" people. You seemed extremely intimidated but you kept on and you did a good job.
I don't know if those people were capable of seeing through you lack of experience in public talks, but I think at some point some of them were starting to.
Well done. Brave and bold.
But you will need more practice if you want to become more convincing. Keep on anyway!
PS. I so much would like to make a conference too. In english or french, doesn't matter. I'll try to see if I can organize something in Paris.
PS#2. I'm not sure those guys "deserve" to be taught about bitcoin. Why did you do them this favor ?

I just gave the auction's high bid a nice boost!
oh, that's nice.

This is seriously cool. This means I can convert my income into bitcoins almost automatically.
That's a great addition for the bitcoin economy.

I like the part "as long as the name is changed". It's basically the only thing that matters.

What is the procedure exactly ? Should we still warn you first via email before making the wire ? Should we wait for confirmation between the email and the wire ?
Hi, You do not need to do anything. Just make sure your SEPA transfer includes the right comment ("MTGOX xxxx"). If you make a mistake here, your transfer may be credited to someone else. Once we receive the transfer, an email is automatically sent. We check for new transfers every 3 hours. This is pretty cool. Thanks for this service.

Come on guys, gold hits a new record high and bitcoin is getting lower! Current bid is only 224 BTC. You can do better than that! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kitco.com%2Fimages%2Flive%2Fgold.gif&t=663&c=Z5aiJZ0ETvXTUw)

Basically this stuff is to twitter what diaspora is to facebook, except that unlike Diaspora, it's already working (you don't need invitation or anything) ! I guess you can find me by looking for "grondilu" http://rstat.us

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know about this woman, nor had I heard the song "copying isn't theft" before.

What good is it to Alice, Bob or Karl if the bitcoins they are exchanging are not able to purchase anything?
They are usefull to buy things between one another. It's precisely why they exchange bitcoins for.

Err, this isn't how you should build a debian source package.
You should have downloaded the source package. First you need to make sure you have apt-src lines in /etc/apt/sources.list, and then you can simply do:

$ apt-get source bitcoind

Well yeah I had done this, obviously. Then you need to make sure you have the proper build-dependencies installed:

$ sudo apt-get build-dep bitcoind

Then while in the directory you can do the following to build the package:

$ dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc

But I didn't know about that. I'll try.

Why would I object about any team winning anything? I couldn't care less about it. What I'm questioning is you being emotional about this win. Like you said, it's a religion, the religion of nationalism. I think you should move away from it for your own sake.
Sounds very cliché but it's just plain truth.

I just bought two Boston Red Sox tickets from my friend Baer using bitcoins. They really do work nicely for grassroots, person-to-person transactions, and the beautiful thing is you don't need a lot of people accepting them in one place to get started.
Yeah, as I tried to explain here, bitcoin starts to be usefull with only three people.
