it's truly we have some risk when we update the source code, but for long term development, it is good for supercoin.

anyway, let's watch what will happen when first halve happens tomorrow.

hmmm I don't think the halve will occur tomorrow. The halve point is at pow-height = 19200 as per code. We are at
>> nHeight = 69459, nPoWHeight = 17496

now, this means we still have 19200 - 17496 = 1704 PoW blocks to go before halve. This will take about 2.5 days from now and according to the previous speed of the PoW generation (about 700-800 per day).

you are right.

really hope we only have 16 block reward now.

the sum of all these pools hash rate less than 2G

but network hash rate more than 17G
so about 15G come from Multipool.

Well, let's see what happens when block rewards halves tomorrow.
Profitability will be less than LTC so no multipool will be mining it.

Yes, if profitability is less than Multipool, they will not mine it.

otherwise they will keep mine it.

that's the reason why i Support to reduce the block reward to a smaller number quickly, such as 16 block reward.

some times no need to fear change.

Provence if you are running two largest gpu multipools from china why don't you just edit the algo to exclude SUPER. You are supporting super but your wholesale 290x buying customers are putting rods up its ###. There are plenty of other equally if not more profitable scrypt/x11 other than SUPER.

we do not get a bittrex api currently.

but we do not mine Supercoin also, i do not want to ruin Supercoin.

Oh ok sorry I thought that your miners were mining super. Will your miners mine the super multipool when it comes online?

we do not mine supercoin now. but it's truly mining super is more profitable than mining ltc, that's the reason we still some Multipool are mining Supercoin at current blockreward and current price.

f your payout is supercoin, then it's good for supercoin
if you payout is btc or ltc, then it's a disaster for Supercoin.
but we only pay btc and ltc in our Multipool now.

The algo that Wafflepool uses sells the coins as soon as they are confirmed correct? Or do they sell it manually?

they will sell ASAP through exchange platform API
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPER] SuperCoin - Testnet Anon Wallet|POS Superblock| Mandatory Upgrade! on: June 17, 2014, 01:31:56 AM
Once the payout reaches 1-2 coins per block, the PoW blocks will be cutoff and no PoW will be allowed. After it, the coin will become a pure PoS coin. It means no more mining inflation.
512 -> 256 -> 128 -> 64 -> 32 -> 16 -> 8 - > 4 -> 2 -> 1... The end of PoW

Block reward will halve in a day or so from 512 to 256 coins. This is HUGE.
That means inflation drops by half tomorrow. This is a big drop in inflation.
It will result in only 240k coins per day of PoW inflation. (less than 2% per day)
That's already enough to stop multipool affecting the price.

Heck, multipool won't even be mining supercoin due to low profits starting tomorrow. So zero chance!

Then 10 days after, block reward will again halve to 128 coins.
This means only 120k coins per day via PoW! (less than 1% per day)
Then multipool really CANNOT affect the coin price for good.

People who buy at these dirt cheap prices will be glad that they did later.
People who are selling their coins cheap right now will most likely cry later.

hope you are right.

Are your multipools mining supercoin right now? If not, why would other multipools mine supercoin?
They only mine profitable coins right. So being PoW doesn't guarantee that they will mine supercoin.

Anyways, the upcoming block halving is already enough to lower the sell pressure a lot.
Don't look at current trade volumes. What we should strive for is 500+ BTC daily trade volume.
If that happens, the measly few BTC sells that multipool does will have no effect on the price.

mine Supercoin is more profitable than mine LTC.

The debacle shows how surprisingly low level an exchange (or its "owner") is. Such ignorance by an exchange owner on the alt coin codebase. He even brave enough to pretend to be an expert of the domain and to make such ridiculous/false claims, and show how stupid he is before the whole community. What an idiot!

GUYS:

It's time to stop bashing poloniex now. They have issued a public apology and clarification (of sorts).

It will be better to advertise this fact.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652351.msg7319548#msg7319548

I agree we should move forward, but this fiasco caused many people to lose their investment, and the above apology is not enough. They need to give a conclusion of their investigation: is Supercoin good or bad, do they find any issues, if at all? If no issues or no major issues, and since Supercoin was the first in voting list, they should add it to Poloniex, this way they cleared all their mistakes.

But now I don't see conclusions, they have kept the title of this thread, in a very misleading way. This title is translated to "We have rejected a bad coin", but what is bad? Theydid not or can not say anything.

Before this is done, I can't see Busoni's apology is sincere at all. We demand Poloniex give a clear explanation on it!

Agree. Waiting for busoni's reply, and correct that misleading title, the title looks silly to me. Angry Otherwise back that title with your arguments or facts!

+1

they do not realized what they have done to ordinary people.

they also do not know what they have done on Supercoin community.

really fell sorry for this event.

wat eva  people can read for themselves
i;ve wasted enough time already

gtfo noob.

Dev what is status with busoni
I have not got any answer from him, still.

Although Busoni issued an apology (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652351.msg7319548#msg7319548), it is not enough. They need to give a conclusion of their investigation: is Supercoin good or bad, do they find any issues, if at all? If no issues or no major issues, and since Supercoin was the first in voting list, they should add it to Poloniex, this is the only way they can clear all their mistakes.

Their debacle caused many investors to lose money, we demand an explanation from them on the conclusion of their investigation of supercoin!

But now I don't see any conclusions, and they have kept the title of that thread ("Why Poloniex Has Rejected SuperCoin" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652351.0), in a very misleading way. This title is translated to "We have rejected a bad coin", but what is bad? They did not or can not say anything (because Supercoin is a great coin!).

Before this is done, I can't see Busoni's apology is sincere at all. We demand Poloniex give a clear explanation on it!

+1 i agree with this.
