2203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 28, 2022, 06:32:02 PM
There is no law that says bitcoin cannot be accepted as a payment of a service or a product, it hasn't been in a long long time. Just put a bitcoin accepted here and maybe if you want to give discounts give discounts and sell it with that. Then pay your taxes on that income like a regular citizen (even though we do not like to pay it) and you should be fine.

Not that easy because if bitcoin is not legal in your country then for sure it will be difficult for the general public to use bitcoin as a payment method. Anyone can complain to the authorities and he or she may face legal actions against them.

Also, you cannot pay taxes on bitcoin if it's not legal. Things are really complicated as usually people hide the cryptocurrency because they worry that legal action may be imposed on them for possessing illegal currencies.

The amount of "betting" is more than enough because it is not just a sportsbook, it is a different method. I am forgetting the name, I do not remember what it was called, but basically they do it gambler vs gambler type of betting. Which means that they do not put any odds anywhere, how much you wager decides on the odds, so the more we wager the more we get odd changes.

This is usually amazing for the underdog wagerers because it means that something 1.70 in regular sportsbooks could be 1.40 here, but something that is 4.00 in regular sportsbooks could become 12.00 here because of the same reason. So they can't put a lot more other options, with the problem of lacking betting if that is done.

Do you mean that freebitco follows this method of gambling and final odds are calculated once the betting period is over?
This means if more people will bet on a team, its odds will decrease automatically and if fewer people bet on a team, its odds will increase?

So is this model better than the traditional betting model where odds are usually set by the bookies (gambling sites)?
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom Crypto Casino breaking the law? on: March 28, 2022, 03:40:00 PM
So; can someone explain how you get a message upon withdrawal that states
“BTC BALANCE LOW; SYSTEM NOTIFIED” ?
Has anyone else ever faced this issue at Gamdom.com (scamdom for a reason!)

I lost 2.9BTC in a single day play (over £100,000)
They won’t help, even though all other withdrawal requests on all streams (using fake Gamdom owned accounts) send straight to ‘pending’ or ‘queued’

When your balance is low then how can you withdraw from the casino ?

Now, where is your balance?  As you stated, you lost 2.9 bitcoins while playing gambling. You should have known that gambling is not about winning only, you can lose too.

By the way, i can't believe you had 2.9 btc. Can you prove you deposited 2.9 bitcoins in Gamdom  ?
2206  Economy / Gambling / Re: 500 CASINO ⚽️ SPORTSBOOK IS HERE 💰 $100,000 EASTER EVENT 🎰 Wheel & Casino 🎟️ on: March 28, 2022, 02:21:49 PM
Just saw the "re design" of the site and I needed some time to get used to it but all in all, I quite like it as it easier to navigate. One thing that I don't like is that the chat is on the right side instead of the left.
I would move it back to the old position, seems more logique to me.

This design seems good but sometimes it is too dark to play at night in low light. It would have been better if there were day/night mode enabled on the site. Also, it took a considerable long time to load the site, and also navigation took a longer time, maybe it was an issue with my internet or others may share their experience?
2207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: March 27, 2022, 07:24:33 PM
One of the casinos where I gamble have gone totally overboard with their marketing campaigns. They are spending millions of dollars on marketing and to fund this, they introduced several projects to increase traffic to their site. Now, I am not going to say which site it is.... but I guess a lot of people play there.  Roll Eyes

Aren't they wasting their money and resources if they are not focusing on RTP but only want to increase traffic on their site. Due to extensive marketing, many new gamblers may visit their site but the more important thing is how many of them retain their presence on that casino. If people just come, play and never return back, then what's the use of such gamblers and such traffic. A gambling site always wants gamblers who regularly play at their site and become their loyal customers.

He doesn't want to entrust the fund so the ideal would really be someone to be trusted by him. Including the website management and the funds that should be topped whenever he's away.

In that duty, he's free to do anything he wants or if he's too busy and is still in recovery, there's someone to take care of his business for him. But there could also be a bigger reason why he doesn't want to entrust these duties.
Finding that person seems to be the biggest issue he is facing right now. Doesn't mean that this person doesn't exist somewhere in the world but it is not easy. Remember, this place, even though it has been less played recently, is a big casino meaning you are entrusting someone with insane amount of money, maybe millions of dollars.

Who can you trust with that much money? I mean even a person who has built a great reputation for the longest time here, could end up stealing millions of dollars if they see it a lot more worthy. This is the type of money where people could steal, and can live a carefree life forever until they die and that's very difficult to trust someone with that kind of money.

First of all, it's not that difficult to find any trusted person from here or from his surroundings, if he has the will to find them.

Secondly, who is saying that the lightlord should trust all this life savings and give access to all his bitcoins to that trusted person? He could give one month or two months funds to that person so that he/she can manage the two gambling sites. Also remember, gambling sites do generate a lot of revenue, so after two months lightlord may not even need to put his money further. The profits from the gambling sites can be used to pay the withdrawals.
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: March 27, 2022, 05:04:45 AM
This is an expected one, because the ruling government have never participated in any of the interview to give their clear view on cryptocurrency usage. Once bill is passed in the parliament, they won't think of common public. The opposition party requested clarity on the law. For this, finance minister have an explanation stating we're into discussion and the plan is whether to continue if or not.

Has india ever made the crypto legal ? Yes they proposed the 30$ tax on crypto but it was just a proposal. I am not sure how the Indian government will be able to get this 1% tax on all crypto transactions. You cannot just collect taxes if you haven't made the bitcoin legal in the country.
I think India wants to ban crypto but they have seen china and others that banning won't help, so they are using these tactics to create fear among the crypto investors and traders.
2210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto currency Awareness Campaign on: March 26, 2022, 02:52:09 PM
Crypto currency Awareness Campaign is the process of orienting, educating and telling people about crypto currency.

The following agents are used in the crypto currency Awareness Campaign.

1. Individuals: Individual can educate or tell another fellow on crypto on a bus, bar, school etc

2. Bitcointalk.org. In this forum one will be educated on all the aspect of crypto currencies

3. Social media: This is one the large community of communication where people exchange information. Therefore, most people learned and heard crypto currency in this section. Mostly on Facebook, WhatsApp, Tweeter, Telegram, Skype, Yahoo messenger etc.

4. Peer Group: This is one of the influential group that educate, orient and tell their roommates, classmates, treckmates and age-mates etc

5. Informal Education: This section is based on seminars, meetings calls.

6. Radio and Television: at this section, there are non visual and visual presentation on Bitcoin talk

7. Formal Education: This is still on pending in the national education curriculum.

These are the means crypto currency knowledge impacted to people.

The first and easiest thing is that we as an individual spread the awareness about bitcoin to our near and dear ones. There are a lot of people near us, in our family, relatives and friends who are not aware of bitcoin. If we can touch each one of them and teach them about bitcoin to the ones who show interest, i think we will have played a big part in the crypto awareness. For those who show interest, we can ask them to make an account on bitcointalk also to remain updated and to get timely information.
2211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX ruins the true value of Bitcoin on: March 26, 2022, 06:07:27 AM
What is interesting, however, is that despite people supporting Bitcoin they are also supporting centralized exchanges and custodial wallets and all things that are essentially against the Bitcoin standard. So perhaps we could ask whether the people really prefer complete independence. For many years, DExes are left behind by CExes in terms of volume. Moreover, despite compulsory KYC hassles and failing a number of times in the process, centralized exchanges are not losing popularity. Is it only because DExes don't support fiat? Or is it simply because CExes are generally better? Or perhaps people aren't really interested get out of fiat altogether?

People want to use DExes but the decentralized exchanges lack a lot of feature which centralized exchanges offer. If you use uniswap, you will have to pay too much fee  while people can trade the same tokens on centralized exchanges with minimal fee. Pancakeswap has no issue of high fee but often there are liquidity problems. Above all, none of the decentralized exchanges offer stop limit and future trading , margin trading etc. Unless these decentralized exchanges offer all benefits, i don't see people shifting from the centralized exchanges.
2212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of BTC dropping? on: March 26, 2022, 04:54:20 AM
There is no market that only increases without decreasing, it is like a country's economy will have growth and recession depending on a lot of objective factors.
Market correction is no surprise, everything goes as predicted bitcoin hits ATH in 2021 then falls is evident.
Moreover, bitcoin is a long-term investment you should not be too worried when its price drops in the short term. Look at the future, bitcoin is brighter than what you see now.

To proof this point to the OP and newbie traders, bitcoin was at low price when this topic was created and the people sentiments were down as people were anticipating more crash in bitcoins. But now after two week, bitcoin prices are quite high and are sustaining near the resistance which shows that market could take a reversal from here.
This shows that bitcoin market never moves in a straight line, it may dump along the way. We never know, we might see another drop in bitcoin prices before reaching 50K.
2213  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: March 26, 2022, 01:34:38 AM
I discovered that must of the gambling sites, mostly the ones I signed up have no sign up bonus but others gave as I was told.

Because  sign up bonus is very much important to a beginner and also attract More customers to the site.

I know that, there are a lot of gambling sites that gives sign up bonuses but I have not come encounter with them.  If I told someone about a Gambling site. Some of them asked the sign up bonus.

In my location most companies give $10 + while some give $5. Just that most of the bonuses can not be used to play games until you deposit a specific amount of money to add up with the bonus, at that stage, I look at it as a discount.

What could be the possible caused of the companies that are not giving the sign up Bonuses?

First no company will give you free sign up bonuses. You will have to deposit your own money and on that deposit some companies may give you bonus in order to encourage you to make an account, deposit and play at their casino. Also they won't let you cash out immediately but want you to play and wager before cashing out. Of course you will only be able to withdraw if you won the games, usually you will lose and not be able to withdraw anything.

Now why they don't give signup bonus with deposit requirement. The answer is simple. They are meant to do business and they do not want lazy people to make many accounts, play with free money and move on.

_snip_

yes, this is the point!
the house edge plays a huge role when it comes to luck vs skill games

I think the same that knowing the game could give you an edge on sports betting
but probably a really small edge since there are so many variables, what do you think?

The edge depends on how skillful the gambler is, even a small advantage could already make a person profitable. In general, I consider sports betting as a skilled based type of game, but if a gambler does not have knowledge of the particular sports he is betting, or even just a small knowledge only, then it should not fall to the skilled based classification on his level.

_snip_
I would say poker also involves skills because player can win the game even if they don't have better combination of cards by convincing the opponent to give up, and the strategies are unlimited in card games probably a math genius can keep winning the particular games. Cheesy

Reminds of movie 21. That’s the name of movie, just 21! The professor select bright MIT students who are capable of solving maths at an amazing skill sets and teaches them how to play the blackjack. These maths guys are so clever that they can calculate in their back of mind what type of card and pair is going to be their in the deck of card. They study the whole thing while playing the game and keep winning huge amounts of money.

They fly to Las Vegas and loot the Casino like hell man. All of that based on the maths calculation. I am not sure if this is possible with the online casino but if it is then they are rich.

In real life, such miracles does not happen. You cannot win huge amount of money consistently from the casinos as they algorithm won't let you win always. Yeah, sometimes you can win big but it is not on your skill based but usually it is luck based. But don't ever dream of looting the casino in
reality.  Cheesy
Unfortunately Mathematical calculations play a very little role in gambling wins.
2215  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇 Crashino.com 🚀 Provably Fair Crash Games, Casino and Sportsbook ✌ No KYC on: March 25, 2022, 04:41:00 PM
I just finished reading GamblingBro's Crashino review. As always, it was entertaining and informative at the same time. It covered almost everything any gambler would like to know about the casino before to make their mind whether to join or not.
To be honest the 3.4 rating is not bad at all knowing how strict GamblingBro are. They could have gotten a better rating and earn more points by being more transparent about the fees they charge on withdrawals and displaying the RTP on their slot games.

How do they calculate this overall rating of 3.4? I see that they have evaluated different features of Crashino Casino and give ratings. So the overall rating is the average of all of these ratings?
The weakest rating is given on their promotions that is one of five. Also, they are not having any campaign on this forum despite being a decent casino  Huh
2216  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟BITVEST.io🌟 💰WIN BY 🔶PLAY 📈INVEST➡🔺🎲🎰🔲 | BET CONTEST ▄■▀■▄ on: March 25, 2022, 01:22:31 PM
In the end, I believe that we are in a situation where things should be a lot more comfortable for people who gamble here and if he doesn't trust people to control the funds, he could just leave small funds instead of small funds and could allow them to make it happen.
That small fund to be left when he's away is going to be consumed quickly.

We have seen that after filling the hot wallet/s, it's been empty too quick because of the users cashing out their profits and that's why there should be a continuous monitoring on it.

That's probably because people are waiting in queue for the cash outs /withdrawals and as soon as the "Little funds" is topped up in the hot wallet, it gets empty quickly.

Someone just to monitor him and give him the notice that it's on the low level that it has to be refilled as soon as possible so that users won't complain anymore before it's emptied.

The funds are not the problem, the real issue is that light lord is not active. Even if someone gives him notices and he is not active, the problem wont get solved.

They do not respond to emails, in fact they have not answered us for several months. It is serious enough to give a warning to anyone who plays with cryptocurrency.

What are the other associations against them apart from not answering emails. This evidence is not enough to proof anything.

well from what I see it will be very difficult for them to answer:

he hasn't been active for a long time

Right move - I have the blacklisting of them in my list as well, for various reasons, just didnt get to it yet. Will do so hopefully by the end of this week. They kept reaching out to us a while ago in order to be promoted, never responded to our questions about player/investor complaints... only to enquire about promotion a month later.

 Shocked

another complaint, I see that their site is losing good reputation

I can see they are using a Self-moderated thread

and some complains are also being done there recently but i am sure they will delete them due to the self -moderation.
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 24, 2022, 05:59:26 PM
How about this for an improvement: BTC mining vs. BTC possession. Moreover, what is the reason?

In other words, if I had a 40k right now, should I buy a model such as the Antminer L7, for instance? Purchase a single bitcoin, if that is your preference.

Bitcoin mining is not feasible, i will prefer to buy one bitcoin instead of buying an  Antminer L7 and not owning a single bitcoin.  Wink

Moreover, mining requires some technical skills and you need to spend electricity also on mining. If you are living in a country where electricity is expensive, you won't be able to earn any profit from mining. Buying bitcoin is however safe and more easy way to hold bitcoin.
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Afghans turn to cryptocurrencies amid US sanctions on: March 23, 2022, 12:06:00 PM
A report from the BBC told that the Afghanistan government and Taliban's are using bitcoin and crypto as they have no option left after US Sanctions.
Same we see that Russians are also using bitcoins to prevent themselves from the bad effects of US sanctions.

Afghans turn to cryptocurrencies amid US sanctions

Do you think the bitcoin adoption of these countries and the reason for adoption is good for the bitcoin and cryptocurrency growth?
