2201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnest 's newest PACMiC Cloud Mining Contract on: April 09, 2015, 06:59:33 PM
The fact is that.. you won`t lose BTC with PACMiC, even if BTC price hits the ground. You won`t lost IN BTC (`cause you`re trade with BTC currency) so, you could receive your BTC and lost money when you`re withdrawing next your fiat trade // ...then, abiut PACMiCs, it will just take more time to get your returning funds. If BTC your looking for a 90 days refund with profits, and BTC price gets lower, you will receive the same but maybe will be in 110 days. But the return will be the same (proportional to you deposit). It`s a very normal investment.

that is 100% false.  If bitcoin price goes down, then your contract may not complete if it costs more to run the units than the payout.  Read the ToS, they will shut off payments for the PACMiC if it costs more to run than it generates, same as buying any of their other hashing power.  At that point the contract is considered over.

i've switch my miners back to westhash... lately the luck at antpool hasn't been the best and it's has been affecting the payouts...

The luck is exactly where it should be, you can pool hop to try and find and hit the better luck streaks, but trust me, you will end up losing out in the end because this process will cost more than you stand to make.

I have a question about a bet I made tonight.  Here is my ticket...
https://sports.betcoin.ag/ShareTicket/?ticketid=14346
Why did I lose that last bet?  What does total spreads mean?  By the way it sounds, it sounds like the difference between both teams scores, but since I lost it, that apparently isn't the case.  The final score was 7 to 5 royals, so I figured I should have won since the bet sounds like it is the difference in scores.  What else could the "total spreads" mean?

You really need to add a help section or some kind of box next to the bets that shows what you are betting on, because I even googled, "total spreads" and couldn't find anything that explains what that bet is.

Thanks,

DebitMe

i dont bet baseball but looks like you bet over 9.5 for the total and it was 12 so u lost. not sure why you would bet over 7.5 but under 9.5

It was in two different spots.  There is a, "totals" section where for example you can bet on the royals/white sox today to score over or under 8.5 runs.  That was my 25 credit bet.  Then there is a selection below that called "total spreads (incl OT)" where you can bet over/under 6.5, 8.5, or 10.5 on the game today.  Why would there be two different spots for the same bet?  It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, and as such, I thought it was something different.

um, then why do you own bitcoin?

There is no one who can tell you whether it is a good investment or not.  Read what the offering is and make your own conclusion.  I have done the math and determined that I think I can leave my reinvest feature on for another 40 days or so at current market conditions and make a good return.  If your looking for a return over 20% per year in bitcoin land, you will get scammed 99% of the time, if your looking for a 20% return in the stock market, your out of your mind.

Don't get greedy, take the very nice returns that are being offered and make some money on your investment.

I am just information gathering by reading and listening to many opinions "Sarcastic ones I don't need" and thoughts it was just a question that's all I don't need Bitcoins I do it for fun I have plenty of shares in stocks I live off my equity and dividends which I have in intel, AMD, Apple, Verizon Just to name a few. and that's over the past 20 years I kept buying and Investing. Now like I said I didn't get all that equity in stocks by being foolish but by reading asking questions and listening to different people investing and taking notes I never listen to one opinion I always listen to a large group that has the same opinion.

Trust me I can buy out a whole mining farm if I prefer or just buy bitcoin directly without any mining this is just a hobby for me. I don't have to work my bills are already paid I get way more equity and dividends than I need trust me.

I am new to this but I see already when some one asked a simple little harmless question everybody gets offended its the same way in the stock market I am used to it. Honestly that shows me the level of intelligence someone really has.

All I asked is a general question do you guys think its worth it Investing in Pacmia and all I got is a bunch of sarcastic answers which did not answer the question at all even though I pulled a little bit of good info out of it. and then it got worse when I said the BTC DIFF was going through the roof and other comments. You guys should invest in the stock market You guys sound stressed out over bitcoin mining.

I read everything there is to read I am just gathering many opinions foolish or otherwise that is all.

If you think my post was sarcastic or foolish, then I highly doubt you are what you touted in your reply, not that it matters since we could both make up stuff from either side of this conversation until we are blue in the face and neither party would know, and to be honest, I don't care how much money you have or stocks you own, because it doesn't affect my position in the slightest.  A smart investor would listen to those who have done the research (as I have, probably more so than 99%+ of the other people in this thread), and hinted to you my position in my reply.  But as I also said, you have to do the research and not rely on strangers on the internet to give you direction, which seems to be the direction you are taking.

I would also recommend you not, "buy out a large mining farm", and realize I mean no offense, but you probably do not have the technical expertise or know how of how to run one.  There is a lot more work that goes into a mining farm than most people realize, and speaking from a position of running a decently large one, it isn't easy and you can't jump right in.

Reading your past posts, it didn't sound like you understood the concept of the PACMiC and how it worked, especially in relation to difficulty.  Also know, that anyone on here who gives you a difficulty prediction is blowing smoke out of their asses.  As I said before, per my research (and remember, it is quite extensive), I own many PACMiC's, currently have them set to reinvest, and am very happy with the stable returns that I am getting from them.

Can we allow users to purchase hashrate? If they are able to take their bitcoin and turn it into little bits of hashrate and then receive payouts that would be pretty cool.  We could have an account on hashnest that can purchase hashrate or work out some other arrangement, for example, I can host miners.

I will more than likely be buying more shares btw, so if others want in, I suggest you guy in now.

Some kind of error as I got the same payout for the block as the one before it.

its not an error, read about how payouts are determined before posting.

Wow, that is pretty neat.  Being a purchaser of one of his pieces and spending some time interacting with WoodCollector has given me reason to believe that this could actually be true.  Very neat idea, and I wish the 10 lucky coin owners luck when searching for the treasure.
2210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investor from the Fiat-area is looking for bitcoin investment tips on: April 03, 2015, 03:56:27 PM
Go to Bitfinex, create a business account, and provide the 100K as swappable USD balance.  Currently paying around 40%+ yearly interest (50%+ if you factor in compounding interest).  You will make much more this way than just about anything else you can do with bitcoin.  The only other possible way to make this type of return is if you buy bitcoin and the price doubles (in which case buy and hold bitcoin).

can u   have negative roi   with pacmac or is it    guaurantee   +roi/even

It is not guaranteed, if you read the ToS it states that under circumstances where the S5 is not profitable to run, then the contract is cancelled (There are more stipulations and timing issues, so please read them yourself for accurate information).  So if you haven't made the contract price back, you could lose whatever hasn't been paid back.

What were you looking for for the 2 dogecoin coins?

I'm looking for offers. I'm not in any rush to sell these so wouldn't take any offers that are less than what I paid for them.

IDK what you payed for them unfortunately, but I would do around .025 btc ea plus a little for shipping.

Let's not forget their lying streak while leaving trust on this forum.  I still have neg rep from them claiming multiple things they can't prove and have admitted to not being able to prove...because they are untrue.

They stated I was paid by the competition when it is blatantly obvious I was swindled for thousands by them and was just irritated they were incompetent losers.

They stated I purchased an X-1 from them and was refunded, but when asked to show proof of payment, order, and refund on the blockchain, never even got a response.  Probably because it never happened and they didn't want to take the time to fake orders and payments.

Please drop me a PM as I am interested, this sounds neat.  I am curious though on a few things...

You are raising capital for this project and not outright selling it correct?  Are you issuing shares or just taking loans?  I would much rather own a portion of the project as opposed to giving a loan for it.

I assume the revenue sources are ads and commission from signing up at places?  Any other avenues for profit?

What are costs associated with this project?  Monthly hosting, etc...

How much are you looking to raise to finish the project?  Any revenue projections?

Thanks,

DebitMe

Someone please help me understand the concept of the "difficulty" setting.

So far, I get that I have 3 - s3's on antpool with a recommend difficulty setting of 512K.

Next week, when my S4 comes in, I set the difficulty for that 2THS/S machine at something bigger because it is more powerful.  I forget where this is set right now, but I know it is a setting.

Would a S5's be set somewhere in between an S3 and S4?

Does this mean that the S4 is more efficient because it can take on bigger chunks of work?

Is work or shares dolled out according to the level of difficulty?

Does the higher dificulty level of a faster machine like the 2TH/s S4 mean that the machine will remain profitable to operate further in the future?

So far, I've read two "beginners" level books but they do not explain this.  This is keeping me awake at 3:45 AM local time so please help put my mind to rest so I can go to bed!

Thanks,

Tom
If your mining on Antpool, then just go to sleep because the difficulty is set by the pool software with what's called a dynamic diff. You have absolutely NO CONTROL over what it TELLS your hardware is the minimum  acceptable share difficulty.

I understand but is a S4 better than 4-S3's (if S3' ran at 500MH/S)?  Is the S4 going to produce more/faster/better hashing at the end of the day because of the level of difficulty it can take on?  I am also assuming that power is the same.

If your S3's are running at 500 MH/s you have other problems, I assume you mean 500 GH/s.

And share difficulty doesn't matter. It has absolutely no effect on your miners and no matter what they are set at, it should even out in the long run to what it should be running at. But basically, when you submit work, it could be at 1 difficulty, 2 difficulty,3 difficulty... and so on.  When you submit 2 difficulty work, you get twice as much credit as when you submit 1 difficulty work.  When the minimum difficulty is set by the pool, it discards anything under that to reduce load on pool servers.

Basically they all run as efficiently, but your faster gear has a greater chance of finding higher difficulty solutions before slower hardware, which is why it is recommended to use a higher minimum difficulty.

Has anyone received anything from this sale?  I never received a tracking number and still haven't received anything after he said he would ship them the next day on the 3rd.

What a shame, this is looking to be a scam, I wonder if the account was sold or hacked or something.  Giving another day or two before I post negative rep for this scam.
Does anyone have any further information on this guy?

I realize he is a legendary member, but he took my money on the 3rd, said he would be shipping next day, and here we are 2 weeks later and I don't have a package and he hasn't logged on since then.  In that time, the bitcoin price has risen by a little bit, so I would believe I am entitled to a partial refund since I have effectively given him a 2 week loan where nothing was being done on his part.

I have already said he gets a little longer, but I am collecting his information, if anyone has anything on him please let me know so I can contact the proper authorities when I get tired of waiting.  (To me this sounds like a sold or hacked account that the buyer got some use out of it being a legendary member).

I am currently reporting that.  2 weeks since he said he would send the package.  I also don't see anyone reporting receiving a package from him, and he claimed that some of the S3's were sold.

Again, at what point do you guys think this should start to get escalated?  I understand something may have happened to him, but from this point of view, we don't know anything.  I will gladly delete these posts if he comes back and either sends me my money back or I get my package, but at what point do we consider that a scam has taken place?

I would report it now, just to be sure no one makes business with him until you get the items/money back.

Hi there. Work got crazy busy around the beginning of the month, and I haven't been on the forums at all.

DebitMe, Earlier this week I found out that your package had been boxed up, but never shipped. We were in the middle of moving our office and all of our equipment from one location to another, and it got lost in the process. I personally took care of it, and it is in the mail as we speak. I will PM you a tracking number. I will also PM you about working out a refund discount, as you are correct: purchasing equipment and not having it shipped out until 3 weeks later is unacceptable.

I have sold several Antminers to Generalt, and I'm actually selling 4 more tomorrow. Everything listed in the OP is for sale, in hand, at our new office, and this will not happen again. That said, I will completely understand if someone wants to wait until DebitMe receives his package before purchasing anything more.

Again, apologies for the delay and lack of communication.

Hello Sir,

Thank you for getting back on here and making things right and getting that sent.  Please understand I hate calling people scammers when they aren't, and I hope we can put this behind us.

Crazyates has offered me a 15% refund and the items, which I will graciously decline, and as long as the items arrive in the mail, I will be happy.  Thank you for going above and beyond to make things right, I respect that.

Hopefully my items should arrive tomorrow, at which point I will update everyone they are here and remove the previously left negative feedback.  Please note, tomorrow is probably busy for me and it might be later until I am able to take care of everything.

Thanks again, glad your OK, and I appreciate you reaching out to me to make things right.

how much btc or satoshi do i need to have to start mining in this one? Smiley i registered and i like what i see but its a bit confusing - can i start with little money in umisoo?  Huh

Once more, 10% diff growth we re about to face s going to hurt the cloud big time. Think twice whether this is a smart idea.

6% is what I see. Where do you see a prediction for 10% ?

Thats what bitcoinwisdom says, the way the calculate is a little different (although no one can be 100% on the money), but it is safe to assume they are estimating low at this point since they are using block data from before the last difficulty change to arrive at that 6% mark.
