2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 03, 2023, 01:24:49 AM
The are no other way bitcoin adoption will go , it will be adopted by those countries and later on people around it. Maybe other countries still banning it there now a lot of countries adopting it as they knew that bitcoin is helpful to them and also the people around them. As the years goes by people are embracing it no matter what the government action on this as they cant stop bitcoin. I am happy that they use it for sending bitcoin and I am hoping that it will be used also by other countries
2202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I decided to buy some fractions of BTC after discussion with members here on: February 02, 2023, 05:23:10 PM
Most of the people who posted about this here are Nigerian, and I am not shocked that they are one of the countries using bitcoin. You bought roughly $50 worth of bitcoin, and that's huge. It is really memorable to you, and also what most people suggest is that if you accumulate more bitcoin over time, you should transfer it to a cold wallet to make it safe because, in exchange, you don't own it as you don't have the private key on it. But congratulations on your first purchase, and this is your first step toward owning bitcoin.
2203  Economy / Economics / Re: Your way of living the wage what you need to live normal life on: February 02, 2023, 03:04:28 PM
Now I'm 27 years old and I'm planning to get married this year or at most next year, I'm happy because I can work and also pay for 2 people to be a waitress at the fruit shop that I've managed since 3 years, I've prepared a lot of things like saving for receptions and of course preparing funds after marriage, the family of the future wife wants a lively party and of course it takes a lot of money, I hope not to sell assets or go into debt and have a simple party.
It seems you are still quite young too huh. But I also don't think that you can already pay the two employees you put in your shop. I think that's really extraordinary because you have become a businessman at a young age by having two employees who you pay yourself and one suggestion from me for you is to keep your business going forever before it gets bigger because if you stop halfway, you will find it difficult to get back up from the beginning. Regarding marriage, I don't want to respond here, even though I personally have been married for a long time.
Your effort and hard work are indeed great at an age that I think is still young, but you can already manage a business of up to 2 employees. I'm here because I'm already married and I really feel how happy it is when I'm getting married, but for me life after marriage is even more important because we face social life and build a real family, and those who understand the economic position are ourselves, so we hope we can calculate it with carefully, because many family problems stem from economic problems

When we are married, there will be many things that we will rethink, for example buying something usually requires extra consideration, in contrast to when we are not married, we usually never think about spending money. to save money, and when you are married, even though your income is small, you can save money.

I've been married for a year and I can say that the real challenge would start after the marriage. The struggle of marriage preparation and polishing it especially the wedding reception is just the beginning. There are a lot more to face when you both are already living together trying to start a new life. It's a good thing that you already have a good preparation at an early age and since you already know how to manage a business, you should apply it in managing and building your own family in the future. There are still lots of things to decide on after the marriage so you must still be ready to face the challenges.

Marriage is another chapter of your life, so it would be another struggle, but again, both of you will be facing those problems, which will make you both stronger. You will also need financial aspects on it, mostly if you are having a baby and need to take care of it. That is why, before the marriage, you'll need to have savings or money that you can spend. When you are starting a family, the bigger the better, as the future could be secured by it. Also, comparing marriage to business is not that relative, but I would say that if you both endure the pain and also earn success from it, for sure, both of you will be successful. What I only advise is that in every problem you'll get into, both of you should talk about it.
2204  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 02, 2023, 01:07:02 PM
There are two categories of people when it comes to the choice of when to receive payment for work. There is the category that prefers it be paid weekly so they can off set bills as they come so they do not become a burden, while there is the category that prefers it monthly so they can plan well for the month.

If employers put out the option before you to either to be paid weekly or monthly for your job, which will you prefer? Please give reasons asides the ones I have stated to support your answer.

Weekly payments from work are very rare right now, but I think most people want this, as we want money right away. Imagine you can receive it on a weekly basis, but I don't like being paid weekly; I prefer being paid every half of the month or a month long because you can save money and receive a big amount. Unlike on a weekly basis, on a monthly basis, you can really purchase things that you need using your bigger amount. I have also tried being paid every 15 days, which was also good, but the problem with this is how you will budget it with bills since it is not enough, so usually your end-of-month salary will be used for bills.
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: February 02, 2023, 12:11:59 PM
....
Browsing should not be a problem if you have a good internet connection and a good phone. But no matter how good a phone you use it is true that browsing will give a lot more performance than an application because when an application is installed it resides in RAM and ROM and when one browses a website it is done through a third party browser.  Either way it will definitely work much slower than an app so it's true that apps are always better than browsing.
Yeah, of course it is, but still there is a difference when viewing through the application and through browsers in full mode. All the same, the screens of mobile smartphones are too small for comfortable viewing in full-screen mode. Even taking into account the ability to enlarge fragments of the site image with your fingers. Then other data you need on other fragments of the full image may disappear from the field of view. And do not forget that almost all the inhabitants of the planet have a variety of vision problems. And not everyone can work at a computer at all. And even some people have difficulty using smartphones.
I want to say that the question of the convenience of different options for viewing gambling sites because of this is very very individual.
I agree with you because when someone goes to browse something in mobile screen, they don't get it in full screen mode, and due to weak internet connection, many times when browsing, the site lags or hangs if the site is not fully loaded, so it feels very annoying.  But in the case of applications, the interface of the site is loaded immediately after the first visit, due to which the site does not get overloaded even if the internet connection is weak, and there is less chance of site lags or hangs.

There are still casino websites that are fully optimized so that they are easy to navigate and are also mobile-friendly, though internet connection is a really big factor. Even though you are still using the app, you are still having difficulty accessing those features if your internet is slow. The only problem with having an application is that some low-end devices can't run it fully because it is lagging on their end. Most of the websites are also now getting PWA, which they don't develop apps on as it already plays its role, and they can only maintain their own website, which is less work since in an app you'll still maintain APIs and compatibility.
2206  Economy / Economics / Re: Hope for cryptocurrency in Nigeria. on: February 02, 2023, 10:47:02 AM
Positive approach from the government. The country that have got good number of cryptocurrency users, and still without proper stand from the government is really a mess. One side the government is showing its interest on making cryptocurrency legal and lift the ban. On the other side through its CBDC launch the government is trying to keep things under control.

Our leaders do most things that favours them. They see crypto as a way most youth can make way to become rich. This bann was made out of their selfish interest.

well, we can't avoid such fact. politicians will always side their selfish interest even if they do not fully understand the market. but i believe, some of them are secretly hoarding some top coins. who knows, right? most of these politicians are two-sided face.  they want a different image in front of its people but they are doing other things behind the scenes.

There is speculation that some of those politicians hide their wealth in crypto because it will be hard for the people under the government to track (as they know less), which is why they are taking advantage of it. Also, I think most politicians have a bad side, and only a few of them are good, but we can't really tell the truth as only speculation can be read. If there are no corrupt politicians, then for sure people will be happy as they can easily receive help from them, and also the economy will boost. but the sad truth is that it is not.
2207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A reminder to all new Bitcoin investors on: February 02, 2023, 09:38:50 AM
It made me think about this, which is true of a lot of things that try to bash and stop bitcoin by making it illegal or banning it, but still, it continues and stands. Also, we can see that this is a great innovation, and most of those outdated ones are scared that they will get lost because of this innovation. It is not only for the new adopters but also for us oldies, as it is some sort of meme that we can laugh at, which is true. This is also a good marketing strategy for bitcoin since newbies will now buy bitcoin.
2208  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 02, 2023, 07:39:11 AM
Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.

It's and I have experienced it first hand, I had a friend who was a serial loan taker, he takes a loan just to pay another loan and this circle continues and now he's in a debt that he can't even clear in years to come and that's exactly why I avoid borrowing this kind of people money instead I just give them whatever that I'll be comfortable if they can't pay back. It's circumstances that make people take loan but there are people's that are now addicted to it that it becomes a habit.

Loan is always easy to collect and when its time to pay back, if you don't properly plan and strategies yourself you will become a debtor in all angles. I usually take loan whenever i know am in an emergency case and not only that also when i know i can be able to pay off within the period given because if you fail to clear off the pressure sinks in you and some people tend borrowing more loans just as you have stated to clear off and that entangles you in a loan circle.
Noteits better to always consider what the money collected is used for because if its for pleasure, you obviously can't pay back

That is the purpose of loan for emergency and there are things that needed to purchase but others are using it for their wants that is why some people can't pay it back because it was too expensive or its to big to payback. Having loan is not pleasurable also as you always thinking it everyday mostly if your salary is not enough and also you need to cut expenses to give way of your loan. We should stay away from debt as long as we can
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My greatest fear about Bitcoin Halving. on: February 02, 2023, 05:11:39 AM
That is really the point of view of the new holders right now because they think that in the past halving there are really new ATH which is why most of what I've known right now are starting to save money and buying Bitcoin. Though we should also understand the risk because the possibility of the price of the next halving would drop instead uptrend that is why we need to prepare also for this. Let's just see what will happen, i dont expect new ATH i do expect small bull runs or just green days unlike the previous year
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: February 02, 2023, 04:04:41 AM
That is to say that the game is not interesting then, personally, I've never heard of this kind of game, and neither have I ever watched it, and when I came across this topic on this subject here, it looked really awkward.
I think several people out there are finding ways to come up with something new, it is the same in every sector and not just in gaming, but I think the idea of slap league is the lamest I've come across, the title of "Slap league" isn't even interesting and is enough to turn a serious minded sports person off.
This kind of game is not really that interesting, however it is a popular game at parties when people are drunk as alcohol numbs their senses, so it seems to me they are trying to take advantage of this popularity and trying to make it into an official sport, but this will be a challenge, as something could be interesting to do with your friends but you will not waste your time watching someone else doing it, especially since there is not much to watch as once you see someone receiving a slap you have seen pretty much all what this league can offer.
the very moment I have watched this event years ago? I felt it is not necessary to become a sports nor even to exist because this degrade the respect of people towards each other.
because in the past? we knew that slapping one person meaning you are trying to have a fight for last man standing.
but now they are just letting people have this like it is funny and enjoyable?

Most Russians are enjoying this kind of sport, they said, but it is gruesome to some like me because there is no chance that you'll evade the slap; you are just depending on the power of your opponent's, and you'll also get blood or make your face hurt for sure. though there are a lot of people watching it right now. But before I saw it, it was kind of funny because it was just for fun, but later on, when it got competitive, it got worse and bloodier.
2211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First thing i will do if Bitcoin become legal tender globally on: February 02, 2023, 02:56:16 AM
Bitcoin, regardless if it’s globally accepted as a legal tender or not, we can always use bitcoin as a currency but only to those limited stores who accept bitcoin payment.
I believe you said this because you're not from the geographical region where the government publicly places a ban on Bitcoin and any crypto-related transaction because from such region no store publicly accepts Bitcoin as payment unless you're close the person and the transaction will be executed behind the door.

suzanne5223 may be Finestream is referring to online stores, but aside from that.

It is utterly impossible to use bitcoin for payment in physical shops, this is because, in most countries SEC does not recognize Bitcoin as legal tender and any physical shop that accept bitcoin will be seen as illegal and can have the operating license withdrawn for accepting Bitcoin.

There are also countries that the SEC doesn't care about at all; mostly, only the SEC will be taking part if there is a company or ponzi scheme that is trending in a country, and that is where they post notices about it. Also, they can't just put Bitcoin on their notice, as it is a token. As long as Bitcoin isn't declared illegal in the country, or even if they haven't announced it as legal, it is okay to use it as a payment method or transact on it.
2212  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: February 01, 2023, 05:39:22 PM
There is no point in beating a dead horse that is how when you feel there isn't enough income in your locality then move to a place where the wages are better not even too far just to the nearer city where you can have better salary but comes with more hard work then only you can bring the real change in your financial status.

It would be easy to say but difficult to do because if you move near a city, the expenses are also so high that it is just enough  for you to survive, like paying rent because your home is far away and the food is more expensive than in your area. Though the opportunity in the city is endless, it would be great if you could cut your expenses like you have relatives to stay with or it is just really near your home. Then getting hired by those companies where you will start with a high salary is difficult; you still need more experience or time to render in a company before getting an increase.
Nothing comes easy in this competitive world so if we don't want to be in the trap then we have to get out of our comfort zone to make any real changes.

Well the rent can be bit expensive but food will not be a big problem because all we need to do is to cook on our own to save big chunk or else better find a job which provides accomodation at first then we can climb further based on our working skill.

You can really find cheap foods or cook meals that last you a day, but finding a job is really difficult. Most people right now are taking jobs that they are not experts in because of the competition right now, as a lot of applicants would apply for a certain position. The only solution really is to find a job first before moving to a city and compute if it is sufficient or not, because if you are struggling, then it is okay to stay even you struggle at your current job but at the same time apply for another job.
2213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: am now a bitcoin investor(first purchase) on: February 01, 2023, 01:48:08 PM
You purchased roughly $15 worth of bitcoin, right? It may seem small to others, but it is a good start to owning bitcoin, and I am sure it will be memorable for you as this was your first time owning a bitcoin. What I suggest is, can you transfer it to a cold wallet? that you own the private wallet? I am sure you purchased this on an exchange, e.g., Binance, but you don't own the private key; you only have the account, and if ever it is the same case on FTX, then it would be difficult to recover. As you notice, people here in the forum are now transferring their bitcoins onto their own wallets just to be safe.
2214  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 01, 2023, 12:32:50 PM
Just a little background I worked in a local government before, and most of the regular employees there are in this situation. They tend to have a loan that is deducted directly from their pay, and they also have another loan from another cooperative, for which they usually borrow money from a friend just to pay their loan. There is no way around this until your loan has been paid; you'll end up digging deeper until all the loans are paid, unless they have extra incomes from their partners or on their own. Also, I have taken a loan before, and I would say it is not addictive, but most of my colleagues will say to take a loan again, as their reason is that you can't buy those things in cash, and it is very boring if you don't have a loan to pay.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: February 01, 2023, 10:59:11 AM
~
I don't know how your friend intends to attract gambleers to his  website but I think is not a good business strategy. Most people want to have a variety of currencies they could use for gambling. Restricting the gambling site currency to a private token would discourage people from using it. But like I said, if your friend does the right publicity and the games on his platform are interesting he might end up attracting customers that would have no choice but to abide by his rules.

Exactly. In the end it all depends on the game they are going to offer. I personally think that the probability of the game being better than anything online is extremely small, but if you think of it, it's kinda possible. I mean, not for everyone, but for a relatively small group of people, a million people, for example. It's possible that for them in particular this game will be the best game ever, and, of course, buying a token to play it won't be a problem for them.

It should be a golden idea of a game that is so good and addicting that those new gamblers would try to play it. Though the possibility of having this kind of game is too low, as we all know, most of the games are already in the casino, and if there are any new innovations to the games, most gamblers are not interested in playing them. But there is nothing wrong with trying it; if it doesn't work, then adopt it so that it will work.
2216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how the name of Bitcoin is spreading globally! on: February 01, 2023, 09:39:57 AM
I've searched about agri products of Bitcoin Gold, but I haven't found any. The bitcoin gold that was in the agri products is, I think, a form of advertisement since I also found this kind of agri product posted on Reddit. Also, this is not Bitcoin; it is another form of coin. I thought it was really Bitcoin, but I don't see any logo of Bitcoin, and it has gold on it. Though it is my first time to hear this and also my first time to hear this kind of advertisement that was really written on the sack of the product just to spread awareness.
2217  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 01, 2023, 06:30:14 AM
Depending to your need and to your want I guess, if you are outside your house and you can't bring your laptop or your computer then using your cellphone or your mobile devices is good enough to continue playing the game you want, casino website already adjust and they have their mobile versions where you can log in and use their services.

Comfortable wise, most if not all will still prefer to use a laptop/desktop computer. The wide range of screen and the UI are really enjoyable and relaxing, especially if you are winning the game.
Laptops can also be carry outside but there are still occasions where you can't just open your laptop with you like for example if you are inside a public vehicle and it was moving already and then you are also surrounded with other people. Some things can happen like it will be stolen to you because there are thefts inside the public vehicle who are watching you earlier. If not, you can also drop it and it will be damaged.

For those scenarios, phones are still the best to use but there are some games on some gambling sites which lags badly on my phone so I just skip those games for a while if I am commuting but I will only play them once I got home using my laptop.

I can relate to those lagging gambling games, but the only solution to this is to upgrade the phone, as the gambling games right now are getting more advanced, mostly on graphics, and those low-end phones like ours have a hard time rendering them, which is why they are lagging, and my phone got hot on those specific games. Though there are still people who prefer not to gamble outside their house using their phones as it distracts them and they want to focus on the game, they mostly use their laptop or PC to play seriously.
2218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success in futures trading after long wait. on: February 01, 2023, 05:40:13 AM
I joined the futures trading platform a few months ago. There I buy 50 SOL 6x. After I participated, a bad news hit the market. And the bad news is that FTX is bankrupt. Then there was a huge loss on my futures trading platform. I continued to liquidation there without giving up. At one point while adding liquidation my total balance became very high and liquidation also came down and loss went to high level. The bloody year 2022 ends and in 2023 the market is slowly pumping and all my losses are recovered and I see profit.
Congrats on that, but for me it's just luck because the market reverses and this won't always happen in your every trade, and this should serve as a warning to those who want to do futures trade that when you don't choose a stop loss it's like you're gambling and chasing luck to come and when you feel bored because you don't see changes, chances are you are already in a bigger loss.

It is a winning trade, but yes, this is luck as the market reverses and starts to recover, and if this is an OP strategy, then he would be losing a lot and even burning his account. This kind of trade can boost our confidence in a bad way, as other people will not listen to others and want to continue what they are doing until they lose everything. I hope the OP  will have another strategy, as this is very risky and the possibility of losing is high.
2219  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: February 01, 2023, 04:50:14 AM

The lowest point I've ever experienced in finance I have no assets whatsoever, and also unemployed, to eat is very difficult and I have to sell around friends' products from morning to night to survive even though I only earn about $ 5, when walking I have estimated reaching more than 20 km and no products have been sold yet.

That was hard, as you needed to walk around rain or shine and still not sell anything. But now I am sure you are very far from it, and you just make it a motivation not to go back and to work hard and earn money to buy our needs. My experience was that I just lost a job, and I have a family to feed and an infant, which we struggle with at that time. I've also gone to computer shops to apply as an attendant, which earns me $4 per day and 12 hours of work. It was very hard, but I said to myself that I wouldn't be back again on those days, which is why I am working very hard right now.

Sorry to hear that you are in the midst of a hard time now. I used to be unemployed for some time and although I didn't have family burdens then, I can still remember that pain and struggle every day. I am not trying to say anything beautiful here because I know you'll walk through the rainy days sooner or later. It's just life that each of us has to deal with. As a husband and father, I understand your family responsibilities and please hang on. Your family will be proud of you and appreciate what you have done. Wish you all the best !

My experience happened three years ago, but that sympathy is something I appreciate, and I won't really go back to those struggles. There are really times when we need to walk through darkness so that we can find the right path into the sunshine. Also, your experience of losing a job is still a big burden on you because people have their own emotions and feelings, and there are people that the pain it brought to them is bigger than the pain others thought since the can't overcome it. That is why others who lost their jobs, even if they have families, tend to end their lives because they've gotten depressed.
2220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: February 01, 2023, 03:52:16 AM
It's impossible if they won't have a second thought whether the thing that they will venture is safe or not especially if someone promise them a crazy high return at a short period of time in exchange of a little money but it's also written on their rule that the more money you will put the more return you will get so those newbies will usually opt for this plan. There is wrong with getting scammed and that is someone might be greedy and has a lack of knowledge.

I am not sure if you got experienced this before but way back in 2016 when Ponzi schemes are all over the internet and as a newbie on bitcoin, the tutorials or guides are not that rampant so others get really baited to it and want to sort of test the waters of Ponzi scheme but turns out gets scammed. What I meant is that it is not the same right now that you will laugh at those people who still get into HYIP even though all over the internet is saying that it is a scam.

Don't say it's fine because they will just do it again and again. Following the influencers just because they are famous is a lame excuse. We should be aware that influencers are only like an endorser. They don't know what they are endorsing but they might lie and say that they are benefiting from it.

I haven't meant that it is fine to get scammed what I meant is this
There is nothing wrong with getting scammed; for sure, we will learn from our mistakes and avoid them next time.
meaning there are really times that we got scammed but we should be sure next time that we dont get into it again in the future as it is now our fault for playing dumb and again wants to invest in those high return scams
