1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 10, 2023, 04:24:11 AM
It's only going to get bigger and bigger too..I mean we are just touching the very TIP of the online gambling industry.  Here in the United States laws around gambling have become much more relaxed, especially in states like my own, Illinois, where gambling has been legalized across the board..however even here for many online casinos you have to initially set up your account using the casinos IP address.  Then you can bet anywhere, but must set up the account at the casino to start.  Before long this will no longer be a requirement for casinos across the country, which will only had to this explosion.  Then the rest of the world will follow the western world before long as follow suit...again, just the tip is where we are right now.

With everything going digital, yes it's gonna get bigger. When our government launched the digital wallet for our local currency, local casinos are also launching their version of online casinos. After months of it, we already heard people lost their fortune over online gambling.

Thats one manifestation that online gambling is really getting bigger and there is no sign of it going slow while influencers promote casinos as well.

this is really also a problem as it will attract more newbies to gamble that is why there are a lot of people that educating other people by teaching them the risk towards gambler and other are having free consultation or mental support through online to those who are addicted to gambling. I hope that you government will also like have program for those addicted to gambling and not just focusing to on regulating those casinos
1382  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: May 10, 2023, 02:28:39 AM
Of course it's nice if we have passive income from saving, there are many saving options that we can choose to get passive income, of course it takes a lot of capital to reach this passive income position, but if we start from small things and we do it regularly for a long time then we will be successful.

Saving is a very important thing in life and it doesn't only apply to those who have passive income. Because those who don't have passive income also have to save even though it's still very difficult for them when they want to do it, especially for those who already have passive income.

It's definitely easier to save the amount of money they want each week or month, and I personally also make savings for the time being in case of a hard time or a sudden large need. That is, I don't dedicate it to being successful even though I also don't stop fighting to be successful in my life.
Sometimes many people think that saving is not important but to be honest it really helps,
saving is not for now but for the future besides that we also never know what will happen later,
regardless of whether saving or not is a choice.
Rather than saving putting that money into good use is much more important, for example investing it into something that has store value. Here in our country, working on jobs with not that high enough salaries can not even help you ot sustain your daily expenses that is why most of my fellow citizens here find side hustles online or even on their community in order for them to have what we called savings and investment.

this is because of the inflation. i remember before that minimum salary is enough to us and there are some extra on it as we can still eat on restaurant but right now even in grocery it isn't enough and you still need to find side jobs that is why right now in a family mostly both wife and husband will work and there are still side hustle so that they can still provide to their children. This is really because of the prices of everything because if it is low then it is okay but again prices are increasing but our salary just stays stagnant
1383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin trading be my sole source of income? on: May 10, 2023, 01:17:33 AM
As a young person, I am overwhelmed by my curiosity in trading Bitcoin, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for me to resign my white collar work and return to trading exclusively Bitcoin.

Is it safe for a Bitcoin trader to quit their jobs and focus solely on Bitcoin trading if they can devote their time and attention to maximize the benefits in the Bitcoin world?
You can do whatever you want OP. You need to be at the pro-level of trading in addition to having made profitable trades before making a decision to quit your job. Since a trader cannot be an alone identify yourself with other traders in the community who are way higher an above you before thinking about.

I'd say do not be in a hurry. The universe will bring it to your consciousness when it is time to move fully into it and by that time, you wouldn't need to ask anyone because you would feel ready, and everything would be in place for you.

you should have a journal to list down your profit, entries, winning and lossing because that is where you can evaluate of you are earning a profit and you can make it as your source of income. It doesn't mean that for few months you are profitable youll now go fulltime on it you should have data like years so that it is really proven that you can make it as your main income. Agree that you need to have patience on it because if you have for sure youll have a lot of free time and you dont have to follow orders from your boss
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When using Bitcoin to make purchases, do you feel bad? on: May 10, 2023, 12:29:28 AM
Good day to everybody! Recently, when I was considering BTC transactions, I came to the conclusion that the system is heading toward accepting bitcoin as payment. It's fantastic too!

However, my issue is that whenever I consider purchasing using Bitcoin, I feel uneasy. I'll never forget the man who bought pizza for more than 30 bitcoins; those bitcoins are really valuable. I, for one, don't want to be this man who pays with an asset whose value WILL increase. From a future viewpoint, it appears as though you are paying more for the goods. What do you think about that? For me, if I have some stablecoins, I try to use them to make purchases since it seems more comfortable. While things are still horrible on the market, I don't want to touch my BTC.

The majority of us who own bitcoin do so for financial gain; none of us will want to spend it if our profit goals have not been met.So as for me, if I don't reach my goals, spending my Bitcoin will be dreadful for me. However, the only time I can spend my Bitcoin in a way that makes me feel somewhat at ease is when I spend it on items that are so valuable that I have no choice but to spend it at that specific moment. If I may add, the man who spent 30 Bitcoins on pizza may not have imagined that the price of Bitcoin would soar to the heights it did so quickly; otherwise, he might not have done so. but the fact is that some people are using it for their daily bases because they have many of Bitcoin in their wallets.

This is true, I also believe there won't be too many people willing to spend their bitcoins in their daily life, even those who are saying that there's nothing wrong with using bitcoin to make purchases because it's money. What they say is not wrong, but even they themselves wouldn't do it. We all want to be rich, and bitcoin is a very good growth asset, everyone knows that, so no one will feel comfortable spending such a precious asset.
There are still some people who use bitcoin as a currency and they don't see bitcoin as an investment to get rich. But honestly, there aren't too many people like that here or in the crypto market.

only few of them like those business owners they usually use it to make purchases also and didn't see bitcoin as an investment but we our selves are thinking only about profit and the reasons behind why you purchase one is that youll gain profit in the future. What I've also noticed even Bitcoin was was a payment method people see this still as an investment because of its current price but no matter whats the purpose on it lets just continue using Bitcoin no matter whats our purpose is.
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: May 09, 2023, 04:06:40 PM
Covid certainly made a big impact, especially in income, I left my office job in 2017 and actively traded in the market, I sold chicken and sea fish and during Covid I couldn't sell, but I only relied on selling online by utilizing social media such as Twitter , telegram groups and so on.

Online stores are also the peak that time and delivering it on their doors steps but that is really risky which still people are doing it before because they cant much do anything on it if they dont sell they dont have food. I also lost my job that time which is an office job and later on found a remote job which again lost because of the covid. A lot of ups and downs that time but still we continue to live even struggling that is life , just dont be lazy continue your hard work you'll get a pay on it later on
1386  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 09, 2023, 03:01:16 PM
I don't have a business, but treating me right while in their shop makes me come back later on. This was really similar to when I first built my PC. I was just going to buy parts, but because they made me an offer that was really good to me, I was able to build my first PC in their shop, and they thought so too. So also on my second build, that is also the same thing they do, which is why I advertise them mostly to my friends, as they always ask for my recommendation on where to buy parts, which they are really thankful for. If you treat your customers like this, you will sort of have a free advertisement, and this kind of strategy could really attract more customers to your shop.
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: May 09, 2023, 01:47:54 PM
It's not known by many.

And that is because people are just living from paycheck to paycheck and that's hard for them to accumulate such fund and that's all due to the low income and too many obligations to fill.

For me, any amount or percentage of money you get from your salary or source and being placed on investments or savings, that's already a good practice that you need to be consistent.
Easy to say but when you are already on that actual situation or condition then this is something the most challenging thing that you would be facing on on which on the time that you are just really just recieving that single source of income and you do have lots of bills and expenses which you would really be needing to pay up and ending up you would really be overdropped if you dont able to handle your finances well.
This is why it would be always ideal that you should really be wise on your spending and as much as possible you should be mindful or trying out your best to have another source of income.

Saving up money is always been that recommendable because this isnt really just for emergency but also for investment purposes which is really mainly the reason or common purpose
when you do have savings. Dont spend out on things which arent that important or something that useful because not all the time we do really have money in our pocket
which it is really that ideal on always be prepared.
With things and inflation today, it's teaching everyone to live not beyond their means.

And every activity that will grow them in saving money and lessen in spending unnecessarily, is what this season is teaching us. Right, that we shouldn't spend on unimportant things if it's not really needed at all.

No one is stopped in spending for their own reward but you know when it should be applicable.
Do not let yourself be controlled by excessive lust because it only harms yourself,
I think we have to realize how important it is to save expenses and start setting aside to save,
Obviously avoid impulse shopping.

People will only notice this when they already need the money. I can relate to this before when I still don't have family. I always buy my wants and don't think about how I'll survive for a week just because it's your payday, but again, you'll learn hard from it because you'll go through something that will make you realize that you shouldn't buy those things as they can't help you; it is just a temporary happiness.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 09, 2023, 12:09:11 PM
I think its undeniably big nowadays because we can observe big sponsorships happening around between online gambling platforms and many sports teams and athletes. 10-15 years ago people would be surprised to see these kind of things happening. Anyways it's pretty normal. When you can gamble from your home or workplace or even a park, why wouldn't you? When you lift these invisible borders it was obvious online gambling getting bigger. I think it didn't even reach its peak. Smart phones will make it more and more popular.

Before, I just noticed that those big companies were only sponsoring those events, and it was rare to see those gambling platforms advertising themselves, but now almost all sports or athletes have sponsors, even celebrities. That is why the gambling industry is really booming these days, and most people advertise it through those influential people. For sure, this will be more in the future as people can easily gamble through their phones or laptops.
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: May 09, 2023, 10:25:26 AM
I think salaried job is better than commission job. There are more opportunities here. There are many benefits in the job, the benefits of the job are their security responsibility, the workload is somewhat less, retirement benefits are available. In case of commission jobs, the salary is high but the workload is high. Minimum protection in house rent for low salaried masses has been simplified and simplified in traveling allowance. Recreational leave is available but the pay is low but there is a lot of peace.
Your preference is what you think is a good one.

Those people that are in the commissioned jobs will say that the best job is the commission basis job because they're earning more than the salary man if they're on their peak season or if they're more hardworking.

I also like job security but there's also some enticing moments in the commission type of jobs. That's why you do you and what you prefer in terms of these type of jobs.

I have also relatives that likes the commission based job because they can say that they are having side hustle while doing their jobs, which is really true that they are earning bigger than their salary which most of those commission job has a quota to reach , even one of my relative has a higher earned money through commission comparing to a employee from a government which has been stable for a month , but again there really a time that will come that it is difficult to got the quota but still you'll have a salary on it.
1390  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Gcash hacking issue. on: May 09, 2023, 07:17:07 AM
Kitang kita yung difference in the url.

1391  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 09, 2023, 04:36:31 AM
People think that working in abroad is so easy where you can earn money without sweat but in reality it is hard, this information is first hand meaning that my close relatives and friends share their experiences in abroad to me personally. In terms of financially, they really agree that working in abroad is better because their hourly wage is much higher than here in my country. The only disadvantage is that they got easily burnout because of the heavy tasks and they cannot see their family wherein they have long distance relationship that makes them feel home sick.

They said that their mental health is also not good but their environment is much better than here. So you see there are disadvantages and advantages and if someone ask me if what will I choose between working in abroad or working here. I'll choose working here because for me there are more opportunities in my country, if I will apply for a job it is better to do it outside of the country because of the big gap pay but I do not like to apply. I prefer to build a business and building business in my country is much easy and doesn't have stiff competition so scaling business here is much easier and I can become more rich here.

Everything has its price, there is no easy job with a high salary, just like an investment, if you want high profits, you must accept high risks, everything is proportional to each other. As far as I know, working in countries like Japan and Korea all have to work more than 16 hours a day, which is very hard, it can be said that going to work abroad is not as pleasant as we think. A few years ago, I also heard many cases of workers in Japanese factories jumping to suicide because of work pressure, causing them to fall into crisis. Everyone likes a lot of money, but if I have to choose, I still prefer to stay in my hometown rather than go abroad to work with many times more pressure.

I've also noticed that those caregivers in the Middle East are mostly not treated well; others will ask for help as they can't eat as their boss or the family that they are working with are not feeding them, and others have died. It is really hard to cope physically and emotionally because you are out in another country and your family stays in your country. With a great salary comes great responsibility; you'll really sacrifice things, either your time or yourself, which affects you a lot. It is really good to live a simple life.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 09, 2023, 03:30:56 AM
Keep showing that you love your current gambler, so I've said "loyalty program for those who have been on the platform for a long time and keep depositing, as well as deposit bonuses and free spins since most of the casinos right now I notice mostly focus on new user bonuses, which means those old gamblers or users in the casino won't be depositing at all and will be looking for another casino. That is why making promotions for the users is good for them to stay.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: May 09, 2023, 02:35:04 AM
Even right now media still constantly feeding wrong information the way before they always state that people get scammed in Bitcoin which is always misleading and we that we know the real information on this are just laughing and at the same time frustrated to why they are still keep insisting that bitcoin is scam. They are really scared of Bitcoin that really is but again there are now a lot of countries accepting or adopting Bitcoin which means those doubts will be gone soonest
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Aliens accept BTC, What about newborns? on: May 09, 2023, 01:25:42 AM
Such a weird question, but interesting, but I don't think they will need something in us unless we have some sort of powerful energy source, like the core of the earth, that they can tap for energy. But for sure they ain't needing bitcoin, but what I've thought of is that if they need some fun, they will try to mine bitcoin, and because they have powerful machines more than quantum computing, there is a possibility that they can easily mine bitcoin.
1395  Other / Off-topic / Re: Prepare for the life when you get old on: May 09, 2023, 12:39:03 AM
Old age is of course different, in my place people who are 65 years old are still actively working in the fields or are fishermen at sea, but we must always think that old age is a happy time and it's time to enjoy passive income, and the best thing we can do right now do is invest in bitcoin.

but for sure those old fisherman wants to already rest but they cant because they dont have money if they will not do it. That is really the problem if our source of income in just small and just enough for our daily needs and i am worried about my self too that i am getting older and i dont have an investment for my old life that is why there are like insurance program that was backed by the government that you need to do monthly payments so that in the future it can help you.
1396  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: May 08, 2023, 02:41:32 PM
Power outages are also constant in our country, and I don't know if it is worth it for the farmer to sue the electric company on it because he will need to pay a lot of money for it, and he is wasting his time, and it is still not sure that he will win the case. Instead, he should invest in generators. In my country, most hospitals, department stores, or anyone else where electricity is essential invests in those huge generators just in case of a power outage, as we always have rotational power outages. That farmer should invest in that too, as he has livestock.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world still see Bitcoin as a scam, or is it just a lack of interest? on: May 08, 2023, 10:07:40 AM
I think it is due to a lack of knowledge, bitcoin is not recognized in many countries, there is no education about bitcoin, and too many scammers take advantage of bitcoin's reputation to do bad things. So it's no surprise that many people consider bitcoin a scam. Bitcoin will always be considered a scam until the government accepts it.

But it is still not the same before that majority of the people who heard bitcoin will think that it is scam, right now only few of them as other somewhat already have little knowledge on bitcoin and not treating it as a scam, most of the reason why others are not jumping to bitcoin is because of the volatility and the risk that it gives to the people and added to that the inflation which most people don't have extras for investment. But  no matter whats the reason is as the time or years goes by adoptions will increase overtime and no one cant stop it.
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 08, 2023, 08:24:58 AM
So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?
I will travel abroad without thinking twice about it if the opportunity shows. I can't even compare the opportunities in my country (an underdeveloped) and in countries in the west(developed countries).I have watched my friends who left the country do 10 times better, send money back to the country and build a house and set up businesses for their family members. They have gone on to attain the highest height in academia, in business and in their careers. There are no barriers or limits to them when they travel abroad like it is in my country.
Not everyone is successful after working abroad, I know several people who have worked outside and none of them can change their fortunes from work abroad, they return to their home country and look for other job opportunities, don't expect to get a decent job abroad country unless you have a friend who has successfully built a business and offered you a job abroad. The effect is that people want to work abroad because other currencies are higher than the local currency and they have to save money to collect money from their salaries so that after a few years of working abroad they will be able to build outside in rural areas and be able to buy cars.

it is not 100% guaranteed that you'll get a job but still it has a higher chance that you'll get a job as long as you are not picky but most of the people I've known that went to abroad is that they already have agency or somewhat already hired as they get through training in local before flying to another country. But there are still opportunities everywhere it is just low salary and people will say that it isn't enough which is true and they always want to earn lots of money fast that is why they will go abroad
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 08, 2023, 06:20:14 AM
I don't know what year or date that details you've got mate but according to google it is much higher up to February this year

Global Online Gambling Market Set to Reach USD 75.15 Billion by 2031, With a Sustainable CAGR Of 12.5% | Growth Market Reports. PUNE, India, Feb.Feb 2, 2023

Here's the Link : https://www.google.com/search?q=how+big+is+the+online+gambling+market&rlz=1C1KNTJ_enPH946PH946&oq=how+big+is+the+online+gambling&aqs=chrome.2.0i512j69i57j0i512j0i15i22i30j0i22i30l3j69i61.7947j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

and from that  , I think that there are so much increase from month after month because lets admit
that crypto gambling is outgrowing the Fiat online gambling and adding value to the gambling industry.

this forum alone(Bitcointalk.org) composes of so many gamblers from around the world.

This is really huge. What I've worried about is those under 18 who are into gambling and would be prone to addictions, which means they would commit crimes or steal some money. As I've also noticed how rampantly the influencers in social media are posting this, and what I've worried about is that those influencers are showing that it is easy to win on those platforms, like just betting this and for sure you'll win. Someone also approached me, my cousin, who is under age, asking about money that he will pay back once he wins on that specific platform, and I am really worried about him.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 08, 2023, 05:20:14 AM

Hmmm interesting, "people actually depend on gambling to make money " this is a statement I don't like seeing but notwithstanding some Hippocrates feel they can actually make steady money from gambling where as the case is different meaning gambling actually makes money from you on a daily basis. I hate to see people taking gambling as a way to escape from your financial problems because has made many folks become debtors but that I believe happens to only folks that see it as a must do affair #addiction

Just as much as you dislike it, I don't think anyone is fully in agreement that a gambler should see gambling as a means of escaping their financial problems. Gambling can instead contribute to their financial problems, like being in debt, just as you have mentioned. Although some have taken the risk and got favored with a heavy win, some people have also taken a big risk in gambling, which has landed them in big trouble. Last week I read a thread (I think it was on the Nigerian local board) where a mother and her son were sentenced to prison for gambling off a huge amount of money that was not theirs. Also, there have been a lot of stories on the gambling discussion board about people who have landed themselves in more trouble because they gambled with money that was not their own.
Because gambling is not the solution if you're struggling financially. Some gamblers thought it is the answer for them to get an instant huge money, but unfortunately it's only possible if you're lucky to win. I also read about that story you mentioned and it's just one of the worse that gamblers can do because of their addiction.

But this is really the mindset of the people I've known, but it doesn't mean that they are addicted to it; they are just threating the lottery like this, which is why they are always buying tickets on a daily basis just to try their luck, which we can't blame them for as they want to get out of poverty even though they work hard and still can't get out. Though that is really the point at which the money intended to buy food goes to the lottery, which is not good, so far when it comes to the lottery, I haven't noticed that someone tends to use that money just to buy tickets.
