22141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to pack it up on: June 09, 2015, 08:03:05 AM
MasterCard has just announced that Bitcoin is no good, last one to leave turn out the lights. LOL.

http://www.coindesk.com/mastercard-digital-currencys-risks-outweigh-the-benefits/

lets talk about how many credit cards are being hacked! story from CNN

currently over 90% of credit card readers currently use the same password. with having this password an attacker can gain complete control of a store's credit card readers, potentially allowing them to hack into the machines and steal customers' payment data .
22142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Booty Girls !!! on: June 09, 2015, 07:49:23 AM
i think the subreddit of /r/GirlsGoneBitcoin is far more active and even effective rather than this youtube channel that only has a couple of not so interesting videos.
it has a kind of gone wild thing going on and everyone can participate and get paid (tipped) in bitcoin.
22143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: June 09, 2015, 07:44:32 AM
if i were you i would divide my coins into many portions and do different things with them. how big any of the portions are is up to you and what you feel like doing.

i put the biggest portion apart in a cold wallet, and secure it to hold for long term investment. for using or selling when the price is higher.

i would use another big portion for trading, you can do this either with bitcoin < > fiat or bitcoin < > altcoin. whichever you prefer and you know you can profit from.

another portion but a small one, can go towards lending. i think the best place is here on this forum in lending section and only with collateral so you don't risk losing your bitcoins.

many people would suggest gambling as a means to earn profit. but as far as i have tried gambling, i found it a means to lose money not earn anything.
22144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Altcoins be considered as Digital Currencies ? on: June 08, 2015, 12:59:12 PM
Yes, because they are a digital currency. You can stop calling them altcoins if you wish though and just call them cryptocurrencies instead. Maybe altcoin will go out of fashion eventually but you can't really force people to change but you can lead by example.
the thing is, they are alternative cryptocurrencies. so i think altcoin term is suitable for them.

and this is not going to change until we stop seeing new coins everyday that are scam/pump & dump/copy

Altcoins are not mature enough to be a separate thing, it needs a new feature that is actually useful and most importantly people have to accept it as a currency then it can be considered as a stand alone and be called coin not altcoin!
22145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does RyanPumper keep on making thousands of dollars per month? on: June 08, 2015, 12:45:28 PM

22146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I trust an altcoin when... on: June 08, 2015, 12:38:58 PM
I wanted to play around with some altcoins but many of the main websites are sketch at best.  For example when checking out UltraCoin, their recommended miner has spyware in it.  What altcoins can you trust?
never download any file from any of unknown or new altcoins that just came out, unless you know programming and can check the code yourself.

if you want to invest or have an altcoin's wallet you can always make an address on an exchanger, although it is not recommended to keep money on an exchanger, but it is safer to download an unknown altcoin's wallet.

another way is to make a virtual machine on you computer, with a program like virtualbox. this way you can protect your system from any malware. you still have to be careful though.

also you can mostly trust altcoins that are old and have a huge number of users, that way you have lower chance of getting malwares.
22147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: June 08, 2015, 11:54:06 AM
Its so simple, find a regular job,
and then buy bitcoin with earned money  Grin
best answer so far.
i always say, easiest way to earn bitcoin is working for it. this can be either working and receiving payment for your job in bitcoin or getting fiat and exchanging it to bitcoin.

but other than that i think trading, especially altcoin trading is a nice way to earn bitcoin these days. since there are a lot of altcoins out there with enough potential to give you a good profit, and the market is hot, everyone can earn a great deal there.

I don't think there's an option to bet red  Cheesy

Here's a philosophical puzzler for ya:  what's the difference between "betting red" and just thinking about what you would have bet red on, then flipping the up/down and betting green?

Smiley
oh man, i do this all the time. i keep getting these reds over and over again, and look at the numbers and see that for example the number is high and i kept betting low and got red. then i decide to change the bet to high and when i do i get red again with a low number
Cheesy

at first i thought that this post was made by a user who found some random website, but the username shows that it is official owner.

22151  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Bitcoin Slot Machine (NSFW) on: June 08, 2015, 10:47:06 AM

Trafficola, we are going to do our best to send your bitcoins by tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

Hey Michael so is this a statement like I am taking it that you have done the checks needed to verify it was a legit win and you have confirmed it was a legit win? Way to go Trafficola you lucky person. Did the win come from the 0.02btc bonus upon signing up? If so lol that is funny  Cheesy

I guess he is collecting the cash to Trafficola. He will never let us to win easily again, and will make the new rules in his website  Cheesy  I think Trafficola will be the first and the last biggest winner now, and maybe the next winning will be happened in next year  Grin

And maybe he might never show up again ever and doesn't pay anything to Trafficola Tongue You missed this option Wink
it looks like Trafficola's winning was a one time that bankrupted the casino, and they were not prepared for such a sudden big win.
i hope they can pay him soon and this doesn't affect the casino and they can continue their service, although the website needs more work, i find it interesting.
22152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: June 08, 2015, 10:22:45 AM
being greedy is in the nature of all human beings. you just have to use your head, and not let your greed guide you in making decisions.

being greedy is not always a bad thing, always wanting more can make you achieve more bigger goals. but you always have to use your head, and judgement to try not to make stupid decisions which might make you regret them afterwards.
22153  Economy / Speculation / Re: $225 is the new normal. on: June 08, 2015, 06:23:10 AM
I think a lot of people are sitting on the sidelines with money ready to enter but they want to see a clear sign of a uptrend first.
i agree. many people still think that bitcoin is going to start going up and even reach $1000 , so they are waiting with cash in hand to jump on the train to the moon.

while i am one of those guys, but i don't think that the price will go anywhere near $1000 , but it is going to go up if we can see any good news that results in a nice movement in the market.

honestly bitcoin market is getting boring nowadays, it just at the same price with 1-2 $ ups and downs.
22154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if I disconnect my pc will my BTC be safe on: June 08, 2015, 06:12:26 AM

Don't compare Blockchain.info. Bitcoins lost through Blockchain.info is very big and no, many of them were *not* due to users' faults.
if you are referring to the reusing of the "R values" by blockchain.info . i have to say, it could be easily avoided if the simple rule of "always use every address once" was followed, it could have been prevented.
 -snip-

Reusing addresses are alright except it compromises privacy. Reused 'R values' were exposed due to Blockchain.info wallet's bug, not user's fault.
that is what i said, it was blockchain.info fault and it was unforgivable.
all i am saying is, everywhere you look it is recommend that you should use every address just once, and this simple act could have prevented their losses.

i'm talking about a direct attack to your desktop, like a ddos, but with also the possibility for him to take control of your machine, i think not, but maybe i'm wrong
i have experienced a "TCP SYN Flood attack" which is a kind of DDoS attack. the attacker needs your IP to do this kind of attack AFAIK. besides i wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary.

i must add that the attack was simply blocked by my dear AntiVirus (Eset Smart Security) and i blocked the attacker's IP afterwards, just to be safe.
22156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2015, 11:58:10 AM
i have always heard of btcjam and saw the ads but have never tried it.

what is the difference between lending to people there and lending here in this forum at lending section.
what do they provide as a guarantee or collateral?
Each has its own rating. There are people who are constantly borrow and return. They have a good reputation. Do not skipped borrow the full amount, but only that which you do not mind.
I have heard many good reviews about this site. No time and money that would be available to try.

there are multiple cases of default on loan, even from A+ rating, i would stay away from it , without even thinking, the only good thing is that you can divide your loans with someone else, thus is not necessary to pay the full loan by yourself
this is exactly my concern. if it is only based on ratings and the past history of the person, it can not be fully trusted. since it doesn't matter what the person did in the past, he can still run away with the loan.

for instance, here in the lending section, everyone who wants to take a load must provide something as collateral. so the lender is going to be safe.

I sent to blockchain.info an email yesterday, but for dogechain i don't find their support address. Maybe you can help me with that.
dogechain.info has nothing to do with blockchain.info AFAIK.
at the bottom of the page it mentions "Block.io, Inc. Much reserved, such wow."
i think you should contact Block.IO here is the link: https://block.io/contacts
22158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone knows Bitcoin Arbitrage? on: June 07, 2015, 08:25:47 AM
does this work?
i mean you have to consider the fees too. which means you have to pay the fees twice, once where you buy and once where you sell.
is the difference between exchangers that high to cover the fee and give you profit?

besides it takes time to cash out of exchanger, it need to get confirmed by the exchanger and then goes to your other address and get 3 or more confirmations.
what if the price changes in this time?

my answer is yes, it work, but you need a very good bot, on every exchange, that trade for you, if you do it manually, there are more losses whne moving from one exchange to another, with bot those losses are minimized
can you give me some links on bots that can do this?

and i read a bit more about Bitcoin Arbitrage, and i think my last question was wrong
besides it takes time to cash out of exchanger, it need to get confirmed by the exchanger and then goes to your other address and get 3 or more confirmations.
what if the price changes in this time?

you don't actually cash out, you do the trades and keep both bitcoin and fiat at all exchangers, right?
22159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if I disconnect my pc will my BTC be safe on: June 07, 2015, 08:15:02 AM
my ip is dynamic, i'm not worried about that, being a target or not, they still need to find a way to infect me, which mean that they need that i download something or click on something, almost impossible
i think if you are really careful and know what your are doing, you are the best antivirus of your desktop, but i agree that such thing isn't advisable, average joe don't have the patience for something like this, they can not manage their own security
if you have 0.0001 btc of course your safe cause no one will work hard to stole your money.
but if it's 5 BTC even if your ip is dynamic or you have a cisco guard firewall. or DDos protection system or anything else.
the problem is your post,  this post got 500 views maybe anyone will try to get your ip address.
if a hacker know that he will get 5 BTC (1100$). you know!!

those 5 btc are here since bitcoin was 1000(so there isn't even the excuse of "you are just not a good target", hacker has stole a much lower amount than that), and none has ever stole them, like i said they can't simply attack your desktop without your "permission"

i agree. of all the "my bitcoin was stolen" stories that i have heard so far, almost all of them was the person's fault. like clicking on a phishing email, opening a suspicious link like fake blockchain.info address, having keylogger, using Tor,...
all of these can be prevented by taking necessary precautions. like having a good and up to date antivirus or using offline wallets,...
22160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ╣├ Research about Faucets ┤╠ on: June 07, 2015, 08:10:49 AM
There are some browser based games now that are even better than faucets because it's easier to keep track of.  Plus it's a game so it's sort of fun and cool.
now that you mentioned it, i remember there was a browser based game, i don't remember the name, but it was something like miner or coin mine. there was this little dude who dug the ground and mined different ores that was worth small amounts of satoshi. although the payment was so low, the game was fun.
