2221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: February 29, 2016, 04:23:09 PM
bitcoin is digital
dollar is physical
dont compare thing which didn't match either
Yes, bitcoin is on the internet and can be traded only on internet. But dollar can be traded both online and physically.
The thing is which is better investment. The U.S. Dollar is the most liquid because it is the world’s reserve currency.
The Bitcoin has not seen a very long time span, but since its introduction in January 2009, it has remained stable. So it can be the currency of the future.
2222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: February 29, 2016, 03:04:30 PM
First we need a way to spend our bitcoins (e.g. local store)

exactly, if there is enough places to spend our bitcoins then we will use them. this is something that OP doesn't want to agree on.

besides with all the speculations going on and the price going up it is sometimes hard to give up what you have bought cheap and is going higher even.
Yes you are right , no one is arrogant here to not use BTC even when they see good things online being sold for BTC ,  often buy bitcoins  but more often I spend them on various items.
2223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You DO NOT NEED 6 confirmations. on: February 29, 2016, 02:19:12 PM
-snip-
I just use my Xapo wallet for my daily spending so controlling a private key is no big deal.  I complete my big transactions with my Core wallet and keep my savings safe offline most of the time.  That's why I use Xapo...to isolate my savings from my spending.  It works out great.
Very clever idea because its safe and easy. I use Blockchain wallet always since its easy to use and I feel safe too, moreover often need to spend my bitcoins on various activities.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: February 29, 2016, 01:57:17 PM
Very yes! If you was the owner of gambling game. Cheesy just make a strict algorithm and a few marketing to gamblers.
Well, if you own a gambling site then you are not in the right thread, its basically for gamblers who gamble, I think some people can stay in profit in long term if they are luck, but its really very difficult.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Martingale Profitable ??? on: February 29, 2016, 01:20:43 PM
Martingale can be profitable given you have an incredibly large bankroll to back it and don't hit the max bet on a site.
Actually you might be right but sometimes even if you have more bankroll than even the whole site, still you might not get big profits and end up on the winning side of martingale, because you have to understand that they have a max bet option.
2226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: February 29, 2016, 01:06:17 PM
Bet 0.1btc at a winning rate of 90% and loses at first try ..
And i deposited half of it to that site.

Well, that is really sad because it was your first bet and you lost it and that also on 90% winning odds. I also cried once when my parlay bet lost just because of 1 single bet ended as a loss in 11 bets parlay.
See you should not feel bad, because basically parlays pays so high only because you are risking to many wins without any losing bet. That is the basic reason why I always prefer single bets rather than parlays.
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: February 29, 2016, 12:58:53 PM
Bitcoins without altcoins wont be as interesting as they are right now, We wont have anything to exchange for BTC and make profit, in fact many people make good profits with altcoins trading.
2228  Economy / Gambling / Re: "richest gambling sites"??? on: February 29, 2016, 12:29:45 PM
you are at the top of all wrong , the richest is jackpotracer , jackpotracer give a jackpot of up to 2btc more , other gambling sites do not dare give up 2btc jackpot .

I think there are still many sites that give more than 2 btc for the jackpot. You can search bitsler. It gives almost 7btc last time when I played and I dont know is there still any player that already get it or not. If there is not claimed yet it should be around 8-9 btc now

Nitrogensports have a big jackpot on dice games. one day i see their jackpot is around 10+ btc. For the richest gambling sites, i think primedice is the richest.

Never had the chance to play on primedice. But yea i heard that's where the bigstakes are being played. Nitrogensports on the other hand really is a good player in the game.

there was a post here about primedice top rollers profit wise. and looking at that list adding up those profits that the players got out of the site it was around 2000-3000 bitcoin so i guess PD is making a lot more than that so they can pay those winners these big amounts.
Right and also PD is one of the oldest sites, so with that they must have bought bitcoins back the, which means they got BTC for cheap price, and hence they must have bought some big amount of them.
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: February 29, 2016, 09:59:00 AM
Here is another one, may be a best strategy,  in roulette is to bet on 2-19 numbers and keep doing that until you win, on loosing make the amount double and bet, but still its much more like dice martingale.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 29, 2016, 09:33:44 AM
I am waiting for some World T20 matches like again India vs Pakistan and then India vs Australia ( hope it happens ) , I am very certain that it will be India vs some other team in the final, because at the moment India seem like un-beatable.
I also am looking forward for the match between Australia vs South Africa in world cup T20, looks like it will be a contest of pride. I am always fascinated when these two teams are involved separately, now they play against each other, so just curious.
Now we have 3 Twenty/Twenty matches before World Cup between these 2 teams its really fun to watch these 2 quality teams hope we have some good contest in this series
I think Australia will win against South Africa because they have a more stable side, they have all rounders and good combination of bowlers and batsmen, I think they have the most devastating openers too.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This study explains gambling addiction on: February 29, 2016, 09:20:20 AM
Good read, such a fine line between fun and going to far
Yes there is a very fine line between going mad and being sensible too. Gamblers often get mad while playing and they loose all money, while if they can remain in their senses in bad situations they would profit much more.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asia Cup T20 cricket matches discussions and predictions on: February 29, 2016, 09:10:15 AM
Asia cup as the name suggest is been played in Asia and more accurately its being played in Bangladesh, where the pitches are spin friendly. So I expected teams with more spinners to win, but my predictions went wrong with greeny pitch. I wonder why all the matches are being hosted on a single venue.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Martingale Profitable ??? on: February 29, 2016, 07:54:10 AM
Yes, martingale will profitable IF you have big bankroll and i advice you to not bet on dice sites. Better you use martingale strategy on sportsbook, it's more safe than dice sites.

IIRC, the highest recorded lost streak for a 2x run on a bitcoin casino was about 30.

Now let's calculate how much that guy lost: assuming he start with 1 satoshi as his base bet: He would had to bet 2 ^ 30 satoshis, or 1,073,741,824 satoshis on the 30th bet. (10 BTC, which is 3000$)

And that's not including the previous bets! So no, martingale is not profitable, but it's a simple strategy many newbies at gambling do..
Well, you cannot compare yourself as unlucky as the highest looking streaks, but yeah I often play at primedice and get some 8-10 bets loosing streaks pretty easily. Though when playing on bitdice and others I never get even 5 in a row.
2234  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: February 29, 2016, 07:35:58 AM
For me i like because because i get extra income without even actually working
You are right and also I think opening a bitcoin wallet takes hardly some seconds at blockchain and spending them is pretty easy too. So, that also makes bitcoin one of the best currency around us.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the best future currency? on: February 29, 2016, 06:00:49 AM
Bitcoin is the best currency and will be one of the most popular in future because a kid of 8 years can use it, its that simple. And its that secure that even a pro hacker cant take your money away.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: February 29, 2016, 04:44:27 AM
The safest way to bet is bet small with very small odds and try to make less bets , like if you make 1 million bets per hour, you would surely end up with loss, so try to make small and slow bets. You will make some profit Wink
Even large bets also works if you bet on sports and you have good knowledge on sports then you can easily win some easy money always. But still things can happen that are unpredictable so better do something like martingale or such and try to cover loss when you loose.
2237  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: February 28, 2016, 06:56:31 PM

2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 28, 2016, 06:38:25 PM
Bitcoin can eventually make banks disappear. But this wont happen tomorrow.
Actually not, because you see some people prefer legal works over such things and they wont stop using banks. But yes if you ask me and given a choice, I would stop using bank, come on what you need is all provided by btc then whats the need of banks man ?
2239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HALVING IS COMING!!! on: February 28, 2016, 06:24:30 PM
Those who view the block reward halving as a milestone in Bitcoin’s journey of struggle and triumph will have a lot to celebrate. The block reward only gets cut in half after a certain amount of the total supply has been mined.
Therefore, the only way these halving will continue is if miners continue to hash out blocks.
2240  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: February 28, 2016, 06:06:29 PM
Bitcoin has been considered an real tool for such audiences. Long have individuals worried about such sites subscriptions showing up on credit card statements. But, in this day and age, thanks to Bitcoin, this type of viewing can be kept private.
Although it should be avoided.
