2221  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 10, 2016, 12:45:15 PM
I don't think the people that lost their money will ever get it back. Did anyone get their money back from Mt Gox? As far I know there is still a lot of money (in BTC) that hasn't even been traced now, they dont know where the gox coins are.
2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 09, 2016, 12:12:05 PM
McGregor is supremely confident and this may be his downfall. He always thinks he has it all figured out and it's not that easy, you can't forget you are fighting against one one of the best guys in the game and reach distance is such an advantage in fighting... I still think he can win but he has to be cautious against a taller skilled guy.

McGregor isn't overconfident.  It's just an image he's trying to project in order to sell the fight and it's also psychological warfare from his part.  I'm pretty sure behind his facade is a man who knows that he lost to a guy was called on 10 days notice.  He will be wiser coming in this fight.

I also have been going back and forth on who to back in the main event.  Some days I think Diaz has the edge on others I think McGregor could win it even if the fight goes beyond 3 rounds.  I might abstain but I will be betting the over 2.5 rounds for sure.  I think McGregor will be more efficient with his strikes, saving energy, and Diaz will be durable as always.  I think this will go for 5 rounds.

Yeah thats true everyone exaggerates their confidence, but besides that I think he is legitimately a bit too confident sometimes, but yeah everyone plays a facade as a part of the mental warfare. Even Mike Tyson the scariest fucker ever admired he felt fear before a fight.

It's coming

EDIT: This topic is my proof. Everyone thinks that it's not possible but why not?

I call it a bubble.

Way to fuck up big time OP. We are now climbing again and we will continue climbing, except when the next huge ETC pump happens, we'll see BTC go lower again for a while as ETC rises to surpass ETH, then BTC will keep growing.
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC Parity for ETH DEVCON2 September 19 to 24. Parity is coming..... on: August 09, 2016, 12:07:27 PM
ETH the dogshit coin will get dumped as the inevitable catastrophe we saw with the DAO repeats again. And everytime it happens it will be way even more embarrassing. Since human error is impossible to avoid, we'll see constant hard fork bailouts which will turn the coin into an ever shitfest. Grab your popcorns.
2225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Obvious ETC manipulation to keep the price low on: August 09, 2016, 12:05:33 PM
Complete and utter FUD.

The ETC criminal coin is dead.

Get over it.

Im sorry you cannot handle the facts. Keep sucking Vitalik's dick, maybe he bailouts you too next time a smart contract coded by morons gets exploited.
Too bad by then ETH will be dead.
2226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Criminal Coin in Terminal Decline on: August 09, 2016, 12:03:52 PM
ETH the bailout coin that made Vitalik have an autistic breakdown by trying to stop exchanges and got roasted in his own reddit over the insanity is fundamentally broken:

What hypocrisy! The DAO hasn't been 'hacked'. Ethereum is working 100% as designed. You smart contract lovers soon turn over a new leaf when you lose your own cash. Here are the facts:

1) Ethereum is working exactly as designed. 2+2 still equals 4.

2) The DAO is working exactly as the code specifies. The EVM isn't mistreating the DAO code at all, it is running as per the specification.

3) So there is a recursive payout 'problem'? No there isn't. It was all in the specification. When the DAO was fund raising, it was explicit that the only thing that mattered was the DAO's contract code. Nothing else should be taken as being reliable. Well, the contract code is still operating exactly as it was specified. A 'hacker' is merely using the code in ways that were there to see, should anyone have looked. How can they be stealing when they are just using the code?

4) Do you see the problem with 'trustless' contracts now, suckers? Anyone who claims that the DAO has gone wrong is at odds with the original investment statements. Attempts to block eth transfers is such blatant two-faced hypocrisy.

1) Leader is a total failure that acts as a central banker: check
2) Predicts no problems with the hardfork and huge problems arise: check
3) Contradicts his and other devs views on how code should be law only to become pragmatists when they lose money over a smart contract: check
4) Shitty investors that put millions of dollars in a shit tier coded mess only to bail out later: check

ETH is living in delusion.
2227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Obvious ETC manipulation to keep the price low on: August 09, 2016, 11:57:20 AM
Huge sell and buy walls strategically placed to trigger people selling low, I wish I saved the screenshots but I can't find them. Anyway this behavior happens often so I will try to catch it again.

There are big deep pockets invested in the ETH-DAO scam that hate to see ETC surviving as a coin and are doing everything they can to keep it down. Once ETH dumpers run out of ETC it will go to 0.006+ where it belongs.

Let's not forget ETH is a dead project lead by a 21 year old immature kid that had a mental breakdown and acted as a central banker to stop people from freely selling their shitcoins as the DAO attacked happened:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4oif2x/dao_attack_exchanges_please_pause_eth_and_dao/

ETH and Vitalik's popularity is extremely damaged even within the ETH community. ETC will start climbing sooner or later. We'll meet again.
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 09, 2016, 11:49:24 AM
ETC is extremely cheap and being dumped on purpose to keep it cheap, once ETH whales run out of supply the price naturally double, pretty easy way to get your money x2.

2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 08, 2016, 11:55:13 AM
It's too early to say who will win since we can't even see most top players in pre season since they are still in vacation due the team cups but real madrid is always a contender, but europe is too big and too many top  teams can win. I think barca will try hard this year to win.

Of course you can bet on Barcelona, but first you need to theoretically evaluate the potential of this team. Today, even Messi is going through simpler times and juicier "decline", as well as other leaders Barcelona.

How is Messi declining?  I have not seen the pre season matches but I saw the america cup and Messi was playing pretty good, pique was also very solid in the spanish tea in Eurocup even tho they ended up losing.
Similarly, madrid players like Ramos had a good performance too. Ronaldo was decent but not as good as Messi imo.
2231  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: August 08, 2016, 11:06:41 AM
You simply don't. It's a mistake, they don't get it. If anything, if you are invested she will ask you what the price is all the time. Most people only care about purchasing power and increasing it. This is why only engineers, cryptographers and smart people (except lucky guys too) got invested in Bitcoin early on, they saw the potential even if it was worthless.

Eventually mainstream will catch up and they will be using bitcoin even if they dont know they are using it.
2232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two hacks and two approaches - is Bitcoin is looking better than Ethereum? on: August 08, 2016, 11:02:49 AM
Opinions?
there's a fork coming for bitcoin too, apprently
https://bitcoinforks.org/

we even have luke-jr posting his comments on the consider it page  Cheesy
https://btcfork.consider.it/

IMO this fork will fail to gain any significant support like ETC did.
but its worth a look at what they are doing, its interesting to say the least.

Luke JR is a troll. The fact that there is still people pushing for a "big blocks" agenda shows how dumb/vested interest behind that they are. Anyone with a brain in 2016 knows scaling on-chain it's impossible unless you don't care that the network becomes more centralized and stupid without a conservative approach, that's why Core is and will remain the #1. There will never be enough consensus to hard fork Bitcoin for mindless experiment's sake. The conservative approach which is the approach that has made Bitcoin able to survive for this long, will remain the chosen one. Every alternative will end up like Classic/XT because they are unprofessional amateur punks without nothing to show.
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: August 08, 2016, 10:59:37 AM
Whoever expected an instant pump was delusional. I always thought something like this would happen. Price would go up prior halving slowly, then a couple months of more or less stability (except the dump due the bitfinex hack but we are getting back to the latest price soon) then we will go to 2000+ dollars next year.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two hacks and two approaches - is Bitcoin is looking better than Ethereum? on: August 08, 2016, 10:56:02 AM
We have seen the hacking attack of reportedly 60M USD from Bitfinex and the attack of the DAO for reportedly around double that amount.

But after both attacks we have seen two very different things happen.

In the case of the Bitfinex attack there isn't even the slightest suggestion that some sort of "hard fork" would be offered by the Bitcoin Core developers (so they are just going to have to wear their loss for their mistake) but in the case of Ethereum we have now ended up in a "fork war" with ETH vs. ETC (and ironically ETC is actually the "original" code with ETH now being a fork).

Opinions?

ETC is severely damaged forever as a project, and the reputation of its leader, Vitalik Buterin, it's also perpetually damaged after he tried to stop exchanges, after he bailed out investors with a very questionable hardfork, and after the hard fork due it being rushed presents huge problems like the replay attack.

The only reason ETC is not higher than ETH is because ETH has the inertia of being the bigger chain, but eventually the tide will change and ETC will take over. ETH fundamentals are doomed.
2235  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: August 08, 2016, 10:47:08 AM
A great risk right now to take would be to go all in in ETC. With 10 BTC, and with ETC potentially reaching 0.01, you can end up with massive profits and reach the 21 BTC club in a matter of days. Definitely worth the try.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 07, 2016, 12:59:06 PM
I have already a winner for next year's champions. What you ask? Well simple, Real Madrid will win. Ronaldo is very motivated now thanks to finally winning the Eurocup which was giving him nightmares about retiring without a national tittle. Now he has it and he can focus better. Benzema and the rest are in top shape. Real will dominate I think.
Sure ass damn you right, haha. just tell you something in champion league no one team can win 2 year in a row even real madrid have a chance but i'm not sure that can do that again.

The fact that this record has never been achieved does not mean it is impossible. In fact, the longer this record stays without being done, the chances of it happening get higher, so I would say it's realistic for it to happen.

Spain team won Euro-Worldcup-Euro in a row and I would have said this was impossible before they did it.
2237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC Parity for ETH DEVCON2 September 19 to 24. Parity is coming..... on: August 07, 2016, 12:48:00 PM
ETH is already dead, it's a zombie coin, ETC is the only hope for the Ethereum project. Btw, I have proof that whales are trying to scare people in ETC and cause panic selling by setting up huge orders that modify the order book in Poloniex, will post pics later.
2238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P Ethereum - The Pre-Mined ScamCoin is dead on: August 07, 2016, 12:40:54 PM
ETH is absolute trash, with Vitalik Buterin as a leader acting as a central banker by trying to stop exchanges from trading ETH and DAO during the attack to avoid people from panic freely selling, and rusing a hard fork that has been a disaster. He needs to be fired and the project refunded if there is any chance of it from surviving long term. Oh wait this actually exists and it's called ETC.
2239  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: August 07, 2016, 12:35:45 PM
It's just not worth buying stuff with Bitcoin unless you get some sort of incentive like the special offers in purse.io, otherwise I will not waste my Bitcoins into stupid stuff like videogames, even tho sometimes i have given up the tentative and bought some games in steam.
2240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kim Dotcom Predict 2000$ per Bitcoin ??!! on: August 07, 2016, 12:32:27 PM
Well good luck with the OMFG #BIT$2000 or what ever. Bitcoin probably wont reach $2000 anytime soon especially after the great price drop and the theft of the 120k bitcoin. But it is likely that the price might rise up again to about 700USD. But we all wish that bitcoin reached $2000.

The price already recovered and we are only less than 100 dollars away from 700, it proven than this time Bitcoin is tons time stronger than the last time an exchange hot hacked, so next pump will be insane, at least 4000+ dollars easy.
