2221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is There a Bitcoin Supercycle? Is this the end of 80% drawdowns? on: February 21, 2022, 11:51:11 AM
The price movement of Bitcoin over the last year has been extremely intriguing. We haven't witnessed that significant drawdown yet, which has prompted some to believe that the cycles have shifted and that we are now in what is known as a super cycle (bull markets and mini bear markets). People on Twitter speculated about a supercycle earlier this year, so it's not like it sprang out of nowhere. Personally, I believe that the conventional cycles have now been disrupted. But I'm interested in what everyone else thinks.

All the opinions about supercycles and conventional cycles are simply speculation.
Is the Bitcoin price even moving in cycles? The cycles theory is based only on the past historical data of the Bitcoin price. We already know that the BTC prices in the past cannot determine the future price of Bitcoin.
Just because some price pattern or event happened in the past doesn't mean that the same price pattern or event is guaranteed to happen in the future.
The only thing that's for sure that the fact that the Bitcoin price will keep moving up and down forever.

2222  Economy / Economics / Re: People over 65 having most of wealth in US on: February 21, 2022, 06:48:04 AM
People over the age of 65 accounts for 76 percent of all wealth in the United States.

Consider where the crypto markets will be when the younger generations that have grown up with cryptocurrency reach the age of this group...

Can you post a link to the source of this information?
We don't know what will happen with the cryptocurrency markets after 30 years, when the younger generations retire.Maybe the cryptocurrency markets will evolve into something different,or maybe they will disappear.Technology is becoming obsolete pretty fast and we shouldn't be planning 30 years ahead.
Your info actually shows that the room for growth of the crypto industry in the USA is kinda limited, because the young people have really small amount of the total wealth in the USA.

2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 21, 2022, 06:26:36 AM
Quote
It's really sad when you want to play on specific casino but there's a barrier obstructing your desire. I know there's an alternative casinos, but I have some personal reason to play in specific casino...

Personal reason? What kind of personal reason? Can you elaborate more on this?
Almost all crypto casinos are basically the same-the same games, the same functionality, user experience, etc.
The differences are way less than the similarities. Why would you want to play on a specific casino, when you can choose from a gazillion other crypto casinos?
Perhaps the problem is in your browser, having Java not enabled or some other technical s*it(I'm not an expert).
I've seen many crypto casinos on the forum, where I cannot load the website, despite the fact that my country isn't blacklisted.I guess that I have to use a better and more updated web browser.
2224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 21, 2022, 06:09:12 AM
Quote
"Government intervention has always been a factor in setting the gold standard," Salinas explained. "And fiat enables infinite financing."

What?
From the quote that you are citing I didn't came to the conclusion that Salinas prefers Bitcoin over fiat.
Bitcoin is a better option than fiat money,if you are talking about store of value.
Bitcoin isn't any better than fiat money, when it comes to daily retail purchases.
Bitcoin isn't better than fiat,if you are going to use some centralized custodial entity to store your BTC.
Spending paper cash can be as anonymous as than spending Bitcoin(spending BTC isn't anonymous, unless you are using a good BTC mixer).
I think that you are oversimplifying everything.Perhaps you should learn more about Bitcoin and fiat.

2225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: February 20, 2022, 12:21:09 PM
Yeah, all the clickbait thumbnails on Youtube are hilarious.
Those crypto Youtubers must be really desperate for clicks and views, despite the fact that they are killing it with crypto trading and making a shit ton of money(if you really believe their own BS). Grin
You know what's worse than Youtube?...Tik Tok!
Getting ridiculous investment advise from Teenagers on Tik Tok is absolute cringe.
I've never used Tik Tok,but I've seen "Tik Tok Investors" compilation videos on Youtube and I can tell you that this is a circus.
Every experienced crypto trader must watch this kind of content only for fun(and cringe).
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: February 20, 2022, 11:51:59 AM
We have heard all the news about countries deciding to make bitcoin as legal, the latest being Russia and Ukraine as they both are also in some political problem. Obviously with this new statement that has been made on bitcoin status in those countries, it could be regulated by the government.
What is your expectation of bitcoin ?

Nothing groundbreaking or spectacular happened in Russia and Ukraine,in regards to the Bitcoin/crypto regulation.
That was a small step in the right direction, but countries like Russia are pretty unpredictable and the Russian government/central bank could still ban cryptocurrencies at any given moment.
The crypto markets didn't react positively to the news coming from Russia and Ukraine, because almost nobody trusts the governments of Russia and Ukraine.
My expectations about Bitcoin cannot be changed by news, gossips, rumors,FUD and all sorts of BS.
My expectations about the Bitcoin price are bearish in the short term and bullish in the long term.
2227  Economy / Economics / Re: What economic sanctions will US impose on Russia on: February 20, 2022, 06:46:26 AM
The US sanctions will be pointed towards the oligarchs, who are close to Putin.
They will most likely repeat and supplement the sanctions, that were imposed back in 2014,when Russia invaded Crimea.
The Russian companies will be banned from doing business in the USA and holding any funds in US bank accounts. The EU might impose the same sanctions as well.Perhaps some rich Russians will be kicked out of the western world and they won't be allowed to visit western countries anymore.
I don't think that any western country would stop Russia from exporting oil, natural gas, metals and raw materials. This would be an economic suicide.

2228  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Stats about Bitcoin Casinos | Infographic on: February 20, 2022, 06:21:33 AM
That's a pretty cool infographic.
The important data I want to know about is the actual number of active gamblers on all these crypto casinos.
Unfortunately,no crypto casino would give accurate data about the real number of active gamblers on the platform. They would most likely come up with fake and inflated numbers of active players.
The fact that 49% of the crypto casinos don't have a gambling license is also a big red flag.
Another interested info would the total amount of cryptocurrencies spent on cryptocurrency gambling during the years.I'm sure that it's impossible to reveal the real amount, but knowing about how big the crypto gambling industry actually is would have been great.
2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUD seems to be majorly targeted towards well perfoming assets like Bitcoin. on: February 20, 2022, 06:03:25 AM
It's not just the Paypal stocks.Almost all big corporations were heavily pumped by the Federal Reserve during the pandemic. That was clearly a stock price bubble and it popped. You could see it on the chart. The stock price went crazy after the pandemic struck in the beginning of 2020.Perhaps there were expectations that the people will abandon cash payments due to the risk of getting infected and focus only of digital payment solutions like Paypal.Well, this didn't happen and the people didn't abandon cash payments.
We cannot compare stocks to crypto, because spreading lies and FUD that would manipulate stock prices is considered illegal,AFAIK.The sad thing is that the same regulation doesn't apply to the crypto market.
Spreading lies,in order to manipulate cryptocurrency prices should also be considered illegal.
2230  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 18, 2022, 11:19:34 AM
As we know at the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin decreased due to entering a bear market because of the new year.
But now bitcoin continues to decline again due to Russia's war with Ukraine.
In your opinion, is this the reason the bitcoin price keeps dropping, sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down again.
Because there is a new issue that says that there is no war between Russia and Ukraine but the American mind.

OP,are you using Google Translate or something?
It seems to me that some AI robot had written your forum post. Grin
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine/NATO/USA has an impact over the global financial markets, not just the cryptocurrency markets. There's no proof of a direct correlation between this conflict and what's happening with the Bitcoin price. However, nobody could deny that there's an influence over the BTC price, stocks prices, indexes, commodity prices, etc.
I'm sure that Putin won't invade Ukraine, but for some reason,he wants to keep the tension on the Russo-Ukrainian borders. He has some hidden agenda.
2231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price once goes into consolidation in a critical area where speculator on: February 18, 2022, 10:57:37 AM
I wonder what was the reason for the current price drop from 44K to 40K USD.
The Bitcoin market isn't ready for a bull run.Historically February isn't one of best months for Bitcoin(even though historical data doesn't matter that much). There are some bullish news coming from Russia and Ukraine(even though I don't trust those bullish news),but the Bitcoin price reacted with a drop.
There's nothing important going on in the world of Bitcoin,so this price drop could be explained with normal price volatility.More sellers want to sell, but less buyers want to buy.
I'm still optimistic about a bull run happening during the spring, but it's OK if 2022 turns out to be a bearish year for BTC.We will be waiting for another ATH in 2023 or 2024.
2232  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1win on Bitcointalk! on: February 18, 2022, 07:07:15 AM
Ok, this must be the weirdest thread on this forum .... OP start a thread without mentioning the site he is promoting. People ask him what the site is and they give him directions on how to acquire Bronze membership, but nothing happens.

Is this a teaser thread for the big reveal or is this some cheap advertising technique to get people curious or for them to Google and then to end up on the wrong site? (A scammer can quickly create a phishing site and cash in on this type of marketing)  Roll Eyes

I see a lot of other sites with similar domains.... eg. 1win-bet.com / 1-win.casino / 1winbet.in etc.. etc..  Roll Eyes

Yeah, this is weird.OP didn't even post a link to the crypto casino he is promoting(or at least trying to provide customer support service,I'm confused). What's the point?Maybe he can't post the link, because the URL will be rejected, due to being suspicious.
I don't believe that such phishing scams would work.No gambler is stupid enough to deposit money in a crypto casino, which doesn't have enough reviews, feedback, players, active customer support, gambling license, etc.
It seems that OP is really unprofessional and he doesn't know how this forum works.I hope that he will come back and answer all the questions.

2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 06:45:16 AM
First Russia adopted crypto and announced to make it legal and now the Ukraine did the same. Both of these countries are at the verge of war against each other.
Though it makes no sense but still i wonder if the tense situation in both countries is the triggering point for the adoption of bitcoin?

Russia and Ukraine becoming more liberal towards the crypto industry seems really weird.
Anyway, this is good news. It's way better for the crypto traders and miners in both countries to know that dealing with cryptocurrencies isn't in the "greyhat" area of legislation and regulations.
AFAIK,crypto isn't 'adopted' in Russia,because:
1.Crypto wasn't really banned in Russia.
2.Legalizing cryptocurrencies isn't exactly adoption.Real adoption would be the government and big companies starting to accept cryptocurrency payments, which isn't case and most likely will never happen.
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: App for analisys NFT collections on: February 17, 2022, 12:12:50 PM
1.Scam adviser isn't enough for catching NFT scam projects.
2.NFT trading volumes can be artificially pumped. The Youtuber Cofeezilla has a great video uploaded recently about a team of serial NFT scammers, who keep launching over hyped NFT projects.
Those scammers launch fake giveaways to boost the NFT projects and they are buying and selling the NFTs with a bunch of their own accounts, funded with their own money. This creates fake trading volume and increases the hype around the NFT.
Good luck with your project, but I have to say that I am skeptical.
2235  Economy / Economics / Re: US national debt exceeds $30 trillion on: February 17, 2022, 11:39:49 AM
As long as the US dollar keeps being the number one reserve currency, the US debt can keep growing without any issues. The Federal Reserve will keep printing money and buying US government bonds and other countries will keep buying US dollars for their foreign transactions and national currency reserves.
The real problem will occur, when the US dollars stops being a global reserve currency.I'm sure that Russia,China and many more countries will decide to stop using US dollars in their transactions at some point.
The question is what happens next?Hyperinflation in the USA or the US government going bankrupt?Or maybe both?
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 17, 2022, 06:54:25 AM
I'm sure that Bayern will defeat Salzburg in the next game.1-1 is a good result away from Munich and the Austrian team actually isn't so weak, even though it can't be compared to Bayern.
I was reading some statistics about Bayern receiving 12 goals in the last 10 games. They definitely have some problems in their defense,so I don't think that Bayern is going to be the biggest favorite for winning this year's edition of the UEFA Champions League.
I wasn't surprised to see PSG winning against Real Madrid, but PSG will have a hard time in the next match against Real.
Liverpool and Man City winning against Inter and Sporting was pretty much expected.
2237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anything like Moneygram but accept crypto on: February 16, 2022, 12:21:41 PM
Like first person who responded, the best way is localbitcoins but not without risk and in fact with very high risk hence the bad rates.

I know a lot of Afghan people use moneysenders in Pakistan which is near the border. You send money there also with Moneygram and they make sure it gets sent to the Afghani across the border. This is probably the safest, just need to make phone calls Smiley

OP asked for non-KYC platforms.Localbitcoins requires ID verification.
The non-KYC platforms like Bisq and hodlhold probably don't have people, who accept BTC/Moneygram trades.
Unfortunately,it's pretty hard to use payment services in a such underdeveloped country like Afghanistan.
There has to be a way around this, but this would require multiple middlemen, who will charge a fee and make the process really expensive. There's also the problem of trying to find middlemen, who are actually legit and won't scam you. This makes things even worse.
Good luck with this,OP.
2238  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada to freeze Freedom Convoy Protestors bank accounts... on: February 16, 2022, 11:59:52 AM
It's very hard to believe that a progressive country like Canada has taken such a drastic step like an authoritarian country. Peaceful protests comes under human rights. I didn't hear any news of violence during the trucker's protest. So it's surprising that Canadian government has decided to freeze the bank account of the protesters.

But that's where we can clearly see the benefits of bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Your money stays with you and no third party has control over it. That should be the norm.

I'm not surprised at all.
All the "progressive" leftists want a "big government",that can control every aspect of our lives and act like a babysitter. As if all the people above the age of 18 cannot take care of themselves and act rationally. Grin
The "progressive" leftists and liberals support only the protests made by other leftists and liberals.
All the "civil rights" mumbo-jumbo about "every citizen having the right to protest" doesn't apply to the people, who don't share the liberal agenda. This is hypocrisy.
The protests must go on and the protesters will be funded by cryptocurrencies. If Bitcoin doesn't do the work(because of regulated crypto exchanges and BTC wallets),then perhaps the protesters can start using privacy coins like Monero.
2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 16, 2022, 07:05:49 AM
I understand what the player is going through and what this might mean to him.

But at the same time, I absolutely do not agree with this because this seems to be almost suicidal.

And I honestly cannot decide if this is bravery or stupidity. This involves a huge amount of risk for the player. But I have to say that this man is something else. He prioritized football over his own health, this is not something that should be done but this is actually amazing.

I don't understand how other players will be able to play against Eriksen, when they know about his condition.
Football is a physical sport and I assume that nobody would want to tackle or try to hurt Christian Eriksen.
Many football players get into a deep depression, when they quit professional football.Football is the meaning of their lives. They just can't handle the massive change in their lives, after they quit.Maybe that's why Eriksen doesn't want to retire.
This is both brave and reckless, but I guess that nobody in the world can convince Erisken to retire.
Even his wife cannot convince him.
2240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 06:32:30 AM
The people aren't overthinking Bitcoin's potential. They are overestimating it(at least some of the Bitcoin maximalists). Overthinking and overestimation are two completely different things.
Bitcoin is NOT a magical tool, that will solve all global problems.Bitcoin cannot replace any government or any big corporation.Bitcoin can be used only as a replacement of fiat currencies.
The questions about leadership have nothing to do with Bitcoin, because Bitcoin/blockchain can exist without leaders and there's no need of leadership in a fully decentralized environment, such as the blockchain.
