2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone give me an idiot proof guide to mining Feathercoin? on: April 29, 2013, 10:00:19 PM
For NVidia cards, you will have better luck running cudaMiner:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0

I get almost 2x the hash power off NVidia with cudaMiner than by using cgminer. While it still doesn't compare to an ATI card, at least you will get a few cents more than the electricity you are eating up.

Make a batch file (.bat) point it to a pool you already signed up at, like this:

Code:
cudaminer.exe -o http://poolname.com:port -O username.1:password

To make a batch file, put the above code in a text file, change the parameters to match your pool and username/pw, save as or rename it to poolname.bat. Make sure it is in the same directory as the cudaminer.exe for easiest setup, you can always make a shortcut to the .bat file to your desktop if you want. Also, if you are new to batch files, you may need to go into your computer folder options and uncheck the option to hide extensions of well-known file type, or else your file will remain text.

Ah nice, will try that.

What does username.1 means? I put my username there and then add .1?

It's the username of the worker of your pool, worker one is generally your username with a .1 behind it, two .2, etc.

How much would you pay for this? And can you give a more accurate description of exactly what you want?
2223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FeatherCoin - Giveaway on: April 29, 2013, 09:50:43 PM
Pool is empty. Need donations to give out more.

If you got some spare coins, create a new thread give out some FTC love.

Will pay the ones that are posted before this later today

I can make a small one that gives away like 0.1 or 0.01FTC per person, but is an amount like that worth it? Or are faucets usually bigger?

Anything that spreads the love is worth it! Cool

the only faucet i know of for feather coin that is still running is giving 0.005 FTC you can check it out here: http://faucet.yourcoins.org/feathercoin

Well, problem is, fees per transaction are 0.1 FTC :/
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC going up in price on cryptonit on: April 29, 2013, 09:45:58 PM
Had an order of 50 LTC per 1000 FTC for fun and it got filled. Might need to raise my other sell orders.

Yep, that's why I've been mining it for days, although I don't believe in the coin at all.
But I put profitability above my beliefs. I'm a capitalist like that.

I've tried mining it but I can't figure out how to get it to work. Can you help me? :/. Thanks! =).

I am a supporter of FTC and have invested, and have already made a 0.25BTC profit, buying yesterday. To all the haters, hate, but don't rub it in our faces without any good arguments. To all the other dislikers/haters who can make normal arguments, sorry to you, don't mean to offend you. If anyone can normally argue with me on why it's bad, then please do, I'm up for a good discussion! But please don't hate without any good arguments, or constant flaming, keep it civilized, thank you! =).

Thanks, if I am able to buy more sometime soon, I'm giving through! =).

Congratulations Boelens. :-D

That's the biggest pot that has been given up to now.

I'll be posting a new picture in a few minutes. :-)

This one will have a hint.

Although I think the hintless picture experiment was a success. Many people bet on it so I guess they liked it. It's way harder to find what it is but most importantly you need a little more luck too. I guess I'll post a hintless pic every now and then.
I GUESSED JAMES BONDS I DESERVE A SECTION OF THE POT

Lol, poor you. I can give you 5mbtc if it makes you happy =P.

it actually would make me happy thank you.

Alrighty then, there you go =P.

Also, thanks for adding new pictures, I'll enjoy guessing these!

I GUESSED JAMES BONDS I DESERVE A SECTION OF THE POT

I know... :-| And you found that quite early too. I was expecting either you or someone else to start trying specific movie titles at that point but none did.
Tough luck this time for you. :-| Did you know which movie it was?

(BTW it's not prohibited to team up with other users and share the rewards)

Oh and a new pic is up...

I actually did this for the James Bond one, went on Skype and we narrowed it down, shared half with him.

LTC99 is probably a scammer, careful, updating this post in a minute or two

Can confirm that this is most likely not a scammer, unless our transaction was merely to collect reputation. I bough 500 FTC and he agreed to do it in parts of five, all went smooth with quick communication, there was no suspicion and he seemed nice. That's what I have to say of my trade with him.
2230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an easy way to create a faucet? on: April 29, 2013, 05:48:44 PM
biggest problem I have found with a FC faucet is the .1 txfee/send. Countered with hundreds of hits a day, that adds up real quick/

Woah, FTC has a 0.1 fee?
2231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an easy way to create a faucet? on: April 29, 2013, 05:45:42 PM
You can host a site on your own computer for free using free dns services and a free domain such as .tk.

Google.com has everything you need.

That would mean it'd be down if I turn off my PC, and I'm not really interesting and keeping it on 24/7.
2232  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: April 29, 2013, 05:31:14 PM
WOOH! I GOT IT! The 0.14BTC one! =D
2233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there an easy way to create a faucet? on: April 29, 2013, 05:28:53 PM
Hey there,
I wanted to create a FTC faucet to get more people into it, but I prefer to not spend too much time and money on developing, web hosting, domani registration. Is there a cheap way for a domain and hosting, and some sort of API to create a faucet? Thanks!
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does FTC mining work? on: April 29, 2013, 05:18:37 PM
Okay.. Because on my laptop I got like 4,000 KH/s, it seemed like a lot. How do I fix this?

That's most likely 4000 KH/s mining SHA-256 which means 4KH/s mining FC.

Oh. So basically, it sucks?

Yeah mining on a laptop is usually not a good idea.

Well, I got a fairly powerful PC. How much would a decent rig cost that gets a good amount of FTC per day?

I would talk to CryptoCurrencyMiners

here is his thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=186058.0

He can make you a good offer.

Alrighty, thanks! =).

Any chance to get some more pictures? I've no idea about the current ones.

They'll soon change, one is expiring is 20 hours-ish.

Heya! Question on FTC mining here,
My PC mines with 7000kh/s, however when using p2pool or another pool, it doens't show my mh/s appearing, or any shares getting accepted. Once two shares got accepted, and I got like 0.001 FTC from a pool, and my khash/s said 11. I've left my PC on for 30 minutes today with p2pool, and it did constantly do things and mine,, but a share never got accepted, but on a calculator it says 7000kh/s is fast and should get a lot of coins per day, however if a share does so little, and are so rare, how is it still profitable?

need more info.

1. What pool
2. What miner?
3. What command to the mine?
4. any rejects/stales?

1. p2pool
2. Reaper
3. Uh. I just set up the config with the adress and stuff.
4. I don't think so, sometimes it does pop up some line saying some stuff, but it's still 0|0

Feathercoin will fall hard in the next few hours :-D

Why do you think so?
