22281  Economy / Reputation / Re: We need to tag people for not using escrow! on: August 03, 2018, 08:35:36 AM
Actually, there is an easy way to solve this, the manager does the job and only provides the escrow with a list of addresses and the escrow sends them all out to the participants at once.
Then people complain they didn't receive their tokens because they were rejected. The escrow will take the blame, and will be asked to look into it.

It would be much easier if people don't join campaigns from untrusted (or even Newbie) "managers". But the spammers don't care who's managing it, they spam the forum anyway.
22282  Economy / Reputation / Re: We need to tag people for not using escrow! on: August 03, 2018, 07:46:02 AM
There's no easy way for an escrow to decide whether or not the bounty manager did a good job. That means the escrow has to do the bounty manager's job all over again, checking thousands of entries to determine who should be paid.
22283  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Ever wanted to own a full Bitcoin ? Here is your chance. - BlockHaven Contest on: August 03, 2018, 07:36:55 AM
CONTEST: 3 of our first 1000 subscribers will win 1 Bitcoin.
Can you escrow the 3 Bitcoin prize? There's no way I believe a Newbie will pay $22,000 for 1000 subscribers!
22284  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 02, 2018, 09:48:29 PM
I am surprised that nullius isn't there but this guy(newbie) is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=95463. nullius has more activity, same trust(sort of), and more merit than him.
It's based on the average of 3 different rankings. nullius is 628th most trusted, but doesn't even show up on most Activity and most Merit(ed). I think the airdropped Merit shouldn't count, that would put nullius a lot higher. Now many Legendary accounts fill the top 1000 because of the initial Merit, just like old accounts fill the Activity already.

Hi, silly question, am I in or out?
You're in. I have nothing to add to Steamtyme's explanation Smiley
22287  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ ★ ★ Chain's Code ★ ★ ★ ROCKET-FAST SLOT MACHINE ✪ A GIVEAWAY IS HERE ✪ on: August 02, 2018, 11:36:56 AM
I hope Senior and up are allowed Tongue
OP confirmed to me by PM that it's for Sr. Member only. There will be a giveaway for Legendary users later.

However, I can join, because I reported a mistake.

Before using the site, I've searched to see if it's legit. There is one accusation, but I can believe this is referal abuse that got caught. This is nothing to worry about.
What I don't like though is that trueflip responds to the above link and on Bitcointalk too by publishing email addresses and an IP address. I'm pretty sure this is a violation of your own privacy policy (see "DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION"). May I suggest to edit those posts?
Because of this privacy risk, I'll only use trueflip.io through VPN.
The Conditions say I'm required to send full identification before being able to withdraw. If that's enforced, it means I can never withdraw, as I'm not willing to do that in any online casino. I highly value my privacy.

Contrary to what several users above me say, the sign up process is not as smooth as it should be. When creating my account, I click the big Sign Up button, and get a popup  saying "Confirm that you are not a robot". Unfortunately, there is no captcha to be found.
It takes reloading the page for recaptcha to show up. After entering my details for the second time, it works.

Now the action: back to Chain's Code!
I had to search for the demo, but it turns out to be the very big button that I overlooked. The units are a bit weird (1 equals 20 μBTC). Instead of 20 μBTC, I would have choosen either "20 bits" or "0.02 mBTC, which are more common names.
I can't change "μBTC" into another unit, despite showing up and down arrows next to it.

What confuses me, is that it never says I lost. In demo mode, I don't see my balance change, so I can only speculate: If I bet 2000 μBTC and win 1000 μBTC, does that mean my balance went down 1000 μBTC? I'm used to online (Bitcoin) casinos that tell me whether I won or lost.
I did win 3 and 5 times my wagered a few times in demo. BINGO! Most of the time though I effective lose the bet, even though it wins a small amount.
You should probably change the use of the word "BINGO!" when it says "BINGO! YOU WON 0 μBTC". "SORRY!" would fit the loss better.

22288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 02, 2018, 09:21:49 AM
Is the fee not to much for micro-paying?

Example:
In the future byteball is the crypto currency nr 1.
The current price for a mb is 2000$ (this is the current price 0,10334$/mb x19353)
Now is the fee of 500 bytes = 1,36745$ to much for micro-paying...
What's the point of saying fees go up if Byteball goes up 1,935,300%? That kind of speculation is not something to worry about now.
By the time this becomes relevant, I'll worry about it from my yacht.
22289  Other / Meta / Re: Does this count as plagiarism ? on: August 02, 2018, 06:01:24 AM
Yes. Post it in Mod, please check new plagiarism: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban , it'll be handled within a day.

This link shows an empty page.

* merit is what you have.  merited is what you have received.
By that defintion, the profile pages are wrong: mine says 3rd most merited, which should be either 3rd most merit, or 6th most merited.
22291  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 01, 2018, 07:44:38 PM
I recognize the first 17 names. #18 posts on Mining/Hardware, and indeed, I don't go there.
Around Rank 100, I still recognize most of the names.
From (about) Rank 400 downwards, I recognize less than half the names.

I'd say the fastest way up this list is gaining trust, high Activity is only for people who have been here longest.

For consideration:
If you're counting the initial (airdropped) Merit, which was based on Activity, aren't you double counting Activity?
22292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 01, 2018, 07:02:39 PM
Still painful to watch such good project decline like that. I wonder when the people will see the good projects, it is such a forest out there it is not easy to see good ones anymore
Have you shown Byteball's wallet and possibilities to people you know IRL? I have, and I hope more Byteball users will do this. Show what it has to offer, and send them some Bytes if they install it.

Bloodbath
Trading volume is still really low, so if somene sells just a small amount, it drops hard.
22294  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: ROUND 2 on: August 01, 2018, 06:29:55 PM
Do you have an address for receiving the .01 BTC. I'm okay with sending it whenever, just so you have it available when you are ready.
Not yet, I don't want to overplay my trust rating, so no new deposits before the first round ends.

Why does it say "Cnain's Code" very big on the first image of your thread? You may want to fix that Wink
Can higher ranks than Sr. Member join too?
22296  Other / Meta / Re: Bash script to filter new topics created by high rank members only on: August 01, 2018, 05:31:09 PM
Can you upload the results somewhere, including the thread titles and regular updates? That would make it much easier to use.
22297  Economy / Digital goods / Re: VISA or Mastercard Virtual Cards on: August 01, 2018, 04:10:49 PM
Update: You were sent card details  but haven't heard from you since.
Let's say you're not very clear in your messages. You've sent me 7 PMs, I've replied 3 times.
Short summary:
You: sent me 2 links
Me: asked which one I should use
You: said you deleted them, with the claim that my account changed to a different name
Me: told you my account has never changed name, asked if someone is pretending to me me
You: Told me again you deleted the link. Upon reading it again, there is a new link with this PM, I previously assumed it was the same link
You: 2 test-messages

Considering the service is just about testing a VCC, it's not worth that much of my time. Good luck with your business.

How do you get yourself whitelisted by the way
I think some Mods and users can whitelist users.

22299  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: August 01, 2018, 01:40:17 PM
The time between two reports for me is 9 seconds.
It's 4 seconds for me. You'll lose 1 second every 50 Activity until you hit the minimum. On LoyceMobile it's more than half a minute (any chance it can be whitelisted?).
22300  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: August 01, 2018, 01:34:32 PM
probably because theymos announced the possibility of merit badges
I started reporting a lot more when I read some report stats last year. There were no badges yet to be earned, so I can imagine this thread made more people aware of the possibility.

Quote
It's clear some of them are actually just looking for things to report
I'm kinda guilty of that too (when I go after accounts to be nuked), and I report many of them. But they're recent and active accounts.
When I stumble upon old bad posts, I sometimes report them too, but those are exceptions.

Quote
because they're reporting old threads that haven't been posted in for ages just to be 'locked' or spam posts from ages ago. Just saw one report from January on a spam post. Is that really essential?
Like this one? That's a waste of time indeed.

BTW If my reporting manners are not good enough, please let me know so we both don't waste time and effort.
Same for me! There's barely any feedback on reports, sometimes I get a "thanks!", but that's it. Without any message, I assume I'm doing the forum a favour.
