2241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pastor Shuts Down His Church After Winning About $140,000 In Sports Betting.. on: March 25, 2023, 02:38:57 PM
Now my question is, As a business or as a career person who is also into gambling/betting, would you quit your current business or career if you won the same amount of money from gambling/betting?
Be sincere and state your reasons for your decision..
I would quite my current business or career only if I didn't like working on that. That is, if I were involved on the job just for financial reasons. Otherwise I would just decrease the workload to enjoy the profit made through gambling travelling and doing other hobby activities with people I like being together.

I say this because it's important to have an occupation in life, doesn't matter how wealthy you are. It's not unsual to see rich people living without pleasure or a purpose of existence, as ironically all they have is money and nothing else, leading to a feeling of inner emptiness.

Money is important in many aspects of our physical life, more related to comfort and ease, but it's not sufficient to supply most of our mental, emotional demands.
2242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 24, 2023, 07:58:12 PM
It could be, who knows. They will eventually cheat if there are opportunities to cheat. However, with reputable casinos, I don’t think cheating is more possible since they have this provably fair system so that there will be more transparency in each game. And if there are cases of cheating, players are always free to voice them out. But with illegal operating casinos like those in gray areas, cheating will always be possible and is even hard to stop it.
We need to know what casino OP is talking about, so we can have some idea about the legitimacy and reputation of the casino and also compare it to the experiences of another gamblers who have played there. Consequently, we could reach a conclusion if what he is saying makes sense from a practical point of view, or if it's just coincidence and superstition.

Personally, I think it's likely to be coincidence, because casinos don't need to cheat on gamblers in order to make profit, since they are already assured to profit on long term due to the house edge.
2243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be the biggest means of fulfilling dreams in the future. on: March 24, 2023, 04:54:33 PM
So if you want to fulfill your dreams in life then invest in Bitcoin then you will be able to fulfill your dreams very soon.
Thanks to bitcoin the dreams of many early adopters have already become true. And now, in our case we still have the hope and expectation our dreams can become reality as well through bitcoin investment, although in order to achieve that, bitcoin has to increase in price a lot yet, unless we hold many bitcoins in our wallets, what isn't the case of most investors who have up to some millions of satoshis only.

I'm not sure if holding such amounts will be enough to complete te desired goals in life, so better that these investors have another plans in life besides bitcoin towards financial freedom. As we say in investments' world, don't put all your eggs on the same basket. Don't put all your hopes into a single investment...
2244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 24, 2023, 04:09:48 PM
Not every religious leaders gamble, because there are those who preach against this practice and are coherent with their speeches, and that is fine. The problem is when the religious leader preaches against gambling in public, but adopt this activity for his life in secret, on his private life.

I say this is a problem not because gambling should be considered wrong or immoral, but because this person is an hypocritical and manipulative one, therefore he shouldn't be trusted and followed by anyone who seek the truth, honesty and balance in life.

A religious leader who acts like this must be acting against the words he preaches in other aspects of his life as well, so be careful.
2245  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 24, 2023, 02:19:44 PM
1 FUN = 24 satoshis. It was 1 FUN = 36 satoshis months ago (last September I think).
That's because the value of bitcoin prices is getting higher on fiat currency exchanges and while FUN is relatively slow on fiat currency exchanges, therefore the exchange for FUN to BTC is getting lower, but judging from the total FUN investment at the beginning it would be better to calculate it at the exchange rate fiat currency than calculating it to the exchange rate to BTC

This is great news for people who keep a certain balance on Freebitco.in as they can now use that balance to buy 0.5 FUN token more for the same spending amount as it was 36 satoshi before, now it is 24,meaning with 36 satoshi you speaking in theory can buy 1.5 FUN with that amount.

This is a great time also for people who have some Bitcoin aside in their wallet to invest here and become a premium member easily as 2500 FUN now cost only 60.000 satoshis while before costed near 100.000 or a bit more,so in this moment the more you buy the better,if you lock them monthly then even better.
Maybe it is an opportunity for those who are not yet a member to start becoming a premium membership because you can start with a smaller amount of satoshi compared to a while ago, but sometimes I feel that sticking only to BTC can be more profitable because in the end our investment will only be worth the same in usd because in btc units it is clear that our investment has fallen very far, but everyone has a different view because sometimes altcoins can provide far greater profits it's just that for FUN it takes extra patience waiting for that to happen, and without patience in the end we will only suffer losses.
I guess in every cases the 12,500 FUN membership package is still worthful, because it's relatively cheap, while rewarding decent bonusses, especially if you are a bitcoin investor inside the freebitco.in platform, so you enjoy the extra daily paid interest a lot, since you will be receiving it in bitcoin itself, and not altcoins which aren't able to grow on the same proportion of BTC.

The important here is to notice FUN is the key to boost earnings in bitcoin. That is what makes the investment on this token so interesting.
2246  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 23, 2023, 09:39:46 PM
And do what?

Make the Casino go out of business and close down the casino so that we won’t have any Casinos to play on?
Have anyone understood or analysed any implications from such development?

All I can think right now are various questions which are not getting resolved but I’m having more questions one after another due ChatGPT stuff.

You pick anything these days from article writing to complex theories, from video processing to animations and what not GPT is there.

I only have one question to ask to community, whether this is worth it?

Now they are trying to compete the house edge as well, that’s literally complicated resolution which ain’t beneficial for the user experience in long run.
AI is for our times what Martingale was for early crypto years.

Back then people thought they discovered the perfect recipe to defeat the house through Martingale strategy plus automatic bets.

Now they follow the same logic by believing AIs are the magical formula to win safely on long term.

Well, let them think it's possible, until they see by their own eyes it's not possible at all...

25% is for the very long term holders, at least in the crypto world many players would have a year as being considered a long time.  I have said a few times you might as well do the 1 year term as it really will take that time frame to develop, BTC can spike but it doesnt really fully run like an avalanche and gain greatly until its built up over a year so not holding is really not for the best if ambitious in that magnitude.
Isn't that such a sad fact? I mean 25% for a year is a great return, and one year is nothing in the regular markets, it is literally short term for most investors in the fiat world, and yet here people act as if they need to get rich in a month or it is not a good investment.

What freebitco.in offers is something you can't find in anywhere around the fiat world, no matter where you live, no matter how much you invest, you can never get what this place has offered you. But, since there are scammers in the crypto world offering 100%+ returns even 1000%+ returns, people get confused. This one is legit, and it's as best as we can ever hope for.
I Agree with your opinion, first, 25% per year is really a juicy offer, and I really wonder why anyone would say otherwise, freebitco have indeed lived, even far above its name.

Online have shifted the mindset of alot of people, that most no longer remember or consider how hard it is to make money, it is only a person who does not really understand the difficulty in making money that would say that a 25% Interest per annum a too bad or a bad deal.
However, if FUN loses 50% of its price during this whole year your funds are locked, it means the yearly interest will drop to 12,5% already. So there are risks involved. Usually, every tokens offering too high yield bring this kind of risk side by side. That is something you have to consider before starting your investment. And if we compare FUN to BTC price, the rates can become even more alarming, as we can already see FUN losing a lot of value compared to BTC.

1 FUN = 24 satoshis. It was 1 FUN = 36 satoshis months ago (last September I think).
2248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 23, 2023, 05:00:20 PM
If I'm not mistaken, we have a thread here: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting....

And yes there are many sites that also cater for this kind of betting. However, I'm not into this kind of betting though, not my type, but I don't have any agaisnt those who are willing to make a bet on US Election or any election for that matter. There is no one size fits all type for gamblers.
Yes, discussions regard american elections are already disponible and more advanced on the mentioned thread above.

Probably OP didn't know and created his own, but it's better that this thread gets locked and all discussions and predictions are posted on the older thread to keep everything cleaner and organized.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 23, 2023, 04:32:04 PM
As you aren't confortable with vfootball results and this category of gambling leads you to feel upset after all, it's better that you avoid it futurely, going only for the normal sports betting category on real events which are more unlikely and harder to be manipulated and fixed. Personally I also have a bad impression regards virtual sports, because when we bet on the favorite and the team loses, we always end with the feeling we were cheated by the system.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 23, 2023, 03:30:30 PM
The most entertaining, well done and complete Play to Earn games developed so far didn't show any respect and consideration for the community of players, rather their only goal was to milk money from players, without caring about long term goals and survival of the game. They were MIR4 and Ni No Kuni. Bots and toxic players killed the environment. And that is so sad, because the games were really good and promising.

With some adjustments those games could be popular until nowadays, while working as side income for many players. If at some point in the future a studio comes with a similar idea, but propitiating a friendly environment for every players (not only the addicted, wealthy ones) I think it will be a huge success.

It would always be a non-stop race - devs versus botters. The botters always find a way. Look at runescape for example - even with all the ban waves, people still bot to this day.
Such game would need to be profitable as a business and have really good funding to be able to fight back botters.
If developers manage to keep the environment of the game at Runescape's level it's already a good thing, because as we see, despite bots harming the game for decades already, they aren't able to completely destroy it. Moreover, there are players making income from Runescape, so it's an example of sustainable "play to earn" game, even though it's forbidden to trade gold and items for real money by the rules.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 22, 2023, 06:00:01 PM
One of the features presented by CBDCs is the fact they are highly traceable by the regulator body behind it.
For some gamblers it may not be an issue, but for others I believe that is a big cons, therefore they will tend to avoid gambling with CBDCs, still going for fiat (as we have right now), bitcoin and altcoins (especially stablecoins).

Everyone who have concerns regards privacy will try avoiding this category of currency, and in case CBDCs find a fertile land in gambling industry, it will mean most gamblers aren't worried about their funds and financial routine being tracked by the Central Bank. So let's see.

2253  Economy / Economics / Re: White House - The Biden Administration thinks Economy is disturbed due to Crypto on: March 22, 2023, 04:33:24 PM
I'm glad we don't need Biden Administration's approval or endorsement in order to adopt cryptocurrencies for ourselves. People shouldn't expect a different stance from politicians, because they will go always against everything which gives autonomy and freedom to the common citizen they try to keep under the control of the state's forces. I understand the concern regards scam schemes being operated making use of cryptocurrencies, though.

That is a real alert crypto enthusiasts should be aware about, so they can avoid losing money for such thieves futurely.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 3 Reasons Why Cytpocurrency Gambling is more Addictive than Fiat Gambling! on: March 22, 2023, 04:15:18 PM
Crypto gambling is more addicting just because it's more accessible. You can gamble from anywhere at any moment of your day and all you need is an internet connection, which is pretty common everywhere nowadays. The possibility of accessing a gambling platform on your smartphone anytime is really addicting, as many people find themselves with nothing to do along the day, on different moments, so they immediately go to the smartphone. Some access social medias, videos, games while others will go to directly to crypto gambling.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game do you think is a Game of Chance or a Game of Skill? on: March 22, 2023, 02:57:52 PM
Games of skills are games where the determinant factor towards the final result will be skills, while at games of luck the determinant factor will be luck, despite the experience of the gambler on those games.

As I see, in every games mentioned (poker, slots, baccarat and blackjack), the determinant factor is luck, without any doubts, so all of them are games of luck.

On the other hand, if you bet with your friend you could beat him on a PVP match at any online video-game we could be talking about a game of skill, since the main factor driving your bet to the victory is your personal skills on that game in particular. If you are good on it, you will win. If you are bad, you will lose. And that can't be changed on long run.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: March 21, 2023, 06:45:23 PM
Features:

Huge variety of games and different sections (sports, live tables, etc); 6
Good bonus/reward program; 8
Good looking, intuitive and fast user interface; 9
Good help desk; 3
Strong community/ Reputation; 10
The age of the site; 5
Casino's own token that pays dividends / ability to mine it by gambling; 2
Instant deposits & payments; 7
No Kyc; 1
Nr of payment methods; 4

I think "no KYC" is the less important feature right now, because it's just not possible to demand it from popular consolidated platforms. We know they have to follow strict protocols imposed by regulators to remain active and legalized on the industry.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Given an option between Bitcoin and Fiat which do you prefer? on: March 21, 2023, 05:37:47 PM
Of course bitcoin. There are some years already that I totally exchanged my savings into bitcoin and no longer hold fiat, besides the amount I need for daily expenses. I did this after concluding I was just losing purchasing power by holding fiat on my bank account to earn interest inferior to the inflation of the country. So far I have no regrets for doing this.

I just have to control my emotions and finances in a way I'm aware I might not be able to spend money as I wish on the moment I wish, due to the bearish market which pushes bitcoin downside. The cons is that it freezes life a little bit, but on the other hand I have the certain I'm building something more valuable and worthful on long term.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we build a strong community of supporters for crypto projects ? on: March 21, 2023, 04:53:53 PM
First of all the proposal behind the project must be original, innovative and useful in order to bring organical support to your local community. If you are able to offer a product like this, I believe more than 50% of the way is already paved.

After that you have another factors, but the main one is marketing, as you need to promote it to reach the maximum number os crypto enthusiasts as possible, while also attracting speculators' attention and interest to give your project some boost, especially at the beginning, that is when you are trying to consolidate your token or coin inside crypto market.

A powerful marketing strategy is to be generous with your initial public. If you are confident your concept is going to make the difference, I'm sure you won't bother investing a decent sum of money on this stage of the process.
2259  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 21, 2023, 04:32:56 PM
However, have you thought about the losses in exchange for the material gains ? When you barely make ends meet, you'll bust yourself to make more money; when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring. I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.
Both situations happen where there is an imbalance in life. These people aren't using the pursuit for money as a tool to achieve happiness (that should be the final goal of an individual, accordingly to Aristotle). Instead, they are pursuing money solely to achieve more money, what after all makes no sense! Then there comes the boredom, loneliness and emptiness feelings, as nothing seems to have been conquered for real.

And the only solution for this issue is to change the way you see life, what you expect from it and how you behave during your lifespan. It's not so easy to change for better, because there are lots of negative influences surrounding us daily, especially on the media and internet.
2260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much money is considered as "invest only what you can afford to lose" on: March 21, 2023, 04:18:21 PM
I think it is impossible to specify the amount that is considered as "afford to lose", as each person is an individuality, everyone have different needs, income and lifestyle. "Afford to lose" amount is the amount of money a person can earn easily and quickly from my mind. Imho, that amount should not be large, because loosing large amount often born such ideas as "for that money I would have bought ...", and a person start to bother a lot or start to feel pity.
Yes, this is a personal question that will have different answers in each case. However, I think there is no mistery or difficult on finding the correct result in each case. It's just the amount you can afford to lose: money amount you won't need later for your basic needs. Maybe the amount of money the person uses for eating out sometimes, buying superfluous goods, or just the spare money left after all monthly expenses are paid.

For some people it will be 5$, 10$, 50$, 100$, 500$, 1000$... And even more. The important is to put this money into good use.
