2241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin War on: February 15, 2022, 06:28:48 AM
What do you mean by "large scale battle"?Do you mean a real war? No,I don't think so.
Even the so called "pro-Bitcoin" countries aren't that "pro-Bitcoin"(maybe except El Salvador).
They are more like neutral and liberal towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but that doesn't mean that they actually like Bitcoin/crypto.No country in the world would bother fighting for Bitcoin.
There's always a possibility for the pro-Bitcoin countries to become anti-Bitcoin.
El Salvador turned into a pro-Bitcoin country only because the president of El Salvador is a hardcore Bitcoin maximalist, not because the people of El Salvador are really fascinated of Bitcoin.
2242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New and emerging Cryptocurrencies? on: February 14, 2022, 12:05:05 PM
Does anyone know how to monitor new and emerging cryptocurrencies?
I hear about these floats of new cryptocurrencies but have not idea how to know when they're coming.

Thanks

Nobody is going to spoon feed you OP.
Just use your brain.Where do these emerging altcoin/shticoin/token projects promote their stuff?
Social media,Reddit,Forums, coin listing websites, etc. The forum members before me have already answered this question.
My question is why do you even care about upcoming altcoins/tokens?Do you expect to find "the new Bitcoin" or "the new Ethereum" among the ocean of shitcoins?Or maybe you want to find the new dogecoin/shiba inu?
It seems to me that you want to jump into the pump&dump shitcoin market. Grin
Good luck with this and be careful. The only people who are making money out of the shitcoins are their developers.
2243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin tagged to be on same line with the Nasdaq 100 assets ??? on: February 14, 2022, 11:45:43 AM
Nasdaq is not a stock.Nasdaq is an index which is combining a bunch of stocks.
Bitcoin is being compared to stocks all the time.Bitcoin was compared to gold and fiat currencies ever since it was created.
Both stocks, commodities and fiat currencies are being traded on the financial market and their value/prices goes up and down.Bitcoin is being traded on the cryptocurrency markets and it's value/price goes up and down. This is the only thing stocks, commodities, fiat currencies and Bitcoin have in common.
Saying that there is a correlation between the Bitcoin price and Nasdaq is just a speculation.
Sometimes both Bitcoin and Nasdaq follow the same market trend, but that's a coincidence(or they just react to the same FUD news coming from the big governments/central banks).
Nobody can prove that just correlation actually exists.

2244  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 14, 2022, 07:37:59 AM
Bitcoin is fully decentralized which is why I think it doesn't have to compete with Fiat at all, those who needs the decentralized idea should just keep using BTC as it is, we all know that CBDC will run on the blockchain too but in centralised form so where thus this leave Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is fully decentralized only if you are using it with your own cold wallet.
Bitcoin is as centralized as fiat,if you are relying on a cryptocurrency exchange or online BTC wallet to store your Bitcoins.
Bitcoin and fiat aren't competing, because you could buy fiat with BTC and BTC with fiat. The Bitcoin price is measured in fiat money. If BTC and fiat were competing, all the central banks in the world would ban BTC/fiat trading and they would try to destroy Bitcoin, because BTC is a competitor to their precious fiat.
The idea of Bitcoin "competing" against fiat is popular mostly among the fanatic diehard Bitcoin fans, who think that Bitcoin can become the true global currency of the future.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 14, 2022, 07:22:19 AM
I'm pretty sure that Rangnick is going to fail at Manchester United. They can't even beat Norwich and their performance is horrible.I guess that all the magic of CR7 is gone and he can't save United with his late goals. There's something wrong with Manchester United. So many good managers failed and no one can come close to the success of sir Alex Ferguson.
Newcastle United will survive this season and the new owners will start investing in better players probably during  the summer. However, they have to careful with picking the right manager, because money isn't everything in football.
Even some the richest clubs are failing miserably, when they play against smaller clubs.
2246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wouy you improve about Bitcoin if you had the chance ? on: February 14, 2022, 06:53:59 AM
In as much as my private key gives me full control of my funds and it grants me access to sign a transaction if it gets misplaced then I'm doom for life. What if there was an improvement on this maybe a way of recovering back ones private key if it gets misplaced even if it would take a proof of work alogrithm or even a more tudious process but having a chance to get back lost wallets in cases of carelessness or maybe hazardous damage since it's not advisable to store private keys online nor would it possible for everyone to memorize this combined alpha-numeric values of SHA256 alogrithm

What you are suggesting(a system to recover private keys)would most likely open the door for multiple scam attempts.
We would have to create a centralized entity,in order to handle the process of recovering lost private keys. This would totally compromise the entire purpose of Bitcoin, which is eliminating the human factor and any control over the blockchain coming from a centralized entity.
The only thing I would change about Bitcoin(if I had the powers and knowledge) would be making BTC mining more energy efficient and reducing the amount of electricity, which is being consumed by the BTC miners.
2247  Economy / Economics / Re: Sustainability in Bitcoin Renewable Energy on: February 13, 2022, 12:15:03 PM
The idea of utilizing the heat, which was produced from Bitcoin mining isn't something new and groundbreaking.
The problem is that the heat from BTC mining simply isn't enough to be used effectively as a byproduct.
The second problem is that this idea can be applied mostly in the northern countries, where the weather is cold.
I'm sure that a new type of BTC mining hardware will be created in the future.A BTC mining hardware, which can produce more heat by consuming less electricity,so that the heat can be used for warming up our homes during the winter, while reducing our electricity costs.I might be a dreamer, but who knows. Grin
2248  Economy / Economics / Re: US inflation reached 7% in December as prices rise at rates unseen in decades on: February 13, 2022, 11:52:07 AM
The US Federal Reserve has to be very careful when raising the interest rates, because having too high interest rates will make repaying the government debt really expensive and difficult.
That's why I think that Federal Reserve will increase the interest rates just a little bit.Nothing too extreme.
The institutional investors, who are usually buying government bonds are most likely not interested in Bitcoin, since they want a lower risk/reward ratio.
The Bitcoin investors are more aggressive and risk seeking.
2249  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 13, 2022, 07:09:19 AM
General opinion is that a side job is one that supports the main income of an individual, often times perceived as something that brings little money to add to what you make from your day job. If Mr X earns better from a side job when compared to the income from his career option, does the side job still qualify to be called a side job?

No,it doesn't.
If you are making more money with your side job than your main job, this means that your side job is your main job.Why are you even asking this question?Do you have a main job and a side hustle?
Many people think that your main job is your main income source and your side hustle is a business, that you want to build slowly,in order to replace your 9/5 job someday.
I also think that "having a career" is becoming kinda obsolete, because nowadays the economy is more flexible and kinda chaotic and not many people could stay 15-20 years in the same company,so they could climb the corporate ladder.People often have to  change their jobs and work in different industries.
Perhaps they could make a career working in only one profession for different companies.

2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BABYLONIA.APP WHERE THE FUN STARTS on: February 13, 2022, 06:49:24 AM
OP has to provide more info about the developers team behind this project,if he really wants funding.
This looks more like a one-man project to me.This forum thread is basically a logo and an infographic, followed by a bunch of links.
A Linktree link, where OP has posted the website and all social media accounts?
I have never seen anyone here using Linktree links on the forum. Grin It seems a little bit amateurish, but who cares.
Anyway, the concept and the main ideas of this project seem pretty vague to me.
It's just a bunch of cool sounding buzzwords, without any clear idea.
If OP really wants investors, there's another forum for this. The gambling forum is promotion of your fully functional crypto casino, not for projects that are looking for funding.
Good luck with this project,OP.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 13, 2022, 06:26:32 AM
Nobody gives a flying f*** about your opinions. Grin
If you like ethereum and shitcoins that much, then just buy ETH and shitcoins and expect their prices to go x100.Good luck with this. There's no need to shit over Bitcoin, when you praise altcoins.
The ethereum price will never increase 5 times. You just made me laugh. This is totally delusional.
Even 50% price increase would be too much for ethereum.
There are some cool DeFi/altcoin projects here and there, but I'm always skeptical and I would never buy coins/tokens,that are issued by a brand new project.
I think that this forum post should be moved into the Altcoin discussion forum, since OP is praising all the altcoins. Grin
2252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 11, 2022, 11:29:36 AM
Quote
I sometimes think that bitcoin and crypto market are now matured and we may not see extended bull or bear runs. Bitcoin will reach a hundred thousand dollars or more but it won't be a parabolic move. What are your thoughts on this ?

No,the market isn't matured and it will never mature. This has nothing to do with how the crypto traders are behaving.
Bitcoin is a scarce asset and that's why the high price volatility will remain forever and we will be witnessing many more bull runs and big price drops.
Bitcoin needs to be way less scarce,in order to reduce the price volatility and make the price movements more predictable and stable(which will never happen).
The Bitcoin price will hit a 100K ATH only,if a new FOMO phase begins. This means a significant price increase, which will happen pretty fast.We shouldn't expect slow and steady growth towards 100K.
2253  Economy / Gambling / Re: MysticBets.io - Community Owned Sportsbook on: February 11, 2022, 06:56:59 AM
Welcome! I see that you let users sign up or sign in using Metamask may I ask where we can buy your token? and what are the benefits and perks of holding your coin? can we stake them? do we earn dividends with it? can we place bet using it? or earn it if we place bets?

OP has a link at the bottom of his website pointing to another website, where the gamblers could buy the token.

I don't understand how this website is owned by community and what community is that?

Every business wants to "build a community" nowadays. This has become more like a marketing catch phrase.
I really don't believe that this website is going to be owned by the community.
The website looks nice, but many people have pointed out that it looks like a Sportsbet.io clone.
This isn't necessarily bad,but using templates from other casinos doesn't look professional and it seems a little bit suspicious.
Anyway,good luck with this project,OP.
2254  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to make bitcoin a currency on: February 10, 2022, 06:46:05 AM
I think that we should stop caring that much about what the Russian government/central bank thinks about crypto. This week, they are friendly, next week they will become hostile towards crypto.
It's a never ending roller coaster.
These proposals are just proposals.A proposal doesn't mean anything.Even if they change their legislation in regards to crypto, that still doesn't mean that much, because they could change their laws, rules and regulations anytime they want.
Russia is becoming the new China.I got tired reading news about the opinions of the Russian government in regards to cryptocurrencies. Most of these news are rumors and clickbait gossips.
2255  Economy / Gambling / Re: Paddleboat Mississippi, new poker site with low fees and good privacy on: February 10, 2022, 06:25:21 AM
It took you one year in order to develop this website?
Sorry for the question, but are you a newbie programmer?
I see that you aren't making this website for the sake of making money and growing a gambling business.
Perhaps I will try the free version, but I'm busy right now.
I don't really think that somebody is going to bet actual Bitcoins on a website that doesn't look legit enough and doesn't have enough gamblers.Maybe the poker players can use it to train their skills for free, but there are way bigger platforms for playing poker for free.
2256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin literally fixes this on: February 10, 2022, 06:08:53 AM
The real problem here is that the protesters are asking for funding.
I have nothing against their protest. This is their civil right, but saying something like "give us money,so we could protest" is kinda weird to me.If you really want to protest, you could protest without asking for donations.
Anyway, having a centralized entity, that can redistribute all the funding to the people, who need that money is a must(unfortunately). That's why charity foundations exist.
It's theoretically possible for all protesters to just gather a huge list of their own BTC addresses and post them online to collect donations, but what's the guarantee that some fraudster won't add his address to the list?
Charity is always about trust,it's not about the money.
Trust is still required, even if Bitcoin replaces fiat money in these charity campaigns.
2257  Economy / Economics / Re: Fungibility on: February 09, 2022, 12:43:24 PM
Like the roman emperor Vespasian once said "Money does not stink".
Bitcoin is a form of money,so this applies to Bitcoin as well.
There's aren't "clean" or "dirty" Bitcoins. Some money/BTC are acquired via illegal activities, but that doesn't change their value. If the government confiscates all the BTC acquired via illicit activities, will those BTC remain "dirty"?
NO,because the government will most likely list those BTC at an auction and sell them to the highest bidder(this has been done before) and those "dirty" BTC will go back into circulation without any problems.
2258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kazakhstan proposes power price hikes and taxes targeting crypto miners on: February 09, 2022, 12:26:03 PM
Unfortunately all the countries in the world, that have cheap electricity are kinda hostile towards cryptocurrency mining. This isn't going to change.Even if all crypto mining switched to green energy, the governments and all the anti-crypto people will keep whining about crypto mining.
China is in the past, but there are more and more FUD news about Russia,Kazakhstan or even the United States trying to limit cryptocurrency mining.Of course, most of these FUD news are lies and manipulation.
I guess that we will have to learn to live with this constant crypto mining FUD.Most of it actually doesn't deserve our attention.
2259  Economy / Economics / Re: Worried about inflation? In Argentina, it’s a way of life. on: February 09, 2022, 06:59:51 AM
There was a time when the national currency of Argentina was tied to the US dollar, but the politicians in Argentina are so corrupt and stupid that they can't cut the government spending and money printing.
That's why the national currency in Argentina is so weak-big budget deficits, the central bank of Argentina not having enough reserves in gold and global currencies, out of control money supply, more government debt.
The IMF cannot help Argentina, because the IMF can't force the government of Argentina to cut the government spending and stop the money printing.
No bank/institutional investor in the world trusts the government of Argentina.
The situation in Venezuela is even worse, compared to Argentina, and AFAIK,the situation in Turkey is getting similar to the Latin American countries.

2260  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Slots Games to Play in 2022 on: February 09, 2022, 06:29:37 AM
Aren't slot games basically the same(with small differences, like RTP)?
The slot game concept is the same, but the graphics and all the flashy images are different.
What' the point of comparing slots games?
You are comparing 5 slots games, but you are providing a link for a review of the first slot game(I'm not going to click on that link). Are you trying to promote King Kong Cash and getting a commission?
Is this your website?Do you want to drive traffic to your website by posting this link here?

Maybe i will sound like an old man with boring grumbling, but i think that the best slots to play in 2022 is .... Nothing  Grin
Guys, better play poker, this is at least don't degenerate you into the monkeys  Cheesy Or some other high strategy gambling games

Yeah, slot games are for the lazy gamblers, but who cares.
If you are having fun playing those games(and the casino isn't trying to scam you by using rigged slot games) everything is fine.
