As soon as people start to use this ignore function, bounty managers would realize that the shitposters' posts won't show up at all in the forum, so they won't pay for them. I don't think that matters much: as long as Google picks up on the links in their signatures, they earn from it.

On topic now, @LoyceV you have included my name on your list of spammers Lol, I didn't notice before. Well, it's not a list of spammers, it's a list of anybody who had posted in that thread. I made the script for iasenko two days ago, and might as well use it for other threads. I've heard reinforcements are arriving. Do tell! I see what you mean now, congratulations!

That means the majority of this forum can't write meaningful posts, isn't it? Correct. Out of more than 2 million accounts, less than 1% has received 1 or more Merit points. The majority of users are either spambots or bounty hunters/account farmers with dozens of accounts.

Bump for visibility, updated last Friday.

(I saw someone say elsewhere that all mods have jurisdiction over newbies, but this isn't true.) That might have been me, I thought this too.

I run a simulation on how Byteball scales in terms of fees collected by witnesses and results are mind boggling: So you figured out that if 1 GB goes up 1 million percent, and the number of transactions goes up 100000%, the revenue per witness goes up 1000000000%? Without checking the rest of your calculations, if you think you can store a database that increases with 86.4 GB per day on a single server type PC, you're going to be disappointed. The witnesses will also need to send massive amounts of data to thousands of clients per second.

Edit1: do you have a Steemit Account? I have, but it's terribly annoying with the steem up and steem down that takes forever and doesn't even work if you don't have balance left or something. I'm not really looking forward to using that again. Or would you be fine holding Steem on Binance? I don't have a Binance account yet. Based on all the "reserved" posts (that didn't happen in my previous thread, there it just took 10 weeks to complete), I'm pretty sure we've reached 10 or more already. So, again, I'm asking for input on how to handle that. Hardcap at 10? Or go up? Then again, I don't really want to install more than 10 wallets, so maybe I should just keep the coins on a few different exchanges?

I have encounter some participants for my signature campaign registered as a Member rank, and few weeks later upon checking, their ranks gets down to jr. member? You shouldn't manage signature campaigns if you can't keep spammers out. I just checked your post history, and can only conclude you're responsible for a large part of the spam on this forum. Don't let Mods do YOUR job for you!

I've just sent these 15 users this message:
"noobinvestor", "kittucrypt", "Timelord2067", "HCP", "Parodium", "Mr.Ease", "buwaytress", "apoorvlathey", "SimplyRouge2", "Hatcher", "Enre", "Blazedout419", "Blazed" , "LightZ", "khufuking", "Steamtyme"
Howdy! You've shown interest in LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment in the past, and were placed on my Unofficial waiting list for Experiment 2.0. This message is to inform you I've created a new thread 2 weeks ago: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: ROUND 2. I've changed the requirements a bit, so just read it and join if you want. Thanks, Loyce I should have sent the PM 2 weeks ago, but didn't take the time to do so until now. Considering I count 7 entries already, I expect this to be filled very soon. I think I can make it bigger than 10 people, but I don't want to change things if the current participants disagree. Thoughts? As an alternative, I can start ROUND 3 while ROUND 2 is active.

74% - 0 post - Brand new I'm pretty sure many of these accounts are owned by spammers, waiting to be needed to run a spambot. I would be in favour of banning all accounts with 0 posts a month after creation. Hi, I am a University student in Hong Kong. I am studying economics. Now, I am doing my honor project which is about the relationship between bitcoin price and Internet variables. The data of Forum Statistics is very useful for my project. Can provide the daily data? Thx
What data do you need exactly? This sounds like an interesting subject that deserves it's own thread to publish your findings from start to end. If you create one, please PM me the link. I may be able to help you with some of your data requirements.

Pretty common theme of lagging behind Bitcoin's performance, but making USD. The first half of last year was the opposite: anybody who created a shitcoin got rich! While some have labeled such events as scams in the past, I think it displays the potential pitfalls of spending your BTC on an investment well. It's more or less a gamble, and all the more reason to limit the amounts "invested". All it takes is just one altcoin that hits 10x to 100x, and this experiment is in profit no matter what the rest does. Stellar Lumens for instance went from 281 sat on October 4, to 3911 sat now. That's 13.9 times more. It's increases like this that keep me (and probably most people) going on altcoins. I hope everyone involved had a positive experience and enjoy their newly acquired USD profits. That's the spirit ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Bitcoin's market dominance dropped from 49.13% on October 4 last year to 43.04% now. But even though altcoins are gaining market share, the total number of altcoins keeps going up, reducing their individual market shares.

Just now I become Full member. You and BitCryptex have upgraded from Member to Full Member today. Calculation will be done with a maximum of 2 qualifying posts per day on average for each rank. if Cooper/Member has at least 45 Merits (10+35)
if Full Member has at least 135 Merits (100+35) Don't spam my thread with made up "facts". @ LoyceV this is why I needed to clear this thing. Many other campaigns have a rule for fix amount merit over the rank requirements. That's why I have a self-moderated thread with a delete button ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I don't really care about what other campaigns do, it just doesn't make any sense to (for example) reject someone who earned 1000 Merit the moment he turns Legendary.

I'm trying to code a bot which automates my daily reporting tasks. The only problem is, there are no set of steps that I could establish which will be performed repeatedly by the bot. If you can pull this off, can I feed your bot reports too? Considering I somehow manage to create a bot that does mass accounts reporting on basis of any set of criteria that I define The criteria will have to change a lot. I can quite easily list thousands of Newbie posts that could be reported as "Insubstantial post", and thus deleted. But doing this manually would drive me crazy, so I only dump lists of spamming accounts once in a while. mods would still need an automation from there side to handle say daily 500 reports generated by the bot.
There's MindlessElectron, although I don't know what it does exactly.

They are banned when spotted.
Assuming they're bots, and Mods are human, Mods can't win this ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

But would appreciate if he can reduce the cut-off mark a little. I realize I set the bar high from the start. My reasoning behind it is that I can always reduce it, if needed. With 9 out of 13 spots filled in just 3 days, I don't think I'll need to lower the bar. page 2 is yet to be filled Thanks to the delete button ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
