2261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why should I use Kucoin over Binance? on: December 05, 2021, 02:13:24 PM
Kucoin if you don't like submitting your KYC details for now, but this will also change over time. Initially, their withdrawal limit was 5 BTC every 24 hours for non verified accounts, but it has since been slashed to 1 BTC. You can deduce from the developments that sooner than later, KYC will also require mandatory KYC verification before trading in their platform.

Binance if you don't care about KYC. They do have lots of coins in there which you can trade on spot market as compared to Kucoin. They have also listed lots of futures and swap contracts in their derivatives market.
2262  Other / Meta / Re: locked my topic, why? on: December 05, 2021, 02:00:37 PM
The fact that it was locked means that the discussions in it are no longer required. You got the answers you need, and it was not the first time you talked about merit when one looks through your post history.

The topic was also in a sense an indirect attempt to beg from merit just like your other reply
Gaining merit shouldn't be your sole purpose here.
2263  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange won't release bitcoins unless I verify identity. Advice appreciated. on: December 05, 2021, 12:36:49 PM
Thanks so much for the replies. I've been following this thread and wanted to post an update:

Paxful told me I must use Jumio to verify my identity because Paxful lacks the capacity to verify user identity. I don't intend to hide my identify from Paxful, but I also don't want Jumio to keep my biometric data and potentially ask for more documents endlessly.

I've spoken to a friend's lawyer who is willing to help me verify my identify for Paxful and sue Paxful if Paxful insists I use Jumio to verify my identity. For now I'll hold off on suing/traveling due to covid. If anyone has anything to add, please feel free to chip in. Thanks.
Most websites or centralized exchanges I have come across use automated services like Jumio to process KYC data. Sorry about your situation but looks like you have only 2 choices here.

Either do the KYC or accept to lose the $1,000. They are always going to refer to their Privacy policy and terms of service whenever you try to make an argument out of it.

Never keep coins in a website for long periods of time as terms and conditions can change overnight and there's nothing much you can do about it once you get caught up
2264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IS DEMOCRACY THE BEST OPTION FOR GOVERNANCE? on: December 05, 2021, 12:07:07 PM
Yes, "DEMOCRACY THE BEST OPTION FOR GOVERNANCE"
Many systems were practised in the world, but they failed like a dictatorship, Communism, imperialism, socialism, martial law etc but they could not get success. Democracy is the Government of people by people and for the people. This system of rule has the moral support of the people. People in this system are satisfied and favour their representative GOVT.
In a democratic system, Govt has a limited period to work. If they will not work according to the expectations of the people. In the next term, They will be rejected.
Democracy is a failed experiment, and it's the bitter truth not so many in this modern society will accept. If you don't agree with me, just pick up one of the international News channels, watch it for a week and see how messed up the world is.

Riots, abuse of human right by the so-called security agencies, corruption, coups because certain people disagree with the ruling government etc

I think all the problems arose when Europeans tried to colonize different parts of the world and partition them into different small zones called Countries. They brought along with them their modern political structure, which have failed to work to this date in most of those colonies.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: December 04, 2021, 05:35:09 PM
Barcelona is entering a period of transition, Xavi arrive as head coach is expected to increase Barcelona playing level again. Losing an important figure is quite painful for Barcelona. Lionel Messi is the determinant of the rhythm of the Barcelona game. Depay looks pretty good when played on the barcelona front line, but he has not been able to replace the position left by Messi.
This year competition barcelona will not get a single title, Being able to finish in the top 4 is already a great achievement for Barcelona.
It was so blind of them to think that Messi was going to play for Barcelona forever. And now potentially without enough money for shopping, it's going to be a bumpy ride for Xavi and his faithfuls.

How long is the Barcelona management willing to see their team go through horrible matches and losses?
How long is the Barcelona management willing to see their club go without major silverware?

All this will depend on how patient they are and how much time they will be willing to give Xavi.
2266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it feel to get merit? on: December 04, 2021, 04:51:12 PM
@COOLCRYPTOVATOR gave you some very good advice, I wish you could follow it instead of focusing on getting merit.

What can I be proud of kelonmusk is just a beginner with no merit  Cry
Just concentrate on contribution to the forum rather than posting about merit. Read more and gain more knowledge, so you can contribute and distribute that knowledge among forum users.

Just make valuable posts and help members. The good thing about engaging in constructive discussions is that you get to learn a lot. Merit will just come as a bonus
2267  Other / Meta / Re: hi all on: December 04, 2021, 04:11:23 PM
If the codes of the script have information useful for discussion and not some malicious script, then yeah, it's allowed. Just make separate posts one after the other, each with characters that are less than the maximum required

You can also post your script in sites like pastebin then link them to the forum post.

2268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 03, 2021, 10:26:27 PM
Of course it's the same. If not then show me the differences  Smiley
Exaggeration/hyperbolization/overdoing these are simple logical techniques that help us to more clearly see some phenomenon and evaluate it.
I gave you various examples that are similar to what happened to De Gea, like

1. The last defender pulling a hamstring while trying to defend against a striker, who then scores a goal. You, as a referee, do you cancel the goal?
2. Two defenders getting "put out of actions" when they collide, get injured (not head injury) and the opponent scores a goal

The above examples are all up to the sportsmanship level of the striker, like it was in this case, or else if they go ahead and score. The goal will be counted.

If we go by the logic of immediately stopping the game every time a player or keeper for this matter rolls on the ground, then what will stop keepers from falling "unconscious" every time there is a corner kick or free kick, and the opponent is about to score a goal?   Smiley
2269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has my data been breached? on: December 03, 2021, 09:55:39 PM
The good news, however, is that it's by an old email address, which I rarely use now, but does indeed still feature some websites I still use (such as Bitcointalk, old Coinbase account, Blockchain.com wallets). It's safe to say, that I need to take some precautions, despite the associated email address being old.
I have had my login data get leaked before due to a data breach on one of the forums. You might want to check all the old site you registered using the old email address and password. This includes other important sites/apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Spotify accounts, Amazon or any other account that may be connected to your PayPal or credit card etc

That where most hackers look into apart from the crypto exchanges and web wallets
2270  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking for a result in pdf of a pcr on: December 03, 2021, 09:16:18 PM
I am not sure why you are looking for the PCR test results, but the above user who told you to contact him via telegram has some red flags due to some users complaining that he scammed them.

Be very careful when dealing with him. Use Escrow if possible.
nutildah    2021-06-09    Reference    there are several scam accusations against this user, trade with caution
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 03, 2021, 06:56:37 PM
This is not another scenario, this is the same scenario, only exaggerated to make it easier to evaluate. Now I am too excited after the match, tomorrow I will watch this episode on record again and think about it again.
It's not the same. Good thing you acknowledge the exaggeration  Cheesy

We are so quick on criticizing the Ref and VAR but completely forget how the player in question acted.

Fred just stepped on De Gea, and he was all over the ground coiled up and covering his face as if he had been shot by a sniper, I think in his mind he thought it was an opponent who had stepped on him. It's pathetic how players act these days after just being merely touched.
2272  Economy / Reputation / Re: Full Member Merit Abuser and Bounty Cheater on: December 03, 2021, 06:46:38 PM
OP could you please bring us to light on how the accounts were involved in bounty cheating and what bounties they cheated in. Maybe the culprit and all his connected account could be tagged on the basis of bounty abuse rather than merit abuse. I personally never tagged a user for exchanging merit between the alts though the practice is highly discouraged in the forum.
2273  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Blackjack.fun Signature Campaign | Up to $75/wk | 5x Hero/Legendary open on: December 03, 2021, 05:31:29 PM
Hi sujonali1819

Still open?
You were accepted into the campaign last week, but you did bother wearing a signature, and you were removed according to the update in the spreadsheet. So there is an 1 open Hero/Legendary position, but I don't know if the manager will reconsider your application.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 02, 2021, 09:59:25 PM
Formally, you are right, it is difficult to argue here - and in fact, I already wrote this in my message. Another thing is that if you break these episodes (including your examples) by timing, then everything may look different. It is one thing when the collision occurs during the same game episode, and another thing when it occurs before the game episode in which the ball is scored.
Generally speaking, if the goalkeeper lost consciousness during a shot on goal, then this is his problem and the ball must be counted, another thing is if he lost consciousness and a player of the opposing team noticed this before the referee and hit the goal from the center of the field, scoring a goal. It already looks a little different  Grin
Losing consciousness is a totally different scenario. In fact. If it was even a simple head collusion. The ref would have blown the whistle immediately, whether the team had an advantage or not. He wouldn't have waited that long.

Sometimes it actually depends on the opponent. They can decide to kick the ball out if they notice that the player is not OK and this is what we know as fair play, otherwise they can still go ahead and play despite the other player being down if the ref has not blown the whistle.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 02, 2021, 09:42:59 PM
For some reason, I have big doubts that Arsenal scored a goal in accordance with the rules. Even though the goalkeeper is injured by a player on his own team, how does this cancel out the fact that he was unable to continue playing? The Arsenal players did not even rejoice at the goal scored because they did not think that it would be counted. Such formalism in refereeing reminds me of the match in the Cup of Nations Spain - France when a goal against Spain was also formally scored according to the rules, although everyone believes that it was done from offside.
But the referee blew the whistle after they had scored. Had he blown right before the scored, maybe it wouldn't have counted.

Let me ask you a simple question, assuming 2 defenders of the same team collide and fall down, and the opponent picks up the ball and scores the goal. Are you going to say it shouldn't count because the 2 defenders were unable to continue playing?

Hell, I have even ever seen numerous goals get scored and counted when the last defender pulls a hamstring while trying to run after the ball against the opponent.
2276  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2K merit club :-) on: December 02, 2021, 08:39:40 PM
Congratulations @Royse777, that's quite a milestone so many of us may not attain. I mean, I have only attained ~600 Merits in the last 3 years. I might as well take 3 more years to reach 2000  Grin
2277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is best between Metaverse Coin and Web 3.0 Coin on: December 02, 2021, 07:54:25 PM
Will the hype of metaverse be sustained? Or are we gonna have another trend that will shift the focus?
Obviously, it's just hype. Overtime the focus will shift.

Remember the ICOs? Then the STOs, then the IEOs and the IDO's? Who talks about them right now?
Who talks about the web 2.0 today? Grin

This Bull runs started with DeFi's and then there was the Meme coin hype and NFTs. Right now it's all about Metaverse.
2278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is best between Metaverse Coin and Web 3.0 Coin on: December 01, 2021, 09:57:02 PM
Which future are you talking about?

In case you just joined the cryptoverse then you are in for one hell of a ride. Metaverse is just another one of those hypes that will die out soon and 95% of the tokens riding on its hype won't recover from the fall by the time we get to the next bull run
2279  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Solved] UnioChange exchanger is scam!! on: December 01, 2021, 09:34:13 PM
It's good to know that both parties came to a common understanding and the issue was resolved. As a result of this incident, I do hope that both sides learnt a lesson from the mistakes they made and this sort of thing never happens again.

Kudos to UnioChange for paying up part of the money. Most service I know of wouldn't even have bothered.
2280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need a Coinbase Wallet, as well as the Coinbase account? on: December 01, 2021, 09:09:48 PM
I MUST go online to Receive the seed-phrase in the first place,
and that seed-phrase is sent to me along with the wallet number.  Correct?

Thus, THEY (the wallet vendor) have (or had) all relevant details.  Correct?
Good wallets like Electrum can let you generate a seed phrase even without you being connected to the internet. You can't do this with a wallet like coinbase wallet you were talking about.

Quote
So, to be Really Safe, we must get only open-source wallets.  Correct?
Open source wallets are usually transparent. You get to know if there is malicious code in the source code or not. With close sourced wallets, you are not sure what they do with your seeds, let say when you try to import your account.
