I will receive my s1 next week,   what altcoins you mine with s1? . And i want to buy a corsair cx750m is a good psu?  Thanks

You will spend to much money for PSU, just go for dell poweredge 2950 750w and it will cost you like $25 or 15gbp

The more powerful versions of those server power supplies (2000w) that can handle 3-4 S1s are the only way to go if you have an isolated remote set-up where jetnoise is a non issue because the cost advantage over ATX form factor power supplies is huge. On the other hand if your just looking to power 1 or 2 S1's in your house I would rather go the with an ATX PS that just plugs right in without the need for adapters or soldering wires, is quiet and can be reused for other things or easily sold.

This jet noise is easy to work around with adding resistor 47kohm to red wire on psu fan.
This resistor will lower speed about 2/3 which is more than enough cool and keep noise down.

47 kOhm is nonsense. You probably mean 47 Ohm... But guys, you should really care about psu efficiency, not price. If it's running 24/7, it's much more important.

Snap, you right.
Why i did use that kOHM i dont know.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Yes, minerstore.com was purchase 2 weeks ago by Bitmain, and then loaned to us to put up a website dedicated for selling ASIC hardware that can be purchased with credit card. So how do we have access to a pallet of miners per day already? It's because we have sold on a few other websites that I own, and Amazon.com. Not sure if you knew this, but there are other ways to sell items other than through just 1 website.....

This just made me so laugh.
Other websites which you own? And BITMAIN have to purchase and setup yours? So you saying domain, shop everything is given to you by bitmain?

Please name few sites which you own. I will be more than happy to show you mister you talking bullshit.
Amazon? Please post your account so i can verify that.

You cannot start your own thread because as you mention "vanished" in thin air of BTCtalk, but you calling yourselve owner of few sites and pallets of units sold already?

Please post TX or wallet to prove you really did purchase any amount of miners.

Why you avoiding this?
Maybe you will tell me now bitmain sending you pallets of goods and not taking anything for it?

Just a headsup, the CX500 on sale at newegg for $50 + $20 rebate.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027
I have 1 on an oc'd ant and it works great. If you can find a way to turn in multiple rebates, then you can get a bunch of these at $30 each. Would only cost $150 to power 1TH/s.

You can do that with 3 of these for slightly more, but you can power 6 ants and no mail in rebates
http://minersource.net/products/dell-750w-psu-slash-adapter

Whats the point buying piece of pcb which cost more than psu?
I dont get it, check this:

Cables costs: 2gbp
psu cost is :12gbp

You can plug up to 2 units on one PSU by them cables.

All my PSU have mods to slow the fan. As original one are sooo loud.

No issues what so ever.

Where can i buy then necessary cables for using dell with s1? . And u know how much kw/h consumes s1 with that dell psu? ?

This is on my psu- cables done myself. Overal cost was like 5 gbp per pair

If you are running the miner in your house the Dell PSU is loud! I like the eVGA 1300 watt. It will run 3 oc ants and can be found for $200 or less and is silent.

Not true, please find thread about adding 47ohm resistor to fan in psu. I wil add video shortly of 3 dell units and noise what they making
Video showing 3 units on test bench in spare room: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHz2XERDvak&feature=youtu.be
IBM 2000w can be grabbed for like $60
and you talking about psu for $200. obviously you doing this as hobby.

Hi Everyone,

We have been working with Bitmain to get a web store set up for customers to purchase their products with cred/debit card and have products shipped from Denver, CO. Check us out, we opened for business today! www.minerstore.com. We have the S2 in stock, ships ASAP from Denver. We also allow picking up in person, and you can pay in person too!

Are the coupon codes you accept bitmains coupon codes? Otherwise it seems like a $740 (inc delivery) penalty to purchase through you. ??

Sorry we missed your comment. We are working to accept discounts on the S2 units for a limited time. In the mean time, you are correct, it would be less expensive to purchase direct from bitmain.

Just to say minerstore.com / Your Miner Store IS NOT an authorized reseller or Bitmain Tech Ltd.

Thank Juan- i knew something is not right with them. 10 days website is up and they already have 60 units in stock or gone.
I like when people calling them self names but them names means nothing.

3 more antminer S1 units came in today - 4.5TH Smiley

however, 1 unit arrived with a lot of thermal paste leakage, and another took damage to the capacitor (see pic below).

Right now i am running it with the capacitor pulled off fully (cleanly removed, it practically fell off on its own when i reached in to grab it out with a pair of tweezers) and 16 of the chips on that board show 'x' and the hashrate of the unit (stock clocks) is 155GH.  Rebooting is a crapshoot of anything from all 36 working down to only 2 or 3 working.

should be a clean and easy fix monday - I dont trust my precision soldering enough to DIY a small component, and my base of operations has someone capable

Nice setup, can you advice whats you using on side of S1? is it wooden board or plexi glass ?
2269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) Batch 4 is open for sale on: May 03, 2014, 09:40:39 AM

Hi again,

I really don't have the time to explain how a legit company runs, but I will entertain your last few questions and possibly shed more insight on how we do business. To start off, I do apologize if I misunderstand what you are writing. I am finding it hard to understand a few things you have written. None the less, I think I get the general idea you are trying to portray.

First off, I see that you are trying to twist the meaning of our words. Yes, technically the miners are not "untouched". Any person with a brain should know that any electronics that get manufactured, whether it be a microwave, tv or Antminer, has to go through a series of tests to ensure functionality and etc. Yes, bitmain typically does a 24 hour burn in test on all miners we get. That is typical for any PCB/electronics board manufacture. It weeds our poorly manufactured products from the good ones. This is one way for us to know that miners we sell with work on arrival. Second, we only get palatalized shipments. I have worked years in the shipping industry, and personally can guarantee that shipments on pallets have lower chances of getting damaged then single boxed units. Hence, we trust our shipper. Third, we are not stupid. We obviously have our own mining operation, and any miners that have a damaged box will go into our own mining operation, just in case they are DOA. Its called sample testing (take a few from a batch, test, if test is passed, batch is considered good). Lastly, we rarely have miners just sitting around in boxes ready to ship, hence we are not stupid. This is because we receive a pallet or two per day, and by the end of the day, the miners on the pallets are sold. I would call this, good logistical planning.

Now, for one main point on why we are not dumb enough to user the miners and then sell them (I will give you the short version). We are not Bitmain, we do not have the ability to pay whatever we want per miner. We don't build them, they do and they charge us for ever miner. If you haven't noticed, the Antminers typically drop in price everyday. Some days are stable, some are not. If we used miners and then sold them, it would net us a loss.

Example!- Lets say we have 60 units in stock today and we decide to use them to mine. Great, we would net $300 in BTC. However, lets say bitcoins price drops $10 tomorrow. Bitmain may then also choose to lower their price to 0.5 BTC. If you calculate, that means our hardware would lose $1800 in value over 24 hours. But hey, we made $300 in BTC. You may ask then why we don't just mine them for a month? Here is another interesting fact that may blow your mind. If we pull in one pallet a day (60 units), and we sell 1 pallet a day (60 units), then over one months time, we would have sold 1800 units, and brought in 1800 units. In order to mine units for one month and then sell them, we would have to have 1800 units on hand, mining away. I am not sure if that is a lot to you, but it is a TON to us. Who has that kind of space, electricity, cooling and all??? In the end, instead of just doing whatever the heck sounds good, we choose to actually think it through, pull the numbers and plan things out. This is where our statement of "bad for business" comes into play.

In the end, do your research before accusing.

As for what is in stock, like stated above, we typically have around 60 units rolling in and rolling out.

I dont trying twist anything around.
Burning test for 24h? Do you really believe in any of this crap coming from you?
Just because you have fancy logo and accepting cards does not mean you right and i'm wrong.
Keep your examples to someone who actually will believe and are stupid more than anyone else.

Pallet a day(60 units) huh? Why i newer heard about you before? For some reason you hijacked this thread with your own stuff and trying explain me  what?

Sample testing, burning testing etc....all means you using miners end of story. Call this how ever you want its still mining.

When you testing units, what testing pool you using? How do you know they working?

I noticed that any who calling himself legit, reseller and other nice fancy words are always getting angry and upset when some one challenge them.
You saying units are brand spanking new BUT they are tested by bitmain for 24h(which is BS) and you as well.

I suggest you keep all this fancy info for someone who just starting because i dont believe that from let say april 23/04/14 you have sold any of units from that pallet  without notice to this community..

To back up this last sentence here is proof:

This is second check on different site:

So it seems you in the business no more than 10 days and already  with you minerstore you sold pallet a day? When this happened? How its possible S1 was out of stock for few moments and you have 60 units in hand?

If any of it is not true or i made mistake and misread any of your info in your post im sorry but nothing sticks together...

Please start your own thread, dont make bold statements about unused S1 , burning tests , how many units you have in stock etc here as this will be picked up easily by people like me and will be exposed as BS.

Can you provide Tx or anything (wallet, hash)to prove using blockchain you purchased 60 units from bitmain?
2270  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) Batch 4 is open for sale on: May 03, 2014, 01:36:00 AM
@Minerstore

Thanks for clarification.

But first:

Quote
We are prohibited to use miners that are for resell. That would be bad for business, not to mention unethical. We only sell 100% brand new miners, untouched

^^^So in other words you not checking against DOA,miners was newer out of the box?How this would be bad for business? You making money when gear is waiting in warehouse to be sold. In other words you have open safe full of money but you not touching it because it wouldn't be right?

Unfortunately you not selling brand new untouched items as all miners was used by bitmain and i will not believe in that you have miners in your hands which was after production packed in boxes and was waiting to be delivered to you.

Second:

Quote
Additionally, if we sold used equipment, you would not get a full 90 day warranty with bitmain unlike certain companies that sell used miners as new, (won't mention names).

Do you really think anyone will believe in that? Bitmain is doing this all the time-miners overclocked delivered, dusted, heatsinks broken.
Please explain to me how its possible you have S1 different than me or anyone else who ordering from them directly? How miner which is bought and used and will brake cannot be a subject to warranty-because that's what i see in your post.

And to your last sentence: All asics companys doing same stuff-they mining with gear until they die and become nearly obsolete and then they selling to make profit again to people like us.

BTCtalk is not ebay, most people here are smart and not stupid good luck in finding one who will go for your prices and your golden rules. Maybe someone will believe you not using gear to mine for yourselve.

Just curious: how many S1 have you got in stock?

2271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) Batch 4 is open for sale on: May 02, 2014, 11:43:21 PM
Hi Guys,

We are currently working to secure a better price on all the products. I too think $325 is too much, however we pay around 5% to accept credit cards and protect our end from fraud and chargebacks. Not to mention overhead costs and etc. Still, I think we could do better with the price. Stay tuned...

@wolf_miner
We accept USD or bitcoins. Whichever works for you.

@Biffa
We are looking into accepting their coupons. It is possible that we can.

So you not mining with gear which is in your hands?

If payment in BTC you not subject to 5% credit card charge.
Prices way to high.

Difficult for me to believe in that.

the tracking number (actually shipper's reference number) they gave me is now showing tracking information.  my concern (other than this being shipped 7 days later than it was supposed to) is that while the tracking lists 3 packages (for the 3 items i ordered) it only shows 2 packages being picked up.  but at least it shows my stuff is on the way finally!

*EDIT - DHL now lists 3 packages on the tracking.  I think I can expect to see all 3 units by the end of the week.

3 units arrived this morning.  still tweaking them to get them running at 100%.  2 of the units were only showing 2 out of the 4 modules.  i'm working with them to find out why.

These days miners arviving and end customer need to figure out to get it working.  Thats funny...

I have never had an email from Bitmain, Ants always arrive, you can log in to your account and check the status of payment/shipping.

Tracking number usually showing up within 1-2 days of order.

Is the scrypt speed really 88 mh? the screenshot is says 5 sec average is 88 mh/s but the other averages are 77 kh/s?? Can you post more screenshots to confirm this speed please.

In turbo mode yes 86 MH/s avg.

how long to ship out? Are they ready now?

The two miners I received from Bit-tech had signs of use , full of dust.

Means they use them before they ship out.

burning in? test run?

12k In stock , 10k If preorder for 15th May delivery guaranteed.

Yes we do mine with our units , we use our own cash flow to stock up miners and put barely margins , our main profit is in the mining.
Machines are suppoused to last atleast for a year before malfunctioning . Our avalon gen1 is still running without issues.

Ok than, miners are used but priced like new than?
We all know all asics factories doing that but this is just not right.
You making money twice, first when miners is build and hashing for you and second for miner itself.

Not good , not good at all.

Half an inch of dust is not a test run for sure.

I will not trust them again.

We stock them and run them until people buy them. They been running for 10 days.

At least you not hiding that fact...like some

Still, this means every piece of hardware they sell is used which means it has already been exposed to potential risks.  There is a difference between doing a burn-in type test or just ensuring there are no DOAs.

Don't get me wrong, i hate used stuff which is sold as brand new. Piss takers.Nothing more nothing less.
