2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the school lessons of gambling addiction? on: August 31, 2022, 03:07:17 PM
Given all this, do you think it's worth organizing separate lessons in schools designed to tell children about gambling addiction? That is, to tell children about gambling addiction separately from addiction in general - alcohol and drug addiction.
All forms of addictions can pose a danger to children, a separate lesson in school to talk and address all forms of addiction specially can be of great benefit, but a special lesson about gambling addiction outside the other forms of addictions seems unnecessary, after all you can't say for a fact that gambling addiction is the worse of all addictions, there's no need for special attention, all addictions are dangerous and should be discouraged.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: August 30, 2022, 09:39:29 PM
Yes, I also think Arsenal don't have the squad to withstand this pace throughout the season. But, at least, they already have an advantage, which will allow them to guarantee the top places in the table.
Trying to finish in top four before the EPL break for the world cup and then qualifying for the champions league is Arsenal's top priority for me, we don't necessarily need to win the league this season.

Chelsea according to Joe cole may have a lot of questions to answer if the turn of loss is not handled soon.
Chelsea seems not to have a stable first eleven team yet, Reece Jes.would have been a difference in this their game against Southampton. Cucurrella did well trying to get the ball to Sterling a few times, Sterling was unable to convert them all, Had Reece James featured, there definitely would have been more chances for Sterling, and maybe a goal scoring probability from James himself. Regardless, I believe we will be seeing a much more stable Chelsea once Foufana their new signing takes his position in their defence and making it possible for Reece James to finally play from the wing up front. If Chelsea can also secure another striker, if possibly Aubumeyang, it will go a long way helping their campaign this season because Rahim Sterling alone cannot be depended on.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 30, 2022, 06:39:53 PM
I still think that Akanji is at least as good as those two and even if he will also not play regularly at ManCity then at least his new club is definitely better than his old one.
He will spend his early days in Manchester city warming the bench as well, unless perhaps something happens.

Arsenal should be able to get another midfielder as a backup to face a busy schedule and previously Arsenal were reportedly eyeing Youri Tielmans from Leicester.
There are reports that that Arsenal are still keen and optimistic about getting an extra midfielder and a defender so we don't ruin our impressive start to the season with our constant injury challenges that has already started. I am positive about Youri Tielemans and Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: August 30, 2022, 05:25:14 PM
The guidelines are good on a broader sense when you think of it, but their detailed strategy on how to honor the guidelines like gambling with just 1% per month and just 4 times in a month seems unachievable to me. Say for instance, using same example of someone with a household income of $70k and supposed to use $58 which is 1% of it in a month to gamble say the 4 times or even lesser, It means the person will still have to further split the $58 into the number of times he is to gamble that month, gambling with such an amount seems like a joke.

IMO, the summary of the guidelines to lower-risk gambling are;
-Gamble with a fixed percent of your household income, an amount you can afford to loose.
-Choose the number of times you will gamble in a month and be disciplined about it.
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am initiating a bill to review the ban on Bitcoin in my country's parliament. on: August 30, 2022, 01:58:01 PM
... it was very clear that most of our legislatures know nothing about Bitcoin. They just rely on the information they get mainly from the Central Bank Chiefs.
You didn't speak to them all, so you can't assume that "most of them in the legislature" know nothing about bitcoin. I think that apart from the set of them that just accepted the bias information passed on to them by the central bank chief, they actually know the benefits that this new technology holds but because of selfish interest and being that it directly poses a threat to their centralized system, they choose to ignore it and focus on these alone;
1.   Bitcoin promote fraud?
2.   Bitcoin promotes the loss in value of naira?
3.   Bitcoin is used to fund Crime
4.   Bitcoin aids tax invasion.
5.   Bitcoin transactions are anonymous
6.   Bitcoin is very volatile.
2266  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina's Mendoza province now accepting crypto for taxes and fees on: August 30, 2022, 09:24:26 AM
... at this stage, it will only accept stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) for tax payments.
Any positive news in favor of cryptocurrency's growth at the moment is accepted. The number of people in the crypto community both the Old and new, especially the new ones need some form of reassurance that cryptocurrency is still going to be pumping soon again. If a country like Argentina (the eight largest country in the world) are accepting the benefits and advantages crypto presents for the argentine people against inflation especially as the value of their local currency is on the decline, I think they will have a huge influence on other little countries in the South American region.

it will only accept stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) for tax payments.
That's disappointing.
It starts from somewhere.
2267  Economy / Economics / Re: Global inflation rate from 2017 to 2027(compared to previous year) on: August 30, 2022, 08:39:58 AM
I could not really understand what this means, we are presently in 2022, but the inflation rate in 2023 to 2027 was included. What does this means? Is it accurate or just a prediction of what could happen in the future? What if the global inflation rate is lesser or greater during those coming year?
Staticians rely on mathematical numbers to make predictions via calculations. They collated data from the previous years and with mathematics found a sequences to make a prediction into the future. Because it is purely a mathematical prediction, some factors that can affect the inflation rate positively by lowering it are not put into consideration, what the prediction is based upon is if the present factors affecting it do not change, hence it is a prediction that cannot be relied on as it is based on fixed factors.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Banks on: August 29, 2022, 05:33:41 PM

Bitcoin (Right) and Banks (Left) works.

What are your thoughts about this?
Looking at this simple representative image, you can see that the financial hold the government formerly had on us their citizens was too much and unchallenged, one could simply just have an idea of what Satoshi must have seen that prompted the thought of how to not necessarily eliminate, but challenge the centralized system where every transaction had to be run through the banks. There would have been an absence of option had Satoshi not made the bold move.
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be worth zero? on: August 29, 2022, 05:13:56 PM
OP, I can understand that your concern and what has prompted this question, which is as a result of the recent dip in the price of btc, where the price dropped below the $20k mark yet again, almost unexpected and it is causing uncertainty to brew in the mind of hodlers. Btc may dip further, but the price will never get to zero, at least that is something everybody who has been with bitcoin can say in agreement. There is a possibility for other coins to get to zero, but not bitcoin IMO.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 29, 2022, 01:04:27 PM
I think the urgency of the need for a striker by Manchester united forced them to make a panic buy so they agreed to the price fixed by ajax for Antony,
The transfer window is almost closing, so I agree with you when you say it seems like panic buying. Another perspective to it is that the Manchester United coach must have seen that him bringing on the butcher Martinez someone he is already conversant with their style of play is working so far for him and he just wants another player that he can trust their ability to deliver. Regardless of whichever it is, congratulations to Manchester United, it seems they are already moving past their dependence on Ronaldo.

premier league promoted nottingham forest has signed another left-back. from spanish club atletico madrid comes the brazilian Renan Lodi, who was recently still criticized by coach Diego Simeone.
I like the effort Nottingham are making to want to remain in the EPL, I sincerely hope it all works out well for them and they remain.
2271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spend your valuable times and get valuable knowledge on: August 29, 2022, 12:17:07 PM
Not all knowledge gotten from forum can be considered valuable, considering that there as still some discussions featured in some boards that hold little or no benefit/relevance to any reader. Some discussions are just regular discussions.

It's my opinion that if anyone give more time in this forum then he/she easily go up.
True that you can learn a thing or two from this forum, but do not completely depend on forum alone for updated knowledge. The forum should not be seen as a substitute for following up on news, reading articles and publication etc. but as a plus to it.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 28, 2022, 06:55:34 PM
Nottingham forest defense doesn't seem too bad despite conceding 2 goals from Tottenham.
Nottingham forest are a fairly good team that have the potential to be better, It is just that Tottenham are a better team. I think the focus of the Nottingham management  right now is trying to survive the premier League having been out for a long time, you notice that they wear no name of any major sponsors on the kits yet.

For the next game, Nottingham Forest will face Manchester City and it doesn't look like it will be fun for them. Defeat will be hard to avoid, but I hope it will be an exciting match too.
Unfortunately Manchester city will smoke them even if they manage to score first, that team is on fire!!!
2273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will you handle this case on: August 28, 2022, 12:08:10 PM
if you are in my shoe what will you do..
First you get proof first that the brother you suspect was actually the one who moved the crypto, so you don't falsely accuse him and ruin your relationship with him. Once you are sure that he is the one, I also think it is wise to confront him with the facts and express your dissapointment while still trying to push him to return it if he still has it. You don't need to let your other brother who has been affected know who has robbed him so it doesn't ruin their relationship as well, but give a serious advice to him to be more careful and try to trust people less regardless of status with things regarding finance.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dip, Dipper, Dippest on: August 28, 2022, 11:44:25 AM
Are we moving towards the dippest part of the dip?
No one in my opinion, will be able to give an accurate prediction or answer your question correctly, but I would say that it is best you prepare your mind for whatever situation that comes so far you have made the decision to Hodl for long-term. See the dip as more of an opportunity to gather more bitcoins to add up to your portfolio but still you must refuse the urge to be tempted to invest more now than you can afford to loose because the market is presenting an opportunity.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: August 27, 2022, 05:35:52 PM
Southampton vs Manchester United
Congratulations to Ten Hag, Manchester United are beginning to find their rhythm without Maguire and Ronaldo. It is looking like Ronaldo will soon be out of the club because the commentator on the game kept saying that this might be Ronaldo's last game for the club. Two wins in a row, their supporters will definitely be happy this weekend.

Chelsea vs Leicester City
I was thinking Leicester would have taken advantage of the fact that Chelsea were a man down and playing with ten men, but Reece James and Sterling were the difference in the game. We will be seeing a stronger Chelsea team especially since they have now succeeded in signing Wesley Fofana from Leicester, Reece James will now be able to play in front, a position he plays so well.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth
Liverpool made a statement today to say that they are back in the race for the title this season, It was a complete demolition.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
It is never safe against Manchester City even if you are two goals ahead, Haaland will definitely be this seasons top scorer, he has settled in properly into the club.

Arsenal vs Fulham [/b]
Many chances in the first half for arsenal, we dominated play in the first half, Martin Ødegaard is having a spectacular game, but Leno the goalkeeper for Fulham has stopped our chances, hoping we can find a goal in the second half, we need to maintain our winning form especially since we haven't lost to Fulham in a while.
2276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and Bitcoin began to be known by the rural community on: August 27, 2022, 03:08:57 PM

I look at this and what I see is how branding and branded materials is having a positive effect regarding increasing the popularity of bitcoins. As you took note of the inscription on the shirt likewise others who have taken note of it as well. It is good thing that regardless of government policies they do not affect wearing branded materials. Noticing that there is need to play a part, I advice OP that if possibly you take it upon yourself to maybe give out more materials branded with bitcoins. It could go a long way regardless of any limitations the government in your place has set.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling sites don't offer betting on bitcoin price ? on: August 27, 2022, 12:21:48 PM
Why Gambling sites don't offer betting on bitcoin price ?
Like whether bitcoin will go up next hour or go down and stuff like these?
I guess you didn't know there where gambling sites with such options because it is not a common option amongst gambling sites. All gambling sites have their freedom of options to choose which games or things people can bet on on their platform, there is no fixed rule that all betting sites must feature the same things, hence the reason why only a few of them eg "freebitco.in" feature betting on bitcoin price.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are your favorite dealers ? on: August 27, 2022, 11:21:37 AM
Correct me if I am wrong, but are casino dealers not features of offline casino? are there any need for Casino dealers in online casinos when the functions which casino dealers perform which include; Monitoring the gambling table to ensure that rules are followed and the winner determined has become automated?

Sometimes online live casino games are boring...
IMO, An online live casino will be boring if it has a poor UI design and unentertaining sound track, It will not offer satisfaction and a good experience.
2279  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: August 26, 2022, 06:07:27 PM
New Topic : The return of Colonialism and Colonial Mentality.

Will American or British Politicians under any reason travel to Nigeria or any other country to hold meetings on issues concerning their countries?
I personally don't see any big deal with them holding their meeting in London or any other place they choose, and there's no need to compare the activities of our politicians with those politicians in America and Britain, e be like "white man mentality" to me like say we must always compare our actions with their own for validation. The main issue of concern for me is the details and wetin dem resolve for the meeting. If you observe the picture wey Obasanjo dey, you go see say Atiku nor show face for there regardless of say e dey the same london and na OBJ former vice. E dey do me like say OBJ and am still dey get problem.

It's quite a story that you have put together OP,
let this story help us to bear in mind the significance of going an additional mile in all our efforts in the forum.
In other words, You should be very expressive, see every topic you want to contribute to as an opportunity to express yourself fully and make your views and perspective known, don't spare us any detail that you think will be of importance or benefit to someone on the forum. This also means that you shouldn't flood the forum with plenty unnecessary discussions/details in your post just because I said you should be expressive, take note of the key phrase I used, ''your details have to be of benefit or importance to someone''.
