That transfer would definitely make sense for everyone involved in my opinion. To be honest i am quite surprised that Akanji did not play at all so far in this season given the fact that he was in the starting eleven almost every game in the last season and he also played pretty well back then if you ask me. Seems like the new coach of Dortmund just prefers to play with Hummels and Süle or Schlotterbeck as his central defenders. That makes sense though as Dortmund really wanted to sign those two new defenders.
I still think that Akanji is at least as good as those two and even if he will also not play regularly at ManCity then at least his new club is definitely better than his old one.

The report would definitely define how long he would stay out of play. But the good news is that Oleksandr Zinchenko might be available for the match against Aston Villa because his knee injury seems to be minimal. Everything regarding this deal for Manuel Akanji is within a few steps of being finalized. There was an offer of €17 million made by Manchester City for this player. I believe that this 27 years old player is going to be a great asset for Manchester City in the future. The defensive lineup of Manchester City will be a lot more complete as a result of Manuel Akanji being a part of the squad.

as you know, the amount is 86 million pounds, there is no doubt that that will give Manchester United's attacking lineup some good stability in the coming years

I don't understand Manchester City management policy. on the one hand they want to strengthen the defense to prevent a lot of goals, while on the other hand they want to bring in players who have not been able to play regularly at their clubs. Manchester City must look for players who can provide competition to other players, with the presence of top players in certain positions, other players will be increasingly encouraged to improve their performance. Manuel Akanji will only add to the list of players on the Manchester City bench, because Akanji flying hours this season are still very minimal.

Manchester United wants to sign Martin Dúbravka as the potential sub goalkeeper for David de Gea. The full agreement has been reached with Newcastle under a loan deal and buy option at £5m but not mandatory. Dúbravka has agreed and will travel to Manchester United soon.

Stats wise, this dude is 33 years old and 1.9m tall. Doesn't seem like he can grow anymore under that age and Manchester United just wants a temporary option for this season.

De Gea has made so many saves last season when the team were doing so bad with Maguire on the field and if it wasnt because of him, we would have ended at top of 10th place for sure. De Gea is pretty much the top choice when it comes to goalkeeper, he might not be as good as his prime but he is still a top notch goalkeeper especially when you have a sucker defender like Maguire ( glad that he is being replaced for the last two games )
