2261  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐁🐁MiceRace.com -The worlds first mouse racing gambling platform !🐁🐁 on: May 19, 2023, 11:59:19 PM
This was my favorite gambling platform of all time. I wish it would come back lol. Or if there was any news about it.

They did actually have a pretty reasonably concept, the problem is it wasn't executed correctly since the developers were gambling novices. With correct implementation, it could have been done pretty well.

I understand that this is an old thread, but I must confess that I had to research it to try to understand how it was possible for someone to even think that picking up mice and running a race and people betting would be a good idea, so I saw this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDG5ZCQFP_s

this is a video of how this casino made bets on mouse races, even though i watched it several times i kept asking myself how people would analyze which mouse they should bet on? and how could they put each odd value on each mouse? how many markets were there in this game? there are many questions, but something that I also think is that it is wrong to enslave animals in this way, that is to earn money at the expense of the animals' pain, they did not consent to this. but unfortunately we are in a society where making money is what matters most even if morals and ethics are ignored, the project went bankrupt and even if it had not gone bankrupt today it would face many problems in this market and would end up going bankrupt

I sometimes think that there are some mice that are drugged in order to perform better compared to the rest of the roster. I also wonder how the odds are determined on these mice: do they have a rating on how these mice perform? Are they keeping tabs on the mice's previous performances on previous races? There's just a lot of questions that doesn't make sense to us outside viewers of this gambling game, and I'm quite interested in knowing these information even though I won't really bet on this ever.
2262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many mixers all of a sudden? on: May 19, 2023, 11:46:50 PM
There is no longer a tough competition, and the mixers that you are seeing which are appearing now were the ones that used to be on the sidelines barely existing. They are trying their best to advertise their services to hopefully get the market share that CM left. There may be a lot of other factors that we might not know, but we all know that the major one is Chipmixer leaving the scene. Most of these services also existed years before, too, so no they are not appearing like mushrooms during a thunderstorm.
2263  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it about morality or productivity in choosing to work from Home on: May 19, 2023, 11:10:47 PM
Jobs that do not need to be confined in the office have produced a lot more positive results compared to when they're inside the office. Also, those who are creating vehicles need to be on site obviously, and Elon's comparison on these two things are very poor. It's never a question of morality, it's the question of efficiency and how much things can be done on which setup while also limiting the cost of operations and whatnot. This is what Elon cannot comprehend, or he does but he's pushing the narrative to go out there and use vehicles because, well, he has an interest on it as one of his companies is working on electric cars.

I believe that a hybrid setup on jobs that this is applicable is way better than a permanent work-at-home or work-at-office setup because this change in environment can actually help the employee get a better feel at working because they are not seeing the same things over and over again.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 10:45:17 PM
Both teams actually are out of gas. Murray was also exhausted and Jokic was breathing in his mouth. They hustled in the 2nd half with a goal to either steal a win from the Nuggets' home or make it a 2-0 lead and have an easy exit if they win both games in Los Angeles.

Damn, I was obsessed by what Murray did so I watched both live and then the replay afterwards. He is so good in the fourth quarter that even Lebron and Davis could not do anything about it.
What could Coach Darvin Ham do to win in their home? They may have the fans' support but what the Nuggets showed was phenomenal and probably Lakers fans will have doubts. They are only giving +4.5 for the Nuggets in Game 3.
I think Lakers got a bit unlucky as well, for two games in a row they get close enough to win with just one ball and then they end up losing that and just lose the game. I get that it is not going to be easy to win games and all, but I feel like they were too close so it must have felt terrible. If they lost clearly that would have been even worse considering they would lose hope, but this way they know that they are good enough to beat them.

Let's see how it will be at Los Angeles, now Lakers will try to defend and get two out of two, it is going to be quite the challenge and I believe that if they can do that then they can win the series. But if Nuggets wins any of these series then we are going to end up with a bad result and Lakers will lose.
The Lakers had Game 2 won. They just had to stop 1 player and couldn't. They led the whole game until the last 5 minutes and then Murray can't miss a 3. Play better defense??? Even if they had played better defense, they still missed a ton of shots down the stretch themselves. Anthony Davis needs more than 18 points a game as well. They started off the 1st half being super aggressive and driving to the hoop getting foul calls left and right. Why did they abandon that?
Well Murray and Jokic played an amazing game and dominated again. This duo is so deadly that i see them going all the way. Lakers might get 1 or 2 wins but they will probobly lose this series against the Nuggets for sure. Jokic and Murray are just better then Davis and James

Davis and James are, on paper and on stats, better than Jokic and Murray but unfortunately these two don't have the connection that the Nuggets duo has. I didn't expect the Nuggets to also perform this way honestly, and I was sold that David and James would be carrying the team easily not until Jokic made some good plays and had Murray involved in the fray.

The Lakers need to step up their last quarter games. This is when the Nuggets are really stepping on the pedal real hard and it has worked quite well.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 19, 2023, 09:53:13 PM
I have participated in gambling on many casino platforms. But haven't seen any casino platform that offers loans for gambling. If that were the case, people would participate in gambling by taking loans from the casino platform, where if they lost, they would later leave the gambling platform. Your friend may have said it differently to you but you have understood it differently. Maybe your friend took part in gambling by taking loans from people in offline gambling sessions. I am sure your friend has not participated in gambling on online casino platform.
Primedice and stake has a forum and long time ago there is a section for loans where gamblers can borrow money. Cool isn't it? But it looks like a curse at the same time because we know where it can mostly lead. I don't exactly know how it works, I mean what is their terms but I think it is risky on the side of the lender because the loans can be defaulted.

It's more likely since the borrowers are gamblers unless only if they require a collateral which can be liquidated easily. Online gambling is now very popular. I don't think his friend will ignore that. Even the people that I know who are not a gambler, tries online gambling but they know how to limit their selves.

There used to be that section, but most of the people in that forum also came from this one, hence they knew how to ask for a collateral before giving out a loan. That was how they solved loan defaults and ‘trust’ among those that are new but still want to take a shot in borrowing. It was pretty much a great system back then and still a great system now, only if the collateral being provided are easily liquidated and not some shitty crypto that is highly volatile and loses value every second.

These controlled debts are fine so long as the borrower knows how to limit themselves in terms of gambling and spending in general. It’s like a gateway to a lot of things that may prove detrimental to them it they don’t have any self-control.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrewing the capital and reinvesting the profits. on: May 18, 2023, 11:59:36 PM
That's a good strategy - you can use the capital for another venture and use the profits to grow whatever money is left on your investment. It's way conservative and safer to do this and puts you at a better spot in terms of risk. You are basically playing with free money the moment you profited off of your initial capital so you can go wild with it or stay with a conservative strategy until you grow your money. This is what a lot of successful businessmen do and it's working, obviously because they continue getting richer.
2267  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we headed to a nowhere economic direction ? on: May 18, 2023, 11:48:05 PM
We're entering a stage of some sort of 'squeeze' economically: interest rates are up, profits are down, and the general market condition is just.. dead. There are still quite a few investment ventures that can prove profitable if you are in that market long before the others, although they are quite few and far in between. Perhaps it could be another recession in the making, but a lot of economists and analysts have been predicting this since 2015 and we've had way worse markets before. Right now, most of the countries--even the usual profitable ones--are slowing down their economic growth.
2268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 18, 2023, 11:30:00 PM
Have you ever heard about data breaches through online sites? If you are swiping up your cards for bonus on some scam casino or hackers have persuaded you to do so you are at complete risk of exposing your banking details and also funds are at risk so in my opinion it's never safe to do such things. At this time there are many scams going on internet and online crypto market so you need to be extra careful and don't fill out your card details for few bucks.

This one is a valid point, although you can directly press charges against a reputable casino if the breach occurred on their website. It's better to play on huge casinos and give your financial information there to play rather than play on new platforms that offer insane amount of bonuses with little to no reputation in the crypto space.

One more thing: do not autosave your credit/debit card info on websites. The few minutes of hassle that re-typing your card info gives is better than regretting losing your funds just because you want to make things 'easy' for yourself. This applies not only to casinos but also to other places as well.

2269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Oldest Casinos in the World on: May 18, 2023, 10:57:49 PM
I'd love to go to that casino in Venezia just for the general feel of what's inside one of the oldest gambling establishments in the world. While I may not be spending money on them, at least I get to feel what other people of old felt when they stepped inside this casino. As for casinos being popular in Germany, it's surprising that a lot of their gamblers aren't really problematic and are just there to take a chance or have a good time.
2270  Economy / Gambling / Re: NFTonSPIN.com - Leading Crypto Casino With Get Full Refund If Not Satisfied on: May 18, 2023, 06:33:10 PM
You need to do a lot of polishing and quality control on your website. It doesn't look professional: there are a lot of spelling errors, a lot of numerical errors, and the overall feel of it doesn't seem to be appealing enough for a lot of us who have seen casinos put out their best effort on the UI/UX department. Also, your announcement is very lackluster. If you want to catch the attention of a lot of players in here, at least try and get a copper membership to post images and get a decent-looking announcement thread. Better use another tagline as well, as the 'leading crypto casino' is a very hard feat to achieve, and as a new casino, you're nowhere near the leading unfortunately.

But yeah, try working on those things and re-post this thread again.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion about sweepstakes and gambling on: May 17, 2023, 11:57:25 PM
1. Is Sweepstakes illegal in the US?

So long as it is within regulations and the laws stipulated by the government, it isn't illegal.

2. Is Sweepstakes gambling or not?

It is! You are essentially taking a risk or a chance into winning something from a good/product that you bought. You still spent money, but not in a way that you use that money to participate in the stake. However since you are participating in something that includes chances and risk (that ticket or whatever that is connected with the good/product/whatever you bought), you are already gambling.
2272  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: May 17, 2023, 11:46:37 PM
Africa's natural resources were always ripe for the picking, however those who are seated on its governments with their corrupt practices are what's rife for harnessing these resources, too. You have some countries that are slowly being sold to China through the absurd loans that these countries are getting for infrastructure and economic development that produces nothing for the citizens and instead, fatten their wallets. Imagine, just the gold and titanium alone in that continent is enough to boost the region's economy by a lot but no, those who have the power to oversee these resources are incompetent and are outright corrupt to the core.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 17, 2023, 11:02:52 PM
Use.. credit card? That’s the closest thing I can think of with the concept, although it may not be what you really are looking for directly. You can always pay later with credit cards although the risk of getting addicted with the game is extremely high. Keeping in mind that what you’re spending at the casino isn’t your own money makes you think twice or thrice into depositing again. Personally, I wouldn’t seek for play now, pay later casinos because it might make me oblivious that what I play with is something that will come back with interest.
2274  Economy / Gambling / Re: What all are your considerations before picking your go to sportsbook? on: May 17, 2023, 09:57:06 PM
I am personally not chasing for the highest odds as a gambler. I’m just looking for a bookie that grades games fast enough for me to hop on to the next event without any delays or whatnot. Especially if I’m following a tournament that has back to back games, it is really important that I can get my winnings (or know that I’ve lost) instantly so I can make preparations for the next game without stressing much about the previous one.

Next is just withdrawals - a very common thing that a lot of people surely are after. Lastly, I think you can add customer support and forum presence in that. A good bookie will always have a good forum presence that engages with its community and answers questions straightforwardly. Without it, community engagement is literally ass and you won’t see me playing for a bookie that doesn’t even communicate with its players.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: May 16, 2023, 11:48:37 PM
This is why it's important to know these costs beforehand before making a deposit and start playing with that platform. You'll never know what you're getting into especially with the withdrawal fees. If a casino platform has that high of a fee to begin with, I'd never turn back once I leave. If they can't make a profit off of just the games that they are offering and are getting some of the profits from the users' wins through withdrawals, they shouldn't really be operating a casino at all.

Then again, it's their platform, they impose the rules and we just play on them. Better look around and seek for other alternatives that do not ask for such a ridiculous withdrawal fee.
2276  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 11:05:58 PM
That is why if your mental constitution is weak, you should never, ever get into gambling especially those that can easily excite you and entice you into spending more money the more you play the game. That is a common strategy that these platforms/people are doing in order to stimulate the minds of the gamblers to spend more, and I'm not surprised that there are still some people that are believing that much in "beginner's luck" that they tend to push it too much.

Can't really blame the people who continues to perpetrate these gambling practices - it's still working and it's still profitable, thanks to these gullible people.
2277  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: May 16, 2023, 11:46:49 AM
I think they can't find a reason to take my money, it's just a small amount for them ($140). 1xbit must have read my complaint here and unlocked it without telling me a word.
It is a small amount for them, but I know people who got scammed for less since 1xbit is greedy as hell. Also, their team rarely checks this thread anymore which is why I doubt they found out about your issue from this thread.

Anyhow forget that you will get your 140$ back. If by any chance, you got it back, then take the money and never come back at 1xbit again.
It seems that he already recovered his amount which mentioned above though it's tough to believe for many which makes sense.

At this point in time, I think these resolved cases in 1xbit's thread is just them trying to paint some colorful picture in an already greyed-out world they put their platform into. They're giving false hopes to a lot of people they scammed over time and using that to hopefully reel some new victims in because they are showing everyone that they're now good for their word and that they can now serve people as they should have been in the first place.

Still, for newbies out there who are reading stories of 1xbit making things right for those whom they wronged, take it with a ton of salt. Do not trust this platform blindly and read all the warnings before deciding to put your money in this place.
2278  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 16, 2023, 11:05:36 AM
You can do one-time swipes on casinos but never, EVER, save your information on them because you're just basically funding your way into addiction. I have heard people say that casinos do give out generous bonuses and a lot of perks on players who are using credit cards and are generally very lenient in a lot of terms to these people because they always know that they can get money from these guys no matter what. If you can control your urges and you're responsible enough to know that you don't have "unlimited money" just because you have a credit card, you're good to go.

Control is what you need in these scenarios. Do not get overly hyped with the bonuses; you can't use those to pay your debt.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 15, 2023, 11:57:13 PM
Fnatic to beat G2   2-1  was a 7x bet  and somehow I thought that should be bet because of the odds not because its likely but the value of taking this bet means its fair to do so.  In CS anything can happen and yep that is just what happened, Fnatic beats G2 when really they shouldnt but all the biggest teams get counter strat'd and thats why CS is different I guess, teams doing their homework can bring the win.   Kinda amazing for them, hope they take it forward for another win Smiley

CS:GO maps may not be changing that rapidly when compared to other games out there, players are still finding new ways to play the game and to get ahead of other teams in certain maps and we love it. G2 is supposed to be a finalist contender in this last major, but they dropped to Fnatic whom haven't really been up to shape on the last few tournaments. It's still something unique in CS that not every other esports titles can't replicate.

Even my 3 map bet for ENCE and NIP is not a winner, thats sad as ENCE have definitely done better in the past.   Anyway lesson learned, take 7x bets on underdogs if you get a feeling it could happen its worth it just for fun has to be Smiley

Or maybe just bet on some of the underdogs just for the hell of it with low amounts and just hope for the best? Grin
2280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 15, 2023, 09:37:13 PM
People follow where the money is, and since bitcoin has the ability to pull in a lot of people to invest into it, those who have deep pockets used this opportunity to make money and stimulate the markets into forcing a lot of people to buy it. While bitcoin in itself is a generally good hedge against inflation, I wouldn't bet everything on it, as diversification is still key. Precious metals remain to be sought after since they still have a lot of utility in the modern world. They're still used in a lot of industries and some other industries can't even function well without it.

To put it simply, you can invest in bitcoin, but do not put everything in it and still have something for other assets around.
