Really bad performance from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Unable to reach 145 runs with players like Virat Kohli, Du Plessis, Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik, Hasaranga is really bad. There is a chance, but the unwanted run out of Dinesh Karthik made Bangalore miss the chance of winning. During the last overs of Rajasthan Royals Hasaranga missed the catch of Parag after which he scored few sixes. That looks like a turning point of the match. Rajasthan Royals with the win have reached top of the table.
2262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: April 26, 2022, 04:52:33 PM
Bitcoin and ethereum increased in price once after the news of Twitter and Elon Musk. Big rise happened with dogecoin, and further it corrects. Bitcoin was with good stability around $40k over the past weeks. Institutional investors are bullish about the market, but the market is experiencing decline. There is no specific incident to be connected with the market decline. Bitcoin will turn bullish, until then we'll experience some form of corrective moves which weren't the indication of bear market.
2263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: April 26, 2022, 03:45:30 PM
Central African Republic isn't known much to the outer world. The decision to adopt bitcoin as legal tender is a good move. With population around 5million the adoption of bitcoin could make good progress in the countries economy when majority start using it. So many small countries are adopting bitcoin as legal tender. This needs to happen with growing countries too.

Central African Republic being a poor country the law has been supported by National Assembly of Central African Republic to help with economic recovery and peacebuilding efforts. We don't know how this gonna happen, but surely the country will experience good progress in the long term. The country lacks technology and initially government needs to focus in educating people as well as getting people connected through internet.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Listed in Robin Hood on: April 25, 2022, 11:51:55 PM
^  i don't think there'll be another pump as huge as the one it had.  If it did, it would mean it could go within the top 10 at CMC or maybe even the top 5?  Lol.  I just don't see it happening.  There's just too much supply, too much bag holders and not much extra money in the market to buy it up anymore.

But look at what they're trying to do...

https://burn.shibaswap.com/details

They're trying to make their community burn SHIB and 49% of what they burn will bw rewarded in RYOSHI tokens.  If more than a billion dollar market gets created for RYOSHI then there are def huge players behind this.
Even at the time of Shiba pumping none expected it'll grow this high. Though it is a memecoin, it had a good support system and the Shiba army to speculate and create market. Often we can see service providers adding Shiba to the accepted list. This too is a good thing with a memecoin. For this reason there is more chances of growth to some extent. If it pumps high as it had in the past, nothing to get surprised. Through burning of billions of tokens the market is kept stable without letting it down the track.
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 25, 2022, 10:49:16 PM
Let's presume that all of these facts are correct.  Does that mean that you (Vaskiy or anyone else) would agree with the conclusion that El Salvador's bitcoin experiment is "a big failure" or "failed to take off?"
I'm not sure, how far is the data accurate. Based on the data it isn't a failure. The country is experimenting and experiencing the reality of adoption. This will help other countries in the queue for bitcoin as legal tender to make better plans and implement.
I personally would assert that the data does not support the such conclusion, but I would be interested to hear possible strong arguments (based on reason, facts and logic rather than emotions and fears about bitcoin) that El Salvador's bitcoin experiment is "a big failure" - especially given that we are still ONLY less than 8 months since the legal tender law actually went into effect - - even though surely we are nearly 10 11 months since the June 2021 announcement that they (El Salvador) were (was) going to go down this bitcoin implementation path.

Edit:
made the two minor changes highlighted above
It is too early to give conclusion for the big step taken by a country. For a country with a population around 7million even 5% of users getting used to bitcoin and making use of it directly is a big success. I believe El Salvador have achieved it. El Salvador have to plan wise to withstand the situation even when the market turns bearish, because it is the only country that is being followed to know how effective is bitcoin in a country's growth.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 25, 2022, 07:40:38 PM
A recent study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), an American nonprofit research organization, Bitcoin adoption has failed to take off in El Salvador for various reasons.

  • More than 60% of respondents ditched the government’s Chivo wallet after using the $30 bonus
  • 89% of Salvadorans have never received remittances with the help of the chivo app
  • 99% of the respondents have never paid taxes with Bitcoin.
  • 60% of citizens did not download Chivo at all
  • Majority of Salvadorans have never used Chivo ATMs
  • 80% of companies in El Salvador still do not accept the largest cryptocurrency
  • 12% of the storea accepting bitcoin chose to store their coins in the wallet, whereas the majority convert it to USD
  • El Salvador also postponed the issuance of its much-hyped Bitcoin bonds.

2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we going to see a new altcoin boom soon on: April 25, 2022, 06:37:25 PM
The Market scenario give sign of Bear which is not good for Altcoin. Every month there is meeting to control inflation. For this purpose they decrease the number of notes which directly effect on Bitcoin price because low note mean low money will be enter into market. For 2022 I recommend stay safe and don't go for big trading or futures
The market hasn't turned bearish, but there is more expectancy for bearish move. Even if an altcoin boom happens, it won't be that big as the year 2017-2018. According to me the market won't turn bearish all of the sudden. It takes time, everything will happen in a gradual manner.

The previous massive crash happened when the invasion or Ukraine by Russia happened. Further the recovery happened with bitcoin, and the same is being followed by the altcoins. Potential altcoins in the top order along with fee meme coins will make good progress. Be careful while selecting altcoins for investment.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Gen Z on: April 25, 2022, 04:25:20 PM
For now bitcoin will serve as the digital king, but we can't be sure with the future. In the fast moving world we have been experiencing transition in different forms. What has happened from fiat to the present cryptocurrency is one form of growth in this generation. Technology advances with time, so will be the need of the people. Based on this surely the next generation will look for better form of development.
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 25, 2022, 01:07:00 PM
Even the people who are hard users of cryptocurrency prioritise cryptocurrency as an investment and for retirement. Very few among the cryptocurrency holders use it as fiat on day to day needs. The stores around the world with cryptocurrency acceptance is very limited and is accumulated on specific regions. This also makes people use fiat as the norm, though the inflation of fiat money keeps rising.

The price fluctuation of bitcoin is the major reason why bitcoin isn't preferred against the fiat. For example today we buy a product for 0.1BTC and the same will be down or up tomorrow. This is also a reason why people don't prefer bitcoin on daily needs similar to fiat.
2270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 25, 2022, 10:53:20 AM
I don't see any point in teaching the kids about investment that will lead to greed because most of the kids that I know are really starting their own investment in Bitcoin. Teach them while they are young, so they can start to decide if they are into investing in crypto or not. My child is not yet big enough to learn this, so if she is at 10, that is the time I will introduce them, but not force them to learn it, but let them love it.

Can't agree more that it's not recommended to teach kids about bitcoin trading and investment unless they grow up and decides by themselves. What we can teach kids is the technology aspect of Bitcoin as they grow up. I am strongly against involving kids in crypto unless they are atleast 10, since there are many bad things also associated with use of crypto.

I think 10 years old is still not the right time to start teaching them about bitcoin, even worse if we teach them how to invest and trade bitcoin at that age. In my opinion, the best time we can teach them the concept of bitcoin is when they are over 15 years old. As for teaching them to invest let them feel understand what bitcoin is, then let them decide to invest or not. We should not force our children, we will hinder their development by forcing them into a profession they do not love.
Yes, 10 years of age isn't right time to be taught about bitcoin. Atleast 15 years of age is good to teach about bitcoin. There might be students who are good enough to learn and know about bitcoin and technology. For them it is good, if we teach them more about bitcoin.

We used to play a game called business in which fake fiat Money is used. Maybe using bitcoin in those games will give kids know about bitcoin and in later years they'll learn further. What can be done at present is, just giving introduction about bitcoin.
2271  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 25, 2022, 07:43:22 AM
According to the news source Twitter could ink a deal to sell itself to Elon Musk this week: WSJ it looks like there is more chances of Elon Musk's offer for Twitter gets passed.

Sunday the board directors of Twitter had a meeting with Elon Musk to discuss on the deal. There is good progress in the deal, same time there is chances of hash out. Twitter is to report the first quarter earnings, and based on the same will be the deal planned. Let's wait for the week to see the outcome.

Lol. 2 consistent things this season are MI continue to lose and @JSRAW continues betting on them regardless of their losses. I have no idea why some people still have faith in this broken team who look like they might break the 11 losses in a row record.
Even I was supporting Mumbai Indians win the match. This is all because they've lost the chance of getting into playoff. Believing atleast now they'll show some tremendous performance to make a win.
(Try to be active in this thread translating for our russian ethnic friend @Royse777) Otherwise i'm going to shame you with tons of punjabi, marathi and tamil's curse words (learning).
Lol. I am one of the most active members in this thread. Looks like MI is screwing with your mind.
Myself trying to be active from today's match. As fourth round have reached the order of the participants on the leader board have changed completely. Slowly I stepped up, and suddenly with the last four match wrong prediction once again back to my position.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 25, 2022, 06:45:46 AM
I wonder why the big whales are so low key. Don't they like to get famous. MAy be one of the reasons is they don't waste much time on scrolling the phone all the time like us - rather they focus. more on getting the earn and investing money. I being a middle class person can not even think to make such a huge bet.
The reason might be that the Big whales wouldn't even care much about the money they would spend on gambling, don't want to be famous that's a classic reason , they just wanted to have fun with the money they deserved to spend, indeed they wouldn't be interested in bonuses or anything but not all. I thought the big whales would only play if they can do it, gambling for them was not a job, but that's also not all whales are like that, sometimes they also have to focus in different directions including gambling and they also need a win. Such a huge bet for an adrenaline loving big whale.

This can be for fun, and I believe these whale gamblers are in profit even after wagering with such big amounts. Without profit whether it is a whale or someone who doesn't care about money will rethink whether to wager with such big amounts further. There is more chances of these whales to be in profit. Op should've watched little more time, if so we could've known whether he won further or took break.
2274  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: April 23, 2022, 11:59:28 PM
I think, The results are clear after the meeting between the EU and OPEC.  It is almost impossible to find an alternative source of 7 million barrels of oil per day for the EU, which is why the oil embargo sanctions from Russia have not been applied.  The fact that OPEC only accepts to increase production to about 400,000 bpd would be too modest.  Meanwhile, the most promising ones are the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which claim to have no more supply to the market.  The consequences of geopolitics continue to wreak havoc on a world economy

It's very complicated one.Russia is one of the best and huge holding gas capacity. OPEC may be the other oppurnuity for the Europe to get away from the gas dependence. In a meanwhile of war, Europe can use od OPEC. Seems to be war will be end before the October. Because Russia can't handle this war during the winter. This is good opportunity for the OPEC to earn huge in short period.

Or as much as possible, Russia should stop this war but you have a point that they may not handle this during winter. That would be a killing to their soldiers themselves. Anyway, why not look for alternative sources of energy within the region rather than looking for alternative gas supplies? If no one can supply them, then, maybe it is high time to exhaust their energy potential via renewable sources.
No way , renewable energy just a dream .. everybody knows about it. despite its huge advantages ... there is too much challenges to bear , corporate won't get the money that they wanted , it's surely not as profitable as the current energy businesses , moreover the political pressure are the most influential one , so yeah big no , never be an option to be a solution.

russia try to prove that they can live with the west sanctions so do with the west. mad world.
Renewable energy is no more a dream. This might take time, but for sure this is going to be the future of energy. Already we've got transition happening in the automotive industry. This will slowly make changes in different industrial sectors. Today saw about Ships that are functioning completely on renewable energy. When that is possible, surely the dream will come true.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: April 23, 2022, 11:47:59 PM
Probably. ICC is way too lenient towards its umpires whose mistakes keep increasing over time.
ICC can't make more changes, because in the past the umpires used to make decisions to change the matches. Now things weren't the same and the decisions weren't intentional. I expected RCB to make a big win, but things happened completely against them. The first three predictions of the ongoing round have gone wrong.
2276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if she receives Bitcoin as gift on: April 23, 2022, 11:22:27 PM
We know that bitcoin is a really nice gift to a person but it depends on how they will use this kind of coin, to the people does not know how the bitcoin works, it's quite hard to understand to them how to manage and deal with it, but now with the use of the internet, we know the bitcoin is very on the top of the trend because of the value of it and of course, there's a chance they hold or sell this immediately because it has a value.  Holding is the key this kind of give is quite expensive but worth it to give.
With the existence of more user friendly applications using the bitcoin is very easy. If an user have received bitcoin as gift and wants to sell, there are more tutorials that help with the same. However holding is the key, because the gift becomes more valuable with time. These days this is getting to be common practice to gift in the form of bitcoin, as more and more people have known about it in recent years.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 22, 2022, 11:59:39 PM
~
Mumbai lost for the 7th straight match because of the unbeaten innings of MS Dhoni. Regardless of how old the lion is, he never stops hunting. In a thrilling last ball finish, Dhoni retains his leadership skills. Winning and losing are a part of the game, but what can be said about the Mumbai Indians' season so far? Yes, at the end it was a great fight from them, but it also helped them to lose their seventh match in a row. It is only Mumbai Indians who deserve the blame.
The expectations were too high for Mumbai India, after watching their last match i came to conclusion that they were having a new team literally except for a couple of other players and their main stay Rohit Sharma is in terrible form throughout this season and without a good start the team is struggling. Dhoni showed his class once again and the way in which he was able to control the match till the final ball is a skill in itself.
They have the big expectation, because they're the leaders winning the IPL trophy as well as in entering the top 4. This time losing seven consecutive matches is really bad experience for them and an unexpected one. In this season every team is in a good competence level, if you look at every match there is a fight back and very few one sided matches. Even yesterday's match between DC and RR proved how close the end results. So, its time for them to be more careful in handling every team to start their win.
2278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 22, 2022, 11:57:07 PM
I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. Or maybe a slow gradual push up. Maybe in 20 years it will be worth half a mil.

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|

Will btc ever hit a million? Or hundred million?

I kick myself so hard every night going to sleep that I didn't get in earlier. Liek I'll literally have dreams of being in 2013 when I first heard about it and buying some... T_T
If you know bitcoin well, you will never have to think whether you are too early or too late to invest. Bitcoin will always be a profitable investment because of its appreciating value, its just that you have to take the risk and be more patient from long term hodling while waiting for the best time to sell. I suggest have a positive mindset so you can start your move now and be profitable in the future.
Well said, and it is upto the users. If they think it is late to the party, and look for an opportunity then once again they're gonna delay their entry into the market. Further this will make them feel, looking upon the progress of the market. As mentioned always have a positive mindset when you make an investment, particularly into cryptocurrency. Choose the right one and invest. When you don't feel bad investing on the inflated currencies, feel comfortable investing on bitcoin and top cryptocurrencies.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: April 22, 2022, 11:35:56 PM
What a last over that was, Obviously that was a NO BALL, and it's okay as an umpire to miss that, but keeping that ego of not referring to the third umpire for this is absolute stupidity on the part of Umpire, we saw in the day before yesterday's game as well that the Umpires did go upstairs when they were unable to determine about the height, and when you have the technology you should definitely use it. Even though Rishab Pant was wrong, but that's a very normal reaction from anyone. I remember Dhoni stepped on the field in one such situation a few years back, if someone so calm & Experienced like him can do this, you can't expect Rishab Pant to stay cool.
Rovman Powell hit three sixes in the last over and that delay changed the momentum of the match, Obed McCoy composed himself and then sent him good line and length balls, if the match would have continued without the fight and the drama where nothing can be done against the decision of the umpires, all they did was delay and give advantage to the opposition and Rovman Powell could not connect a single ball after that.
This is where the experience plays the role. Umpires have made the decision and they'll never take an stand just because the player request for a no ball. If the umpire does so, then he'll be termed wrong. Finally the DC players itself collapsed the momentum and paved way for the win. There is no need for such an argument and calling the batsmen out of the pitch.
2280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Past The $40,000 Barrier Again? on: April 20, 2022, 11:59:41 PM
The market is moving gradually without any external influence, which means the real growth is happening. Bitcoin have broken the $40k barrier again and further it tends to break $43500 resistance zone. If that happens the market will tend to test the $45k long term resistance zone. Failing to broke the zone will take the price down to $40k, if not we'll see continued growth. The major reason for the ongoing market progress seems like to be the approval of first Bitcoin ETF by Australia Security Exchange and Commission.
