1. 55nm. Like it or not a 55nm need more electricity and hotter than 28nm. Hotter means less durability, Ive seen in CPU and it should be similar to this or any chip.
Not true with the existing designs. Bitfury's are 55nm, and they are lower power than anything else available.

Hello, thank you for the quick response. However, I am looking for the original post from their login AMT_Miners so that we can cleanly state that they themselves are saying that they have been shipping. I believe it was somewhere on this thread...
Thanks again in Advance.
Guys,
Calm down. We shot the video yesterday and its at the video product company being formatted and what nut. ORDER 400 TO 500 HAVE BEEN SHIPPED OUT ALREADY! ...

I found the button ignore, it's pretty useful for some of the annoying posters that aren't adding any value.

You're one of the first to get the new 1.2 units! What's the power draw? How many BTC have you mined by now?
Disappointing indeed. Guess I'll hold my Neptune preorders.
LOL, why? With the S2 you'll get an extra couple months of mining in.
yeah mate, sry, but i really think this is how it will look.
They say it's a 4U case. Other than that, I couldn't care less how it looks. It's not going to be sitting on my coffee table. It's going to be buried in closet/hosting facility.
On the bitmain site, the price is fixed to 3899$ and then the reflected BTC price to side.
Disappointing. That's going to make ROI calculations much more complicated.

Do you think the antminer s1 will still be viable, and be sold at a high price relatively quickly on ebay or other marketplaces?
S1 is still great if you have cheap power.
Not to beat a dead horse or be confrontational, but what is so revolutionary about the S2 technology wise? The enermax powersupplies? The ugly silver case? Please point out where they're pushing the edge. The Lightning, Dragon, JT, etc are in the same space (1TH/s), are pricey at over $4k-5k each, but at least they're using 28nm A1s(stolen or not).
I'm just trying to see to value proposition with regards to the (same old)tech they're using.
28nm vs 55nm means nothing. All that matters is "up-front cost", "date of delivery", and "power draw". S2 wins against every other product on the market.
S1 is cheaper up-front, but higher power draw. S2 is more expensive up-front, but with lower power draw will be able to run longer. Both are decent offers.

Ack, people, do your homework. Cancel that order. Here's just one good example. There are several more. We have a weekend special S1 x $630.- in US Dollars Bitmain Distributor USA/CAN - https://112bit.com

Ants are the best, but that reseller is a rip-off. Either get them from bitmaintech.com, or one of the good resellers.

Any miner including such transactions in their own blocks would be starting their own fork. No one else will accept their blocks.

And by the way, "giorgiotheclown" is just a goofy brainless asinine! Only coward use childish pseudonym such as "giorgiotheclown"....

Hello sockpuppet. What's your main username?

Wow, Bitmain just decreased price to 0.996 BTC. 1.24 bucks less? Not even enough to buy a coffee? No shit, guys?

Well they finally have my order saying processing (rather than on hold like it has been since the day I ordered) and jim e-mailed saying my order will ship out week of the 24th.
LOL! "In two weeks." Now where have I heard that before...
Interesting from someone with "Buy and Hold" in his signature.
Well I guess being somewhat optimistic isn't really popular those days.
Hehe. Yeah, I'm 99% Buy and Hold. I play with 1% from time to time for a little excitement and entertainment, but it is rarely profitable. I'd have far more BTC if I took my own advice.
your right... but i think its possiblem to sell ne miner on ebay with a litle bit profit...
Good point. Reselling it is a bit risky, but definitely could turn a profit. Cool, thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to drop by there next time I'm over there.
It's a 11.39% jump, not that bad actually. If the difficulty rise keep slowing down, the delay might not completely kill our chances to get some ROI.
Keep dreaming. Your ROI is already long gone. Miners are now under $3/gh, and that's already borderline profitable. Bitmine is extremely overpriced, and there's very little chance they will ever break even.
